I had an amazing experience with Gammon. Carolynn was super helpful, got my work order through SUPER quickly (on the order of a week total before everything was done). Good customer service, the install of a propane boiler and on demand hot water system was all handled in a single day. I switched from oil -> propane in 10 hours. Amazing work!
I started working with the owner Bruce Gammon by asking for a quote on a new heating system, including a heat pump for a four season porch. His pricing was very competitive and he made me comfortable with the installation and the choices that we made for my home. It turns out his whole organization is very much like him after the sale the support and the help from people in his office is incredible. The person who coordinates the Efficiency Maine Rebates and helps with any of my questions is Debbie and she is outstanding. I have worked with Roger the service manager also he is very knowledgeable and turns out is a master electrician. If youre ready to make a decision on a heating system I would call Gammon you can trust them to help you make the best possible decision at a fair price.Jim

Recently I experienced significant issues with my old steam boiler, within a couple of hours of calling Gammons they arrived to take look and assess whether or not the boiler could be repaired. Unfortunately my old boiler was past the point of repair, and I was provided a quote for a new boiler the same day. Within a couple of days of accepting the quote the Gammons crew was able to install the new boiler. The crew was professional, curious and I appreciate their willingness to get the job done quickly. My problems is not with the equipment or installation. Gammons has not been responsive concerning my rebate which I have not received. (It was solely their responsibility to submit m paperwork to Efficiency Maine.) The rebate is a substantial amount of money and was a selling point from this company concerning concerning these units. I received installation in August 2020 and have call numerous times inquiring over the last 5 months about the status of my rebate and I never get a consistent answer concerning why I have not received any money. I have asked that Gammons refund me from their company and to speak to the owner and have not had any response. My brother and sister used a company out of Scarborough Maine and received their rebates immediately. Since I can not get any assistance from Gammons with this issue now going on 5 months, I can not recommend this company. Also, I must add that I paid my bill promptly and had the integrity to call Gammons twice to remind them that they forgot to bill me for the second half of the balanced owed. I wish I could say this company had the same integrity.-P. Tibbetts
The install was great, but after a few months and asking a few times for rebate status, the best answers you get our Ill check into that and I thought that was taking care of. I never got any follow ups except one a day later asking if it was OK before I even got to use it. This did get resolved so I am upgrading a star. Would have been 5 star though so Im going to go with I was the 1% that ran into trouble.
I have the same issue that Ms Tibet’s has with lack of follow up and payment for the rebates. The lack of response is horrible. Poor treatment of Biddeford Pantry volunteer and resident. Just shameful. It’s going on 2 years now of lip service and no action. I’ve stated a small claims

I am not one to complain on the web, especially before I have words with the owner. That being said, the owner himself said he was unable to provide the basics in customer service, after the service call. All I asked was for explanation on a service call. They also ask to be paid, off a tablet not a piece of paper. The working staff are trying to do their best, but as far as the owner, not so much.
We had our heat pump serviced by Gammons and they did a great job. Very courteous, knowledgeable and professional. I highly recommend them!

I needed a quick repair of air conditioning in our family cottage in Old Orchard Beach, and John got it done in time for my parents, who are in their 90s, to enjoy a visit to the cottage in comfort. Highly recommended!
Sadly I never received any promised followup paperwork, receipts, manuals, thank you note...absolutely nothing upon forking over a substantial chunk of cash for work that in the end was hurried and did not produce results I was expecting. Looking back it was a classic case of over promising and under delivering. The attached photos show the messy view from my rear door. Obviously homeowners do not rate with the big commercial guys. Take the money and run.

Once again, Gammon’s has gone above and beyond. Due to cold winter days this year, we decided to add two kickboard vents in the kitchen off of an existing zone. Once cutting into the toe kick, it was decided that the best option was to custom build boxes to maximize air flow. Gammon’s kept true to their original quote even though fabrication was identified afterwards. My wife and kids love the warm floors and was a great purchase. We are looking forward to a long working relationship with the Gammons team. I’d point out special individuals but frankly, everyone on the team is fantastic!

Our sub shop was preparing for opening weekend at the campgrounds that surround us and our fryolator decided that 5 Years was enough and retired.After calling numerous local suppliers and being given 3-5 days for delivery/install. I had spoken with the lady at Gammons and was trying to figure out what to do.At 5:15 pm my phone rang and the gentleman explained that he was the owner of Gammons and apologized for not being available due to meetings. Bruce was very informative and told me that repair of my current unit was a gamble.I got off the phone with the info and talked withThe owner. Decided to try and make it through the busy weekend.Fast forward to 9:30 am Friday and I drop a pint of fries and nothing happens!!! Called Gammons and told him my sad plight.
