Wish I could give zero stars honestly. I went to this shop to buy disposable vapes as New York made them illegal to sell. Called ahead and they were nice giving me a list of what they had. I had bought a Hyde disposable previously but wasn’t super familiar with them. Well Hyde was the main disposable brand that they had in stock. Bought a ton of lush ice because that’s my favorite across all brands of disposables. Picked out a few others. And then bought a couple of a different brand. Ended up spending $297.50 all together. We’re on our way home and my boyfriend mentions they don’t have a scratch off sticker for the QR code that Hyde uses to verify its vape authenticity. I kind of was like hmm It DID have a QR code that brought you to a video about how to authenticate them. So I thought that’s what he meant. Definitely regretting that now. First vape in the batch lasted MAYBE 24 hours. They’re rated for 1500 puffs. The other Hyde I had bought from a different shop lasted me days. The first vape also burnt my throat instead of shutting off like they’re supposed to. My bottom lip also has tender spots on it now from the vape heating up that last time and leaving a small burn. Opened a second one to give it another chance and it did the same thing. So I decided to open the two that are different brands than Hyde and one didn’t even work and the other had corrosion at the bottom. I’ve been vaping for years and never had any of these problems.Look for the holograms on Hyde’s and a scratch off sticker. Now that I know I’ll never buy another one without it. They have an authentication code to make sure it’s not counterfeit.Overall the employees were great. But I drove an hour and a half to this store and spent plenty of money. To receive counterfeit vapes is just a slap in the face. I will be reporting them to Hyde since they have a counterfeit department and definitely finding a different shop. This kind of situation is the reason why good shops didn’t stand a chance in the states they’ve already been banned in.

Typical pipe & tobacco shop. Been going here for years now. Some nice local glass artists sell work here so its nice to stop in and browse their selection from time to time. They stock a nice selection of everything a daily smoker may need or want.

I wouldn’t recommend any disposables from there they have a metallic taste and are way more expensive than other smoke shops near by

Tl:dr; Definitely go here for functional and affordable glass. If youre looking for highend heady glass, this is not the place to go.Just a heads up, as of today 6/28/21, they continue to require masks in store.Id say the Emporium has the largest selection in Rutland County - especially if youre looking for regular glass pipes, tobacco, CBD, or vape stuff. The quality of their glass pipes are decent, better than their water pipe collection. They have a fairly extensive CBD display and a large section of their store dedicated to vapes. Their vape juice is a little pricey, but thats the cost you pay for the convenience of brick-and-mortar.Ive always had positive experiences with the staff being helpful, kind, and patient with drawn-out decisions.

I’ve been a customer here for years, and whenever I go in the people working are really nice and helpful. Recently I bought a new Vape Mod and within a week of purchase it started sparking, smoking and my batteries are now unusable and the mod itself has melted the terminals inside.You would think that having JUST purchased it they would consider doing a trade because I spent almost $100 on this alone and I don’t know how I would have broken or misused this product after having the habit for almost 5 years.I get that the store policy is ultimately decided by the owner or manager but I kind of feel really screwed out of $100. Very nonchalant “no returns or trades, store policy” and I don’t think I’ll ever be back. Now I have no way to smoke unless I buy a new mod and wait for what a month from the manufacturer? This left a nasty taste in my mouth, and I really can’t believe how they treated me. Be wary or just go to another sho

Today i arrived about 10 minutes before the shop opened. As i was waiting outside for the shop to open a employee came out of the store with 2 flags one was the American Flag and one was a open flag. The employee threw the American flag on the ground and leaned the open flag against the outside wall while he went out to the road then came back to the store pickedup the American Flag and plced it in the flag holder on the wall.Total disrespect for our American Flag

I agree with most of what other reviewers have posted. First of all I said hi to the employee and she didnt say hi back. Prices are twice or so of online shops. Especially the vape juice. The worst complaint is that they dont do returns even if the next day with receipt unopened product. All other online shops will stand behind their products. Why dont they? Will only go back in if I need batteries.

I go here for one thing, cigars. Thats it. Cigars, get it? Can they vape you, pipe you and whatever you? Is the Pope catholic? Anyway, it looks that way to me. Not my thing, but not judging. As for cigars, a pretty nice selection for a small town and an irregular smoker. The staff is head-shop friendly. They talk nice to an old dude and thats all I need.

I went into this place a few weeks ago and made a mistake of purchasing something from this store. I will never do it again. Prices are a lot higher than they are in Castleton and owner doesn’t stand behind his product. ( doesn’t take returns even on a faulty product returned next day) I also felt the staff didn’t know much about the products either.

Ive never encountered a bad experience at Emporium, everyone is professional and friendly. I have to drive about 45 mins to get there, and once I made it a few seconds before closing time. They let me in to quickly grab what I needed. Some stores will just turn you away. They carry a very wide range of products, and the prices are great too. Definitely worth the trip especially if youre more local than I. It seems like the state of VT wants to keep everyone smoking cigarettes, but for those of us who are vape obsessed, theres the Emporium!

I really like the people who work at The Emporium, they are very personable and knowledgeable about their product. They have a full line of tobacco, and fine cigars.. and I see that they now carry the Leaf Only Fronto & Shade Leaf tobacco wrappers, which is really cool.. that would make it the first store in the area to carry Whole Leaf Tobacco, by the leaf. Ive only seen this in NYC so far. Its impressive that they have it!

Decent prices, very helpful people

No replacements/returns, even if unused and broken/defective, not to mention over priced. Average product quality is low, the same items are available online, for a third of the price. I dont mean some off brands or similar products either. I mean the exact same products. Based on research from online shopping you can see the general selection of this shops inventory is all of the cheapest products available online. More than half of the staff members dont even smoke weed or vape, so youre left with a bunch of uneducated employees, selling you cheaply made garbage products for triple the price.

SUCH good customer service. I went in 10 minutes before close for an emergency vape replacement. The guy (sorry i didnt catch your name!) was the most helpful Ive ever experienced in a smoke shop and whats more, he was friendly and explained why Im having issues with my vape and how to use the new one.

Literally bought a new brand name bong yesterday that was defective because of the factory, went into exchange it for another one...was told to go to Home Depot to patch it up. I never even got to smoke out of it. The worst customer service. Even after wasting time to check it. Out the gate he could have said we don’t refunds or exchanges

Last two glass pcs bought here sucked as seriously! I dont smoke what others do but when you buy a bong, get it home and pick it up and the bottom separates from the rest of it or you buy a banger for 30 bucks and the moment you put a torch to it the damn thing cracks and all they can say is we have a no return policy on glass but we are having a 20% off sale so you can come buy another pc ummm no, I dont think so, I think Ill tell people to order on line at places that sell good quality products not this cheap crap from china.

Way over priced. Unfriendly staff that kind of reminds me of the character Daria. Small vaporizer section. Large glass pipe and other weed stuff. When I say over priced think 2x the price of anything online. E-juice has limited selection and 30ml is about the price of 60-100ml everywhere else. Avoid.Parking lot is usually empty and that should tell you something.
