I was looking for something that would fit 6 people comfortably and tow a 9000lb camper. Of course the ford expedition is the only way to go to check all of those boxes. Unfortunately, there just isnt much on the market and to get the extra 2000lbs of towing, the heavy duty tow package had to be added. So I went online to the ford website and completely customized my expedition. Then, ordered from Jacob Reddell at Cogswell motors. I was expecting it to take about 4 months and it only took 2! Jacob checked all of the incentives and rebates and made sure I got the best deal, even on my custom order.
The Service department is great! They serviced my truck and rotated my tires and gave me a list of things that will need fixing in the near future. Great Customer Service!

Steve Gist has always been a great help as we shopped around for vehicles and worked closely with us to get us into vehicles we like and will last. The rest of the staff is friendly and professional and always willing to make you feel comfortable. The facility since the remodel is absolutely gorgeous and makes you feel comfortable and all the natural light makes signing paperwork less of a strain on the eyes.
Always helpful. My wife thought the batteries were dead in her Chrysler Pacifica because it wouldnt start. Cogswell is not a Chrysler dealer but said they would check batteries, which turned out to be fine. They didnt charge anything for the time they had it in the shop. Fantastic service, which I already knew about because they have always done the service on my truck.
Took my car in to get a recall service and the lady at the first desk was incredibly unfriendly. I believe she was the same woman I spoke to on the phone that was a little rude as well. The service man I spoke with, Tommy, was very nice. One other worker was nice there but other than that, everyone kept to themselves and werent particularly friendly. I much prefer the customer service and friendliness at Phil Wright Autoplex.
I’d seriously think twice before using this place. If I could give it a 0 star, I would.We have 2014 Ford Escape. The shifter stopped working all of a sudden. Called this place on a Monday and asked if and when they could look at it. They said they could look at on Wednesday morning at 10:30. We said great, we’ll have it towed over. They said, we offer towing if you’d like. We great, here’s the address. They said, oh no… WE can’t do that. You have to call our separate “towing” number. OK, seems silly, but we took the number and called. Wednesday came and went and no word. Thursday after we called for an update. Many times we called and were put on hold for service but nobody would ever answer. Called at least 5 times before someone finally answered toMe he couldn’t answer my question about our cars status. He puts me on hold, returns later, and informs me they haven’t had a chance to look at it yet. Mind you we were told they had it down for a 10:30 AM Wednesday appointment and this was Thursday afternoon at 4:00. Friday afternoon rolls around and still no word. Called again. Can’t get through to anyone in service. Tried several times. Finally was allowed to leave a voice mail. Left voice mail and late Friday evening received a call to inform me that a bushing had gone bad, was placed on order, and expected to arrive Monday. Monday, received a voicemail from them saying your Escape is ready. But we don’t know how much the bill is. Called them back and the lady in Service says I can’t help you with that you have to talk to someone else. Get transferred to someone else who never comes to the phone and ended up having to leave a voicemail. Requested a call back in the voicemail to tell us how much the bill was. Several hours later and I still haven’t received a call. Just went and picked up the car. It’s been repaired, but the process was the most lengthy and unorganized mess I have ever seen. We will definitely consider other options in the future.
Was kept up to date on diagnosis and expected cost of repair. Repair was quick, vehicle was test driven to ensure proper function.
Came in for a standard oil change and tire rotation. The remodeled facility is a nice upgrade and easy to navigate. Everything was as usual except that it took ~2 hours where it usually takes ~1 hour to complete. That said - I arrived at ~1045 and left at ~1245 so it was during the lunch hour.
Faster than I expected. Service associate was courteous and precise, he kept me updated on the jobs progress. Thank you all!
Last week we were travelling cross country in our Ford class A motor home when we lost our dash air conditioning. After several Ford dealers refused to help us, I spoke to Lisa Cook in the service department who told me to stop in the next morning at 8:00 am and they would try to help us. They took us right away, and after three hours of work, were unable to find a replacement expansion valve for us which was faulty. The part is not a Ford part, but they tried to cross the numbers to locate one for us. Bottom line is after evacuating and refilling our system with the proper amount of refrigerant, our ac is working better even without the new expansion valve. We were able to continue on our trip for the next six weeks with a tolerable ac system. Our sincere thanks to Lisa, tech Justin, and all who participated in trying to assist us. Cogswell Motors is first class when it comes to customer service!

We test drove and bought a car in less than an hour, they did a final detail on it, and we picked up an hour later. No complaints, I would definitely recommend to a friend and will most likely would return for any future car buying needs.
We were headed on vacation when the turbo went out on the truck while pulling a travel trailer. It was Saturday so the service dept was closed.. We limped into the lot and Jacob let us leave our trailer on the lot and helped us get a rental back home. Service dept called first thing Monday morning, had it fixed by lunch, and was reasonably priced. Drove down to pick it up and Keith even let us leave our van on the lot so we could continue our vacation. Great people to do business with.

Traveling and had a problem with my truck. Called Cogswell and got an appointment for 2:15. Waited approximately 2hrs. Watched mechanic drive truck in and out the other side in less than 2 minutes. Said they couldnt find anything wrong.
They dont have some that speaks spanish and they took one and a half houre longer than what they said they were gonna take.

I recently purchased a vehicle off of there pre-owned lot. The whole experience from start to finish was excellent. Very helpful and super friendly staff. A couple of months later I started to have issues with the vehicle. My wife was beginning to panic while I was diagnosing the problem and figuring out how I was going to fix it and the costs and ect….. So I decided to call Cogswell and spoke with Doug and explained the situation. He spoke with his boss and called me back informing me they were sending a tow truck to get my rig and do I need a loaner! By the end of the day we were mobile again and a week later my vehicle was fixed and ready to go!! I highly recommend buying and doing business with them!!! They forever have my business. Friday June 4th,On our trip out west my F350 quit on I-40. Friday, at 2:45 pm we arrived at the dealership on a rollback wrecker. The service manager was super helpful! He diagnosed our problem ( broken fuel pickup tube in the fuel tank) found the replacement part, dropped the tank, fixed the problem and got us back on our way by 5:30. These guys are awesome, the service department pulled a couple extra guys late on Friday afternoon, worked 30 minutes after closing to help us out. Next time I buy a new truck, I hope I can drive back to Cogswell Motors (450 miles away) and do business with them again. Hats off to Tommy and his guys!!!Thanks Mark & Lisa

Called to buy a specific car that they had in stock. They pulled my credit information resulting in a hard inquiry then wouldn’t answer my calls the whole day because they were busy. They knew we lived 2 hours away and didn’t even bother calling us back knowing we wanted to purchase a car today. Receptionist told me 5 times she would have the sales manager call me back. That are terrible to deal with!!! Never considering again.

Bought new tires March 25 2021. Was suppose to get a $70 rebate. I found out yesterday salesman did not submit the sales for the rebate so now I will not receive it. Very disappointed in the service. I have never had to submit anything salesman has always done it. In fact I asked him about it and he said he would do it. Was not the regular salesman I use all the time.
Although I wasnt the one purchasing the new Mazda, I was totally blown away by everything this dealership did to make this the best vehicle purchase EVER! I stopped to see if they had or could get my tires as they were listed on the brand website that they were a dealer. However they couldnt get them. I decided to go elsewhere.
If the vehicle is supposed to have power mirrors, check to make sure both sides work. When driving the vehicle I purchased home I realized only the passenger side mirror worked. Confronted them about it politely and they will not replace it nor give any assistance on a new part. It’s $1,500 for one side... Yay.

Cogswell fixed my 2005 F-150 recently. They did a great job with the repairs. Lisa was a breeze to deal with! She communicated all repairs and the associated costs clearly and up front. Very good experience.
After being referred to ford from another shop and making apt for diagnostics, they told me nothing more than what I already knew when I took my car in and I still had to pay for it. They had a couple guesses if what it could be and an outrageous price but I had already replaced them parts with new ones from a different shop.

Went in for a transmission flush and fill on my daughters 2008 Lincoln. The process was explained well, the price was fair, the service was quick and they washed the car afterwards, because it is part of their Lincoln service...even for an old 2008!
Horrible. Drove out of our way to purchase a Platinum F-150 4x4 truck, cash. When we got there we were not directed to speak with our original sales associate, Emily. We were told to speak with Ed Schwartz. The dealership brought the truck around to the front. Surprisingly, the truck had significant body damage. This was never disclosed in the listing, photos or through the sales and negotiation process. The only apology we received was for the dealership being under remodel construction. Very disappointed. To sum the experience up... Shysters.

I guess they changed my oil, and rotated my tires on my 2019 F150 limited... they didnt do anything else I had asked for.. they told me they set my tire pressure at the recommended 35psi, when I went down the road they were at 43 psi (confirmed this with tire gage ) I had asked them to NOT fill my washer fluid reservoir because it leaks out of front camera and I havent had time to have my warranty fix it... THE TECH FILLED IT TO THE TOP, which obviously leaked all over my front bumper... I called and i texted them, and long story short, Ive been waiting 4 days and no one wants to get back to me... the girl at the counter had written down all my requests, but the tech clearly ignored them.... not to mention they wanted $51 for a service I pay $38 for in CT..🤦♂️ (less with coupons)
Service department. I told the young lady at the check-in counter that it could take several miles for the error code to activate. She responded “oh we can’t drive them that far for diagnosis”. ....so they’re a 2 mile or less repair shop! I left the vehicle with them with my fingers crossed. I told them that the fuel throttle sensor had been replaced recently but that didn’t fix the issue. Few days later they called said they replaced the fuel throttle sensor. $360ish. Asked them how far they drove it post repair ...”around town a little”. I noticed very little difference on the odometer. I drove it several miles the next day and the truck went back into error / limp mode. I called a different dealership and asked if they had any limitations on driving distance for diagnosing and they said absolutely not “we’ll drive it as far as it takes to get your vehicle repaired”. ...and they did. There was over 40 miles difference on the odometer. they found and repaired the actual problem. Cogswell doesn’t listen to you and doesn’t care what you tell them. They just want to put your vehicle on their diagnostic machine, replace whatever part it tells them to and get your money....regardless of whether or not they fixed your vehicle.
