Definitely worth getting off the interstate to visit! Stopped through on a road trip, always love to visit local quilt shops. Really enjoyed this shop, great selection of fabric, inspiring samples and friendly people. Everything that is good about a quilt shop can be found here :)

Love the Gathering Place!!! They held Tula Pinks new line for me. It came in Saturday & l bought it today, Monday.

They have the largest variety of quilting supplies, fabric, patterns and samples I have seen in one store. It was clean and bright. There were a couple of quilting machines available, as well as a large class and project area. This store is strictly for quilted projects, so you wont find suiting, silks, knits, specialty or upholstery fabrics here.

Since the last time we were here seven years ago, The Gathering Place seems more organized by type, theme, and colors of fabrics. They have a lot of patterns and quilts for inspiration throughout the store. Staff was friendly, and available if you had questions. Its one of the largest quilt stores I have seen in the northwest region.

An absolutely wonderful store. So much bigger than it looks - and charming! The staff is amazing, helpful and kind. The selection could not be bigger! I can see why people travel from all over the country to see this shop.

My top of the list favorite place to go to. Always, always so much to see and do. I love all to samples and examples they are continually making to inspire their customers. The staff are always so pleasant and welcoming. It must be that Idaho farm life. I’m glad Idaho has such a unique and fun place for those of us who love the feel of fabric in our hands. Super friendly people. They also have a huge selection of fabrics and quilting supplies. My wife is a prize winning, very accomplished quilter and teacher of quilting and she loves The Gathering Place. She has on occasion traveled hundreds of miles just to shop there.

What an amazing surprise to find this store! We just stumbled onto this wonderful quilt shop when we stopped at the park in the city center of rupert for lunch. The store is huge with many,any fabrics. It makes ones head spin. The service was attentive, friendly and helpful. Im sorry they are so far from Connecticut!

(Written by wife). Great shop and people. Huge store full of fabrics and notions for all your quilting needs. Lots of reproduction & modern prints. Baby prints and flannel. Large collection of Kaffe prints and solids. Seemed like I kept walking into section after section of fabric. Well worth the 5 mile drive off the freeway.

My mom and I try to go once a month and everyone is always friendly and the selection is amazing! The punch cards are an awesome plus too!!
