Had a bizarre ask and they didnt have what I was looking for, but suggest a couple other stores near by, and was able to find what I wanted at one of those suggestions. Great friendly staff.

So far so good.. love the costumer service even tho some of the ladies can be a little sassy they are still willing to help. The guy there it’s super friendly and helpful as well. My dog it’s in love with her bed

Bunch of dudes (employees) standing around staring at you makes a novice rather uncomfortable. I dont think I was wearing cool enough fly angler clothing and I feel they seemed this outsider was going to steal something. Will probably just drive the extra distance to other fly shop.

Expensive, but worth it. These guy always give the best advice without rushing you. They seem genuine and really care about your experience.

Hands down, best place I ever had the pleasure of spending hard earned saved money a bucket list kit at. At 47 i decided to up and try fly fishing; aa a generation X’r, I over thought over researched for months. This was the last store i came to and was a refreshing experience. I should have stoped here first. Never once felt like i was a nub among snobs (anyone spend any time in adventures themes facility know what i mean, kayakers). I felt so confident and informed from one visit and walked out with a full kit. The staff are top notch and will explain everything so your comfortable. Number one question is ask for pros and cons.

Have a lot of informations about fly fishing and take care of their customers.

I’ve been coming here past 3 years mostly small purchases - flies, line, random stuff. Finally decided to invest in some Orvis waders/boots. Couldn’t find the right fit for the boot so was trying many different size waders with boots to find the match. Sales guy got so annoyed by end !!! I did end up purchasing. I never been treated with such disrespect. These guys are such snobs !!! They think they are Gods of the fly fishing world !!! Pathetic !!! Never will I go there again !!! Please avoid this place ! typical cheesy sales reps !!!

I buy ALL my clothes and wardrobe here. Staff is very professional and go way out of their way to make you feel at home. Whether its buying clothes or talking fishing, Orvis is pure class. The staff are very good people here. Clothing is all very high quality. Favorite store to be at.

Orvis is a great company, Ive ordered a few things online from them but had never been into one of their stores until yesterday, and I wasnt disappointed. I walked in at 5:40 (they close at 6) just looking to pick up some new flies, I apologized for being that guy, and the employees, there were 3, all said something to the effect of hey dont worry about it, were here for you. The guy I assume was the manager, because he was directing the other two to their tasks, asked what I was shopping for, showed me to the great fly selection, I was shown their system for buying flies, every fly shop is a little different, and told to take a look around, and take my time. I selected a few flies, made a quick loop of the store, its pretty good sized for its location, thanked all the employees for their time and patience, made my purchase and was on my way, I was thanked for coming in and welcomed back any time. Overall a very positive shopping experience with top notch customer service that will definitely have me coming back any chance I get.

Bought my first fly fishing outfit from Orvis store in Royal Oak, Mi after many years of fishing with spinning outfit. The service was great. I spent more than an hour with Katie, the fishing manager in the store. She set me up with a great rod/reel outfit after spending the time to find out what I really wanted and needed. Looking forward to the 101 classes and doing more business with this store. Highly recommend after a good experience.

Top notch! High quality merchandise.The Service here is better then any other clothing store I have gone to. They carry anything you could want as far as Fly Fishing goes. You can also shop online and have it delivered to the store. I think that is how you can get free shipping when it comes to catalog items. They will welcome your dog here too. So if you dont feel like leaving puppy home. Take him along to shop with you.

Staff is always friendly and helpful both in fishing supplies and clothes. There are several fly fishing and fly tying classes throughout the near at the store as well as through fishing guides. My wife loves the fact that there are women staff that are knowledgeable and as enthusiastic as she is about the sport.

Great selection of Orvis brand fly fishing equipment and clothing. Staff is exceptional, especially Katie! They all are happy and eager to spend time with you answering questions and providing tips and advice.Its a pleasure being helped by someone whos passionate about fly fishing and their products.

Probably great if you are looking for a plaid skirt. But no good fly tying stuff and over priced fly gear. Stick with Schultz outfitters in ypsi.

I attended the free classes offered in the spring taught by Rich Merlino andthey were excellent! they opened my eyes to the world of fly fishing. ive been spincast fishing for 50 some years and never realized how much fun i was missing. took my new found talents up north to a friends cottage and caught every species of fish the lake had to offer ( except pike ) on a single fly!! my friends were so impressed, the went out and bought themselves a fly rod.!Thank you Rich and the crew at Orvis for educating and inspiring people to the world of fly fishing

She called a couple of times to chart me on the progress and doublechecked the details. Cat thank her enough. Following is the note I just wrote re the other partner in this success - Orvis in Westlake, Ohio. Here it is: Super customer service from Chris. In the beginning, I wanted the 7-piece Frequent Flyer rod and reel and sought one by phone at my Michigan store in Royal Oak - and I wanted it for a trip 3 days from NOW. They didnt have one. They looked around and found one in the Orvis Westlake Store. Orvis Westlakes Chris called me an hour later and set up the whole thing - including shipping it to me quickly at their expense. It arrived today and its beautiful. I am setting it up as I write this. Im sure I will like it on the river - it feels very clean and light and sensitive - and I cant say enough positive things about both the Westlake store and the Royal Oak store for making this happen for me.
