Took my touchscreen laptop here after the screen had cracked, and the keyboard had stopped working. Dean was honest and gave us a rundown on options. It’s been a year since my laptop had cracked so it’s nice to be able to use the touchscreen option again! He was very nice, and did an awesome job!!

Great service! My PC crashed and bought a refurbished one that came with keyboard and large Dell monitor, all for a great price. So far, all work great! Needed help with a new router and Dean was quick to resolve my issues. Really honest, knowledgeable and reasonably priced!

I would recommend this repair shop to any and everyone! I dropped my brand new laptop on my kitchen floor and as soon as I picked it up, I knew something was wrong. I tried talking to HP about the issue but they wanted me to send my laptop in for 2 months to work on it because it was under warranty. I did not have 2 months to wait so I called this store. At first, the owner (I forgot your name, I am so sorry!) said he didnt want to take my money because it would be wrong when I have warranty, which I TRULY appreciate, but I needed it done asap. As soon as we got there, we were greeted by mr. Clyde and my heart melted. I knew I was in a great place just by the atmosphere and how sweet Clyde was. Mr. Owner talked with me about my issue and even though I didnt understand a word, he made sure to still explain everything in detail. My laptop was done and fixed the next day! I highly recommend this store. My kids and I fell in love with CLYDE and are going to be stopping by occasionally to say hello when we are able! :)

Hello,I went to that store and it was my first time. I was asking the guy about my computer and I know that I was speaking v/well and obviously he could hear me. He proceeds to tell me to either take my face mask off or to talk louder. Honestly, I asked some questions and left after finding out that my repair was a lot more money than what I had originally intended. Honestly, it was NOT about the money. I have ALWAYS worn my face mask, NEVER have I ever been told to TAKE OFF my mask. I do NOT tell others to wear masks at all. Because of my experience, I will NOT step foot in this business ever again!🤷🏽‍♀️

I took my gaming PC (which I use for video editing) in because I was having random shut downs, which I suspected was due to over heating. They were able to find the issue and help resolve it! Im now back to exporting videos quickly! Highly recommended anyone who is having computer problems to take their system here!

Not being originally from the area, I felt I was at a disadvantage locating a reputable computer technician. After looking over reviews, I was happy to see specific details when responding to concerns. I also liked seeing issues were resolved.I took my laptop in to reload Windows on my computer. I had partitions for Ubuntu and Windows. I wanted to remove Ubuntu but I accidentally deleted the wrong partition!! Oops!!! I dropped off my laptop for repair and received a call about 2 hours later that it was fixed!!! Wow!! I was so impressed!!I loved the whole experience. I would highly recommend this repair shop if you are looking to get your electronics fixed. Im a college athlete and needed my laptop fixed. I was scared of how much the cost would be but the owner of the shop made me feel comfortable and worked with me. His prices are very fair and affordable to MANY other repair shops I had visited before going here. His dog was so welcoming and very welled trained.He informed me on a lot about my laptop and was very helpful. After getting my laptop back I was so impressed how much faster it was moving. Not to mentioned he fixed it in under 24 hours. I will definitively be back in the future and send many people.

The owner Dean does an incredible job! He is 100% honest, is reasonably priced and always friendly and forthright. I have had 2 iphones repaired a MAC and a PC (but Dean said was not worth the money.) This is the kind of shop that is hard to find today. And BTW- his dog is cool and well behaved.

One of my hard drives crashed and took the whole system with it. I had a computer fixed here years ago and its still running great. He fixed this second one and it didnt break the bank.

This place is awesome! The owner is super friendly, knowledgeable and straight forward. This is the A1 in budget computer repair and component installation. Super good prices and fast service! I dropped off my system for a full system reboot on the hard drive and reload of windows 10 plus extra apps he personally uses that are awesome and a installation of a liquid cooling system at about 4 pm. The shop closed at 6 pm I had told him this was myively hood if theres was anyway he could finish today that would be awesome and he ended up staying till about 930 at night and finished and called me to come pick it up and i was astounded. This the best type of service Ive had in a long while and was very refreshing to have in my life. I would 100% recommend this place to any in need of something computer related and other services. On top of all of that he through in a detailed cleaning on the whole unit and installed some apps to help maintain it as well as a remote access in case i ever needed more help in the future! This isnt even including when I first called him he soent about 39 minutes on the phone with me to fully understand the situation as well offered some trouble shooting techniques to try and fix it! He is super nice and gave me so many tips for the future of preventing me from having that same problem as well as others. I am truly grateful for the service he provided and it reminded that there are still people out there that love what they do and its not all about the money! So please I implore you to seek him if you have any needs or questions and he will walk you through it as well run a diagnostics on your unit!

It does not work, it charges me 50 dollars for the diagnosis and it does nothing, it makes the laptop worse and it does nothing but that bad service!

I had one of those dreaded blue screens on my computer recently and even though I am fairly computer savvy, my numerous attempts to fix the problem proved fruitless Rowlett Computer was just a short drive from my house so with my ailing computer in tow, off I went!. I brought my Iphone into Rowlett Computer Services, almost beyond repair, on Christmas Eve...It was not turning on, not charging, I had lost audio, and lost my camera. Dean was able to troubleshoot my issues and fix my phone, as well as have it promptly back to me. Two months later my phone is still working, just as it did the day it was fixed. Rowlett Computer and Phone Services offers honest and knowledgeable service and I will definitely be a return customer the next time I have a phone issue.

Called to check about a USB 3.0 cable for an old external hard drive and the associate said he should have it. Showed up to the store and he did not have it. Would have been better not to go all the way there for nothing. He was still friendly and apologetic about it.

Dean is very knowledgeable with computers and extremely kind. I needed repairs done to my HP 360 because it would no longer flip into tablet mode and the screen was protruding from the casing. He was able to do it quickly and for a very fair price. Definitely recommend!

I had a wonderful experience. I needed my screen repaired on my iPhone. Not only did he fix it in a timely matter and for a reasonable amount, he showed me exactly what was wrong and let me watch him repair it. He let me see the parts that he was repairing and let me see that they were authentic Apple products. I had broken the screen on my phone and had it repaired by a different shop. After the worst time of getting it fixed I finally brought it to Dean. He showed me how the last repair man had used secondhand products and had left parts out of the phone that should’ve been included. After Dean was finished repairing my phone. I have not had one single problem with it. I well take my phone and my family phines to Dean every time .

Walked in expecting having to pay an arm and a leg to get something simple done, but that wasnt the case. The gentlemen was very helpful and knowledgeable! I gave him my situation and he told me what to get. When I got back, I was thinking I was going to have to drop off my laptop, nope. He replaced my hard drive, installed the OS, AND even fixed the issue with my laptops touch screen. All in about 20 minutes! The folks at geek squad were going to charge me an outrage price and take two to seven days! If you want excellent quality work done in a timely manner, by a guy who is down to earth and isnt just out to get your money, this is the place to go. Any issues with mine or my wifes computer later on down the road, well be using his services.

The older gentleman was extremely rude to me and cut me off multiple times while just asking a question. It was like I was bothering him for coming In his shop. I wanted to get an iPhone screen replaced and he treated me like I stole the phone or something. Also his 80 pound pitbull kept jumping on me and he did nothing to stop it. Worst experience I have ever had at a local business. I live right around the corner from this shop but will never be back. I ended up just having to ask for my phone back and walking out.

Rude customer service and mean behavior. Just tried to discuss and get thorough explanation about my systems issues and the man began to act rudely and saying I have systems under repair that are making me gain money, your questions arent . Probably the man believes that explaining to customers why they are being charged that $ amount for what is a waste of time. Because of this way of dealing with customers I decided that I would rather buy a new computer system than repairing the old system at this workshop. I am paying the money and I deserve a breakdown and explanation for the service changes. I do ask for charity.

I had an issue with my brand new laptop. I called RCPR after having no sucess with Microsoft tech support. Dean understood what the problem was right away, even explained it to me and how he was going to fix it. I recieved my laptop back 24 hours later. Wow its running super fast and the issues are gone. What can I say about this place? I was installing a new CPU into my computer and my pins were bent. I took it up to this shop in hopes they could be straightened out. What ensued was some of the most down to earth customer service Ive received. After using Rowlett Computer Repair, I feel compelled to write a review for the company. I brought in a laptop that had been melted by a 2 year old. I figured it was all but lost, but it was not. The owner ordered the parts necessary to replace the melted parts and replaced them in a timely manner. I was lucky he was able to save the battery that was part of the melting mishap. In addition to the replacement of parts, he did a virus clean up and worked on the operating system, which was definitely needed since my husband does so much shopping on line and playing poker without any virus software. He also put a set of tools on his computer to avoid as many virus issues in the future. I could not be happier with their service. In addition to the laptop I had fixed, I have brought in tablets to repair jacks and as always they were fixed and ready to use quickly. I took my computer in for repair and told them I dont know anything about computers and didnt really know what was wrong with it. I had to pay in advance for repairs. They fried my computer and would not get any of my money back and found out that the only thing that was wrong with my computer was my monitor was out. My wife and I plugged her computer to my monitor and that is how I found out nothing was wrong with the computer. I ended up out of pocket $300.00 dollars our of pocket for them to blow up my computer and another $1,000.00 to buy a new computer. That I bought at best buy. I will never recommend them to anyone and would never take anything back to them in the future. I hope for ripping me off I hope they go out of business.

Best place to have your computer looked at, assessed and repaired! I brought in my big computer rig I was building and Dean (and Clyde) helped me figure out all my issues. It was an enjoyable place to get help on something that had been frustrating me for weeks. He even recommended parts in the future to max my machine out to the fullest!My rig is a x399 Taichi (new motherboard), 2950x Threadripper, with a RTX 2080 Trio GPU. Question: Will you be able to Upgrade my Late 2008 MacBook Pro Aluminum Unibody from {2X2} to {4X4} memory. I saw a video on youtube that the Apple Machine Can be bumped to 8 gigs of ram. I already bought the 8 gig set, So how much would it be?

My system was running slow, had lots of pop ups, and viruses. Got it back the next day and it runs faster than the day I bought it. Thank you!!!
