I remember going in this store several years ago for the first time and without being told hello, or welcome, or have you ever been here before, myself and my friends were told to leave because the store was closing. Never been back to even see what products they have and whether it is somewhere I should include in my rounds.
Came here yesterday to play some Magic for the first time in 6 months. I had so much fun. The store is fantastic and Drew greeted me and showed me around as soon as I came. Great people that were very friendly. Some high level play which I dont mind at all. Cant wait to be back
A once great store.Ive been a regular customer of this establishment since its first week of business. I use to run regularly scheduled D&D games for kids, provided extensive word of mouth advertising, and even continued to patron the shop after the questionable business practices of the current ownership in their treatment of the previous co-owner/manager.Ive begun regularly taking my children and their friends to the game shop on Friday afternoons from 4:30-6:30. The manager told us we would have to give up our table if they got busy due to their scheduled Magic the Gathering event. I told him this wouldnt be an issue and we would move if space was needed. Over the past month, weve never been asked to move and there have been tables open when we depart at 6:30. Our group is well behaved and purchases plenty of snacks and soda while we play. When we arrived this past week at 4:45, we were told by Drew, that Well need to look at a different day for you to play D&D and that we couldnt play on Fridays anymore. Mind you, there was only one table occupied with several tables covered in boxes.Needless to say, I wont be patronizing this once great game shop.
Loved it! Great atmosphere.. Awesome knowledgeable folks that were so friendly and fun!
Great store. Great staff. Fun place to play board games, D&D, and Magic. Lots of food options to enjoy while we play.
This place is always amazing. I come here every other weekend for a D&D session, and I couldnt be happier. Staff is friendly, helpful, and pleasant. Facilities are clean. Food is available, and tasty! The menu has been expanding, and this place just keeps getting better and better!!
Great place to play games with your friends! Everyone there is so nice and so helpful! The only slight downside is that I wish there some more healthy options as far as food goes. But the environment and the people are incredible and I highly recommend you check this place out if youre into tabletop gaming.
On 8/7/2020 there was an issue and because there was a mistake done on the businesses part and I’m trying to understand what my 500 dollars is actually buying because it isn’t what is stated on my receipt... that gives them the right to allow a male manager to intimidate me into returning all my money. I ended up returning it because I was completely done with the situation and being yelled at, so I guess they got what they wanted but Andrew Kaplan at heroic gaming thinks this is the way to deal with women. And he tells me he doesn’t care if I leave a one star review on Facebook. Please share and get the word out. Don’t support local business like this. The kicker is it’s run by a woman and apparently not phased by the treatment of women in her establishment. I will not bring my daughters here to learn to be gamers and introduced to games.
Absolutely adore the staff and some really great gaming things. Really enjoy the events and community. Their warm sandwiches and things are very tasty! Lots of snack options.
Great people and great times. I highly recommend Monday board game nights!!!
I went in to Heroic Gaming seeking advice on a board game to get for my sister as a present. Kim took the time to show me the games she likes and explained the basics of each games play. I had a lot of questions and she was extremely helpful with all of them. Im very happy that I stopped by, I did purchase a The Betrayal at House on the Hill for my sisters present and Im positive shell love it. Great experience, great place, and great staff. Highly recommended!!*Edit: She loves the game, had played it twice as a freshmen in college and has wanted to play it again since. Kims recommendation was spot-on!!
Nice and friendly atmosphere, perfect for gaming of any kind,
I came to Heroic Gaming as a back-up plan when my original gaming cafe started to hate me (I dont know what happened, to be honest, everything was fine until about 3 weeks ago). Heroic Gaming, however, did NOT save the day... While they didnt try and charge me for BASIC LANDS, I did find the place to be generally poorly stocked. The FNA Draft called for sleeved cards and there was actually only one single, basic 100-card sleeve box available. Moreover, the only draft was a $40.00 limited Double Masters and I just dont have the money for that (what has happened to regular FNM?) I cant help but feel that men in gaming are actively trying to push women out, despite the obvious advantages of a new market opening up. The one and only bathroom is a disgrace: the sign on it is an unofficial, official looking sign that says ALL GENDERS, featuring a woman with half a dress. How is this legal in the State of Georgia and why would you try to make female-constituents of Magic the Gathering, Yugioh, the gaming community, etc. be forced to adopt an ideology on gender that is quite honestly *still up for debate*? Using the restroom does not have to be a political statement.TLDR; Why do you all hate women so much?
The staff here is top notch and very willing to do special orders and preorders
Im kind of a newbie to board gaming. Took my 9yo in and Miguel & Becca were awesome explaining games to us and playing a few. Very chill and patient. Hope to come back soon.
A great little game shop. Weve attended a game night that was fun, and the local owners are great people. Keep up the good work! :)
I gave it one star because I couldnt give it zero.Drove by this place on my way home. Googled and saw Friday Night Magic. I played back in the mid 90s when the game came out and wanted to start playing again.I went in during the week to ask some questions and price the cards. Took forever for someone to acknowledge me. (Place was near empty) I asked a few questions and the employee told me that he was busy and I could buy something or leave. So, I left. Like most gaming places in the area, unless youre a regular, they dont want to be bothered.Avoid this place at all costs
Extremely nice place, always has a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Very nice and knowledgeable staff. Overall a 10/10
Friendly, comfy space with abundant gaming options! Game rentals and dnd games throughout the week. Gamer fuel available in the form of snacks, sandwiches, and drinks.
Exactly what we needed! a game store that, while family-friendly, allows for adult gamers to enjoy their table-top experiences, as well. You can rent table space and a game and try something out before buying - which is a wonderful change to the buy to try ideal that some other stores have. i am glad to have this in my area - i will continue to do business here!
Great shop, great owner, I’m excited to see them do well.
Cool atmosphere with a wide selection of games, cards and RPGs
Accommodated me nicely. Many thanks.
Fun place great deals and good employees
I can only comment on their Citadel Paints prices as I did not see prices on many items. So after selecting a number of citadel paints without price tags I went to the register expecting Games Workshop pricing which is common to find at many local game shops. Boy was I surprised. 40% increase in price over any of their competitors and the Games Workshop catalog. From an expected $4.25 to $5.99 for a non-metallic layer paint. The place was clean and the staff friendly, but price gouging is a big stop for me.
A store employee (Josh) just returned a twelve hundred dollar commander deck that I accidentally left there last week. He knew what it was valued at and that he could have parted it out online and that he would never have been caught. Theres no better test of character than when someone does the right thing when they know they can benefit and get away with doing the wrong. But that aside, its still a 5 star store. Great prices, great selection of games to try out, great food. What more can you want in a game shop?Just fyi: they keep the language PG there and expect their guests to also. I think it really improves the atmosphere and I hope they keep it that way.
I recently participated in D&D event at Heroic Gaming. I was greeted at the door, pointed cordially to the coordinator, and I was matched up with like minded people. I had a fun time. The staff was very polite and accommodating. I look forward to attending more events at Heroic Gaming!
Play here every other week. Really great staff, and great selection of minis.
A new game store designed for all ages yet catering very heavily toward adults. You can go into the store and look through about 100 different games on the walls. The store keeps an open copy that you can rent for $5 and give it a try. The difficulty levels range from games you can pick up in two minutes to ones that require hours of expertise and play. Corey and Kim Weese are the store owners. VERY personable and welcoming.
All the staff is extremely nice the place has nice lighting and just a generally good feeling
Have been going here for D&D and other games for nearly a year with my daughter and we both love it. Staff is friendly and helpful, they keep things family friendly! Made lots of friends playing here.
