Very rude employees and service. Of all the stores in Roswell, NM they are the only ones that force people to wear a mask. The girl at the register was very rude. The fact that we can no come in to shop without a make even being vaccinated has lost our business. I can not medically wear one so to force me to is bad for my health.

Pathetic selection of sports supplies for kids. We couldn’t find anything we needed. In the short time I was in the store 5 customers came in and immediately walked back out because they weren’t allowed in without masks, but not one of them was offered a mask. If you’re going to enforce a mask policy then have a box at the front to offer customers (duh). One staff member decided to play mask police while were in the store, walking around and ordering customers to adjust the way they had their mask on. Obviously she was on some kind of an ego trip. Ridiculous. We won’t be going back ever and I definitely wouldn’t recommend this store to anyone.

First time at big 5. They didnt had the case i was looking for but I got a great deal on a rechargeable headlamp.

People that work there don’t know anything about their products or where they are located in the store. Also, they never ask if they can help you with anything. They just stand around or ignore you while they’re stocking other items. Also, they are one of the very few stores forcing customers to wear masks.

Went in to look at a variety of things....firearms.... The firearms guy was really helpful and very friendly..... Went to look in shoes and of course they got the typical size but nothing about 10.... The ladies in front were just standing there.... Didnt even ask if there was anything they could do....In a world where I can go online and get what I want.... You would think the helpers would wait to be more friendly

The staff working there are not very polite and rude when asking questions about products or where the items you need are. You need a mask when you go in and they do not supply them.

It has most of the things that you need. Overall a bit pricey, but that is due to selling brand name equipment.

It was ok I went there for bowling supplies and they did not have anything for bowling. So I guess bowling isnt considered a sport. 🙄

The girls at the register were very nice and helpful. I was looking for arm protectors and they had exactly what I was looking for. Ended up buying a nice pair of hiking boots at a fraction of the regular retail price.My wife and I buy most all of our hiking shoes from Big 5. Great store with lots to look at.

Dont go in this place!! It looks like a Big 5 but as soon as you enter the doors you are sucked into an alien dimension where time and space collide entirely by presenting what seem like very friendly and knowledgeable staff only to find out at checkout that the Roswell aliens have hijacked the store trans-dimensionally and you are now on THEIR planet! Enter ONLY if you really need some top notch sporting gear.

You have to wear a mask, no biggie, just thankful places are opening up, I got what I needed and left a happy camper!

Well I do love this store but there is not to many things that fit me here... Im not an extremely big fellow but my foot is big and wide not something that our location carries a whole lot of... Also lots of nice clothes but another case in which I am just a little bit too big for all of them... If these two things were to be changed I would definitely change my rating to 5 stars.

I use to be a regular customer at big 5in roswell nm . However in my last visit to the store i was informed i had to wear a mask to enter. And to my reply the mask is a sugestion not a requirment by law. Mind you i spend from 50 to 700 dollars every time i enter the place the cashier was rude and i informed him amd the manager i would not be back. I will do.busness elswhere from now on . .a real shame because i liked the store and its products.

No help. Dressings rooms were not available. (I didnt buy some stuff because of this) The racks were so close together it was impossible to walk between them without knocking something down.

Always been a great place fore sporting goods theyre prices are reasonable.

They may not have exactly what you need every time but the staff is quick to help and will suggest other places if necessary.

Was good friendly service, but since this covid-19 the store clerk constantly harassed me, and rude! She made feel like Im a idiot and a thief. I have seizures but she understand that wearing a mask increase my chances of having an episode. Never again in Big 5 unless that bimbo clerk becomes educated on who can and cannot wear a mask because of medical conditions.

Kind of expensive, but worth the money. Quite a variety of items to choose from. Staff extremely helpful.

If you are looking for a specialty item, like football cleats, etc., this is the store to go to. It is not as big as it would be in a larger city, so to make up for it, they have packed a lot of different stuff into a small location - good variety if you can make it through the isles.
