Second Glance is legit an amazing store. They are family owned and take care of their staff and customers. They are transparent and follow all small business related guidelines. Tom & Melissa are fair too. I have been consigning for 10 years with them. They know their business and know what sells. They have not taken some of my items in the past, so what? Anytime you need help or have a question please ask. Leaving mean comments is not pro-active. If they dont feel your items will sell they may not take them! So please discuss it with them first! Its a great place to sell and shop! They also donate and support many local charities! Give the glance a chance! Shop small and support small businesses!!!

Its sad but off of the negative reviews and mainly the responses from the owner alone I will not be shopping here! The owners can not take criticism from the paying patron, and respond with rude snide comments back like sorry we are out of your budget. As a local business owner you would think they would be humble and kind to the public who comes to spend their money with them. Guess not. To bad you lost a customer before they even shopped with you. Fix up the attitude its bad for business.

I always find something good at this store. It’s small but packed full of nice used or brand new consignment items.

Lots of goodies! For those that are worried, YES they do wear masks when they are in the store where the customers are and they wear them CORRECTLY! Nice professional staff and clean stores!

I’d give this store less than one Star if I was able to on this website. I have been to the Second Glance on 9 mile a handful of times. The staff has always been rude and unfriendly. They do not greet you or ask if they can assist with any of your bins. They should install automatic doors with the money they earn from second hand selling. My stuff is always washed, some with the tags still on the items and they are frequently turned away by the employees. I’m not sure what they are looking for because what I see in the store is in worse condition than what I am trying to sell to them to help local business. So, I thought maybe my stuff that was higher end or with tags may sell at another location, which I tried to go into today but turned me away because I have an account at their location on 9 mile. I think this is just silly.Also, please explain why everything needs to be in plastic bins?? I was using brand new U Haul boxes, that I went to purchase particularly for the opportunity to sell my items and it was unacceptable.Bottom line, I have given your store many chances but today was THE last time I try to help your local business.

If I could do 0 or negative I would. Took two totes with neatly folded clothes. Girls and womens in yesterday. They had 45 minute wait before they could do them. Went back in over an hour later still werent looked at. Clerk was rude and took each item out of tote then threw them back in a pile. Very picky about what they took. (OURS had no tears, stains or soil and some even had new tags). she took only a 25 items out including 3 brand new fancy girls dresses with tags (original cost $50 each) bought for evening wear on a cruise. They offered me $25.00 for everything. I took everything back. I would never go back in there again or recommend anyone take items there. Prices on items for sale are high for a resale shop for what they pay for it.. THEY WANT EVERYTHING CLEAN AND FOLDED BUT DONT RESPECT ITEMS THEY DONT WANT.. VERY MAD ABOUT THE WAY WE WERE TREATED AND OUR CLOTHING.

Second Glance is great! Always a quick and fair process to consign my items. The staff has always been very friendly and professional! Love having the extra money to travel!

Really wanted to have this be my new favorite store. Thought it was cute when I stopped in to shop last week. The staff was really warm and professional, so I decided to freshly launder, iron and press some like new toddler clothes that I had. Got to the store when it opened, had to wait more than 15 minutes to be seen. In the meantime the staff continued to just walk around chatting like I wasnt there, including a real turn off conversation about how they should sell the bulk packaged cookies from the staff lounge because no one is eating them. To which the manager chimed in How old are they anyway? An employee chimed in Like a month. Then they decided to sell them for 50 cents each. After all that, and all the organizing of the items, the other employee has started going through my bin of clothes without letting me know - including accidentally separating some of the matching pieces from sets. She is clearly annoyed when I walk over there. And then for dress kids clothes that were worn once, worn once sweaters, Hummel and Columbia winter overalls - offers me $14. Not even worth the time or the energy of driving there or prepping it. I have easily made that much off a sale on like new dress clothes on Facebook marketplace. If youre looking to offload kids clothes, I would strongly encourage you to wait for the mom-2-mom sale Just Between Friends or another local one.

Its a very nice second hand store and they also have things that are new. I got a Bragg new pair of stretchers that were normally about 60-75 any where else and i paid 18 i think he got a nice watch with original tag and receipt like 300 bucks for 75. Very nice helpful people in there. I absolutely love the. I store theres something for everyone in th there. I could be dangerous in there with a pocket full of money.

Love this resale shop! A lot of negative comments.. 👎😕everyone is entitled to there own opinion. Majority of the things they sell are brand new! No need to be rude if something doesnt fit your budget just look else where. Overall it is a very clean and up to date resale shop well organized compared to a lot of other shops I have been too. Keep up good work I enjoy shopping there!

The staff they have working there were so helpful. I love the selection they have available in not only the clothes, but all items. My husband and I have been going up there almost every week.

Came in today with a bunch of kids stuff, and when I got my offer it was low, didnt understand why it was that low when most stuff was brand new with tags and nothing wrong with the items. The other day when I came in it was great and I got a really good offer. Well today not so good, so went to the other store and they refused to look at my other stuff that I had. Really rude of her. Been going to you guys selling&buying for 7 years now. You finally lost me as a customer. Its really sad.

I bought this cool mist humidifier there they had a few of them it was $6 brought it home and it is dirty as hell on the inside and full of mold the store itself everything is overpriced extremely high where youre better off buying brand new then going here do not shop here its a waste of money and your time

So firstly in order for them to purchase dropped off baby clothes they have to be in a storage tub, this is not mentioned on their website. The selection of goods is not that good. Just in clothing alone you find just as good quality and thrice the selection at Salvation Army. Every thing here is just overpriced you could go to a normal retail store and pick up the same item, for the same price and its brand new. I am sorry to say that I dont have any really good to say about this place other than it is clean besides that I dont have much else to say.

I always like that I can go in and sell my daughters old items to the store... Wish more ppl would donate or sell to help rotate items.. But overall the ladies try to help you locate things, will call you when requested items arrive in store and try to keep the store neat and clean. I wish the location hadnt moved but I still travel to shop here. Thanks guys

So I went today and I feel that the young lady at the counter was a little rude. All my infant clothes were washed but she said they werent. She said they had stains on them. As I began to walk through the store, it was stained, dingy looking infant clothes. It was items that still had tags on them and she didnt take. I dont understand how this works.

I cant speak more highly of this awesome staff and better store. Theres literally something for everyone at this place and great deals to be had.

Wack, false advertisement. Had to wait 20 minutes. You dont get much of anything for bringing in your kids clothes. They claim they dont want stains in the clothes, said my clothes werent washed when I washed them the night before. However I saw raggedy obviously 2nd handed shoes on their shelves that were dirty. Nothing in there that I would buy. Sounded like every excuse not to give me anything for the clothes that were clearly in good condition some of which hadnt even been worn. Id never go back nor buy anything from here.

Horrible. Took an entire basket full of brand new clothes in for sale and they offered me $8. I would rather give clothes away to a child in need. What a rip off!!

Great items but terrible prices, you buy stuff second hand to get a great deal not to pay a dollar less than the brand new version. We just moved to Michigan and left most of our kitchen items behind so I had done a lot of research on new products, went to this store and almost everything was within 1-2 dollars of the newer unused version.

Nice small resale shop.They have items from baby items to household item--everything used.The employees seem friendly, but dont greet you or check to see if you need help.I like that you can get a fair deal on some items but most dont seem worth it.I mainly come for the used baby clothes (those seem like the best deal to me).You might find something to catch your eye, but when you do, the price doesnt seem worth it for an used item thats a few bucks cheaper than the original retail price.I bought nursing pads twice from here one pack said pack of 40 with the retail sticker on it stating $3.47; Second glance marked it down to 3.00 dollars but I still bought it becuase I thought it was a great deal, but once I got home amd counted them there were only 20 pads in the box.This had happen to me twice I think they should count the items inside the box and mark the correct number on the boxes, when they want to resale used boxed product.I have seen alot of thing there that are just a few bucks cheaper from getting it new.They were selling a used infant swing with a very damage box for 60 dollars when you can buy it new for 67 from Amazon.

Staff doesn’t even attempt to help you unless you practically yell, “excuse me!” I went in on a Thursday not knowing that they didn’t buy that day. An employee seen me walk in with a laundry basket. I set it on the counter and stood there for at least 5 minutes before I had to ask for assistance. At that point she lets me know that they don’t buy on Thursday’s. Just not sure why she would watch me walk in with my stuff and not inform me at that moment?!?

I wouldnt even say they deserve that! Bought something got it home pulled it outta the box broken and they refused to give my money back!!

Great place to buy things people no longer want.

Prices are horrible. Selection is blah. Quality. Well, clothing is okay, everythibg else is storage wars type garbage. But this is just my personal opinion. Who knows, you may be more lucky and find a treasure. I know its a hogh rent unit so they have to charge a bit more but cmon. Some things are just completely out of whack.

Very snooby, went In with 3 boxes and holds us it was a 30 min wait. 5 mins in we heard the worker say to another I dont even want to bother with any of this at 10 mins we walked by and were told we are gonna pass on any of it NOTHING was moved or touched.

Some of the staff was rude and snotty. We tried to bring in new and freshly washed items to sell. The lady said the items looked dirty and she was not interested in buying them, then offered to take them off our hands for store credit. Shady!
