Great prices on exercise equipment, friendly and helpful staff.
This store was fantastic as far as customer service and helping me purchase a new treadmill. Josh answered all my questions and I purchased over the phone from him a Matrix treadmill. It was everything he said it was. I could not have been more impressed with his kindness and attentiveness in regards to my situation. Best experience ever.
After 11 months, 4-6 written queries, 15-30 phone calls, Greg finally arrived and repaired the non-responding touch screen and audible static in our Matrix treadmill. Greg was a terrific maintenance guy! Also, Matt and Vernon who sit at the desk in Roseville were truly excellent representatives! But between these excellent folks is a chasm of under-supported, under-staffed customer service people and broken/unattended electronic communication inboxes (voice and data). While my Matrix treadmill is a solid mechanical piece of equipment, I regret my purchase from the Johnson Fitness network.
I was in need of supplies to maintain an indoor stationary cycle that I had purchased elsewhere. Joshawa was extremely helpful in making sure I had what I needed, giving me a terrific deal since we werent exactly sure what would work and what wouldnt. I will be back for any in-home fitness needs, as this customer service was impeccable!
Sorry for the novel Im about to write, but Id recommend reading it before shopping here.My fiancé and I bought a treadmill from this location in late September 2020. The sales rep was very nice and knowledgeable. We were very excited for our new treadmill, and understood that since this was during the pandemic things may be very delayed - we were perfectly ok with that. We also wanted to support a locally owned business during these times. We were told the treadmill would be delivered between November 5th and 10th. When we got a week past that date we started calling - just for status updates so we could know when to expect it. We were able to get an answer once, saying it was in stock, with a 3rd party shipping company, so it was out of Johnsons hands now (first red flag).About a week after that with 0 communication, we tried calling Johnson again - no answer, so I left a clear, calm voicemail explaining we only wanted to check on it, and get an updated status. Again, we understood if things were very delayed due to covid - just wanted a status. We continued to call over 10 times during business hours over the next few weeks - always leaving a clear/calm voicemail specifically asking them to call back just with an update, or even just a response that they got our message. We never once got a person on the phone OR a call back. This got very frustrating to the point where I called three times in a row instead of leaving voicemails. They eventually just ignored my call and sent me direct to voicemail rather than answering my call.Eventually, the treadmill was delivered (2 months after they said it would be) by the 3rd party delivery service. The delivery service is the second major part of the problem. They came into our house without masks (not the worst thing, I could avoid them, but still unprofessional), scratched the hell out of our newly done floors (were redoing them now), and most importantly they did not assemble to treadmill correctly. They fully left out a key component (we had to reach out to the manufacturer to send a replacement so we can attempt to install it ourselves). Pieces of the treadmill are not put together flush (we will likely have to re-assemble those ourselves as well), and the entire unit wobbles violently whenever we adjust the incline (yes, it is securely on perfectly level flooring).Apparently Johnson is ok with selling equipment, forgetting about the customer, ignoring any simple requests, dumping the product off to a subpar shipping company that no one can get a hold of and doesnt know how to properly assemble the item, all while not giving one ounce of support to the people who paid a large amount of money to them.I absolutely would not recommend going through this Johnson Fitness. There are numerous better options to get fitness equipment from.UPDATE - its now Mid-March 2021, and we still have not been able to get any responses from this Johnson location. We eventually went to the Edina location to talk to someone from a different branch. She was very helpful, and said shed reach out to that location directly... to no ones surprise they never responded. Its very rare that a situation will be so poor that I will end up writing a review about it. This couldnt have been handled worse if they tried. Neither of us have ever experienced such poor customer service.
On January 6th, 2021. I went to Roseville store looking for a brand new treadmill, I then paid $800 in cash plus another $300 in credit card. The delivery was scheduled for January 18th, 2021. They then never contacted me for the delivery. After waiting, I called them and talked to a lady named Elizabeth about the treadmill. She told me they dont have a brand new treadmill but have a used treadmill so I declined the used treadmill. So I got refunded the 300 dollars in credit card but not the 800. After waiting a whole month, I got the check of 800 dollars so I went to the bank to deposit the check, and it get declined! So I tried to talk to someone in charge, And after this experience. This company and store dont even deserve 1 star, I recommend 0 stars. I dont understand how they do business like that. There are nobody in charge to speak with.
I have been interested in purchasing a rowing machine for about a year now.Matt was a great guy helping decide the best one for my needs. Very efficient and helpful. Was quick and easy. I highly recommend them.
We bought a treadmill recently and were impressed with their initial response time, information, and quick delivery. They unfortunately didn’t sell mats large enough for our machine which is 38 inches wide so we’re ordering that from the manufacturer. It doesn’t sound like a big deal but moving this 300lb machine again will be a headache and it could be 2-3 weeks before it’s here. Because the rest of the transaction had been smooth, I expected they’d be more helpful especially on something the manufacturer recommends.
Decided to setup a home gym and made sense to shop locally. Owner was nice and recommended a list of products. Told me they would be ready in a couple weeks. A week went by and I called to touch base. Was told it was possibly coming in the next two weeks. Fine, I get it. Over the next three weeks, I would receive a couple pieces (two which weren’t mine and they called asking for them back) but none of the actual weights so I couldn’t use any of the equipment. After four weeks, they said it would be 4-6 weeks for delivery. Well, today marks the six week mark and still nothing. And no call with an update either, I had to call THEM and ask. Now being told it will be 6-8 weeks...Why did I buy local? I could have gotten this experience buying online and waiting for delivery and wouldn’t have paid the middle man markup.Edit - 8/6/20: Today marks the 20th week (5 months) and still no delivery. I called and got into an argument with the manager who said the only part of the order I could cancel and return were the items I havent taken ownership of despite not being able to use ANYTHING without the weights.
I bought a used machine and they gave me a 15-day warranty, and when I arrived at the house, I found that the electricity was not working. I called them several time And they give me promises .... since 45 days and the lying continues without end I promise you that when they come for maintenance I will inform you and if they do not attend I will inform you thank you
Affordable prices on equipment. Got setup with a nice home gym for a price that is manageable.
End of November we bought an elliptical. Two days later we asked for a refund because we found a different elliptical for a better price at Dicks sporting goods. They said no problem we will refund you. May take a week or so but your refund will go through.Fast forward over two months, over half a dozen calls, phone tag, promises that we would be called back. And we STILL have NO REFUND.They tried to blame our bank. We called our bank and bank said there is no evidence that we were refunded just the initial charge.Called corporate we were sick of dealing with the location we bought the elliptical from Corporate said sorry have to deal with the location you bought from.As of today they promise that will figure it out over the weekend and call us back. Im not holding my breath.60 money back guarantee. More like it takes more than 60 days to get your money back. This absolutely ridiculous and there no excuse for this in my mind.
Very limited stock, although this could be contributed to covid. Basically only have machines as well so no luck finding strength training equipment. I will also add I was in the store for about 15-20 minutes without getting any help at which point I decided to leave. Did not interact with staff however so cant pass on any opinions of them.
I used to be a loyal customers with 2nd Wind Exercise as they were always helpful and went that extra mile for customers. Since it was bought, the stores have gone downhill really fast. Its actually noticeable when you walk in as the employees just dont care. When I called about moving equipment I had bought under 2nd Wind, I was told that any warranties/guarantees made with 2nd Wind didnt apply any longer. Thats exactly what I told them was how my shopping there would be....no longer...Sad, it was such a great franchise.
They had the choice of deluxe massage chairs
Helpful. I may be purchasing an expensive piece of equipment from them.
The selection looked decent though I question some of the pricing for used weights compared to what they cost brand new.Staff never bothered acknowledging my presence while I was in the store aside from glancing at me when I entered.
I have always found my Rosedale store to be helpful and knowledgeable.Great to do business with.
I stopped in on a Friday evening (3-24-17) at the Roseville store off of Snelling to check out available recumbent bikes. I had my 2 girls with me (ages 9 and 11). I was greeted by Chris Wellnitz, however I was fine to peruse since he was with another mother/child duo. Once he was finished with them he came over to see how I was doing. I expressed that I was looking for a recumbent bike, that I didnt want to spend too much, and that it needed to be something that could handle my weight (320), and be comfortable. There are no words to describe what happened next so I will do my best. Chris listened to EVERY SINGLE WORD! He didnt judge me (as I have had in the past at other stores-not 2nd wind). He was sincere, walked me through what he felt would be the best bike (not the best sale), and was also charming. He made me feel like I was a human wanting to find something to get fit. He did NOT look down at me, talk down to me, and was so kind to my 2 kiddos. It was the first time ever that I had walked into an exercise store and felt like I mattered and someone cared to help me. I took his card that day and stated I would talk to my husband and stop back in. I am sure he hears that a lot, as most sales people do, however he gave me the hours that he would be there the next day and that he looked forward to seeing me. Because of CHRIS, I came back at 11am the next day to purchase the bike that he suggested would be the best fit for what I wanted. It wasnt the least expensive, but it wasnt outside my budget either. I came back because of the interaction I had with CHRIS! He is amazing! He showed that he truly cares about each and every person that walks through that door. Like I said, there are no words to state how he made me feel like I was a person, and that goes so far! If you go there make sure you ask for Chris.
They unfortunately do not buy used equipment like 2nd wind* trade in only however the guy was very nice and gave me a price range to sell my equipment if I were to list it online
Dick Enrico is a rude arrogant bully!!!! I will never buy from him!! Ive seen him tell people off in public and embarrass them after they were so kind to him.Shame on you!! There is no excuse for your behavior!!!
Great customer service for all the dumb questions I was asking!!!
Good selection of equipment.
Great products and services
