I drive out of my way to shop at the Nugget. Best store in the area. Best selection. Best displays. Best value. Best people. Best variety of new and appetizing items. I grew up in Europe and I feel like Im shopping in an upscale European market. Never going back to Raleys or Safeway.
Love this place! It is not the place to buy kitchen staples (flour, sugar, dish soap etc) because theyre expensive here. Its not that kind of grocery store. It is the best possible example of a gourmet grocer. The produce is ripe, picture perfect and delicious. The baked goods are better than any independent bakery weve found in this whole area. The deli items and prepared foods are innovative and quite tasty (try the chicken salad made with cranberries and walnuts), havent been disappointed yet. Staff is well informed and cheerfully helpful. Its a pleasure to shop there.

Especially for the witch cupcakes!Also the lady helped me was really nice and she packed these cakes with individual boxes! They had amazing sandwiches but their customer service skills could use some improvement because they kind of brushed me off while i was waiting in line and served someone else before me... But when they did get to me they were really nice and got my order without any mistakes... With the exception of the olives.. I asked them for black olives and i got brown olives.
Nice, unique ingredients, clean. Their fuyu persimmons were the most unripe in the whole city though. Dont know where they got them from.
One of my favorite places to shop. They have a large variety of different foods and products that are hard to find elsewhere. I also like their focus on local products and products that have less additives in them.

This is my favorite grocery store in the area!We moved to Rocklin a year ago from the Silicon Valley and my description of this place based on being a Bay Area resident is…Nugget Market is a cross between Lunardis, Whole Foods, and Draegers. Top notch all the way…The staff is by far better than any I’ve experienced at any grocery store in my life…and being a big cook and the one who handles ALL the grocery shopping for my family, I’ve got a lot of experience!Keep up the great work and awesome customer service!
This is a market to linger in. Staples beside luxuries. Multitudes of organic options. Extremely nice staff and always exceptionally clean.
Excellent customer service. I have yet to meet an unhelpful or impolite employee. The sandwich shop it amazing and I come here for lunch (or dinner) as often as i am around. The sandwich menu is simple yet completely different than anyone else. Come here if you want something different...but not weird. Coffee and drinks, cakes and cookies all delicious and all made fresh on site. There is no other store like Nugget. I wish there were more locations(Edit: I was going to start reviewing sites on maps with a bit more reserve. No 5 stars...ever...Nugget is the exception. When I need to shop for food. There is no other place I would rather go)
The bakery needs some attention. I ordered a cake for a 90th birthday. Just a simple white cake 2 layers. The layers of the cake are sooo crooked and leaning a 10 year old could have done better!!! They also were to put pink decorations around the bottom of the cake that did not happen. I can live with that but I had my husband pick up the cake and they should have been embarrassed to present it to him. A 90th birthday is a big deal and so is the cake as part of that celebration!!!

Every time I go in, I have never been disappointed. I have gotten several special occasion cakes here, platters, prepared foods and hard to find items. The specialty cheeses are delicious, the extra thick bacon is awesome and the new kombucha bar is tasty. If you love red velvet cake, carrot cake or strawberry shortcake, you will not be disappointed.

Holy Moses this is one of the nicest grocery stores i have ever been to! Even the floor is fancy. The prices werent ridiculous either. We saw cotton candy milk which is crazy but delicious. Everyone was helpful and friendly. The deli was real busy during the lunchtime and they seemed to have lots of wonderful treats in the bakery that looked amazing but we didnt try.
New location same great selection of groceries and produce. Their bakery and deli counter are top notch. My only complaint is that they dont have a pizza oven like the location at at Pleasant Grove. Otherwise glad they opened up this new location.
The pizza kitchen staff was friendly and funny. I also got food from the deli and the deli girl was very patient. It was nice that I did not feel rushed with my questions to her. I felt welcomed by the staff.
When I want specialty desserts this is my go-to store. Also, the quality of their meat and fresh veggies is great. Was very important while training for triathlons.

Have you ever noticed that nuggets doesn’t have a self checkout area? Is that a good or bad thing..lolI’ll leave you to think about it :)In case you don’t know, it’s a brand new store that opened a couple of months ago. They have everything you want :) It’s super clean with so many good quality options.including my favorite chocolate. If you haven’t had one of these, please go do your self a favor and grab one.
Very good produce department. Was able to get fresh veggies to grill even after 4pm on 4th of july! The corn on the cob was outstanding!
Nice store, huge specialty inventory. I was so overwhelmed with their deli and meat dept offerings. Huge amount of custom sausages and the deli was very organized. Everything seemed fresh. My favorite things there are the big hot sauce selection. Craft beer and ciders are very well represented.

This is a store you fall in love with. You name it, they have it. The BEST deli, bakery, dessert, wine, produce and the absolute BEST meat department and the really unbelievable fish department.Yes it is upscale so you pay more but the food is superior and worth every penny.Least we not forget the staff. How they manage to get the most knowledgeable and nicest employees Ill never know.Im hooked!Just try once and youll see.

We had our first visit to a Nugget Market about two weeks ago and WOW!! This store is very impressive, from produce, to the meat department to the mass variety their cheese counter has to offer and the deli and hot foods it was just WOW! And the bakery and Gelato everything just looked divine! We couldn’t decide what kind of dessert to pick out for my mothers birthday on St Patrick’s Day so we ended up picking several different desserts and cake slices and we were not disappointed with any of them!! Everything tasted delicious and fresh! It was so good that my husband and I went back the next day just to try even mire bakery items to bring home and share for desserts for the rest of the week lol! We’ll definitely always be back just for the bakery alone, we’re excited to try some hot food items next time, they have so many to select from I’m sure we won’t be disappointed there either!

I love Nugget stores but won’t be returning to this one. Both employees and customers either not wearing masks or not wearing them correctly. When mask mandates aren’t being enforced it makes you wonder what other rules won’t be enforced. Hard pass for me.

WOW! i just moved to the area from Austin, Texas. Austin is a foodie city and justly proud of wonderful markets and grocery stores. HEB Central Market is a jewel. Whole Foods Market started in Austin, but since being bought out by Amazon has sadly fallen down on many fronts. So when new friends here said Oh, head to Nugget! You will NOT be disappointed! And man, were they right! What a wonderful store! I love the fantastic produce, meats, and bakery and deli. It is a place where I can find great gourmet and organic but also get my ibuprofen and windex. Friendly helpful folks work there and it was a fabulous first shopping experience. I rate a grocery store by bad, good, very nice, and then dangerous Dangerous = EXCELLENT I will be spending a lot of time and money there and so grateful to know about it.
Well, how can anyone give the Nugget anything less than 5 stars? I couldnt find ham steaks. When I was in the check out line, the checker asked if I found everything I was looking for and I said no.Fortunately, there was no one behind me.She closed the check out line to walk me to the ham steaks and back to the checkout line.This isnt the typical service you get in most (any!) other stores.If you want great service, this is your store!
As always this store offers quality food. Vegetables with great choices mostly organic. Staff is so attentive, chackout always a breeze. One obstacle I have encountered today that I could not get sashimi grade Ahi at the amount I needed. I asked for 1/3 of a pound to which I was told I can not have because I can only buy the amounts they have predetermined for me. I wish it did not happen this way. I did not buy this item. After leaving the store I ended up with a lousy feeling. Perhaps I should find a store that will sell meat and fish at the amount I need.
Yuppie-ville anyone. Feel prices are high for similar products in competitors store especially in prepared food areas. However 80% of time service is above average and I think what i am paying for in addition to clean, well organized and stocked shelves

And I love that I can find some other common items, like Coke, that you cant find at some competitors stores. Im looking forward to the opening of the new location, which is minutes away from my house!
I picked out two Ribeyes today and they looked good at 18.00 a pound. Grilled them the same day. They were tough s medium rare. I always come here for my steaks but had some Safeway meats that were more tender at, 10.99 a pound. Whats up with this Nugget?

Been a couple years since my last visit to a Nugget grocery. Picked up some awesome treats for dinners. The meat counter is my biggest inspiration! Picture perfect veggies and fruits, too. Wanted to explore the prepared foods counters, but just too crowded. Running out of time and $$. Yes, Nugget is pricier than the everyday markets, but the quality and selection make it worth the splurge.
I have shopped at Nugget Markets in Roseville since 2016, and they have been my go-to market since then. But I have witnessed some down-right frightening situations since that time due to their horrible, infection-producing practices.The first time was when I witnessed first-hand a filthy bathroom. After I brought that to their attention, they seem to have rectified the situation and I have not seen a dirty bathroom since. At least from what I can see.That was a year or so ago before Covid.But after today, i will never darken their doors again for the following reasons:They were letting people in mask-less, even though it is a government mandate. They were asking people at the door, but if they refused to wear a mask they were let in to the store, regardless. Why ask? It is just a sham if you let people in the door, regardless!Then as I was leaving the store, I witnessed one employee checking the temperature of another as she entered to begin her shift. They shared out loud the result of that temperature check. Her temperature was 101 degrees. Now, I am a retired nurse and I recognize that as a temperature that is a classic sign of COVID, although it could be something else. Certainly, it is not indicative of the common cold. I believe the woman let in the door is a checker. I have seen her many times. So she is handling our food with symptoms of Covid, even if not a checker.I now am left to wonder how many of the almost 30,000 people that have contracted Covid in our county and the almost 300 that have perished as a result of this deadly disease contracted Covid at a Nugget Market.Because they are a store brimming with potential deadly disease.I called and spoke with the owner about my concern with the employee being allowed to work with a fever.He said he would talk with the person but he did NOT say he would send her home. So this infected person is allowed to handle our food and spread her infection to the people shopping there, and to other employees.So beware of shopping at Nugget Markets in Roseville.You are literally placing your life at great risk doing so.***Edit of my initial review following the owners response: Unfortunately this person is not being honest. I witnessed a shopper being allowed in the store with no mask! The gentleman appeared perfect healthy and rushed in the store without a mask. The employee at the door asked no questions regarding his health.Since the owners response is not being completely honest regarding the mask situation, I feel I have to doubt his response regarding the employee who was allowed to work with her temperature of 101 degrees. It may be true, it may not be. But the fact of the matter is they advertise that a person with a fever of over 100.4 degrees is sent home immediately. That did not happen.But let the potential shopper be the judge. As for me, I would never trust this company again with my health. Doing so could be a death sentence for me.

I love their deli sandwiches they are too notch quality and the store has a food flower section. Also has quality food for grocery shopping. The staff is always friendly and helpful.

This is a special supermarket! Amazing selection, fantastic staff and reasonable prices make this my all time favorite grocery. Its what Whole Foods would be if they werent publicly owned.
First time at all this store it’s nice lots of organic foods and organic diet supplements Aromatherapy and much much more we went there for Super Bowl Sunday for snacks.
So, the Nugget has a Cheesemonger, what else needs to be said? In how many stores can you say, Darling, go ask the Cheesemonger for a sample of double cream Gouda.? That experience alone is worth the visit. As well, our checker was a Top Gun who gave us a free cloth bag to keep our specialty root beers safe until we got to the party. To top the visit off, Carolyn from Carolyns Cookies was there giving away free samples of her cookies. So, I bought a bag and brought them with. Once we cooked the amazing cookies, I went from social outcast to super cool. Thanks Carolyn and thanks Nugget!

OMG! Im a Nugget addict. The employees are among the most courteous I have ever seen, and Ive lived in several cities. When I mentioned I was new to the area. I was given a free treat from the bakery.I asked about real andouille sausage for New Years and the butcher said they make it from time-to-time, but they were out. Then, he decided to season ground meat/pork to make it andouille for me! And the list goes on.This is not just a supermarket, but a supermarket ecperience. Nugget does it better than all others.

Great pizza to go. Better than whole foods. Loved that they required masks, but also supplied them without no charge like business who require it should. Where other grocery stores try to charge for make during this epidemic if they require it, which is a conflict of interest and forcing fees on their customers.

Love this market, amazing food, I have a hard time just getting out of the deli area. Love there corn bread & poppyseed bagels, if you like brussel sprouts they have balsamic marinated ones in the deli that are very tasty, lol everything looks so delicious😋

This store has everything. Quality meats, cheeses and produce. They carry boars Head, raw milk and lots of exotic fruit preserves. They market is always clean organized and well stocked.
Wonderful Fully Loaded Market. Probably has some of the best lighting--halogen-- in any market, and that means you can easily see all their wonderful food. Huge, broad assortments. You can find anything you need here. Moderate to better prices, but mostly very reasonable. Terrific layout makes it easy to find things. Real fun store to shop.Ive been to this place six times. Everytime I go, I find something new and wonderful about it. Try their bakery goods. Outstanding breads and cakes to die for.Highly recommended.
I dont like being forced to wear a mask. They were out of the tea I wanted and the sale price didnt ring up properly.
