Lots of neat games, including hard to find and limited edition games. There are games for kids, adolescents and adults. Large array of disc golf Frisbee and magic card. There are drones and puzzles. Theres even fun gag gifts like a sticky poop ball (shaped like an emoji).

Its pretty nice! There are a good amount of board games and puzzle toys, theres also a MASSIVE lava lamp, looks like 3-4 ft tall and it looks sick. If youre at Rosedale mall you should visit this place.

Stopped in to shop for a hard-to-buy-for young adult. He loves having game nights with family and friends. Games by James did not disappoint. The associates were all very helpful and friendly. There is a plethora of games, puzzles, toys, and accessories to choose from. I found a found sounding game that I think my kid will enjoy. I should have signed up for their rewards program as Im a puzzle fanatic and will be back to buy a puzzle or all of them at a later date.

Came in to buy some top loaders with a friend. I asked the female employee their restrictions and she said it’s limited to one per person. As I was going to buy one for myself and my friend for him, she denied our purchases. Now she’s limiting our purchases to one per group. This may be some Asian hate by twisting their words. Do not support this business. Never will go again.

My husband is being deployed and I went in to find some small games I could give him for Christmas that wouldn’t take up much space. Wow, Wyatt knew exactly what to show me and explained the games in detail so I could decide if they’d be the right fit... number of people required, how long a game takes to play, etc. I love going to a store and being helped in a way that a long Google search session is not required. Thanks for the help, Wyatt!

We were greeted as we walked in the door but that was it. I wanted to purchase a few things and I stood at the checkout while an employee was about 15 feet away re-stocking stuffed animals. We stood and stood there and stood there. He acted like he didnt see us. He wouldnt even acknowledge us or grab someone to ring us up. Another guy came from the back and ended up ringing us up. He was also Mr. Personality. Ill stick to other toy and games stores. These employees obviously hate customer service.

The kids and I had a lot of fun! Everyone found something and the employees were excellent!

Very rude staff my husband and I have serious medical conditions where we can not wear a mask and when we tried to explain to the employee he was very rude and told us to get out of the store according to the Americans with disabilities act you can not treat us differently then anyone else because of our medical condition which we have doctors notes saying we can’t not physically wear a mask. If he would have been polite about the situation and said it was store policy and been nice it would have been no issue. The employee was very rude and kept cutting us off. My family spend lots of money on board games every year as we like to donate them to people who can’t afford things for there kids. We will be spending our money else where. From on now

Today my wife daughter and I, were walking into the store. The employee working today asked if we had masks. I had started to respond with medical reasoning and had offered to show him a drs. Note stating that because of my health issues I’m not capable of wearing a mask, witch no other place in the mall has had an issue with all day. I was very rudely interrupted and told to leave the store. In direct disregard for the American disability’s act of 1990. This was handled very poorly. Even if it was a store policy, he was extremely rude about it.

The place to get any game or puzzle. Enthusiastic, knowledgeable staff (game geeks!) and extensive selection of games and puzzles.

Very cool store, lots of stuff to look atand buy. Was being pestered by the only staff working there due to him being bored(probably because of covid) and didnt get the hint I was just trying to mind my own and shop but I cannot blame him. Great Store!

Very nice store. Very clean and well lit, with a good wide assortment of games. The staff is very young and very energetic, but they are a tad intrusive and annoying. You can tell theyre passionate about the games, but they do try to sell to you rather aggressively.

You guys rock! Once again games I needed for the kiddos this Christmas you had. Your employees are very helpful, and were filled with holiday spirit. I detest going to the mall any weekend before Christmas, but if it is to go to your store, Ill brave it. Thank you!

Terrific selection of board and card games. Options for both adults and kids. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. For game nerds this store has a rewards system. Also, they have multiple locations around the greater Twin Cities. This one is quite spacious and has tables in the back for playing. If you enjoy games, this place is a must!

Sales person was extremely helpful with choosing a birthday gift for my 8 year old. He asked what sorts of games we played and made two great recommendations. He was well knowledged and clearly passionate about board games. You dont get that kind of service from those online places.

Went in looking for some random board game to purchase. The worker was super friendly and spent a lot of time explaining the games I was interested in and even tried to find something that had all my interests put into 1. We all know thats impossible for board games but he found something pretty easy and decent.

Actually found a Star Wars Rey Pop that my daughter didnt have in her vast collection! Great store!

I brought a puzzle up to the counter and the guy there even though he was busy let me know that they had the whole sheet in stock then took the time to converse with me on what the best one was to get. Glad I went!

Nice little game store. Prices are generally MSRP which means you might be better off just ordering online for something new. When something goes on clearance, thats the time here deals can be found.

Poor customer service. Details below.I purchased a D&D 5th Edition card deck from the store. The contents within the box were not as described on the box, and their is no detailed description of its contents online. The store associate refused to refund my money, despite acknowledging that Wizards of the Coast was misleading and there was no way to verify the contents of the box prior to opening.Buyer beware, if an item is not as advertised, and you opened it, then you are SOL. Best to use Amazon.

The staff was attentive and fun; when we tried a game they had on display, they were at our side to explain the rules and were so clear about directions & cheerful about playing, they made the shopping experience twice as fun. Store was clean and well stocked.

This is a great place to get a board game. The staff is aways ready to explain the games.

Bought a toy and opened it in the store and gave it to my kid. Whoever the worker was on September 17th at around 7:30pm wouldnt take the small peice of trash (wrapper) because he said his trash was full. I just thought it was rude. The trash was clearly not that full. Even if it was, it shouldnt even matter. He could always take the trash out. Thats his job as a store associate. Plus, he was lucky enough I even bought something. Never again will I step foot in that store. Had to walk around the mall to dispose the toy wrapper in one of the malls trash bin. Bad customer service!!!!

Good for buying tabletop games (and puzzles) but I wouldnt recommend this store for Magic players or for events (like game night).

Purchased a $50 game with a credit card in December to give to a family member. Turns out they already had the game so I went to return it in January. I was told I could no return an item and credit my card without a receipt (which had been lost in the wrapping process). I was told their system was not able to pull it up. I offered to show them my credit card statement which showed the date and precise amount of the purchase with tax. In the end I had to settle for a store credit gift card. Very poor experience. I wont go back and will encourage others to avoid it. Oh, and on top of that I found out that the other person who bought the game got it for $25 via Amazon.

I really like visiting Games By James locations, and this one is my favorite. Their staff is really knowledgeable and excited about what they do.

An OK selection of games and most of the time Ive been theres been someone reasonably helpful. But every now and then I feel like the person working there helecopters over me a bit too much, trying to help more than I might want.
