Just bought a new bike from The Hub. The price was right. They had all the accessories I needed to customize it for me the way I like it and Their staff was amazing. The spent a few hours getting the bike and myself all dialed in and set up specifically for me. I highly recommend checking them out if in the market for a new bike.

I got to to say, it is a great shop and very knowledgeable staff. I was 25 minutes to closing when I went into their store and they still help me like they were open for business and other 3 hours. They took their time to explain what needed to be done with my bike and what it may cost. So if you are looking for people that wont blow smoke up the rear end the hub is the best place to go to get knowledge about a bike and service work on your bike.

I have been a customer at The Hub for two years. The first time I walked in I was looking to buy the first bike of my adult life. To say I was a novice and completely clueless was an understatement. Sarah was the first person to walk up and introduce herself and offer her expertise on finding the right bike for me. She was (and is still😊), amazing! Her customer service never made me feel incompetent and she was very informative and helpful. She led me straight to the perfect bike for me at the time, and made sure I had everything I needed to start enjoying mountain biking!Since that day, my Fiancé and I have been back many many times (sometimes just to say hi to our friends after tacos across the parking lot 😂). The service department is excellent as well. The mechanics are all very experienced and knowledgeable. We have had our bikes serviced and one practically re-built, and have been 💯 satisfied with all the work done.If you’re in the market for a new bike or just want to give your old one a face-lift, I highly recommend The Hub!!!

I have been coming to the Hub for years. They are all so very friendly and care most about meeting your needs as a customer and giving you what is best. The owners and the staff care about getting people on bikes and getting the service done right.One experience that sticks out to me is a time that I was speaking with the owner about something after my service and needs were handled. He saw another customer who needed help and immediately left our conversation to go help them. Some might think that was rude, since I am also a customer. However, he was able to immediately assess the situation and knew that I had already been taken care of, and this other customer was in greater need. At that moment, I knew Heath cared about his customers and I would be sending every recommendation to them.I have also felt the Elitist Bike Shop employee/mechanic effect from almost every bike shop I have visited. The first time I went in, I acted like I was a novice to see how they would treat me. They didnt know I had 20 years of riding experience, and almost as much of mechanical experience. Joe treated me like a friendly neighbor who loved wrenchin! I had no idea he had over 30 years of professional mechanical experience and knew more about bikes than I could ever hope to learn.Go here, you will be happy you did!

The entire team at The Hub does an excellent job! I can’t tell you how much I appreciate their genuine interest and concern for taking care of me as a customer. From special part ordering to keeping the stuff I love in stock (which is super tough right now due to the Covid induced supply issues endemic to the bike industry). The service area has someof the best “wrenches” anywhere. Joe is amazing and can solve just about any mechanical problem. Brian does a great job managing the service area and taking care of issues with great suggestions and solutions. Erik handles inventory and retail supply chain and has a knack for sourcing the hard to find parts I like. And, finally Sarah always greets me with a genuine caring smile. Like I said. People here really care about their customers and will end up treating you more like family. Yes, nobody’s perfect. However the team at the hub gets it right the vast majority of the time. Stop by and say hi to the crew.

I spent well over $11,000 at this bike shop and have interacted on multiple occasions with the Owners (Heath and Sara), Sales, and Service.Based on my experiences, customer satisfaction is not their top priority. They will treat you great as long as youre spending money, but the service beyond the sale is seriously lacking.For both new bikes I purchased, I had to bleed the brakes and adjust the rear derailleurs after service spent multiple hours working on the bikes. Being busy should not be an excuse for disappointing service. They are not very knowledgeable and the level of service I received left me shocked.I will not be spending anymore money with this shop due to the poor service and treatment I received . Ive been in the mountain bike industry for over 15 years. There is a lot of room for improvement at this shop.

The Hub, is the best bike shop ever. Staff is so friendly. And Heath is a great person. He fitted me for my road bike couple years ago and i love it. Was also able to ride one of the demo bikes and I really liked it as well. If you ever have any questions or looking for a bike, the Hub is the place to go. I love this place!!!!!February 2018 I was eating tacos across the street and I decided I wanted to buy a bike. So I stepped foot in this shop looking for a Intense Tracer 27.5. After talking with Heath about my riding style and my riding history I walked out with a Intense Carbine 29er, aka TheGoldenBear.I am not a bicycle mechanic or know-it-all by any means, in fact, I just ride it and bring it to them to fix it. With that being said, the mechanics are top notch and extremely knowledgeable and have helped me keep my bikes in preemo condition.The staff is awesome! I appreciate their suggestions and I love the fact they arent pushy and they dont try to up-sell me.The Hub has treated me and my fiancé excellent! We have bought 4 bikes in 3 years and I hear my new special order is arriving soon!If you are in the Roseville area stop by and check out the shop and say hi and then get tacos. Its a win win!!Also, during the Covid they have been open, clean, sanitary and working their buns off during the high demand of the bike industry.

My son & I decided to check out this bike shop today, and when we entered (with mask) we were told that they were closed and only open for service. They didnt even bother to ask what we were looking for or how can we help you. We were only looking for seats, pedals and grips, and the employee was very rude. During this time these businesses want support so they can stay open for business but this experience was poor & will never recommend this place to anybody. Being refused service but doors unlocked and website says open makes no sense at all. Good luck

Heath and Sarah are two of the most caring, hardest working small business owners I have ever met. Most recently, Heath took time to clean-up and fix an old bike of ours for a friend who wanted to go ride with his kids during COVID-19. He didnt give it to his service guys, he did it himself! I purchased a new trek slash in February of this year. Heath is very knowledgeable and did a great job helping me find the exact bike I was looking for. He took me out on a demo ride to ensure I was 100% confident in my purchase. In addition Joe the bike tech is very meticulous and played a huge role to get my bike to the specs and feel l was looking for. No stars at All and BOOOO. It was a horrible experience for my daughter and Eric could not act more like an over privileged prude because he is all the way to the top of that scale. Eric obviously does not care how rude he is or whose feelings he hurts. Did he really think we were going to buy a bike after that? Your shop has THE WORST INVENTORY FOR PARTS! It should just be named Buy Erics bikes and does not earn the designation of Bike Shop. Go elsewhere.and Eric what comes around goes around and I would not went to be you.

Ive been here a few times over the course of the last few weeks. My family has been fixing up all of our bicycles since most of us our home. I had never been to the Hub prior to that so maybe it was just a weird few days for them but who knows.The first time I went in I was looking to have one of my spoke looked at. After I stood in line for 20 minutes, I was finally helped and left my tire overnight to get fixed. A really young kid helped me out and he was great. I came back in to pick it up and it wasn th a problem. Everything went fine. A few days later, one of our other bikes need a tire replaced. I brought it in and after forty minutes was told that I would need to change my tire size, get new suspension, or switch to a hybrid tire. The bike is a mountain bike so none of those options made a lot of sense for my use. After everything I wont be coming back againThere is a major lack of customer service or care.

Purchased a new bike on line, when it came in the gears were not set up properly felt like I was riding a automatic bike, gears were switching on its own. After calling a few shops around Sacramento every one told me 2-4 weeks wait time before any one can even take a look. I came in to Hub bike shop and told them about my problem, right away they told me bring by your bike we will look at it today. Got it all adjusted within 30 min and was excited about my new bike again. Thanks guys.

Came in two days ago cause my gear wouldnt switch and just wanted someone to take a look and give me some choices if it was broken. This place look dingy and dark. The woman working was the only person talking to customers. The whole time I was there it felt like I shouldnt have been. Almost no one was nice or even decent when talking to me. Just really upsetting because I love supporting local businesses but this place is just the worst.

Ive spent some time in different bike shops over the years and The Hub is as good as it gets. The owner, Heath, takes a personal interest in his customers. These guys are not interested in selling you something you dont actually need or that would not be suited for your riding style/ability. They take the time to listen to your concerns, answer your questions and make sure you get the best fit possible for your individual needs. No pressure - no hard sell. You just get the sense they are genuinely concerned about your well being. They have years of riding and racing experience so they know what theyre talking about; theyre happy to pass that along to you.

I have had many crashes in the ten years Ive been mountain biking and I always went to the same shop to get my bike fixed up. The Hub offers top notch service from their very experienced mechanics and will help you find the bike of your dreams from the help of their salesmen. The people that work there are awesome... They took the time to teach me about the different bikes they sell and even ones they dont, instead of pushing me just to purchase a bike. They provided me information on the differences in components as well as all of the other items you will need to enjoy riding and they are great to deal with. I had a great experience at The Hub. The staff are helpful, not pushy, and asked all of the right questions to put me on the bike that best suits my wants.The only reason I didnt give these guys five stars is that while my bicycle was assembled well, they failed to remove some of the factory packaging plastic on components, which meant that I had to slightly disassemble my bike to get it clean looking. It was a minor inconvenience, and I bet if I took it to them they would have taken care of it over a beer and/or coffee.Bottom line: I visited over a dozen bike shops in the Sacramento area, and The Hub is hands down the best shop that I found.

Asked them to focus on cleaning and maintenance of hubs and crank. All they did was tighten it down a little. They didn’t even clean the grime off. Then told they needed to remove the grips to replace beanie handle. Come to find they installed new ones with out my approval. Feeling ripped off big time

I have been going here for years for my bicycle needs. The service is usually decent but you will get attitude if you do not go with their suggestion. Recently they have lost my business because of one major incident. They sold me a faulty tire tube which popped on the fist ride the new tire had been on. They told me that it was a pop due to a faulty tube and fixed it. This tube was from there store and they installed it. They then charged me for a completely new tube and installation price. Even after admitting it was a faulty product they sold. I will not be buying from them or using there services again. A company that cannot stand by their work or products does not deserve my money. Hopefully this is helpful to other customer.

Have to say... these guys are pros and I had a great experience. As someone newly getting into road biking, I had done a little research and knew just enough to be dangerous so I had a ton of questions. Spoke with Dante and he was incredibly patient and helpful with all my questions.Helped me narrow down what I was looking for and then set me up with 4 different bikes to test ride so we could make sure I got the geometry that felt the best for me. Incredibly helpful and no pressure in trying to sell a bike to me, just completely taking the time to help me with my road bike education.After having been to a couple of different shops pretty much ready to buy, but getting minimal attention, I was extremely happy with the vibe here and the eagerness to be of service to a customer, whether I purchased or not.Will definitely take my business here, these are some good guys.

2/3 employees seemed great, the third was a dick! Was ready to spend about $500 here, but so disgusted by the over-inflated head of the all knowing tech guy. Walked out just in the nick of time. We will not ever return to this shop! Bought a beach cruiser for our daughter for her birthday from a different retail store . Upon purchase we realized the front rim was bent. We then took it to The Hub to get it repaired and the guy said hed have to order a new rim for us . We said that was fine, this was on Saturday and he said it should be ready on Tuesday.Well, Tuesday came and we hadnt heard from them, my husband called the shop and the bike tech tells him he stills needs to order the part and wanted us to come back in to pay for it first! When husband explained hed be out of town for a couple days and offered to pay over the phone with our card he was told they only accept pay pal over the phone. Seriously?!?!We went back to pick up the bike a couple days later and will not ever return to this shop! Seems to us ( and from what weve heard from others as well ) that they didnt want our business because we werent spending big $$ at their shop seeing as our daughters bike is a Huffy Beach Cruiser and didnt need pricey parts ! The bike tech gave the impression that he didnt really want to even work on the bike.Sorry, it wasnt good enough for you, but no worries, we took our business to another shop that was all too happy to help us out!

Went online to see how much it would cost to put together a boxed bike from Costco. Went to drop the bike off and looked at the ticket on the way out the price was about $25 higher than the WEB price. I was told they had raised the prices several weeks earlier but hadnt gotten around to changing the prices online.Maybe I am old fashioned, but most good businesses stand up behind advertised prices.

I finally understand why Ive heard so many negative things about this shop in the past. Do you really want to shop somewhere the owner refers to his customers as a tool, waste of time or a bad customer? The owner publicly posted about me a total tool and a waste of my time and says that its his job to charge as much as possible.Ive purchased a number of random parts from this shop (and paid full price) but have always been offered a discount on big ticket items. I called them up last week about another big ticket item and asked if I would be given the same discount (not demanding, just inquiring). The owner immediately gets hostile, calls names, refers to me as a bad customer because I didnt pay full price on big ticket items in the past. Its important to note that these discounts were offered by his staff, I didnt even ask!The owner then said its my job to charge as much as possible, calls me a bad customer for not paying full price in the past (did he expect me to insist on paying more when they offered me a discount last time?), then hangs up on me. Then when I post a review of his shop on a forum, he publicly replies to it that I am a total tool and a waste of my time.The shop owner truly does not value his customers and I only wish I had realized this sooner to shop elsewhere.

I came in need of a flat repair and he took me in with the quickness, but be prepared to pay $15. The mechanic was very knowledgable and he even helped me realign my disc brake. Overall, it was a good experience just a bit pricey for an inner tube and about 3 minutes of labor.

They charged me $15 to put air in a new tube the tube cost $10 when I questioned them they told me that was the “service charge “ $15 additional dollars for 30 seconds of air I thought it was just good customer service I was wrong won’t recommend them to anyone

I purchased my first mountain bike recently from The Hub, and prior to choosing them I shopped at every bike store from Auburn, Eldorado Hills/Folsom, to Roseville. All the shops that I went to test ride bikes did not have my size, and just wanted me to order it without the ability to ride or even see the bike. The Hub had the exact Trek I was looking for, and had it in my size. The employees did not pressure me at all, but instead wanted me to get what I wanted over what they thought was best. Their wealth of knowledge, and passion for the industry made my buying experience better than any other place I visited. When I asked about a military discount they instantly said they offered one, and told me thanks for my service. Overall The Hub exceeded my expectations of a bike shop, and I will definitely be going back for anything I need.

Went in today with a friend and his wife who are bike people to find a bike for myself and my son and they were just as shocked as I was at the complete lack of courtesy or customer service by the staff. It reminded me of my time living in the former Soviet Union. Fortunately, in this great country, we are free to vote with our dollars and simply shop elsewhere. I suspect we simply werent as cool as that staff thinks they are. Im sure if I could ride 200 miles in twelve hours, they MIGHT have treated us differently. From other reviews here, it seems like the owner is a good guy; I feel bad we didnt get a chance to meet Keith. My favorite part of the visit was when I asked about a bike for my son and the salesman swung his arm in the general direction of the back left corner of the store and said,Theyre over there. I smiled to my friends and as we walked out, I pulled out the business card of the other bike shop we had just visited. There, the gentleman who just recently rode 200 miles in twelve hours still had enough energy to share his knowledge and passion with an older, very uncool and overweight guy who just wanted to get a bike for himself to try and keep up with his son, who at nine years old seems to love the sport.

Placed an order for a part, older gentleman at front desk didnt greet clients, including myself, must be the owner, rude and disconnected . I was helped by younger gentleman, who placed my order, didnt feel welcomed, told me they would call me when the part arrived, they never did. When I Picked up the part, same treatment. not asking for a welcoming Committee but at least acknowledge your customers.

Wow i wish i saw the reviews before i went in. Horrible customer service from the owner of the store. Immediately when we first came in the store the owner of the store was arrogant, condescending, rude, sarcastic just not professional whats so ever, and it shows in the occupancy of his store. It was completely empty. I honestly dont see this business lasting very long. So before you go in the store ask yourself do I want to ruin my day and give my money to someone who treats his customers like hes better then them.

The service well lets just put it this way.. I came in there a few days before and they told me they could build a wheel for me.. and before you know it they were like well I cant fix that wheel you will have to take it to the manufacture from where you got it from and have them build the wheel for you.. and the other funny thing is that I went to get two bolts for my bike and completely over charged me by 800% each bolt was $8.98 its like come on and most bike shops would just give it to you for free they are like a dime a dozen.So to be honest they claim they are such a great christian bike shop.. just please dont every broadcast your adds over a christian radio stations and then rob your consumers its just not morally right! Who care about money it just comes and goes! True people dont! Searched all over NorCal for a new Intense Tracer 2015, upgrading from my 2001. Not many shops offer Intense, although there were some online stores I could easily have bought through. One other shop could have ordered Intense but chose to try and sell me on Santa Cruz - just, no. I found out about The Hub just last year 2015, had no idea about this place. I did what you do, read reviews, learned about the shop. I always go in with an open mind and assume not everyone has the same experience. Not everyone can connect with the culture of bike shop owners/employees. I knew what I wanted and that had no bearing on who was selling me the product. I asked questions, rode the bike around, asked more questions. They didnt have the exact model/size I wanted to demo. They did have the Spider 29c, which I didnt think I would be interested in with it being more trail associated. I wanted bigger, enduro, all mountain. Ended up taking the Spider and it was the right choice. I love Intense and the Spider is exactly what I needed. No sales pressure, just excellent knowledge from Heath. The guys at the shop know their craft. It does help if you yourself know what you want, what youre talking about. If youre a little grey on technology, make it known so you dont feel talked down to. Theyll explain it. This shop does have high end products, but they can help with just about every level. Be realistic, use common sense. I love that if I call asking for a product, Heath, Andy, Ben, all - will set aside what I asked for. I TOO have to drive 20+ miles but what the heck. Go eat at Chandos while youre out. Relax and go ride.

You have got to love the owner of the Hub Bike shop. I was mountain biking and parked at the Confluence in Auburn. When I returned from my ride I put my Garmin 800 on the top rail of my pick up truck with good intention of putting it into my bike bag inside the cab. After attaching my bike in the bed of my truck I got into the drivers seat and made a U turn heading back up Forest Hill. My computer fell off onto the road. Fortunately Heath was just finishing his ride. He saw my Garmin and picked it up. He posted his finding on The Hubs web site, Facebook, and called Garmin with the serial number. Garmin then contacted me and put me in touch with Heath. When I called Heath he was sincerely happy that his efforts were successful. If we had more people like Heath in this world it would be a better place. Thanks Heath, you are five stars in my book.
