Chris was very professional and made sure everything was taken care of properly.

Chris worked on my car when noone else would. Even went behind someone who did some janky mess to it! He figured out the problem and got it fixed. He could have left me there without a car but he went above and beyond to get the problem solved. Without him i would still be without a car! Thanks chris!

Absolutely the WORST PLACE EVER. Took my car there to have transmission work done told me it would be 10 days and no more than $2200. 29 days later they tried telling me that it was $3000 I had to fight with them they were very unprofessional. Here we are five months later after them rebuilding my transmission and my car is been back in their shop five times an additional 10 to 20 days each time. They always have a story that somebody died or quit or something along those lines. Do not suggest this place at all, for anything.

They are shifty, and as for Chris held our keys hostage while our vehicle sat there over 30 days with little work done. Had to have our f150 towed home. Very unsatisfied now I have to spend even more money to have vehicle fixed plus any extra damages done to vehicle. DO NOT TRUST OR SPEND YOUR TIME AND HARD EARNED MONEY ON THIS PLACE.

Chris from American Transmission went out of his way to make sure we got the best price for our transmission. We had gotten 4 other estimates and none came close to the price we got at American. Professional and Friendly as well. Highly recommended.

As for a honey cox review they stole the vehicle off the lot and got a transmission completely rebuilt for them for $1000 they still owe $900 that’s the only reason We had their keys it’s far as I’m concerned they are thieves and they got their keys back three weeks after they stole the car off the lot the repairs were all the way completed must be nice getting half off a 1950$ repair

Worst Transmission shop ever.They are kind until you have a problem with their work. Then you get to see how unskilled and rude they can be. Ive been getting and recommending auto repair shops for over thirty years. Literally never seen anything as bad as this. Please dont use this facility or you will be very unhappy.

My 2011 Ram needed some trans work done. Dealership told me at least a month to even look at it. Called these guys and they took it in right away. Had it diagnosed the next day. Took a little time to get the parts(not their fault). Took about a week total but, again, that was only because of a parts shortage. Very professional throughout and the price was about what I expected. Id take my truck back to them if I had another transmission problem.

Chris replaced my alternator for a good price on my GMC Acadia. Even came to my house, which I appreciate. But now my air conditioner isnt running, and my car runs louder.

My daughter had her vehicle towed to this shop because it needed a rebuilt transmission. She did not know that this would be the mechanic visit from Hell. They told her that they needed to diagnose the transmission and asked for her birthdate. This transaction took place over the phone with a 20 year old young lady. When she called later for the estimate they told her $2,300, which is $800 more than her other 2 estimates that did not need more than the make, model, and year of the vehicle to give her an estimate. She then told them that she would like to pick up her vehicle. They then told her that she would have to give them $500 to get her car. Her car is only worth $3,000. After multiple conversations over the phone, they sent a text saying she could pick up her car for $200 diagnosis fee. To make a long story short, we ended up going up there with the police to resolve the issue and they backed out of the $200 deal and we told them they could have the car, because no person with any commonsense would give them $500 for an unauthorized diag fee or pay 75% of the cars worth for a rebuilt transmission. She purchased another running used car for $1,600. NEVER GO HERE! THEY ARE LIERS AND CROOKS!

This business is very unprofessional and unethical! The day my vehicle was towed there the shop never called to confirm the vehicle arrived and once I called them to confirm they had a hard time finding my vehicle at their location! Then I told them that I needed my transmission rebuilt and they said it would cost $2,300 to get the transmission rebuilt and once I told them I would b coming to get my car back they said I owe them $500 for my vehicle. After my mother talked to”Bill” the owner about his unreasonable price he texted me saying I could get my car back for $200. Once I called him to confirm the price and that I would bring it he then switched the price back to $500 and started yelling and being very rude over the phone. Once we arrived at the location with the police “Bill” then told them that he agreed to giving me the car back for $200 but that I wouldn’t get my transmission unless I paid him $499.

My car wasn’t working and I called Chris he came to my house the same day and fixed my car which other mechanics were not able to fix in a reasonable price . I 100% recommend him very good service

I got good quality brakes and rotors. My brakes were so bad before Chris fix them I couldnt even get out the driveway. Now Im driving again, nice! Thanks chris... See you again if i need anything else

Chris was amazing not for a second did I feel like he was trying to take advantage of me being a female. American Transmissions was the third shop that I had my car checked out at before deciding who seemed to be the most honest and caring. $2,300 later my 2009 mercury sable transmission was rebuilt and Chris also threw in full tune up and oil change I would highly recommend family and friends as well as any one in need of anything automotive related to bring their car there.

Chris was really great and helped my fiance out with his car. Great pricing and open on weekends by appointment only if need be. Would definitely take my vehicles back for any repair.

Never go this shop ever they will rob you of your money and they will keep making false promises they had my vehicle over a month and a half and still didn’t fix it. If you could rate zero stars I would give that. If you have a chance go elsewhere even if you can’t youd prefer to wait to go somewhere else.

Take my advice dont come here!!! Chris installed the turbocharger wrong ( The clamp was not installed properly which caused the turbocharger to go bad) according to another well Respected mechanic !! I recently had transmission service at American Transmission for my 2012 Dodge Avenger. The service was professional and prompt. Chris and Bill (and the entire staff) were always friendly and never too busy to take a phone call from me and answer any questions I had. They were very competitive with their pricing as well. When the work was completed they encouraged me to call or stop in anytime if I had any questions or issues with the car...which I have not. Great Job! Recently I had the opportunity to have my 1994 Ford Explorer transmission rebuilt at American Transmission. Like most people, I am weary of going to a new auto repair facility. I must say that not only did they complete the job ahead of schedule, they also were less money than any other shop I contacted. Great Job! I highly recommend them and will use them for future jobs.

Worst shop ever the shop owner or manager bill lets his employees do side deals where they do bad work. Bob and Jeremy worked on my truck for over a month and a half and still sent it back to me broken and not put together. Ive been reasonable the whole time and paid them in full and will not do anything to fix it. Unless you wanna get ripped off I would never recommend this place.

If I could, I’d give this place no stars. Horrible customer service and even worst car service. Everyone is incompetent. They took nearly a month to “fix” my car and when I complained, they sent it to a junk yard. And all this after giving them $900 to fix. They never got my permission to move my vehicle to another place. These people are clearly crooks and need to be shut down. People, don’t patronize these crooks. This is no anomaly, they are terrible!

Great guys! I dealt with Chris and his father, who is the owner, Bill. I called, had my car toed that day, they started working on it the next day and had it done by 5pm! Not a small job either, they installed the clutch on my 2006 Chevy Cobalt SS/SC and it runs better than it did when I first bought it! Overall I reccomend this shop to anyone who needs work done on their car/truck. They worked with me on the price too! 10/10

The owner Bill is a great guy. I have taken a few of my vehicles there and never had an issue. Every problem was diagnosed and fixed properly with no added or hidden costs.

Never go here, brought it in to do a simple diagnostic then they said it needed a new clutch. Quoted me $600 then half way through the job they bumped it up to $900 then 1 week later of waiting on them they charged me another $200 and the truck still wasnt fixed. Sold it and am never coming back. Neither should you. Probably gonna sue them too

This place is horrible and very unprofessional, the workers were smoking marijuana, the owner called complaining about when I was going to pay them, then dj called me apologizing stating that they’re having money problems and that’s the reason why.. I paid them $500 and they wrote me a receipt for 300 and stole the $200 didn’t realize it until I got home and when I called they lied about how much I gave them and the order of bills.. DO NOT GO HERE I’M WARNING YOU!!! Going through hell with this place as we speak.. Very disappointed in the service I’ve received.. They dont deserve a star at all. They said i needed transmisson fluid and a new seal and they refused to let me leave until it was fixed. So much so that they did it for free and just asked that i give them a good review and come back to them for future work.. Turns out all i needed was a new valve originally but whatever they did to my car, they completely destroyed my transmission. A few hours after picking it up it was not driveable. now i need a new trans that i am in the process of figuring out. I dont know how they are a business at all. What should have cost me roughly 1000 is now going to cost 3-4k.

Terrible... my truck was there for almost 3 months.. they stretched my shift cable and made me buy a new one... they had to fix the truck 3 different times.. save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else.. was never going to write a review but after 2 short years with less than 10k miles on the truck im in the same boat.. blown up trans... see what 3200 get ya...

They talk a line. $3600 and Truck did not make home from shop had to be towed back. Returned 8 times to try to fix leaks, slipping, and shutters. Finally took somplace else to have trans rebuilt again. Works great . Would give negative rating if possible.
