The Employee working the counter said Hello as soon as I walked in the door. He also had a smile on his face, was happy to give me honest information regarding a part for a car. Which alot of auto part store dont like to be honest Ive found out in my opinion but at Highway Auto Parts they will be honest & have great prices for used batteries or refurbished. And also have used alternators & more just have to know what type of model your car is, the year, what it is, and sometimes the engine size like is it a V8 or V6. Anyways I had a very pleasant experience at Highway Atuo Parts. I would recommend it to me family and friends.

Unexpectedly need an engine and was nervous about going to places thinking I would be racked over the coals....went here and Kevin has been the nicest most friendly person to work with.. even after the fact he was still willing to assist us and was so understanding. I got a used transmission from highway last week and I guess the used trans had some internal problems. But the good and fare team of Highway parts give me a full refund with in a weeks time after the failed transmission. After a disappointing visit to another recycler I went to Highway and picked up a rear door. They had exactly what they said and the part was in good condition. Service was prompt and respectful. THE GUY THAT GOES OUT AND TAKES THE PART OFF THE CAR IS OUTSTANDING AND MAKES YOU THAT ITS NO BOTHER TO REMOVE THE PART FOR YOU.

Went in on Saturday of Labor Day weekend to get a wheel for my car. The Roseville location didn’t have it, so I paid a deposit to have it brought in from their Ferndale store for pick up on Tuesday. I called around 2:00 on Tuesday, was told it wasn’t in but it would be. So I left work early so I could make sure I’d be able to pick it up, as I was assured it’d be in today. 10 minutes till close and it’s not in. Now I’m going to have to leave work early again (whenever it does come in) so I can pick it up.Staff: Don’t promise a delivery date that you can’t stick to.

Kevin and the boys were so helpful! They found my part at a great price, stayed late to give me the information I needed, and went above and beyond in their customer service. I highly recommend.

I agree with previous negative reviews about they raise the price when you stop at their location. It happened to me. Im not shopping from them anymore. Even they have no skills how respect customer or say thank you. There are many other locations which know how to do clean business with customers and respect.

My Saturn SL broke down and could no longer drive it. After getting a run around from other places I was recommended to give Highway auto a call. So, I called, they said they would call back in a hour from dispatch, which they did. I gave the address to where I would be at and set up a time to be at the house. Well four hours later I watch the flatbed drive right past my house. I get out in the middle of the road to see the driver keep driving, what a waste of time hopefully I get better luck in Southfield.

So we got water in the engine and needed a new one. My uncle who has connections here contacted Kevin to get us one. They send an engine to the shop for my car. After the engine is in they find out its a bad engine. So we pay an extra $900 in labor to have it torn out and yet another engine sent over. Kevin promises he will help cover some of the labor and promises $150. I ask him why so low when he is now costing me three times the labor just to have my continually worked on. He tells me he owes me nothing and doesnt have to reimburse me anything I mean I didnt buy the warranty for labor on their parts. Anyway after my wife goes out there to pick up the deposit on the engine, he gives her a $100 gift card to his shop. What the @#!$ dude!?!?! First that is not helping us! Secondly that is not the $150 he promised multiple times. I guess I will just use this gift card to pay my mortage or food. Oh wait its useless to me just like this companies service!

Must say, I spoke with Kevin yesterday for a price on a new axle rear end for my jeep. Fair price! Actually shocked me!! Ive been calling around like a crazy person. Ive never been here before but as a single mom Ive had my fair share of rude, men at yards who are disrespectful. Kevin wae great, and tommorow Im planning a trip there since Im a good 30mins to put down a deposit. And await its pull & pickup... Really enjoy all the good comments!!

I purchase 2 color matches doors and a fender for my Silverado from highway auto parts about 2 months ago, i was told that the doors are in perfect condition and “very good insurance quality parts”- Josh and that they will be shipped out the following day after purchased and will arrive in a week. So I wait a week and a half and didn’t get those parts so I call josh and he said they forgot to ship them out... I told him that’s fine just ship them out ASAP so he calls me back saying he needs $250 +dollars more for shipping when we agreed on $100 so now it’s $350. I already waited 2 weeks for these parts and now I have to pay $250 + for shipping. But I was like alright whatever since these parts are in really good condition and I won’t need to repaint them it’s worth it I guess. So I paid it then I finally get my parts... except they were horrible condition. The fender had 30+ dings on it and paint chips all over and the doors were scuffled up and scratches all over. So I call Josh back and he told me to text pictures of the parts to his number that was a fake number, then I call again and asked to be transferred to Josh and they transfer me and the call doesn’t go through, this is really unprofessional and Josh can’t man up to his mistakes and try to sort something out.

Recently my sisters husband passed after a long illness. I made a memorial box to hold his ashes. Joe was a complete Chevy fan so I wanted to put a bowtie emblem on the box to commemorate his love for the brand. The guys at Hiway were more than helpful with my request and donated the emblem to my project. Great thanks to the guys at Hiway for their help.

Actually went in for a headlamp wire harness connector. guys were quick and friendly and ended up with what i needed in 10 minutes or less.. and that ratrod in the showroom was killer!!

Horrible service parts do not get tested before they get sent out so pretty much if you buy apart like engine or transmission you wont find out if its good until you install it and not to mention they do not cover labor so if its bad you end up paying your mechanic for labor two times because they wont take any core back so youre a mechanic will have to put the transmission and then take it out because they want their original part even though theyre both messed up SMH!!!!!! And there are not straight up with you they give you the runaround tell you they have one in a different state than a week later they tell you its bad then they tell you there is one in a different city thats when I told him I just want my money back because if you days later theyre just going to call you and tell you oh its bad or make up something and waste your time no thank you I do not prefer this place at all please be careful buying parts from here I do not recommend them not even for a screw please be careful I just dont want this happening to somebody else but this place is nothing but a scam

Got what I wanted, workers there were bitter. Extremely rude as if I were bothering them. I wanted to see the part that I was purchasing, requesting to see it in person. However, I was told that “this is what it is going to look like” and they pulled up a low quality blurry image. As the customer, I feel as though they should cater better. They are being paid to help the customer, act like it.

Went to Highway Auto on April 29, 2019 for a pair of side view mirrors (for a 2000 Jeep Wrangler, which is a TJ). I checked their website 1st to ensure they had them, they did, and a reasonable price, so I went after work. They require a 20% nonrefundable deposit, which I paid and was told the mirrors were at their Ferndale location. They said that they would have them ready for me the next day and then proceeded to take my phone no. The next day, I received no call, so I went up after work anyway. A waste of gas and time, because they hadnt even taken the mirrors off of the vehicle in Ferndale. So I was told that they would be ready the next day.The following day no call, so instead of wasting my gas and time again I went home.Now it is May 2, 2019, I get my break at work and I call Highway Auto. They answer, I explain the situation, the response I got was, let me call and find out whats going on. So 2 hours later I see I missed a call, check the voice mail and its Highway Auto, the mirrors are in.I go after work to pick them up, the salesperson asked if I needed assistance, so I walked up and handed him my paperwork for the mirrors. He goes to get them out of the back, another salesperson tells me I see you got the message. The first salesperson cones back with them, and places them on the counter, looks at my paperwork again and states there is a $13.00 balance on that.As Im looking at the mirrors I realized they arent the right ones, these are for a JK which is not what I seen on their website, left a deposit for, or waited 3 days for!Needless to say because I need them, I just picked them up off the counter and walked out.They wasted enough of my time, their service in my opinion is totally unprofessional, they prices are reasonable if you actually get what you ask for, and their products, dont know if they are any good considering that I never got what I paid for, I recieved their substitution for a product they couldnt produce.I personally will not spend my hard earned money there again and will tell everyone about my experience.Update:I recieved a phone call this morning from Ross the manager at Highway Auto. Ross informed he that he would be there all day and would like the opportunity to correct the situation. I went up to Highway Auto and was greeted as soon as I entered. I was then told Ross was in the back and he would be up momentarily to speak with me. When we met, he was very sincere as he apologized for the incident and refunded my money, then he also gave me the correct mirrors absolutely free of charge. Im am very thankful to both the owner (who initially responded to my review) and Ross (the manager) at Highway Auto for acknowledging and correcting the situation. I am very satisfied with how professionally they handle this situation, and will continue to do business with them.
