Fantastic work, fair prices. My car looks as good as it did the day I got it. I cant say enough good things about the quality of work. I handed over a mess and got back a showroom quality car. This is definitely my go to shop, though I really hope I dont need to go back. This accident was enough for a long while!

Steve, Jim and Shannon are honest and helpful! Unfortunately we had an accident. The frame was bent and it needed some major work. Steve kept us up to date on parts and timing. Jim fixed the frame, thank goodness among many other parts and overall they helped guide us through the insurance process. This is the second vehicle we have brought to them and again, they were fair in pricing and honest with timing. We definitely recommend them. Hopefully we will not be needing more collision work performed but if we ever do, we absolutely will use J&L.

Jim, Heather and their crew are great people to deal with. They are truly customer oriented. Theyve painted my Dodge Viper and my Ram 2500 diesel after hitting a deer. They do amazing work at great prices. They always want your car fixed correctly and you leaving happy. I wouldnt go any where else.

I have used J and L twice for car accidents in my family. They communicate well and even have free loaner cars to use while your car is worked on. Steve and Shannon take the time to explain the issues with your car as well. Hope to not see them again but would highly recommend!Update...another vehicle brought in a couple of weeks ago due to a fender bender. Steve and Shannon again are top-notch with communication and efficiency. If you live in southern Macomb or Grosse Pointe you are crazy if you dont go here.

Did they change owners? I have been here before and was helped by a woman, possibly the owners wife. She was extremely helpful but the man I spoke to on the phone today was not. I called and inquired about a headlight change because my car needs to have the bumper taken off to change the headlight. The man would not even give me a ballpark estimate of how much they charge to change a headlight. He just kept telling me to bring it in, bring it in so he can see it, which is usually a technique mechanics use to get you in and jack up the price. Dude, its a headlight....on a car. Youve seen a million of them. Its not broken. Its not shorting out. It just needs to be changed. Why cant you give me an estimate to change a light bulb? Sounds shady....

Professional show quality work at a reasonable price

I brought 2 different vehicles on 2 separate occasions to get work done at their shop. They did an exceptional job with both vehicles. They also understand the 3 major concepts of any good business. Great customer service, great value and great product. I am very appreciative of their hard work and dedication.

Jim and Heather, the owners do an absolutely outstanding job! This place is operated with old fashioned values. Outstanding workmanship, repairs done right the first time, genuine concern for the customer and their needs. Honesty and Integrity are the guiding principles here. They never try to sell you something you dont need, they do their best to give the customer options whenever possible. I had so many problems with my 2008 Nissan until I started bringing my car to J & L Collision. They fixed the problem with one trip. Heather is awesome and they provide great prices. This company is for the people unlike other places that try to take your money. If you have any issues they are always willing to assist. I must say that the turn around time is extremely fast. I took my car in and Heather immediately called with the problem. I was able to pick my car up on the same day. Wonderful car repair facility. They give you an honest rundown of whats wrong your car and they dont price gouge. They are easy to talk to and keep you informed if the job will require anything else or if they run into another problem.

I went here to get my window fix after it was accidentally knocked off track. Price was very reasonable. They were very nice and professional. They have the cleanest/comfy waiting area i have ever seen in an auto shop. I will definitely come here again.

Very honest and trustworthy business. My first car was rebuilt by Jim and still runs beautifully to this day. My transmission in my truck was also rebuilt here and is perfect 3 years/30,000+ miles later. If you want people who are honest,respectful, and will work with you, this is the place.

I had to take a moment to tell of my awesome experience with J & L Collison! Needless to say after hitting a deer; not only was my car wrecked but I was a emotional wreck! A friend had recommended J&L so I had my car towed there. I was immediately contacted by the owners wife Heather who was very sympathetic and assured me that I was in good hands. From there I was told I would be contacted when I could pick up my car!! “ Wait!, What?? What about the insurance?? Heather assured me that they will take care of all that mess and get me back on the road in no time”. I was so happy that this business took this hassle out of my hands. I first heard of J&L on WMUZ years ago. I liked their commercials and remembered them. When my windshield shattered I took my car to J&L. They could have charged the top, instead they searched for a windshield for me, quality and low priced. They treated me as if I was family and they were doing all they could to save ME money. I began taking my car there for mechanical work and again, they were so honest, so kind, and empathized with me while working with me on giving me the best price. I had them work on 2 insurance claims for collision for me and what I love is they work on my behalf. If they needed to go to the insurance company for supplemental work, they did it -- whatever I needed, they worked to get it for me. Windshield, Mechanical, Collision - WOW and WOW -- they do it all!!!!!!!! I have worked with many repair shops, including dealerships -- none compare with what Jim and Heather will do for you. We brought our Jeep Renegade in for a bumper replacement. Also brought them used tires for it and they put them on for us. We were pleasantly surprised that they detailed the inside, and they even replaced a burnt bulb free of charge. Great service.

These guys are wonderful! The first time I went in there just to ask some questions and get a quote and they had me pull around back, then started pouring water on my car to see where it was leaking in at! I couldnt believe that they never even met me before and were willing to go to such lenghts to help me out. So eventually I ended up getting some body work done that I originally went there for in the first place and they had it done in three days! Mind you, it wasnt​ a substantial amount of work, but it was very nice to have my car back quickly so I didnt have to worry and the work was truly exceptional. This family owned shop is so much worth while, they have very reasonable prices and the extra effort they put forth making you happy and going the extra length for you is completely worth going to for your auto needs, you will never get that kind of attention at any of these corporate shops.

Gave me a free loaner, and fixed my car completely. I didnt have to worry or hear from them repeatedly, they contacted my insurance and notified me of all repairs on pick up. Heather is a sweet genuine person, and she had my jaguar detailed in and out.

I was involved in an accident back in July, I spoke with Heather and Jim to see if they would work on it. Jim and his workers made my car look brand new. I put all of my time and money into my car and when i crashed it i was devastated, Jim literally made it drive like a new car off the lot. I was scammed out of money and service by a mechanic from a different company, but J and L rescued me and fixed my vechicle. They provided awesome service. Heather kept in contact with me to keep me updated. They do exactly what they say they are going to do. I would recommend them to anyone for good quality service by good people.

As a broke college student, I dont have lots of money to spend on car repairs. Im weary of taking my car to repair shops because many of them will try to sell you something you dont need and overcharge you for the things you do. J&L collision, however, is a different story. After a recent accident, I brought my car to J&L to have my frame and steering system inspected. Instead of just telling me what was wrong, the mechanic Jim brought me out to the garage and showed me exactly where the damage was. J&L collision is an honest and respectable business, and the prices are always fair. Jim and the receptionist Heather are pleasant to work with, and as stated in other reviews, they really do treat you like family. It is for all of these reasons that I will continue coming back to J&L, and I recommend anyone in need of car work to do the same.
