Having complained about the cars transmission, this guy did a very very very bad job for me. My car was still sure of moving by taking it to him. Now after taking it to him for fixing, the car absolutely has stopped moving- its motionless. All this after paying him over 2k dollars for repairs. Now he wants me to pay to fix dbsame transmission I complained about by. This is kind of dubious ibguess

Went to make an appointment for a brakes check. They gave me the first slot the very next morning. By mid day the work was done - everything I had anticipated and nothing more. They didnt try to squeeze in anything else but I will certainly be back. Everyone was really pleasant to deal with, it was quick and my car feels great and drives better than ever. Wont waste my time going to the dealership anymore. They dont compare to this shop for customer service!

Worst experience of my car having life owner was rude. I went in with one problem and left with a new problem and to add insult to injury they changed the price on me 3x never in my life. Then you guys go and make my car even more dangerous I have two kids and my wheels are locking on me for no reason mind you that wasn’t what was wrong with my car.. I didn’t get money back or problem fixed very unhappy very upset customer never will I ever come back or give a reference

If ever you have a car that needs any kind of attention I can assure you that you will have the best, most professional people to take care of your car. Went here due to receiving a reasonable quote for a lengthy job needing to be done. Once the job was completed I was called with a higher price than originally given. Accepted the fact that the work was “necessary” for job completion. Went to pick up my car only to be greeted by an extremely rude and unprofessional manager. I am completely and utterly dissatisfied with customer service SO MUCH so that I will NOT be returning here.

Just purchased a vehicle. Brought it to AAMCO. Jack and his team are great. They checked out the whole car for me and let me know that all it needed was a new battery because the one that was in there was really old. Thanks for the great service.

The bottom line: Although I didnt make the original departure with the rest of the families, it has to be said that Jack and Dennis and their team went above and beyond to get me on the road that Wednesday (see full story below). Both Jack and Dennis did their best to keep me updated and even though Im sure I was a bit annoying calling them for updates, they stayed professional and to the point at all times. Their price was more than fair and they were up front with me before they did the work. Even though they are a bit far from me, theyve more than earned a repeat customer.The Story: I found out that my RV was not shifting properly 7 days before my family was set to head out with 3 other families on a 5-day camping trip. It just so happened that I discovered the problem on the 4th of July (2019). This was a Thursday, so naturally everyone was closed and many shops were closed that Friday as well. Friday I called every shop within a 10 mile radius. Although Aamco was closed, Jack, the owner did pick up the phone and spoke to me for a few minutes to help talk through the problem. He was more than willing to take it in but confessed they were closed and wouldnt be able to touch it until the following Monday.In desperation I passed on his offer and kept calling; eventually finding a place less than a mile from my house that was willing to look at the RV that Friday. Turned out that the local shop jerked me around Friday, Saturday and was not able to find the problem and then on Monday said they couldnt touch it again until that Thursday (a day after I was supposed to leave for the camping trip). Frustrated I called around some more and then called Jack back. His offer still stood and was able to look at it that afternoon.Once Jack had it, he and Dennis jumped right in and began troubleshooting all afternoon Monday and again most of the day Tuesday and after checking the continuity of every wiring harness related to the transmission, finally discovered that the ECU (or PCM in this case) had failed causing the transmission to go into limp-mode. With the pressure mounting to make my departure, Dennis did everything he could to get the new PCM delivered, installed and reprogrammed but unfortunately for me, it was not in the cards, at no fault to Dennis or his team. Racking his brain that night, Dennis took a fresh look at it Wednesday morning and found the issue and ultimately got me on the road early that afternoon, only 6 hours after my originally scheduled departure. When you find an honest mechanic, hold on for dear life and hope they never change locations or retire. These guys are amazing honest to the last drop and wont gouge you. They know their stuff and they get it done right, quick, and at a great price. Look nowhere else.

I have been going to Jack and his AAMCO for about 2 years now and I am so thankful that my previous shop wasnt able to do a repair I needed which forced me to go out and try Jacks AAMCO. They do everything, and they do it right and at the right price for top of the line service. My wife and I both know that with Jack we are in trustworthy and caring hands. He has always gone above and beyond with us at taking care of our two cars.

I was having some car problems and my check engine light came on. I took my car here to have it looked at. Within a short time, the team looked into my vehicle, identified that the issue was with the transmission, and told me that my car should still be under warranty to have the transmission fixed. Now, the best part, they did not even charge me to look into the problem. They stated, I dont want to take your money. Very nice people, very highly recommend.

I had two issues with my car happen one after another. Both trips to the shop, the manager was very friendly, and went way above and beyond to help me, including staying after closing so I would have time to come pick up my car. I wouldnt hesitate to use them again when the time arises, and will recommend others to use them as well.

My car broke down on my way back to Florida and I was so distraught and thought I would have to spend thousands on getting my car fixed. The guys from Aamco in Roselle Park, New Jersey got my car fixed quick and it only cost me a few hundreds dollars. I’m back in Florida and my car is running better than ever. I have a 2008 Ford Explorer. Suddenly my reverse stopped working. Transmission had to be replaced. I explored many recommendations, Aamco came out on top. Decided to use this location based on reviews an multiple phone conversations. Glad I did. The guidance, updates, reassurance, patience, financial assistance, and customer relations was the best. Not knowing if I was doing the right thing, I felt very comfortable with the recommendation. Jack initiated the follow-thru, Dennis walked me thru every step of the way...no nonsense just straight talk and completed the work. Even gave a follow-up call to check on how the truck was running and explained if I should have any problems, call immediately. And scheduled a follow up to check on everything in 2 weeks!!!. So pleased so far.THANK YOU DENNIS!!!. THE cost was more than I was prepared for, but Dennis made it happen in minutes....

Dennis was very disrespectful and curse at me. Dennis is the old man that works at the front desk. I drop my vehicle off to get A rebuilt transmission.The owner Jim told me that he thought something was wrong with the shifter they day I drop it off but they had to check it. We I can the next day Jim said it was something small when they checked and he would not charge me to fix it. A few days later when my vehicle was done and ready to be picked up Dennis called me and ask was I paying cash and charge me an additional $500. After I told him the owner didnt tell me that he start curse and said he will break something on my truck if I didnt pay for the additional services that i didnt agree too and the owner Jim said was nothing wrong. Do not take your car here because they will give you one price and later which its done they will charge for different repairs that you did not agree to. I have the whole conversation recorded with Dennis saying he will break something on my truck..Please save yourself the trouble and find another company.

I was very upset with there service. I took my vehicle on Saturday to make an appointment and let them know my problem. I informed them I purchased a warranty for my vehicle and it should cover it. I would not have a problem paying a deductible. I dropped my car Monday morning and advised another person working there I had been there to have my windshield wipers fixed because they had stopped working. I informed him all my warranty papers are in the glove box even though the owner had already told me to come back on Monday Im already on there system.I get the call at 5pm and they inform me that my warranty will not cover the job. Never the less they did the job without informing me of this. They had told me they had checked out the warranty before they did the job and told me they accept this warranty. I feel they took advantage of my situation and charge me $332.00 without informing me first that the warranty would not cover the job or what it would cost. They didnt even replace the windshield wipers motor but I was charged $ 332 for this. And they said we also changed your back light bulb no charge! I am upset with this AAmco and it is new here in town . I have been living in this town for years and I am going to make sure everyone in my area knows that we know have a rip off auto center here in our small town. The last business that was there closed because they did the same thing and our town found out so no one supported them again. Terrible way to do business specially since your new in town.

I took my car here for an oil change and they tried to coerce me into paying for a $900 rear main seal replacement. My car was perfectly fine. Bad business. Dont go here or you will be paying $110/hour for labor and parts you dont even need. Very unprofessional

I usually dont care enough to post negative comments since life is short and there is so much to do. But...I could not let this slide. I called the center on 10/31/2018 at appx. 1230pm. To owner: check who held that shift that day and train them better. Wanted to ask about cost of routine oil change for a typical car. Nothing fancy. As I was asking about the oil type and cost and appointment while the guy suddenly Interrupted me, saying that hes too busy to talk to me and hung up. I called back and in the middle of asking my question he hung up again. I have no idea the cost nor the type of oil they use. Since I dont have this basic info to consider doing business with this Aamco on westfield ave in Roselle park, nj I will not commit to them as a customer. Web site does not reveal any of this basic info either....as if its a secret they keep to themselves until its too late for the customer to reject their service, once tricked. Called Mavis on westfield ave in Roselle park, nj. They were upfront with me and told me everything I needed to know to make a decision about my oil change. Use them instead of this Aamco shop! Dont risk getting tricked.

If I had read the bad comments I would not have wasted my time, its a shame that people who trust your vehicle just cheat, I went to make a diagnosis to my car and they determined that I needed to change a motor support (from 5 one) but They never told me where that support was and that it was also necessary to put a joint to the transmission that for that reason my car had an annoying sound so surprise !! The car continues with the same sound, the truth will not return to that place. I paid 718.00 for this and Ill have to find another mechanic.

I usually dont like to rate so poorly even for bad service, but my experience here almost as though I had been duped. I went in for a transmission diagnostic check. Spent $95 only to be told that there MIGHT be something internal and that the procedure to check would cost me over $900. Now I understand transmission work is very pricey, provided the issue is found, so as you can understand $900+ for a maybe isnt something I would want to pay for. I did witness the mechanic drive the car, and check for any computer codes, however I did not see the mechanic put my car on a lift (to see if leaks were present, to see if there are physical signs of damage to the exterior of the transmission area) as i was there the entirety of the check. I also requested a copy of the packet that was made based on the findings of the mechanic including codes that the computer found, and the gentleman at the desk was very hesitant to provide me that information. I dont know if it is in their policy, but I havent been to a shop that didnt/wouldnt provide me a copy of the diagnostic check. Instead I recieved a copy of my receipt and what I assume was the checklist the mechanic had, that provided little information .Unfortunately I will not be returning to this location for future repairs.

Clients beware! They hike up prices on parts ordered by them. I had a bad experience at this location several weeks ago. The part that i needed to repair my air conditioning problem cost alot less at the nissan dealer than ordering it thru them. They overcharge for labor too. Total ripoff! Theres better shops in the area.
