Clayton Homes Rocky Mount has patient and great customer service. They were helpful throughout the entire process of purchasing. From the beginning to the end. The manager Tony answered any questions that you have. They are not pushy. They are honest and extremely knowledgeable. A great selection of homes. If its not on the lot, theres more. Check online and ask them. Tony, Mike, Carla were so nice and helpful and even after we moved in, they are still helpful. I highly recommend that you go see them.

We went there a few weeks ago. With a smile we were greeted by Fred Bishop. Fred was professional, yet personable, knowledgeable, was able to answer all of our questions, but was NOT pushy. We will be back.On a side note, we also met with the sales manager Tony Joyner. He was equally friendly and knowledgeable as Fred. My husband and I had visited the Garner area location and we were extremely disappointed, with the service and the models visited. The staff wasnt welcoming and we felt rushed, as they walked with us from room to room in the 2 models we visited. Wed decided not to consider Clayton Homes. However, months later, we decided to chance it one more time because we loved the models shown online; but we visited the Rocky Mount location. This experience was COMPLETELY different. From the moment we walked in, we felt welcome. Fred met us at the door and was one of the nicest people wed ever met. He offered us refreshments and handed us the master key and told us to look around as long as we wanted. It was raining that day, unexpectedly...to me; he noticed we had no umbrella so he offered us one. We stayed and toured and fell in love with more than a few. Once we returned to the leasing office, we felt no pressure from Fred. He just asked if we saw anything we liked; we told him we saw a few and he said to come back anytime to complete paperwork or to take a second look. No pressure, no pushy sales tactics, just good customer service. And so we did go back, more than a few times and finally were able to narrow down our list to 2. We went through the paperwork with Tony and Fred and a few weeks later, realized the paperwork fell through and we were not able to get the top choice. We were extremely disappointed but Fred had offered another that was comparable to that one. We visited that one and fell in love with that one too. And now were in our home!! We started the process in May and moved in in November. We could have possibly moved in sooner, but we had to have land cleared and start from scratch (land clearing, installation of septic, new electricity, etc.). Tony, Fred and Megan (with the mortgage/lending company) kept us updated every step of the way and had the greatest of patience. Everything they said theyd do, they did. Once we moved in, there were some hiccups with the actual house. We called Carla at Clayton, she scheduled service and they were there and all of the issues we had, have now been corrected. They didnt just move us in, get their money, and change. I would DEFINITELY recommend Clayton Homes for service, quality, professionalism and style. We are SO HAPPY!!!

My family and I lost our home and all of our belongings to a house fire this past December 2018. When Mike Ferrell met me I believe I was still an emotional wreck from the trauma. He and all of the staff made me feel like I had hope and helped me immediately. Tony Joyner, Mike’s sales mgr was very willing to work with me as I’m on a fixed income. My home was delivered to the lot one week after I put a deposit down and I also closed. They all looked out for me because of my recent loss and made me feel like they cared. I wasn’t just any customer. Communication was excellent and I have and will continue to recommend this Clayton Homes store. I stay within ten miles of the Clayton Homes here but Mike was determined to get me in a home I loved. I had a 32x80 and was skeptical about singlewide homes. Downsizing hurt me but the Anniversary Plus made all the fear and hurt disappear. Well worth the 45 minutes drive to Rocky Mount. God has blessed me and this place of business. I dont know why the negative review. This is a wonderful place to deal with. The employees are extremely caring. They stuck by me in my time of crisis and went out on a limb for me. Trust me they care.

My husband and I recently had the opportunity to work with Clayton Home of Rocky Mount in our home buying process. From the time we first entered their lot, Fred was nothing but welcoming. He was not obtrusive or hovering. In fact he told us to just have a look and he would be happy to answer any questions we had. We did find a home we were interested in and in fact applied for funding. At no time did we feel pressured to do so, but you do have to start somewhere so that was an obvious step. In the end we ended up not purchasing the home (no fault of Clayton homes), our experience with Fred and Tony the manager were nothing but positive. They were helpful and gave us a lot of useful information. They were also very understanding when we decided not to purchase. I would absolutely go there again should we decide to move forward in the future.

Have had several friends that have bought homes from Clayton...the most recent from a coworker that lost her home in a fire. I had suggested she talk to them at Clayton, unaware that she had already. She told me several times how pleased she was with the deal she got and the service from Ron and is enjoying her home very much!

I purchased my home in 2013. I was a first time home owner and was so excited. It was the worst experience ever. I was lied to and mislead by the salesman. It took forever for repairs to be done and the brick work looks awful. Now five years later the lies are still hunting me. I was told why it was better to finance with VMF which is Clayton Homes. My mortgage insurance according to them would drop after five years versus ten years with another bank I was already approved with. Now the five years is here, it was all a lie according to VMF. The experience was so bad I wouldn’t refer anyone to them for the money they offer. I would not wish this experience on anyone. The company called for a survey after a certain time period. I told them about all the problems I had and no one addressed them or apologized to me.

Pushy and when we would not fill out an application they were rude to the point that even though we found a home we wanted we went someplace else and got something different. Attitudes can make and break a deal!!

Worst experience buying a home. The finishing work was terrible. The floor is bulging in several places. The doors leak! Weve called to schedule a time for things to be fixed and nobody returns the calls. Its been months and the company has yet to fix the issues.

Representative was friendly and answered all my questions.

Even though I ended up purchasing a conventional built home, I would purchase a Clayton home as a investment property.

I been in my home for 10yrs,and im constantly fixing stuff that shouldoff been done right the first time, there builders are none professional, the ceiling is done very poorly, and many other things that is just to many to write about, so totally unsatisfied with the building quality for the price of the product.

I am sorry to read all the reviews about the terrible finishing of the homes but Patrick Sullivan has been nothing but heaven sent since the beginning. Weve only been in the home for 6 months but if I need anything he responds and schedules an appointment ASAP. Thanks Pat!!!

We been in our home two years and it not worth the money you paid for . Everything look good until you get in and start asking them to fix it.It is falling apart.Wall are so thin you can hear everything is going on in there room and from outside.It is just not good quality
