This is one of the few places I still go in at Golden East, mostly just to look around, they have a good variety of products but prices arent that great. The coffee place is ok.

Clean and neatly organized. The sales associates are helpful but not irritating. Great selection.

Nice quiet environment to shop and or read a nice book. They have the best selection of books in the area. Also a nice place to stop for coffee.

Granted, I love bookstores, it should come as no surprise I like this one. Its the best bookstore Ive found in the area. In addition to the books, it has a good selection of educational toys for young children, reusable bags, and gifts.And I always find the employees friendly, patient, and helpful.

Always a busy store. I dont agree with you letting customers come in and read the material that someone else is going to purchase.

Please fix the a.c....this place is always hot and miserable, I dont care what time of the year it is. Its been this way for years now. And I feel bad because Im always rushing my daughter when we come to BAM because of it. Store is nice as well as the staff.

I personally love books a million. They have a wide selection of books, including magazines and books for young children. They also feature a cafe with drinks to suit anybodys taste! Theres also more to it than books! You can find small knick knacks, board games, plushies, and other fun items. 10/10, I go often!

This is a lost treasure in todays society. No one actually needs anything here with current technology, but the vibe was good.

Books are a bit pricey but I bought 6 adult books and 3 childrens books and became a member ($25) and it came up to $135.00.

Couldnt find what I was looking for. Ended up ordering waht I needed online.

Im giving it three stars but I do really like going there for the wide variety of books and other things they sell there.Like the action figures and posters, I got this pretty great wonder woman wall decor there.Though there cash registers tend to be wonky, last time I went there I had to buy my books over at the cafe part.Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

The staff is very knowledgeable of the inventory, especially childrens books and teacher/educational materials. I truly enjoy the atmosphere of the store; you can quietly sit to peruse books and material at your leisure 🦋. BAM also has a Teacher Discount program. How sweet is that?

Great customer service and wide selection of magna and other books and gifts. Love getting hot tea while I stroll around. Only negative for me is that they decreased their science fiction and fantasy section which is my favorite genre.

I could live at most bookstores, so of course I like BAM. Coffee there not too bad, either!

Fun place to come and hang out I go just about every weekend. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Friendly to Trading card players and D&D/Pathfinder players. Not a place to just drop off kids because staff will not drop their task to watch your kid. But staff is still caring. Joe Mugs is brilliant with the best staff I have met in all the years I have been going there. Prices are ok but can feel a bit high at times. If you plan to be a regular I suggest subscribing for the membership club for great deals and savings that really will help your pockets.

I visit Rocky Mount several times a year on my way to Northampton County. Rural NC can be somewhat of a book desert, and BAM is quite an oasis. It has a huge selection overall, but I am most pleasantly surprised with their graphic novel choices (many on sale!) and their breathtakingly diverse magazine options. I mean this magazine section is LONG. Longer than any other Ive seen, and I am not exaggerating. The staff was friendly, but largely left you alone, which I like. Overall, great store.

Awesome experience. They had a rude customer who was skipping lines and making a fuss. They opened up other registers and were very apologetic. I never have a bad experience here.

The B.A.M here is pretty homey. Has a nice café and snacks too. Think library but better. I mostly go to stock up for D&D. Slightly pricey, but amazing.
