Fun course with great people. Renovating the tees for better future play.

Great staff. Always friendly and very accommodating. Facilities are nice. And the course is challenging enough for high and low handicappers alike. Greens are in good shape. Fairways are well kept. No complaints.

Good track! Challenging layout that makes you think about how to attack the hole. 611-yard par 5 is brutal!! April freeze hit them pretty hard with some winter kill.

Staff was super friendly and very informative. Had a cart lock up on me and they came out and fixed it in no time. Driving range is in great condition. Tee boxes are under construction which is really the only downer to the course at the moment. Very nice course but for someone who is a beginner golfer it is a little more difficult than other courses. So it is 100% the nicest course I have player.

Course was in great shape! We had a tournament there today, shotgun start 8am. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Course played pretty short from the blue tees and a few of the par 3s where very short. 3 par 5s that where nice and a drivable par 4 327 that I hit and stuck it 12ft from the pin. Shot of my life hahaha overall deffinanlty would play again!

Fairways plush, greens are lush. Staff is superb. No reason not to play here. Well worth the drive.

Golf carts are not equipped with range or updated course info. Nothing. Bring a range finder. 2nd cut is high. Fairways are great.

Course is having some challenges with fairways and greens. I called and complained. David (the gm) was very apologetic and explained the complications they were having. He addressed my concerns and although it may take some time for course to be in tip top shape, I have no doubt they will do it.

One of my favorite courses in DFW, challenging layout but that makes it fun even for a beginner. Driving Range is also one of my favorites.

Scratch handicap review:Excellent golf track with very well laid out/ designed holes. No hole is simple and without character or nuance, very difficult to to. Green were BLAZING fast today, 11 or 12 stimp on a few of them- no joke. Challenging and windy was up today adding to the days challenge. At the rate, great staff and with the fantastic chipping putting area, its a 4.5 star total rating, well done guys.

Very very accommodating for my bachelor party. Much appreciated. And had an absolute amazing time at Buffalo Creek. Would recommend 10 out of 10 to anyone looking to golf in Plano/Rockwall area.

I have golfed at Buffalo creek since 2012 and love the course. It is the perfect amount of challenging but still nice enough to enjoy. They maintain the course well and it always looks nice!

The course itself was in pretty good shape, turf was full, grass was well taken care of. Driving range was very chewed-up, basically no grass. We teed off around 4:30, twilight costs about $38 and came with a very small bag of balls to warm up which was nice, but the main rating for 3 stars is the layout of the course which was not terribly fun. Some holes seemed very gimmicky and punishing unnecessarily. Overall it was a decent experience, but there are many courses I would rather play before returning to Buffalo Creek.

Great improvement to course and carts. Fairways and greens are excellent! The young staff of men and women were very friendly and helpful (very refreshing). The advance guys were great by welcoming you to the course and set up of golf bag on cart.Please keep up the good work.

I play weekly with a group of guys, weve been playing various courses in the DFW area all summer. By far the experience we had here was top notch from arrival to our leaving. Great advance staff, great clubhouse staff, great all around staff period. The course was in awesome shape from #1 to #18. 👍👍

Its been years since I played Buffalo Creek but I have played there three times in the last few weeks. Overall the course is in great shape from tee box to fairways to greens. Pace of play on Sundays have been just a shade over four hours. Plus senior rates are hard to beat.

Greens were being airated, bunkers being replace (currently gravel with mounds of sand laying nearby), tee boxes being replaced to where each tee is in the tee box closest to the tee. There was nothing said about any of this in advance and they were still charging full price. Overall a ridiculous outing.

You can tell that they have done some serious renovations in recent weeks. Consistency of the greens was almost identical hole to hole. Thoroughly enjoyed my round this morning.

Love playing Buffalo Creek, it was a great course to learn on when I was a kid

Love this course, and they are very reasonable about letting you have your own cart as a single player during a pandemic, where most courses Ive played at havent been. I think the only down side is the bunkers are very difficult because the sand is too soft.

I wish I knew I was paying full price to play golf in a construction zone.

No alcohol sales currently. Greens need to be cut shorter, they are very long.Fairways in great shape. Could be awesome course with shorter grass on greens

Beautiful golf course!

This has become my home course and it is enjoyable to play here. Enough of a challenge for me as a beginner golfer. The course fairways and greens are maintained pretty well. The only issue I have is that the bunkers do not have sand in them. They are hard pack with weeds growing in many of them. So much potential for this course if they were to take a bit better care of it.

Showed up with our 2 groups of golfers that use the Avid Golfer passbook. This course is in the 2020 passbook. Buffalo Creek did not honor the passbook. We were told there were new owners. Beware to others before they book a tee time at Buffalo Creek. Poor excuse.

Theyve done a 180 with the course. Its in great condition only downside is there trying to make the golfer pay for all the improvements in 1 year with there rates.

I have enjoyed playing the course for the past several years. They have recently changed managers. Very unfriendly. Treats you like he’s doing you a favor by letting you play. The marshals have started harassing the players about speed of play when it’s not necessary. I am considering changing courses.

Had this rated as three stars due to the terrible shape of the bunkers and tee boxes, but the last several times Ive played Ive noticed a huge improvement. Whoever is running the show is making strides and getting this place back to where it was ten years ago.Only thing keeping it from five stars is the price. Need better week day twilight rates to keep up with other local courses that also offer decent course conditions.

Great course. Greens were a little rough and pace of play slowed down towards the second half of the round.

Mostly wide open play. Difficult enough for an intermediate player but not so difficult that a beginner will feel overwhelmed. The pro-shop is well stocked and the staff is friendly and knowledgeable. It is somewhat out of the way to get to, but worth the drive and reasonably priced.

Horrible horrible!!!I wouldnt recommend this course to anyone!!!Without any notices from the starter, on 16th hole all tee markers were gone, no flag on the green.. so distracting tractors on the bunker right next to the green on 17th hole. So we went up to the starter to let them know the terrible experiences we just had and maybe we were just expecting a simple apology from them.Well, the manager was too tied up to come out and talk to us and the female starter(supposed to be teaching pro there) was yelling and telling us to go play one more hole and she didnt want to communicate with us in a courteous way.Buffalo creek golf couse!!!Farewell!!!Well never come back to play at your place,ever!!!

Ive always loved the layout of this course but conditions are mediocre at best. Tees, fairways and rough are decent. Greens are painfully slow and pretty bumpy. The bunkers are unplayable. They are dried out mud pits with no sand and full of weeds. Yikes.Edit: The above review is from 2 years ago. I hadnt been here since the new owners upped the greens fees. I decided to pony up the money to come play. I booked over the phone and no mention of course construction was mentioned. When I arrived, the guy in the pro shop was very friendly but, again, no mention of renovations underway as he charged me full price. Seven of the tee markers were on the ladies box (the mens tee boxes were torn up for reno) and a number of bunkers closed for reno. The fairways and greens were in good shape for the most part and the rest visit was enjoyable. To the new owners: if you are going to charge full price for a course under construction, at least tell people what to expect. Yikes.

Played here the week before Christmas and it was nice. Bit pricey for winter rounds though. And 2 carts died on us. Once they do upkeep on carts its easily 4 stars.

One of my favorite course designs. Challenging but also beginner friendly with the different tee options. New management has taken over and the course already looks way better! Oh, and the new carts just arrived!!!

Nice course. Fairly wide open, a few holes are challenging, but I lost my pitching wedge last Sunday, but didnt find out until Saturday. Club house staff kept it safe and I was able to retrieve it with no issue.

Cart path only on a course that is completely dead. All fairways are dead rough is dead and it was cart path only for some reason? And to top it all off Fing 70$ round in the winter! Never play here thieves!

Best layout in Dallas. From the tips, one of the hardest and longest courses in DFW. Greens are big and fast. Great range and practice area as well. Usually not crowded, but may want to call ahead and make sure there is no tournament.

Great little neighborhood golf course. I just drive the cart, but hubby and friends play weekly. Players club lets them get discounts and free balls for the range. Lovely place to play.

Interesting layout and challenging design, but a terrible experience. This course is beautiful and one of the best public courses in the DFW area. Local non-golfing residents driving their personal golf carts on the course and using the cart path as a dog walking and jogging trail were a frequent distraction. One resident went so far as to scold me for addressing my ball as he drove his golf cart the wrong way up the cart path. I will not be playing here in the future, which is a shame because it is a great course.

Loved the layout of the course. Great design and fantastic homes around it.Bunkers were completely unplayable and the greens were in rough shape... We gave up on #16 because of the slow pace of play and left.

It is a great layout. But the conditions are not very good for the price. The bunkers are horrible. They rope off much more of the fairway than they should even when perfectly dry - for no reason.

This is a great layout. Challenging. Staff are great. BUT the traps are a joke, dont even think about hitting from them. Break your club or your hand.

Practice greens were in poor condition, unable to use to gauge course greensSand traps are worst that I have ever seen. They have not been maintained in what appears to be years.Greens were manageable, just slow.Tee boxes and fairways were reasonably maintained. Rough was thick and challenging.I was unable to book my tee time online through your website and the person in the clubhouse checking people in would not honor the online price that you had posted. I had to go to another site to book my tee time.I will not play this course again until the condition of the course is significantly improved. There is no way that the regular price should be $49 to play golf in this condition. There are so many courses in the DFW area that are in much better condition and cost less.

I grew up playing at Buffalo from junior high through college and for many years after. Before the course officially opened, Tom Weiskopf gave a tour of the course hole by hole which I was privileged and thankful to take part in. Long story short, I have quite a bit of history at this course.Fast forward through the ownership changes and remodeling debacle and what you have now is a glorified municipal course.For a course as nice as this was, the decision to put fake mats on the driving range and force their use blows my mind. Golf is not played off of mats, it’s played on grass.Not knowing there was a corporate mandate to use the mats, I went through my usual practice routine, got about 20 balls in, and a 20 year old stops to tell me Im not permitted to hit off the grass on the range, only driver off the grass. ??? Ok so I get upset, throw all my balls in the sand trap next to the driving range, and when I get down there...no white fluffy sand. Clay and hard hard packed sand that hadn’t been raked in months or more.I trudged through my bunker session and headed to the practice green to find them running at about 5 or 6 on the stimp and 75% of the practice green was unusable due to a large and inexplicable re-sod.Next time I go, I tell the guy in the shop I’d like to head down to the bottom of the range to hit balls...mind you I have been hitting balls down there for over 20 years. Quite confused by my request, he begrudgingly hands me the keys to a cart and I head down.10 balls in “sir please move your cart off the tee box”...again, 20 plus years no issue with carts on the box...I comply and go back to my session. Five minutes later another guy shows up and tells me the area is restricted and I have to leave.You got your wish Buffalo...never again.

While I liked the layout of the course, the staff (with a couple exceptions) were awful. When we arrived, no carts were available. At fifteen minutes before our round, we were given a cart (which we had to clean out ourselves). This cart died before we reached the first hole. We received a second cart that lasted until the 13th hole. We called the clubhouse who said they would send someone with a replacement cart. No one ever came. The other twosome in our group thankfully used their cart to push ours up the hills it would no longer climb so we could finish the round. After we finished (comically being pushed up to the shop) the guy working didnt seem concerned. He eventually offered one weekday round (there were two of us in the cart). After some argueing, he begrudgingly hand wrote on a sheet of paper that we could have a weekend round (since that was when we actually played and live an hour away). I wont be back.

Course was in descent shape but i dont understand why they cant put sand in there bunkers. Is this just an American golf thing. It should be a $40. Course at best.

Horrible management. Im giving them two stars because I enjoy the course. Ive been here twice with corporate events in front that take 6-7 hours. The front desk never informs us when they schedule a corporate event in front of the public.Wont be back!

Sorry, but the course is terribly managed. The people that work here were all very nice and polite, but management was borderline comical. This was apparent to every golfer onsite.On a Sunday, 1 person working pro shop, 1 cart boy. There were 15 people waiting for carts 30mins after their tee times. It took us almost 25mins just to check in.Course was in bad shape from the driving range to the greens. The fairways werent bad, but the greens hadnt been cut and had different lengths of grass.Its a nice layout, but they are obviously not putting the money back into the course.

Ive played BC twice in the past two months after being out of the area for 8 years. BC used to be a premium course with good service and a very well maintained course. Now, the customer service is only adequate, but more importantly the course was not in great shape. Greens were spotty and the bunkers were in terrible shape. The pace of play was horrible also over five hours for each round. no marshals and starter. One time we ended up playing the front twice because when we made the turn there were three groups on the 10th waiting to tee off (two groups decided to start on 10) I dont think Ill be back which is a shame because I live close to the course.

It is a ok course needs better people running it and needs to be in better conditions.

Great course, HORRIBLE MANAGEMENT! 5....yes FIVE groups on hole 2....then 3, then 4...Im sitting on the tee box on number 8 writing this review and theres a group on the green and one in front of us waiting to hit. ALWAYS slow here...and the pro shop doesnt care. The Marshall says its just slow. And to top it off, the cart girl didnt even have Gatorade. What a joke, a 6 1/2 hour round. Wont be back again.

Like they really care about the game of golf. Marshals that ride around for free golf, starters that cant count to 4.. Play here of you want a slow round because the twosome in front of you doesnt care that they are being pushed by a foresomr and the marshals care as much.
