Customer service is horrible at this location! I believe the woman’s name was Jo that’s assisted me with a return. From the beginning of our interaction she was rude and short with me. I asked if she had a waste basket behind the counter to throw away the HG plastic bag. Rudely, she responded “as long as I’m wearing a mask, we are not taking plastic bags” But I’m bringing back items, so what’s the difference? Then she kept saying the items would not scan into the computer for some reason and ask me where I purchased them. The receipt and stickers clearly say HomeGoods in Virginia. Now that I have read the reviews for the store…it seems like this is something they do in order to deter you from making a return. At one point, she acted like she couldn’t do the return because part of the sticker was peeling…as if I’m a liar? I stood firm in the fact that I wanted a return, about 5 minutes has passed at this point of her hesitating and not really finishing her sentences when I ask her what’s the issue…then I notice the keypad asking if I want a printed receipt. She never acknowledged the system was now working…just handed me my cash then told me to have a good day in a condescending tone as she was looking at the next customer. Which leads me to believe she was lying the entire time and just mad because she had to do a return. I will not patronize this store. They need to retrain their employees on being honest.
Ok place. Crowded aisles hard to get around. Maybe visit on a non weekend day.check out was slow.
Injured myself in the associate helping did not any concern.I Just doing some mowing around with a friend of mine when she found 2 porch loungers she wanted to purchase. She asked for an associate to help show her how to fold the chairs. A male associate showed up showed her how to fold the chairs and told her she needed a cart. As she was on her way to get the cart, my was insistent on me sitting in one of the chairs. My concern was Im over 50 and can I get out of this chair once I get in it. But at her insistence, I gave it a try the chairs were on a small platform and I did not realize my foot was partially under the platform so when I went to step up the top of my foot hit the bottom of the platform and I injured myself. Dont get me wrong,Minorly, but it did break the skin. The amount of unconcerned shown by the associate with startling. I wasnt looking much just a little human concern. A simple maam are you okay, or is there anything I can get for you? Would have went a long way. If This were my purchase, I would not have made it. And before I left I would have made sure I told the manager the reason why I was leaving behind the $200 loungers.
So i am in #homegoods and came to return a stepping stool that broke from underneath me.I go to the cashier and explain to her what happens and she spends over 5 minutes talking to the store manager; she comes back places a sticker on the stool and asks me for my identification.i look at her and ask if she told her manger what happened and she says no; i ask her to speak with the manager, once he comes over i explain to him that i bought a stool and it was defective in his nature. Why must i go through this extensive process of completing a return for $7 ( mind you it’s not the money it’s the principle behind it) His response, of the bat is combative w/ me, so i ask him for his name. He gives me his first name and walks away as i’m asking him for his last name. I ask the cashier for his last name and she refused to give it to me.So yes i called the non emergency police to the store. Once the police arrived they got his last name and then the store filled out a trespassing notice for me ( as if i would want to shop her again ) !! Then i was told by the policeman that the stool in question was not from this store- low and behold i ended up finding the receipt that listed the stool on it (storage organizer). So not only was this handled inappropriately but they tried to make me out to be a liar !Personally i was lucky that i didn’t fall on my back and severely injury myself !
Fun store, plenty of items to fill out your living space with.A little generic, youre not going to look like a free spirit with the stuff you get here, but good finds and price point
Its ALLWYS nice I love it😇
Very organized and clean.Helpful checkout personnel
So many beautiful things to choose from!! Store is packed with gorgeous seasonal items!
Beautiful paintings were purchased by very good prices 👌
The atmosphere is awkward and depressing like the area. Love Homegoods but pass hard on this location, it’s cringe. Imagine a bunch of people shopping anxious and angers (Post Covid)? The workers are timid and reserved but I give them grief because the clientele this location brings.
Always has something that catches my eye! :)
I love Homegoods! Its a great place for, obviously, home goods, but is also a fantastic place to explore design trends and colors, and get inspiration for my own home. I can spend hours in here just browsing bedding and bath, not to mention the fantastic aisle of kitchen gadgets. Love it, and Ive never met an unpleasant associate. Theyre always very helpful and nice.
The employees are super-sweet and helpful in wrapping your candles. However, I really wish they would recall their Olivia Blake candles and not sell them. Not only are they overpriced, but Ive bought them in two shopping trips and the candle pops out/snaps off from being held at the bottom with metal and wax. As a reseller, when this happens, I take a pretty huge loss because I cant resell candles in this manner and its hard to prove that this happens because the candles become dislodged en route from leaving the store. My advice is obviously to not get the Olivia Blake candles to have a happy shopping experience. They have a lot of hard-to-find labels and candles at decent prices that would normally cost a lot and/or way too much at other stores.
Best place to buy house hold goods, like decorative furniture, utensils, rug, mirror etc. Stylish items, fair price, friendly staff.
Very helpful staff & rare items!
Absolutely love HomeGoods. Here is my new vanity room set up. They made my closet look like a 👑 powder room😊
Good selection of home items, decent prices too.
So good to return to my favorite shopping experience. HG has taken steps to making shopping safe. Wider aisles, arrows on the floor. Unfortunately, manyshoppers appear to be oblivious to safety precautions.
Clean. Help available. Not quite as much quality merchandise as other Home Goods stores. I appreciate the Location availability.
HomeGoods is one of my most favorite stores of all. You can find really great gifts in there. I even found Czech glasses. The prices are sooo good that you have to be careful you dont swipe your credit card too often, its so easy. Especially when you see all the beautiful products and delicious snacks, coffees, teas, and snacks. Just before the holidays, they have a large selection of toys. Its the best place to do Christmas shopping - you can get all the gifts in one place. Even that cute outfit for your dog. They have it all. Ill be back. Probably tomorrow. And then the day after tomorrow again... ;)
HomeGoods is just great. Its only Tuesday and Ive been to over six HomeGoods and Homesense stores in the MD and VA area; helping my daughter, whos an interior designer, out with finding just the right home decor and furniture pieces.
They have alot good stuff, I went to get last minute Christmas presents found exactly what I was looking for.
Homegoods Amazing store from seasonal to occasions great items collection of RugsI love this store
Tons of people and an endless checkout line. I had to leave, I didnt feel comfortable.
First of all, there is no social distancing in this store! There is no limit to how many people go in so there are a lot of people going in at once and are stuffed in the aisles. The aisles are very tight and there are a lot of people in them with no distance and literally would touched everything. The employees walk by and do not say anything to them just pick things up that are misplaced. Customer service was terrible as well. Cashier had an attitude and barely said any words to us when we were friendly to her. It was very uncomfortable being in this store and left my mother and I very uneasy. Home goods, get your covid procedure right!
Long line great products
Bits and pieces of everything. Jack of all master of none. You can come here to find a hidden gem once in a blue moon, but if you are after a set or a specific item, that is probably not there.
This store is always beat and organized. They also have good deals in the clearance section. They have unique furniture and great rugs. The lines can be long but they have plenty of cashiers to move you thru quickly.
Great selections and one stop shopping for all household items.
I love it, cheap, organized, and staff were so friendly
Opened early, fewer people and great inventory.
Clean carts, entry with masks and social distancing was maintained. Good collection of stuff.
**as of 11.11 COVID-19 max. capacity is 120 in store, masks are required, use the disinfected carts in the store, not outside! announcements to stay 6 ft. apart, they have people dedicated by the doors and sanitizer & counter plexiglass shield is available at each register**I have been coming here for many many years. Plenty of lot parking, no garage, no cost. The place has never looked a mess, shelves are stocked. They tend to have everything you need for your home. The prices are discounted and many quality imported items. I am going to walk through the store in my mind and put it here for you, so you get an idea of what they sell. Lets go on this mind trip together, shall we? Joking. Note, they will sell sofas and chairs although not in mass quantities. They sell holiday items (outdoor & indoor), kitchen (gadgets, linens, tableware, prep, aprons, pots-n- pans, etc.) home office (few chairs, no desks), foods (snacks, condiments/oils, candies), healthy option (snacks, shake mixes, etc.), dinning (table linens, utensils, serving, cookware, hosting items, etc.) teas & coffees (bags and k cups), bath, bedroom linen (no bedroom furniture sets), outdoor/indoor mats, lamps, wall art (lots to see), children infant - toddler furniture (chairs, lamps, steps) educational toys/games/books/dress up/gift items, stationary items (occassion cards), pets (beds, food, grooming, clothes, bowls, toys), coffee table books, pillows, throws, home decor, home scents (sprays, oils, candles, etc.), cleaning supplies, garden decor & lights, picture frames that hang, side tables, benches, dressers, rugs and misc. They have a clearance section those tend to be items with imperfections/broken/missing piece, or last item in sets. If you can hide it or fix it, its a good discount. You will leave with something, its a lot of items. The staff is friendly and helpful. During the holidays you can find one of a kind. This store is associated with Marshalls and TJ Maxx in the area. If (if!) I find something at a sister store, its the same or $1-2 higher than HomeGoods. Be Safe and Happy Shopping.
Always go the Home Goods for gifts. Always find something for everyone on my list. Easy parking. Nice prices.
There are signs in the aisles telling people which way to go. It is a shame the average American isn’t smart enough to follow an arrow, but at least the store is trying! Things seemed spaced out and the selection was good. Thanks home goods!
I loved that they even have toys for 2 year olds that you normally need to buy online. There are very few you stores now.
This place is great! Its full of stuff your wife will buy and then immediately judge in hindsight. The stuff she keeps really makes your house a home. The staff is great about taking back that other stuff, which was less homey after it got back to the house.
Its such a WONDERFUL place! You find such incredible pieces and the prices are great!Check this place out! Dont miss it!I am going back again soon!
Love the store home goods but the ones in black neighborhoods like waldorf are always empty with a line out the door. Im thinking what are you all buying its nothing in here.? If you have a car go to the white neighborhood for the best selections. I use the waldorf as my return spot ppl like it because i bring new things to that location.
Today September 9th 2020 at 5.30 pm. Robert the supervisor was extremely rude, loud, impolite, aggressive and highly unprofessional and definitely not customer service oriented. The complete opposite from Kojo, Muhammed and the staff at HomeGoods Gaithersburg shop who gave excellent customer.I am highly disappointed and dissatisfied
Fun place to shop. Friendly staff and constantly changing inventory. They buy left over stock from other stores and sell them at low prices
HomeGoods has everything you want! You may not be able to find exact matches if youre looking for pairs or a set of 4 (for glasses and the like). Be ready and willing to go digging through stuff because its not always the most organized (especially if its towards the end of a weekend). Otherwise can find fantastic and cheap finds (got a set of 4 wine glasses for $7!!). Happy hunting!
Home Goods is a department store filled with many items for the home. There are all types of spring and Easter items including dishes, Linens, glasses etc. The store is bright and well stocked. Prices are competitive. Parking is free.
This place always has something neat and fun to grab for around the house.Inventory constantly changes, but a few staple items always remain.Great place to grab ideas for crafts or a few home accessories to accent any space.
Nice place
Fun store. So many different items to choose from. Very good prices too.
Fantastic products and merchandise but extremely poor attitude by the store manager and associates. They were rude and were lacking in any kind of customer service! Store needs to take a good hard look at the personnel they are hiring!
One of my favorite stores. We have purchased many unique and interesting pieces of furniture here. The only downside of this store or any other homegoods is that you never no whats in stock. They do not have online store or anything. You just need to visit the physical store and stroll around.
I came into the store to return a few items. I waited in line for less than three minutes. A very nice associate helped with my return and I was walking out of the store a few minutes later. It was a great experience!
Great prices. They could do better on the variety of their products. I like the fact that there is no need for coupons or membership card. The listed prices are alfresco what they should be.
Just about anything you can think of for home decor, usually fair prices, great place to get christmas gifts. Staff was friendly and helpful despite being very busy.
For me good for the one of a kind buy. Nice price. Small but friendly and helpful staff.
This is one of the largest home goods in MoCo, and always has a great selection of unique items
There is a wide range of products to choose from: i have seen so much beautiful items that i did not know what to choose from. I want to thank Melissa for helping me with my entire purchase. i explained her the idea i wanted for my house and she basically did the entire decoration for me. i really like her taste. I already had a lot of compliments from the things she matched up for me.I went back to HomeGoods today for some extra accessories but they told me she was not there today. did not buy much today but i will come back and i hope Melissa will be there. Love my experience there, it was like having my personal home decorator.
So much stuff that its get overwhleming. But this store is way better than the similar ones I have ever visited.
Good selection at a good price
Good service, but you need first find someone to help you
Need more furnuture and carpet at a lower price.
Just o(
Homegoods has the best products ever but more importantly they have the BEST customer service!
If youre creative this is some of the best shopping!
Im amazed at how much merchandise is chipped, cracked or broken. You would do best to carefully inspect your purchase before checkout. Yet, they occasionally have some interesting one-of-a-kind pieces. Its like a Pier 1 but with more useful stuff in kitchen, bedding, and furniture. They have many practical gift objects too. However, Ive noticed after several visits that the quality ebbs and flows depending on whats on the floor, and theres no need for a pet section with a PetSmart store a few doors down.
A great assortment of great holiday gifts, and the Christmas decor is fab as usual. Service was prompt. They are ready for the crowds. If you can go between 10 and 2pm.
Great selection at good prices. New arrivals every time! Fresh and current.
As always good. Better than most other similar stores.
Nice store with huge assortment of anything you need for the house (furniture, bedding, kitchen stuffs, ...).
It was nice, a bit crowded because of the time I whent in but overall good finds and good prices.
Good place to stop by for stuff for the home as long as you dont care to get a complete set of anything you are looking for.Prices are very attractive for the the items sold here. We are able to get good deals on sheets and comforters, etc.
Excellent store! It has many interesting items!
Good selection of products, but the staff isnt helpful and they come off miserable. The store definitely needs to hire staff that is better with customer service.
Love
Excellent prices and great merchandise. Specially kitchen accessories. Great!!
Nice selection of high end items
If you see something you like, buy it. Tomorrow it will be gone.
Good things, good prices, and good customer service
Great hit and miss store, fun looking for bargains.
One of the most cleanest and organized homegoods Ive been to!
Omg...best place ever
The store and the attention of its employees is excellent and beautiful
Clean store but aisles are too narrow. Hard to find someone to assist you on the floor. Big selection. Some really unusual things.
Unquestionably the premier home decorating source. Love it!!
If you need help from the manager and you see a large Indian male walking your way, leave immediately and come back when someone else is on shift. He has no desire to be accommodating. Long story short, I lost money returning a defective toy because the employees werent on the same page. It was a negative enough experience that I wrote my first negative review ever.
This location is always stocked and has a great staff. Lots of great deals and value based pieces.
Window shopping here is the BEST. I only buy the sale items, shhhhhh!
I always love coming in here. Theres really always a ton of new things to look at!
Always find good buys
Visually interesting, tons of things to buy. Bedding, rugs, chotkes, and foodstuff.
One of my most favorite places.
Really good store. Best of all they have brownie root beer!
HomeGoods is like a scavenger hunt for things you didnt even know you needed. The selection is very wide and hunting is fun as you are not sure what you will find.
I love this store and always find things I didnt know that I needed
Really like the store. Never know what youd find.
Great place for your home.
When checking out, I was given the option to donate any dollar amount to a charity. I chose to donate $10, now the cashier made the “mistake” of making a donation on my card of $21. Then I proceed to wait 15 minutes for them to figure out how to take literally just for $11. I would have told them just to donate it, but I felt like this was done on purpose. To add on, when someone made a donation they would ring this really loud bell, and if you donated more they would ringing it longer and bring more attention to it. I feel like this made people feel forced to donate at least something. Overall, custromer service and my experience wasn’t the best, and the store was not very well organized.
Very eclectic store, go often as stock always changes. Prices vary.
You never know what fun stuff you will find. 😊
