White Flint Auto has to be, without exaggeration, the best repair shop in North Bethesda. I dropped off my 2006 Toyota Camry for a bad rattle and suspension clunks without an appointment. The vehicle was looked at within a day and Dwayne let me know that the serpentine belt tensioner was the cause of my rattle, and a few loose lower control arm bolts that they tightened was the cause of my suspension clunks. To top off fixing the clunk thats driven me crazy for months, the diagnostic rate was waived. Absolutely amazing service from White Flint Auto Repair. These guys are what mechanics should strive to be. If youre looking for honest and straightforward repairs, these are your guys. Were definitely going to be returning customers.

This review has been a long time coming - our family has been using White Flint Auto Repair for ten or more years. These guys have been keeping our cars running and running and running, and doing it quite reasonably. They are reliable, trustworthy, affordable, and fast. They’ve kept out 18 year old Camery running and almost as good as new along with a Ford Taurus wagon we used until the engine finally gave out. Very good communication and always willing to check something out for you. If you are looking for someone to check out a vexing problem who you can trust, give these guys a try.

The most honest mechanics I’ve met on the East Coast. I had a typical oil change performed with a coupon at the local Mazda dealership. They quoted me with $1,700 of repairs. I took the quote over to White Flint and they confirmed none of it was necessary. I offered to pay them for the inspection, but they said no charge and come back when you need to.Support these guys.

I arrived at work on the morning of Christmas Eve to discover that I had a flat tire. I called White Flint and asked if they could squeeze me in. They helped give me directions when I had trouble finding the place. They quickly plugged my tire and let me know I would need a new one soon. The repair was quick and reasonably priced. Reliable, honest, direct.Ive been going to White Flint Auto for years and have had only good experiences. They were great this week while my battery slowly and mysteriously worked its way through bizarre symptoms (limp mode, working, not working, draining, working, etc.) in the car without testing bad until the second time I brought it in. Al and everybody there is great.Theyre to the point, not looking for extra work, and always happy to talk you down when youre having a bad day and dont trust your car anymore. Hard to feel this good about many businesses anymore but White Flint Auto has earned my trust and respect.

After reading a lot of reviews and seeking quotes on Yelp, i decided to give White Flint auto a call.Turns out, they do the state inspection for a price lesser than most! Just $75.The process was easy, just drop off the car and get it after 3-4 hours. Plus there are no re-inspection charges.The person at the counter was welcoming. they have a good waiting lounge with Kureg coffee!Would recommend to anyone who is moving to Maryland and get the state inspection done here!The only problem is, they are open only on weekdays until 5PM.

This is a customer oriented repair shop. I knew we had found the right place for us when I brought in my 06 Sentra and the owner asked me, What are your goals for your car? When I got the Sentra back from them the first time, they had fixed my broken antenna. I hadnt even mentioned it to them as a problem, and they gave me a new one without charge. Super nice!I They kept that car on the road for me by doing exactly the work that needed to be done without trying to sell me services I didnt need.With our van, they helped us navigate our insurance claim after we had an accident. We were able to get a tow hitch added with the money they saved us.I completely trust what they say and the work they do, and I recommend them highly to family and friends.

I cannot recommend this place enough. After failing my inspection, one place quoted me $1400 for repairs, which I wasn’t even sure if it was worth. A friend recommended White Flint, her fiancé’s family has been going there for years. They did the work for $650, my car has been running perfectly, they were fast and transparent, and even drove me to and from the Metro.

My car started making a strange noise while I was driving on Rockville Pike and White Flint Auto was the closest repair place. They were really busy but still took the time to take a quick look and thankfully it was something innocuous that could be fixed quickly. They fixed it and got me back on the road in time to make it to meetings at work. They were really friendly even though I was a little flustered since I had a busy day at work and didnt want to be late. Ill definitely use them for future service (hopefully with planned appointments and not sudden emergencies next time!).

I dont trust a lot of mechanics, but these guys I do. I was skeptical at first, but after recommendation from my GF, i gave this place a try. I dig em. They recently rebuilt my front brakes, including new pads, rotors, calipers, and hoses, as well as servicing my rear drum brakes. Ive also had them work on my transmission and some other powertrain issues. They have always been fairly priced, quick, and do the job well.

By far the best repair shop I’ve ever gone to. Went above and beyond to help me diagnose and fix an issue that doesn’t even throw an engine code (overheating CVT in the Nissan). They found the least expensive way to fix my car, which was far cheaper than what the dealer said. If you’re even remotely close to this repair shop, don’t go anywhere else!

I have been going here for 4 years and have to say it is the best experience with a shop that I have ever had, which is why I am willing to continue going to see these guys even though it is further out of my way after a move a few years ago. Juan is the owner and is a fantastic guy. Every oil change I go in for he gives me a projection on any work that may need to be done in the next oil change or two so I can plan ahead. He continually keeps in mind how long we are trying to get my car to last, and doesnt try to sell you on doing unnecessary work; in fact, he regularly advises me to wait on certain work until it is really necessary for the health of the car. I am always able to call and make an appointment with a few days notice, yet the guys always make the time for me if a potential emergency crops up. Last week my car had another issue with the transmission fluid tubing, which Juan and the guys had replaced for me a month prior. Just saw them again today to get that fixed, fully expecting to pay for the work, only to find a bill of $0.00. He told me the issue should have been fixed in the visit over a month beforehand, and so there was no charge. These guys are honest, accessible, experienced, friendly, and prioritize customer service. You wont be disappointed if you become a regular customer.

These guys are great. They are all super friendly and upstanding. Ive had them do some fairly significant work on my 2000 VW in the last two years and they did a great job and I felt totally secure about what I was getting, how necessary it was, and what I paid for it. As a single woman, Ive never felt like they were taking advantage of my ignorance; and quite the contrary, I feel like these guys are ready to watch out for my safety and best interest as vigilantly as my own father would.

Everytime I need to get work done on my car or even a simple oil change I am certain the mechanics at White Flint will do a good job the first time. Turned out it wasnt, but it cost me $100 less at white flint and the dealer said my front brakes were dangerously low (2mm) so I had White Flint check them out. No brakes were under 6mm and they didnt do any unnecessary work on my rear brakes. Saved me $700 by coming here. Good looking out. Really gonna miss this place when we move!

Used to be good. Since it changed ownership, they are dishonest. During md state inspection they missed some broken things and made up some other broken things.

Honestly I thought I was getting a great honest service at first but then I discover something was wrong with my rear break pads which I recently had changed my self (not even 2 months a go), the guy at the front desk told me they where more than 50% gone. I knew that was false but didnt say anything at first but now my back brakes are make this weird noise and I believe the metal part from the pads are making contact with the rotors which is a big problem. Never gain. Please know what really goes on with your car before you bring it to a mechanic.

Biggest thing of all everyone I met there was extremely nice and made me feel at ease. Only thing Ill complain about is the waiting room doesnt have much air circulating so it gets hot inside if you have to wait on a summer afternoon. Definitely coming back. Thanks, guys!

Dropped off my truck in the evening and it was ready in less than a day! There was a metallic rattle under the hood that had me worried. They found that it was a rusted clip on the exhaust that was buzzing. They put a new clip on and the pricing was very fair! I couldnt have been more relieved. These guys deserve a lot of credit for their service and care. Having only lived in the area for 2 years, its been nerve-wracking trying to find an auto shop that I can trust, and Ive easily decided that White Flint Auto is my go-to shop from here on out.

I had an absolutely incredible experience with Al and the rest of his staff. Brought my car in for an inspection; they repaired it at a much lower price than I had gotten elsewhere, and even threw in a new inspection free of charge. The staff bent over backwards to help me out, and even gave me a ride to the metro station. Ill be going back as long as Im in the area.

I started going here about 3 yrs after my 4 AWD car was towed using a pulley (big headache). I ended up going to 3 places to get an estimate, and WFA were the only ones that did not try to dick me around (we all know how mechanics can be). Juan was so helpful, kind and knowledgeable i really felt at ease.Since that wonderful service I make it a point to only service my car there. This is saying A LOT because i live in PG county and it is a bit out ways at times. Although Juan has now retired, i am still met with the same kindness, professionalism and most importantly service. They take time to address my concerns and also provide updates before repairing anything. I never feel pressured to get additional service repair (this was a big issue with previous mechanics, who always found something wrong with my old car - go figure) and the pricing is fair.

I’m disappointed in myself for not writing a review earlier as I’ve been bringing my vehicles here for over 20 years. But yesterday I noticed, while driving my daughter to the airport in my wifes SUV, that the oil change was overdue by 1,500 miles. I panicked a little as I can’t recall ever going over the schedule maintenance before, but never the less we had. So I decided on my way home from the airport that I’d stop by White Flint Auto to check if they had time to do my service without prior notice. I figured it would be more difficult for either Alan or Dwaine to say no if I was standing there in person versus calling them and requesting it over the phone. I knew going in that they would most likely be jammed up, and that the likelihood of me having to leave it or schedule an appointment was still possible, but I had the day off and decided to risk the drive over. But as luck would have it, Brendan was standing in the office when I arrived and was more than happy to shuffle their schedule and fit me in while I waited. Hats off again to Brendan and his crew for accommodating me on a moments notice and making my life easier. This example is just one of many reasons why I have continued to patronize WFA during both their relocation (6 years ago) and change of ownership (3 years ago). Brendan, the current owner (who BTW worked at WFA under the previous owner) has always treated me as family since he took over the business. UPDATE: 5/23/18These guys came to my rescue again. I had to take my car in for an emissions inspection, which it failed. I took my car in, and Brendan and his crew fixed the problem in no time. About a two weeks later, my car was sitting out in the rain for a few days, and when I started it up it misfired and flashed its engine light at me. Ugh, another problem with my Jetta. Luckily, an ignition coil, some wiring, and a few spark plugs later, Brendan, Duane, Al, and the rest of the crew had me back up and running in no time for as good a price as I could hope. Now, my troublesome 04 Jetta with 151K miles is running like new(ish). 5 stars, only because I cant give 6.Bottom line: Ive never had better service than at White Flint Auto Repair.What happened: I drive an old Jetta that has given me all kinds of trouble over the past several years. Two or three problems in particular have been seen by mechanics in multiple states, and nobody has been able to diagnose the issues. When I moved to the area a few months ago, not only did they diagnose the issues, but they did it as a complimentary service while performing other routine maintenance! They provided me with several cost-effective options, and did a phenomenal job with the repairs. That was my first experience with them, and is why I went back to them.Fast forward a few months, and I go in to get a routine oil change. I used to go to Jiffy Lube or somewhere similar, but never again... During the oil change, they did what seemed like a full inspection of my car and discovered a nail in my tire, as well as a cracked axle. I needed a state inspection, too, so they walked me through exactly what would be needed to pass the state inspection. They never resorted to the hard-sell approach, and they were totally upfront about what needed to be fixed now and what I could stand to wait a bit to fix. These guys are honest, totally reasonably priced for the incredible level of service they provide, and do fantastic work. Where other mechanics have all had trouble on my car, they successfully diagnose and fix quickly and thoroughly.Besides their standard car services, they also provide some really nice touches that accommodate customers who come from far away, or choose to stay during the repairs. I was extremely pleased to see the cell phone charging cables for all types of phones provided while you wait, since I had accidentally left mine at home. Also, they will pick you up or drop you off at some nearby locations, so if youre coming or going by metro, thats no problem.Theres really no reason Not to go here if youre even Remotely nearby and need work done on your car. I cant say enough about these guys, and will continue to go here as long as I live in Maryland.
