Great dealing with T today at the shop. Had great selection in laptops. Had trouble not walking out with some other items. Great team in there and a really well organized store. Cant wait to go back SOON.

Went in to this Pawn shop to look at a Stihl chainsaw with a long bar, and Pete never gave me a chance to buy it - he wouldnt tell me the price but told me to come back when I have money to buy it? He kicked me out for no reason. No customer service, bad attitude. There are plenty of good Pawn shops in the area. Avoid Rock Hill Pawn Shop like the Plague!

I went into the Rock Hill pawn shop to pawn my P365. It has never been shot before and it was kept in the safe most of the time. I carried it a few times on my person but that was it because it is not my primary weapon. Once in the store the dark haired guy looked at the side arm and tried to tell me it was bought used because it had some dings on it. The dings were from my wife dropping it one time onto the concrete once. I told him that the gun was purchased from Academy Sports about 8-10 months ago and anyone knows that Academy does not sell used weapons. I actually still have the receipt for the weapon. He then tried to tell me that it was missing a holster that should have came in the case with it and the gun manual. He stated because of this he could only offer me $100 dollars to pawn it or $150 to sell it. Now mind you for a side arm that was so worthless that his co-workers were very adamant to attempt to get me to sell it to them rather than pawn it. They kept trying to tell me that the side arm was an older model and not worth much. I then said yeah okay closed the case and walked out. I then went to another pawn shop that I was familiar with and they gave me no haggle and the $200 that I was asking to pawn for it for without question. I used to go to Rock Hill pawn shop in the past when there were different people working there and my experiences were always pleasant. But the current workers are not customer service friendly and I will never go there again its now on my ban list of stores.

I have come in several times for work equipment and jewelry and they were very professional. They took time to make sure start equipment and made sure it ran properly before leaving the store. They help load equipment. They made great conversation and smiles. Store was Covid safe made sure everyone stays safe. Very detail and knowledgeable.

Literally walk in this place, the first dude I met was very friendly (short haired). And asked me to bring in my object to be looked at, the other dude with dark brown long hair was rude and this is my first time in a pawn shop so I am clueless, but he tells me that it’s not his job to sell my stuff. If I wanted to do that then I shouldn’t have came. I mean isn’t it their job to sell people’s items. I didn’t even tell him anything about it.

I bought a new gun two weeks ago. I’ve been looking for this gun in stock for a while. Gun was marked full price. Guns and ammo are in short supply right now. Bottom line, I am happy with the purchase. Gettlleman that I dealt with could not have been nicer. They had a good supply a full-size handgun. Thinking about going back and looking around again. This is a cool place on Cherry Rd. They are your typical pawn shop. They do have some limited inventory and have given me ridiculously low offers on some items. Either way they really are not BAD. It is the name of the game some times for them to do things the way they got to do them. This is by not means a bad place.

Just looking at some of these reviews and noticing many of the negative are months and years back? After shopping for a handgun, not knowing exactly what I was wanting. I went to Rock Hill Pawn. Came to find the salesperson (Ron) was a firmer Police Officer and firearms instructor. He completely explained things about what and how I wanted to use the weapon. Up to the point of actually talking me out of one they had mainly because I still wasn’t sure? Tell me a note retail store that does that? He help me realize the type and style weapon right for me. Gave me a location I could rent and try out the handgun. Then provided websites to research the best prices. Once I find what I’m looking for I will have it transferred to Rock Hill Pawn for sale! These guys care about you man! No doubt!

Doug came to the rescue...provided us with time, knowledge & care. He didnt mind when I checked other prices & his other staff was TOP NOTCH. I Highly recommend this place!

The man that works in there is name DOUG. He is absolutely rude and awful to come in contact with. Doug has a horrible attitude. Asked me to leave the property and never step foot in the store again for absolutely NO reason. There are plenty of other pawn shops in Rock Hill with better prices and better customer service than DOUG can provide. Doug is the owner and I imagine that with an attitude like that, he won’t be in business much longer.

My first experience with Rock Hill Pawn Shop was beyond amazing. I thought all pawn shops were created equally, but they are not. The two gentleman working there helped me find a mans wedding band for my wedding, which was happening in less than 16 hrs. He even sized the band to the correct size, 9.5. This is absolutely the best pawn shop in Town. Friendly staff. Honest and will help you find what you are looking for. Even if they don’t have it. And always clean. Seems like every time we go in they are cleaning shelves, vacuuming etc..Heads and shoulders above the rest. Ron is an absolute hoot! Cuts up and makes you want to stay. Don’t go anywhere else!

Just got a great deal on a brand new chainsaw. Johnny and Ronnie are the new managers there and are a couple of great guys. Johnny was on the floor rolling back the prices while Ronnie was up front displaying excellent customer service. Great Customer Service from every staff member in the store. I called about an item I had seen online and spoke with a very nice young lady, so I made the drive from Cornelius, NC to make my purchase. When I arrived I was not only greeted by one but two of the staff and I was assisted in great detail by a staff member when I had questions about the product I was looking at. All the staff members were extremely polite, and helpful. The deal that was made was so good, I ended up buying two of what I went there to get!!

Never been in a pawn shop in my life. Went to Rock Hill Pawn due to all the postive reviews here on Google and I was pleasantly surprised. I was greeted as I entered the business by a gentleman (Ron). I was looking for a necklace and ring for my daughters college graduation gift. Now I am very hard to please but Ron worked with me for a very, very long time to help me find what I liked. He was very patient and even cleaned the jewelry and supplied a very nice box to put them in. Very professional but most of all very personable man. I will surely make Rock Hill Pawn Shop my first stop for my future purchases.

Great prices and will give fair prices for pawned items or items that I have taken in for sale. They have also been willing to work with me when times have been tough. I came into the store for a specific tool that they had. I have an item to trade and some cash but it did not quite meet the value of the tool I wanted. Manager immediately fixed it so that I would have enough to buy what I wanted. Because of his willingness to work with me I now have the tools that I need to complete my job. John and one other gentleman here truly helped my husband and myself. He was kind and understood our “right now” situation and went far beyond the call of duty so we could do what we needed. I am forever grateful to. You usually don’t think of compassion coming from a pawn shop but there is in this one.

Terrible experience...went in to make a trade and the owner wanted to give me $5 each for a brand new set of lights that were worth $125 each! Now i know I wasnt going to get full retail but $5 is an insult.Definitely a shop full of winners

Great place, good employees. Was in Saturday and a church group came in trying to sell things for a fundraiser. Owner couldn’t use any of the items and reluctantly turned them away. No problem with that. But one gentleman that works there i guided and ended up buying a lamp for $20 that was broken and really wasn’t worth s buck! Doug has some real good guys in there now. Again great place!

Love this place! Walked in and everyone said Hello and asked how my day was going very friendly, made me feel at home. Never been to a pawn shop in my life I was amazed at all the stuff they had, A gentleman by the name of John asked if I needed some help i told him I was looking around then he told me about some deals that they had going on. I love deals! So I walked around the store to see, got stuck at the jewelry counter. I love jewelry! Agree with the last post. Ron knows his stuff and does not try to just sell you something. Asks questions and directs you in the best way on using and what type of firearm to purchase. Rock Hill Pawn is far above the rest in this area.

I have known and done buisness with diug and cassie mason for 30 plus years. I have bout at least 100k$ in tools equipment jewelry and electronics. Dont waste you time on the internet. Go see doug mason on cherry rd. Prices cant be beaten and staff is AQ though out 30 years!

Got a really fair, honest and moral deal on an old really good guitar amp. Most of you dont play guitar, I know, but this was the holy grail for the music I play. I explained that given the age of the amp, it was going to need some components replaced. Filter capacitors, etc. do not last forever.Luckily, I love to rebuild and have the skills to refurbish old guitar amps. Let me get it for bottom dollar. Will be well taken care of and played often, with a band, like it was meant to be. Thanks Rock Hill Pawn Shop.

The thing you will find about Rock Hill Pawn is the type of people that work there. As mentioned in someone else’s post Ron and Johnny do thier best to make you feel welcome. They test out every item and if it doesn’t work for some reason they won’t try to sale it to you. In fact they try to find something as good or better. The store is always clean. Makes your shopping experience enjoyable and you don’t feel rushed to leave due to bugs, smells etc.. like other stores. Just an experience you have to try for yourself. If they don’t have it now they will try to find it for you too! These guys are beyond awesome. Give them a try.

I stopped in on a whim just to look around. The staff was incredibly polite and professional, and their prices were very fair. I would definitely recommend stopping in to see what they have!

First coming in and was surprised maybe the best word to use? This Pawn Shop is very well probably the best I’ve seen. However very poorly staffed it would appear. Or managed?I walked in mid afternoon this Saturday, Easter Weekend. And was overwhelmed at the number of people in the store. Which is a good thing you would suppose? However, then I find two gentleman absolutely working in total chaos!! Handling it very well now? Communicating with all of us, answering phones and questions on the run. And they were literally “on the run” trying to keep up with the flood of people that were there. They were very knowledgeable and virtuous the entire time. In fact one young man, appeared to be in his teens,was also very helpful an polite. At on point they seemed to have issues with their machines, not one but two machines they used to check customers in and out I am assuming. They were true troopers! Talking with us and even picking on each other in an attempt to lessen the tension. Once the issues were managed they began to “catch up” after an hour or so if this total chaos. A little to late I’m afraid as several customers grew impatient and left. Some rudley I might add. Apparently they were the only two working and the machine failure had thrown them into a bind. The youngest of the three had com in to help with the over flow apparently.All in all this Pawn Shop has a very well thought out floor plan and selection. For that it should probably have a 5 star rating. Having one more employee to help would greatly increase the production possibly?One gentleman I had the time to speak with informed us this happens quiet often on Saturdays. and they all spoke well of the gentlemen working during this mishap.

I absolutely love the deals here. Im always greeted with a Hello and the deals for the day with a smile. Usually if you want to buy more than one item you can get a pretty good discount. Ive been coming here since I moved to Rock Hill 5 years ago and havent had any of the issues that other people have spoken of in their reviews. They have great items for great prices and if you dont want to come in and browse the store they have majority of their items listed on OfferUp under the owners name. If youre looking to rent a home ask for the owner he may be able to help with that as well. -very satisfied customer-

Female at the front was very rude and had no customer service skills whatsoever. She was a Caucasian woman with light brown hair, probably in her late 20s or early 30s. She seemed very impatient and in a hurry to get us out. We had items we wanted to sell but she didnt even take the time to look at them. Instead, she made up a $5 dollar price for items that were well over 100 a piece. Definitely will not return and do not recommend this pawn shop to anyone if this female is working there. I would give no stars if I could.

Sold an instrument here a little bit ago. I didnt feel like the hassle of selling it on craigslist or facebook. Was offered a fair deal, one less instrument that I wasnt playing taking up space and some nice cash in pocket. Cant complain.

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!!! Extremely rude employees!! Super trashy and not knowledgeable of items I brought in. I understand its a pawn shop however they think im stupid that theyll offer me $7 for a radio that was $200, All I asked for was $30 easy way to make up their money and a profit! Terrible attitude super white trash. Obviously they do not know how to make money. They got a major attitude when I tried to help them out by saying a set of rims were labeled the wrong size and they basically me the whatever thanks we dont care! DO NOT GO TO THIS PAWN SHOP!!! Horrible place, extremely rude white trash. do not go in there, you will be better off buying somewhere else. I went to buy a set of tools and half of them were missing and the other half was completely rusted out. I tried to talk to the guy and he kept looking away like I was wasting his time.

Went in there to see if he had AR15 magazines. First the doped up trashy employee announced to the store that I want to buy an assault rifle which I did not and never once mentioned. Then told me I had to be 21 to buy an assault rifle which you only have to be 18 to purchase. So he finally shows me the price on the magazines and they were old beat up pieces of junk and were $60 a pop. Outrageously expensive especially for what they were! He then had the nerve to tell me they were $120 online when in fact you can get them for $20 online brand new! These people were not knowledgeable on anything they sold and were VERY rude. Thats why they will always be a crappy pawn shop in the ghetto/white trash slums of Rock Hill. Dont waste your time there.
