Its just up the street from the flying j as you go under 77 the gun store is amazing its equal to but it doesnt have a string as smoking Smokey mountain gun works in Gatlinburg but they do have a multitude of items and for the fisherman and Hunter

Customer service was horrible. What respectable firearm store sells replacement sights for Glocks but doesn’t install them? Wasted an hour driving to the store to find out this Nichols Store does not.

The place is a little ways out but worth the drive. The employees were friendly and great to work with. They have a large store that sells mostly everything. However, they are light on some products for to COVID. They sell hand guns, rifles, accessories, parts, you name it.

Although I live two minutes down the road from Nichols, I normally dont stop in because its always packed. My buddy wanted to buy his first rifle, so we decided to give Nichols a shot. Honestly we couldnt of asked for better customer service. The guys at the gun counter were patient and answered all his questions. I even walked out with an Kalashnikov 103 myself. Thanks for all the help guys!

I love stopping in at any outdoors stores while traveling. Personal preference to shop local vs big box, if possible. This store has everything from archery, firearms, fishing equipment, and endless quantities of gear. If you find yourself spending too much time shopping around and work up an appetite, stop in for a hot dog/soda in the deli to recharge.Seriously, if you can’t find it here, I doubt you need it!

Its like a mini Bass Pro Shop. Has all your outdoor needs covered. Friendly, helpful staff. Place was very clean and prices were mostly fair.

Personal experiences have me placing such a high score on this place. I have purchased multiple goods from them with little hassle at great prices. Friendly helpful staff realize an experienced customer and aided my purchasing experience instead of trying to lead it. For me this is a trip well out of my way but totally worth it. I recommend this place to the informed and novices alike.

This place has patient workers who will answer any questions you may have. They are very helpful and professional. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone weather you are a first timer or just purchasing another gun for hunting or home defense.

Seems like these guys dont want to sell safes. Ive been calling Jonathan for 2 days. He picked up once and said hed call me back but never did. Called the next day and someone transferred me to his VM. No callback. Customer service at its worst.

Great place to buy a firearm. Knowledgable staff behind the counter that are willing to answer any questions, and not pushy to make a sale. They want what is best for you. ALSO make sure you grab something from their kitchen on your way out. I love their hamburgers.

Today I purchased a 12 GA bull pup paid 753 cash took it new in the box to my car opened it and found only one 5 round mag. The salesman told me it came with two 5 round mags. Walked back in asked for my second mag. THEY ACTED LIKE I WAS TRYING TO STEAL A MAG FROM THEM!!! SAID IN A NASTY TONE WILL SELL YOU ONE AT A DISCOUNT OR GIVE YOUR MONEY BACK! OK TOOK MY MONEY BACK. AND WILL NEVER BE BACK..SORRY CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! I WAS GOING TO LAYAWAY A 3300 SAFE ALL THEY HAD TO DO WAS GIVE WHAT THEY PROMISED...How much does a 5 round mag cost??? We it cost them THOUSANDS IN FUTURE SALES AND THATS A FACT...Oh I found the same shot gun on line at $569 with one 5 round and One Ten round mag...Thanks Your EX customer...Randy Clayton..

Great store, been coming here for years. Good customer service, good prices, and a awesome selection from guns, ammo, the latest knives, even shades clothes and camo. Heck if you get hungry waiting on your background check or just want a good bite, they have a grill in there as well that serves pretty good food. This place is a country boys paradise for sure. Stop in trust me you won’t be disappointed.

Good selection of just about anything. Prices on hand guns are higher than most anyone else in the area by $25 to $100. I can live with that if I really needed something in stock that no one else does (although Id buy on-line first). What really upset me is that in order to buy ammo they needed my name. According tot he cashier they track who buys ammo. Never got to the point to see if they needed additional info on ammo purchases as I will not buy from a store that tracks purchase info. Probably will never set foot in the store again.

I would highly recommend going to Nichols for any of your outdoor activity needs. I go as often as I can to look at their deals and new products. The store is very organized and filled with useful outdoor utilities, tools and apparel. The selection of guns and gun safes is fantastic, and I have purchased both from them and can say they make the process very easy and not intimidating. Also check out the restaurant inside for some great food!

I came into the store on Wed June 3rd to possibly sell my 1958 Winchester Model 88 in the rare 358 Win caliber. Like most guys I expected to be low balled and then hopefully negotiate for a better price. Afterall gun shops in business to SELL guns not buy them from strangers. I never told him how much I wanted for my gun. Just that I wanted the best I could get. First let me apologize that I did not get the fellows name who evaluated my rifle. Second, I could not be more pleased with the response he gave about making their offer. He did not make an offer at all. He loved the rifle and was amazed at the condition of my 62-year-old gun. He explained that because my rifle was a rare gun and in super condition, it was more suited to a collector, which I knew. He further explained that his clientele was not made up of very many collectors. Which translated to me that if they gave me $2500 for my $3000 rifle it might sit on the shelf for a year or more and that is not profit its risk. Yes, they could sell below value to get their $2500 back and maybe a small profit, but that’s not good business. This might sound like I work for Nichols Store but I don’t. I owned my own retail business in Connecticut and never bought merchandise from the public. I take away a better understand of why this type of business needs to offer the lowest price to reduce their risk. This outfit or at least this fellow was honest and took the time let me know the reasons why they could not make an offer and that I would get the best price if I sell it privately.

Purchased my first firearm today. The entire team was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. If you’ve never been here it is well worth the trip! One of those places that has just about everything. I look forward to making future purchases here.

Like most outdoor sport businesses ammo is very limited but they at least have some ammo. Friendly staff and well maintained store.

Absolutely the best. Went in last week as a rookie looking to buy a shotgun and Mike helped me every step of the way. I had interest in a gun I saw on their website and it wasn’t at the store but Mike did not try to pressure me into buying anything I didn’t want or put together my price range. We went through a couple options and then I asked if I could just order it online and have it come to the store and he was totally cool with that and after about 5 days it came In. Mike helped me and again today and being a rookie with everything he did a great job. Nichols store should be very proud of the environment of customer service they have created.

If you need to stock up on ammo, or anything outdoors, head to Rock Hill, SC. Where chain stores are out of stuff, Nichols has it.

Go to Nichols store all the time. Very helpful staff bought a bunch of ammo and guns from them. Never had a problem and there have layaway available which is very helpful. A lot of stories are sold-out of a lot of ammo but there have plenty of every caliber.

Awesome selection of everything related to hunting, fishing and sporting goods. On sight deer processing is affordable and great quality. Friendly and knowledgeable staff are always willing to answer any questions or help you find just the right item. Highly recommended and my primary choice for all of my sporting needs.

I have personally had problems now and in the past with their processing. Im not sure if the staff is lazy or they dont know how to teach them. I have had silver skin on the back straps left on. They have to be wasting meat when they clean the animal as well. I shot a 120lbs deer and only got 23 pounds of meet back. For $114 they ripped me off.

It was ok but the wall to wall people was hard to get knowledgeable staff to understand what you needed and the proper help.

The golf cart side is very good. Manager is very knowledgeable and very customer oriented. Bought a cart of them. Easy and very fair on pricing. Took his time when we picked the cart up to make sure we were set and satisfied with our purchase. Highly recommend them.

These are just about the friendliest and most knowledgeable folks about anything they sell. And they often bring in manufacturers reps to fill in the blanks. Its worth the drive to check out Mr. Nichols store down here in Rock Hill.

Ive always had good experiences here. They are a bit pricey but worth it. The staff is always helpful and nice regardless of how busy they are. Im a firearms instructor and a gun nut and so far, the staff he has been able to answer any questions Ive had.

The store is very clean and well taken care of. We also ate lunch there and the food was great. The employees are very friendly and willing to help. I stop by the knife section to see the latest they have to offer. You can handle the knives and test how they feel in hand before you buy. The guy behind the counter is informative and can point you in the right direction. Same can be said for other departments of the store.

Everyone that helped me walked away and helped another customer...did not return.They have a million signs in their but not one that says our system doesn’t accept apostrophes... If this one issue makes a customer have to do all the paperwork over again maybe that’s something u should inform any and all customers.

Huge selection of guns and gun accessories. Very friendly staff. A little pricey but that’s not unusual for a Mom and Pop shop. They also serve food which is good and cheap. I can’t speak on much else as far as what they carry (they have smokers and coolers and hunting gear and fishing gear and other stuff) as I generally go straight to the gun section. Cool place.

I have put off posting a review for to many years now and wanted to do so now. Today all stores for a 15 mile radius of Lake Wylie were sold out of Crappie minnows,and I called and spoke to a gentleman that made sure they had at least 5 dozen. He told me they were almost out,but if I would give him my name,he would save those for me. I drove 18 miles to the store and walked inside with my bucket and there he was waiting on me. You just cant get that service from any business as I have for 15 years at Nichols Store.The owner custom ordered the vault door for my home vault,all the guys in the gun shop have always helped me,and educated me through my years of learning different things about firearms and hunting as well. Family owned businesses that care about there customers are a thing of the past,and if you havent been into this store,you definitely need to come,if just to browse. There grill has some of the nicest ladies you will ever meet,and the hot dogs are amazing. In the outdoor retail market you can go to Walmart or Cabelas and pay .02 less for something or go to a store where your business is actually appreciated and also supports a family. The choice is always up to you,but I love This Place and the People that work there!!! Thank you all!!!!

This place is awesome! Ive been a fan for years. This is the only place I can buy Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms under one roof. The best part is I can get a tasty pimento burger while I wait on my NICS form to process. You just dont get more American and awesome than this!!!

I am a disabled veteran who servef 21 years on the US Army zspecial Forces and cannot wear a mask. My service dog alerts by the smell of my breath. After asking me how he can help me at the ammo counter the man said i would have to leave. I told him i have TBI and showrd him my dog.He said its private property and i would have to leaveI left nevet to return.

If I could have given it a negative star I would. I traded 2 shotguns and paid 150$ extra for a used mossburge reverse 1 from here....... and first 10 shots the trigger stuck every time. I took it back and they tried to charge me to fix it or send it off when I had bought it 3 hours before that day. I figured it was just a bad encounter. Then some time after I bought an AR lower and had it transferred to them and they wanted to charge me 50$. For just a transfer. I asked to talk to a man named Jeff and he treated me like a child with smart alike comments and just rude. Academy had everything and more they do but less than haft the price they have. I will never buy or even step foot in this place again. Jeff was rude and didn’t know how to communicate with customers and is nothing but a thief...... would never recommend this store to anyone. Just go to academy sports.

Best gun and accessory store that Ive been to in South Carolina! Every employee is eager to help and willing to talk as long as needed to make a decision. They are very knowledgeable and carry a huge selection of both guns and accessories. They also have a bow, clothing, and camping section. They offer concealed carry class and there is a gun range as well. Its pretty much a one stop shop.

Great selection. Mike (Moore) helped us - excellent product knowledge, took the time to listen, discussed options, made recommendations based on what we needed and the best features for us. He was cost conscious but it was only one factor he considered. And he did NOT recommend the most expensive option for what we were looking for but rather the best items for our needs.

On separate occasions over several years have always enjoyed stopping in to the store. Most Recently Josh at the gun counter, and last year Woody, both very helpful, generous with knowledge and glad to say helped my son and I to successful hunts. Well worth the stop on the way out of state to hunt.
