Black Button currently has gas fire tables to sit at outside. You can have up to 4 people in your reservation. You pay in advance a $25 fee per person that includes 2 drinks and it includes gratuity. Theres also an option for getting 1 drink and a t-shirt or hat instead of a 2nd drink. They have a menu of cold and hot drinks to choose from. We opted for hot drinks. I had a butter pecan hot coffee drink and a cookie flavored coffee drink and both were very good. There are also hot cocoa options and even tea options. Theyre served in disposable to-go coffee cups. This whole experience was very cool! The tables are set up on the side of the street. I do have to say, the fire doesnt really give off heat and youre sitting on cold Adirondack chairs. The nice thing is, they offer you freshly laundered blankets to bundle up in! I would recommend dressing very warm and bringing your own blankets just in case they run out.BB said they will continue to do this if the city allows their setup in the street to continue. This is up in the air at the current time. They said if this continues it will depend on the weather. On their website you can book a reservation and check on the status of this event. It was a very cool experience!

How have I not done a review before now!? We have loved black button since it first opened. The product is superb and the service is as well. Their mixed drinks never disappoint and their spirits are a salute to Rochester with a twist. We are thankful to have such a great distillery in our own backyard. Go check it out!

Super cute distillery. Very knowledgeable staff. The tour was great - we saw all the equipment and tried a few samples (their liquor is delicious!). Tons of great merchandise. Very convenient location next to the Public Market.**Im not sure if they still have it but we got a Groupon for a two person tour, tasting, and two souvenir glasses for $15.

I was out last night for the live music, and have done this before. The drinks were great as usual, I have never had a bad drink here! However, the staff experience was mediocre at best. There were 5 girls serving the tables outside, and it seemed that I had to flag them down each time I needed something, they did not look at me any time they walked by. They also did not enforce the masks evenly. My friend came to say hello and pulled her mask down when she was talking. She was told to put her mask on, yet a waitress went up to another woman who did not have a mask on and said nothing. I did not feel comfortable with this and did not feel that I was given decent service. I wasnt even asking for much, and couldnt get anyones attention after signing my receipt. I dont see myself going back anytime soon, I will buy their bottles at the store instead.

You know how there are just some places that just make you feel at home? Black Button Distillery is that place for me! The drinks are spectacular & unique, favorably blended w/ their various bourbons, whiskeys, gins & vodkas ... The atmosphere is cozy & relaxing, along w/ seating outside that allows for social distancing ... add to it a staff that are friendly & knowledgeable, & it makes for a wonderful experience ... BBD sets a high standard!!

In an earlier review I praised Black Button Lilac Gin proclaiming it to be superior to the national brands Tanqueray and Bombay. I was gifted a bottle of Black Button Bourbon Cream for Christmas 2020. This too is absolutely the best cream liquor Ive experienced, and for my taste beats all popular national brands i.e. Baileys, Ryans etc. The liquor hit is much smoother and the cream component richer with a buttery finish.

We love to visit local distilleries, breweries, and wineries, as we have done this we often encountered black buttons products so while we had high expectations we had never visited their location. Located in down town Rochester near the public market in an old industrial building it is a fantastic spot to grab some drinks, enjoy their fine products, chat and hang out. We also took a tour about 1 hour long it gives a great introduction to the process, their business, their goals and their farm to table ideas. The tour is capped off with a nice tasting, all in all one of the best distillery tours I have been on (we have taken a few ). The bar area is bright, well decorated with a fun vibe, drinks are priced as you would expect and tasted great, they also do fun rotating drink specials for the seasons. Definitely a good spot for the spirit lover.

A friend told me about this place and from the minute I walked in the door, all I could think was why have I never heard of them before?! For us this was a hidden gem! The tour was a lot of fun! I learned a few things and got to try a few spirits I wouldn’t normally seek out myself. I’m all about the wine tours, but a distillery tour was a fresh change of pace, and it was awesome! The cream bourbon was delicious (and perhaps a little dangerous because it goes down way too easy).I know bourbon is their main gig, but not being a huge bourbon fan myself (and already having the tour tasting), I opted for the gin flight. They could have told me gin was their flagship and I’d have easily believed! Each was better than the last. The citrus forward gin was the favorite of the night. The mixed drinks are classy and expertly prepared. Fantastic night out!

The spirits are delicious! Once we can go out and about again, I suggest stopping in to try one of their signature cocktails. Once you try their Bourbon Cream, youll never touch Baileys again. BUT, the main reason this company is AMAZING is their community spirit. This company is keeping staff employed by making hand sanitizer. This, in turn, is helping the most needy and vulnerable members of our community. Thank you for providing such high quality products and proving that it is good business to do good works.

Had my husbands 50th Birthday party there on 11/24/19, and received so many positive comments from our guests, and ourselves of course!! Everyone working that evening made sure that every detail I left them to attend to was done in a top notch fashion.Bartenders so friendly and fun, the party coordinator Jessica made sure that everything went off without a hitch and made sure that we, as the party givers, had nothing to worry about while the party was going on. Red Osier Catering came in with their food cart with a menu that me and the owner, Rob Moore came up with and the food and the service in that department were superb!!!You cannot go wrong with an event there, especially if you want a no need to worry event....Thank you to all of Black Buttons employees for a wonderful time ... My gf and I had a truly wonderful time at the distillery. So much so that Ive been raving about it to friends. We were the only ones there for a tour so we got our own private tour after receiving our own delicious cocktails. They have a really nice, small facility and really personable employees.Whoever designed and decorated the bar did an excellent job. I love the logo and how it was used along with planks from oak barrels to decorate everything. And the tastings were phenomenal as each liquor we tried was truly top shelf. Ive never had better Irish cream. Definitely worth going and buying each of their products.

We went there for the first time on Friday for their lilac gin release. I never actually knew that this area existed by the public market, but its great! Though the place itself is small, its got a really comfortable vibe and I wasnt overwhelmed by the massive amounts of people (The event was popular, and for good reason. The gin is awesome). I definitely plan on going back on a regular day when the crowds will be thinner to give a tasting a try.

Gin on point! I havent been to the distillery yet, but I plan on going soon! Over the summer, my cousins and I went to the Waterfront Art festival at North Ponds Park in Webser, Ny and they had a tasting booth! It was really nice to try their different spirits. My favorite was the gin. So much flavor! Smooth with a little nip. The aroma is phenomenal and stays on your taste buds. It puts you in a mixed experience, you feel like you could be at a spa with a botanical garden or a luxury lounge with art deco on the walls and smooth jazz playing in the backround. Highly recommend checking this place out!

I highly recommend this distillery. I bought a Groupon for Sunday Funday as I’m in town for the weekend from Virginia. I love supporting local craft breweries and distilleries anywhere I travel. We started with their tasting flight of 5 spirits. My favorite was the Bourbon Whiskey - which is perfect to sip on, especially if sitting around a fire! The Bespoke Bourbon Cream was also awesome if you want something comparable, but better than Bailey’s. I’d love to mix that into coffee! The bartenders, Evan and Jeff, were super friendly and welcoming! Next, you get two speciality cocktails. The bartender, Jeff, had great signature cocktail recommendations. I had a drink made with their Lilac Gin, which was super tasty and refreshing. It’s a mix between the Lilac Bee’s Knees and a Gin Mule. Get it! You won’t be disappointed. I’ll definitely be back!

The bad news first: This place wasnt what I expected. I kind of thought it would be more mellow and upscale. The vibe, however, wasnt like that at all. Loud indy-alternative music blasts from the radio and the crowd, when we were there, was young and rowdy. That could be because a craft brewery is right next door and Im sure there is a spillover effect. The tasting room wasnt much different than a bar. And the service was poor. The tour started haphazardly, with no warning and without us.The good news is that the manager was very apologetic and insisted on doing what she could to make things good. We finally had a tasting, and that was OK. They have a couple of tasty spirits, and we did buy a bottle of gin.

Giving them 4 stars for the tour and tasting even though Im not a fan of their products per se.Tour guide was knowledgeable and happy to answer questions...and happy to involve the production staff when there was something he didnt know. Tasting afterwards was 4 decent pours (gin, bourbon, apple cider & bourbon, and their version of Baileys), all introduced with a brief background. The bar had a good atmosphere and was a good place to hang out before and after the tour. They serve various cocktails and a few beers. I forget whether or not they sold wine (Im thinking yes but its not something I personally pay attention to).
