I’m so glad I found this place years ago. I was purchasing cake flour by the box and it was getting very expensive. Niblack sells cake flour 6lb for $7.50 which it use to be $6.50 pre Covid. The store is always clean and well organized.Also, if you want to try different flours this is the place to visit.

I purchased difficult to find bread making flours and grains. Worth the trip. Near an hour drive. Also,looking at your inventory of dried chilies, your description of pasilla is incorrect. They are not poblanos. Anchos are dried poblanos. Although pasilla is an acceptable substitute for many. Thank you.

I really like their Chinese 5 Spice. Also use the granulated garlic and smoked sweet paprika. The quality of their products I find to be superb. My wife uses their lentil, split pea & rice soup mix called Harvest. And the staff is very helpful and customer oriented. Great place!

Wonderful little spice shop. I always walk out with more than I expect to. Its one of the only stores I actually feel better after going into. The whole place is organized alphabetically, with multiple sizes for most products. Friendly staff and a huge selection. Id recommend it, even if youre not actually looking to buy any spices. Its just a really nice experience.

I was so happy to have finally found a spice store. This place is amazing they have EVERYTHING you would ever need while cooking or baking and the prices are outstanding, you know the times you find a recipie and it calls for a pinch of something you go to the grocery store and there you are spending $8 on something youll never use again, well this place has the prices beat they have little spice bags that are very cheap under $4 and its very full in quantity. I have told all my friends about this place, went in stocked up and will be back to do another stock up of other spices as well. I heard you can also catch them at the public market as well!

Great place to get spices. You can even buy in large containers e.g. vanilla extract in 32.oz. or cocoa in 10 lb bags. They also have many kinds of flour and other baking needs. The wall of hot sauces is impressive as well. Customer support is 5 star plus!

Staff was friendly and willing to take time to answer any questions. They have a very large selection of spices and seasonings. If you dont see something you are looking for just ask them. They also have an assortment of hotsauces too. The quality is mainly why I go back, their products are fresher than any grocery store in the area.

I only recently found this shop and I wish I knew about them ages ago. All the products we have tried have been fantastic. Their prices are very competitive at all the unit sizes and down right cheep if you need something in large quantity. They are now my go to resource for spices.

Hands down the best place to go for seasonings. Wegmans is great but they dont have what Niblack has for rubs and seasonings. The Yankee Cherry rub is one of my favorites during grilling season and is highly recommended. Of course they have pleanty of other cooking ingredients but Im not a baker so I dont know much about that stuff. Also a good selection of local packaged sauces and condiments.

Niblack foods has a ton of variety of odd ingredients for the odd recipe. Its fun to look around the store for random things. Its great for the gluton free person in your life if you need those kind of specific ingredients.Unfortunately they did not have what i was looking for in stock. I would have ordered some if they asked me if they could order it for me but they seemed to not care that much. Unfortunately for both us that meant that they didnt get my business and nor did i them. I suppose its off to amazon to order what i need. This is exactly why customer service is so key. I went to the store looking for a precise ingredient that I can order online and they didnt even offer to do so for me. Its not the first time i have gone looking for it either, they must just never order it.The redeeming factor: they saw me putzing around and did offer to help me look for it. However, i hope they learn for this review that they can just ask to order it for me or someone else.

They have grown from a fairly small store to one of the best places in Rochester to get bulk items. They have spices, beans, grains, cereals, nuts, bulk snack items, gluten free products, flours, all kinds of bulk baking supplies, honey, local condiments (like mustards and lots of hot sauces!), jellies, you name it. Check them out if you need quantities larger than what they generally sell in stores. I do!

This place used to be called Tadco and I went there with my mother back in the 70s. I go to Niblack now to get fresh herbs and spices at a great price. I live in Boston now and I can visit Penzeys but I prefer to come here and get a bigger selection at better prices.
