Always a positive experience working with Adam at G&G. Hes very knowledge. Helps us select equipment that we can all use. Delivery & set up is great.

I work at a place that recently contracted with GG to put down rubber matting in part of the weight room and turf in another part. The organization also ordered over $50,000 in weight equipment which included 5 power cages. GG did a 3D rendering of the space showing where all the equipment would be, saying it would fit nicely. The 3D image showed the 5 power cages lined up in a row, the way we wanted. However, when they installed the matting they only put down platforms for 4 cages. They said there was enough room for all 5 cages but not the 5 platforms (which are all rubber). So now the 5 cages will be offset from the 4 platforms. Additionally, they did not level the floor underneath where there is transition from concrete to wood before installing the rubber. So there is a ridge almost the length of the room. And the turf does not lay flat on the floor, there are humps in it where it doesnt appear to be glued down and the seams are easily visible. The turf was laid down 2 days ago, maybe it needs more time to settle, I dont know. Im just very unhappy in the installation so far. I can forgive them being a month late with it, seems everything is running late but the quality of the installation of the flooring is just so disappointing.

Ive been putting my home gym together and John has been great to work with. He hasnt price gouged me during pandemic. Hes very professional and really pays attention to details.

I was pretty excited to find a business that would still do in home delivery and assembly of treadmills during the quarantine that I was more than willing to pay the ~$170 delivery charge and $200 more for the treadmill than I could have purchased it for directly from the manufacturer. The delivery went smoothly and everything was fine for the first 5 days, then the belt would not stay centered on the deck to save my life. After spending several hours each day, for 2 days, trying to adjust it myself I gave up and figured a professional will likely have better luck. After scheduling service with Dave, a rep in the service department who was pleasant, confirming the appointment with a female rep whose name I didn’t get, also very pleasant, Brian, a tech who was very personable, came and made some adjustments and seemed to rectify the situation. To be clear these 3 individuals are the only reason 1 star was not given, as they are exactly how a customer that spent over $2,000 on a purchase expects an issue with the purchase to be handled. The 3 of them were pleasant, professional and easy going.After the adjustments was made the belt began drifting again the next day, however, the issue was then compounded by the fact that right after the belt began to drift while I was in the middle of it’s Sprint 8 program, the electricity in half my home loudly popped and completely shutoff. Not a single circuit breaker was tripped so an electrician had to be called. The electrician had verified that the treadmill had fried the wiring in several rooms in my home since it required a dedicated circuit and was not on one. I specifically asked the sales representative at G&G and discussed electrical requirements of the treadmills he showed me and wether or not dedicated circuits were needed. The 2 models that I looked at purchasing and the 1 I eventually purchased were both presented as not needing dedicated circuits. So now when I called the service department, I unfortunately did not get any of the 3 individuals I previously mentioned but instead got a service rep that was extremely rude and condescending and would only respond with you should have read the owners manual before purchasing a treadmill requiring a dedicated circuit. Perhaps I am the ignorant one for making a $2,000+ purchase, based on the answers to a very specific set of questions you are asking a sales representative. I can really only laugh at this point, as I get to pay an electrician to retire a couple rooms of my house and I’m now the proud owner of a treadmill that has a belt that won’t stay straight and is likely only good for hanging clothes on to dry. I knew I should have just bought a Peleton at half the price.

Have been shopping and looking at equipment at G&G Fitness in Henrietta for many years. I have had great service from the staff and one person who seems to help me more than anyone else is Adam. His knowledge and help have left me wanting to write this review. He goes above and beyond even when I tell him I am not ready to purchase but just want to see whats new. Did not try to sell me on anything else just not like your average sales associate. I was told they were overpriced but as my gym is closed, I needed an adjustable weight bench. Went to the on sale section and when I saw a bench for over $400.00 bucks marked down from over $500.00 bucks, I was shocked! They are outrageously expensive! Don’t waste your time here.

I wouldnt of gave them that even but i was there today and besides rude they are taking advantage of what is going on with this virus. I tried to bye a bench and he admitted the price he was asking was double the price and with all no hesitating didnt care he was rude arrigant and a pearson who when in a crises will do all they can to capitalize on misfortune. I will never forget the experience and would and will never say one good thing for how we were treated and how someone could be so ruthless on all of our misfortunes .

Picked up some great equipment at what I think was a very reasonable price. Received some great service from Adam, who was very helpful; made good recommendations for me, without pushing, that I felt were customized for what I am trying to accomplish. Ill definitely go back there for the next piece of equipment I buy.

We had first class service during our two visits to G&G Fitness last night. On my first visit I was met by Bill Hawken, who spent a good five minutes discussing my fitness needs, goals and history before even considering showing me any sort of machine.He took me to see one of the new Zero Runners which are literally brand new in store and I suspect are amongst the more expensive possible purchases. I want to make it absolutely clear right now that from my perspective, his decision to do this was absolutely in line with the answers I had given for my fitness needs. When I walked in the store I had just left another store where I could have paid $400 for a reconditioned treadmill. By the time I left G&G Fitness with my wife, some 20 to 30 minutes later, we were seriously considering spending 10 times that amount on a brand new piece of equipment.On our return a couple of hours later Bill was very gentle and helpful, without trying to pressure us in any way to consider a purchase. He continued to be incredibly helpful and knowledgeable with his product reviews and discussion.We felt very looked after and genuinely guided by someone who seemed more interested in our fitness goals than in whether or not a sale took place. My experience with Bill Hawken was great. I came in looking for what I could do to improve my health by doing normal things differently. He showed me a walking desk (because I sit a lot in my job. He also suggested using an exercise ball instead of a chair, and sold me one for home. And he also showed me how to better use a Bosu ball that I already had to move toward my goal of regaining fitness. As I was checking out, he talked to me about nutrition. All around, he was very knowledgable, and was very customer focused. I am a very satisfied customer.

He listened carefully to all the answers. The treadmill he suggested initially was the one that I eventually purchased and had delivered yesterday. I did try some others there, but the one he zeroed in on initially was the one. He listened well. (And kept me below budget!)I told him I wouldnt be buying that day, but I also wanted to talk stationary bikes. Knowing my fitness needs, he asked Just curious. Why a bike and not a rower? Having always been curious about them, I gave two of them a try and absolutely loved the second one! But Im not buying today, I insisted.Home I went with Bills card/model numbers and prices in hand. But geeeeez, I couldnt get that rower off my mind. Within 2 hours I was back. I saw absolutely nothing to be gained by shopping around or waiting. I bought both the treadmill and the rower. By this time Bill felt like an old friend. His knowledge about what he sells, his ability to read a customer, his sense of humor, and his excellent listening skills make Bill a pleasure to deal with.He spent extra time to show me some other items I inquired about and I went back, with my husband, to purchase those a few days later. All of my equipment has either been picked up or delivered and Bill promptly followed up with me last night to make sure that things went smoothly with the delivery. Again, he listened carefully to what I had to say. Service after the sale is always a huge thumbs up in my book.The large store is bright, clean and well stocked. I always felt welcome and appreciated as a customer. The two other salesmen (John and Adam) I interacted with on my 3 visits were polite and professional. I was impressed that although I wasnt his customer, Adam remembered my name some 4 days later when I returned. Alas. I have nothing bad to say at all. Hi, I went to GG Fitness in the Rochester, NY location. I am a unique person physically, to find equipment that I can use. I have had multiple knee surgeries and am waiting on a total knee replacement. I met Bill Hawken there and was explaining my situation and limitations/barriers. This is when I met my dream machine. It is a Concept 2 rowing machine. I fell in love with this piece of equipment. I also have time barriers being a single Mom being able to go to a gym with a tween daughter has not been easy. So after laboring over the purchase and visiting the store multiple times, and Bill spending time with myself and daughter, her and I both decided this would be a perfect family Christmas present. So not only did Bill make the purchase hassle free for me, he also went above the call of duty and while my daughter and I were at Christmas eve service, came to my house set up the rowing machine for me and wrapped it...So when we got home from Christmas eve service, my daughter was squealing with delight that their was a huge present next to our Christmas tree!!!! That was priceless for me. So if you ask the Cosmos Chics if there is a Santa Claus, our answer will be gleefully be yes there is! I have been a customer at G and G for many years. They are the best resource in Rochester for a guy like me that was a serious athlete since 1982 and transitioned into a 64 year old 8 weeks post surg total knee replacement and a L2345 back surgery last year same time.First rate quality equipment here. A few weeks ago bought a Life Fitness upright bicycle from G and G. Adam Buckholtz, my salesman is also a personal trainer and he advised me per my physical therapy. My wife and I love this Life Fitness bike btw. Smooth as silk. Well worth the money spent. And they delivered and set up for a reasonable fee.Adam knows his equipment and will work with you and freely share proper body mechanics, recent technology, and offer good pricing. I am buying a 15# slam ball (Adam suggested for rebuilding my lost core strength) and a rubber coated dumbbell set and a rack. I price shopped on line and G and G is right there, only I can stop in today and pick it all up.I have no interest in G and G at all.
