My son looks forward to his sessions every week. Adam is always encouraging and positive. Meetings are always productive. Great communication and great people. Couldnt be happier with this place.

Mary and I wanted to express our thanks for everything you have done to foster Matthew’s musical interests. Rochester School of Music, along with the staff, all share a love of music and it shows in everything you do. From scheduling sessions with an instructor to buying musical supplies from your staff, our experience in our son’s musical journey could not have been better. If it were not for Matthew starting a job and driver’s training, he would still be in lessons. Matthew knows that he has a solid foundation and can advance in drums by practicing on his own. As a parent, I am very proud of Matthew’s abilities on drums for the time that he has spent on lessons.We would personally like to thank Nick for his guidance and tutoring of Matthew. He has always been available for Matthew and he makes the lessons enjoyable and fun for him as well. Matthew would always look forward to the lessons with Nick and do his best to make sure that he was practicing everything that he was taught. Our son really enjoyed his time at JC’s school of music. We saw him develop his drumming skills while at the same time having fun. Erika made sure to keep us up to date with the communications and all the personnel were really courteous. I would definitely recommend JC’s school of music.By the way, this is Alex and Ivy. And forgot to mention that the concerts were also really fun and the backing band/musicians were a really nice touch!

This place is very dedicated to making sure their students have a great experience. My son has been taking drum lessons here for years and has become a fantastic musician.The instructors are all talented and passionate as well as patient. There are opportunities to engage in lots of other events and activities - that include the whole family - if you are interested, like outdoor concerts and performances at local venues and special classes (like drumming sessions).Joe is super engaged and creative and always trying out new things. They have great programs that encourage kids to get to the next level. THey sell all the equipment that you could need or want at good prices, and are super educated on what you might need - or NOT need They are flexible on class times when our schedules change, and also virtual private lessons during covid.This place is cozy and fun and has added a lot of musical color to all our lives! NOTHING but GOOD THINGS to say about Rochester School of Music.

Over the past few years our family has been pretty involved with the Rochester School of Music. Both our son and daughter have been takinglessons there for both drums and piano. All of the teachers we have had have been wonderful, and have made it fun for the kids to learn!The Rochester School of Music has been a very welcoming, positive and rewarding experience for our family. Each year we have been given the opportunity to play in a recital, or on stage in a performance with a live band. And we have also taken part in summer bbqs, casual jam sessions, and the annual Rochester Christmas downtown parade.The Rochester School of Music has become like family to us, and we highly recommend them to anyone looking to pursue any aspect of music.

My son Alex takes drum lessons with Henry and loves it. My daughter Alyssa takes lessons with Nicole and loves it. Joe the owner treats everyone like family. The kids get real world experience with different public playing events. I’m inspired to start taking drum lessons again myself. I highly recommend checking this place out for you or your children.

My 13 year old son has been taking drum lessons from Nick for about seven months. I’m so impressed by how much he’s learned. Nick is a great teacher - very experienced and personable - and my son has gone from just “trying” drums to really loving it. Would highly recommend Rochester School of Music!

Excellent teachers and friendly staff. My 7 year old son started playing the ukulele with Ben as his teacher in March 2019 and now 9 months later was performing beautifully at his first recital. Hes learned so much in such a short time, hes playing like someone whos had far more experience in music lessons. He can now read music, handle an instrument, and apply what hes learning on the ukulele to his piano playing at home. I am so happy my family chose Rochester School of Music for music lessons!

Great place for piano lessons! My high school daughter is motivated and enthusiastic about continuing her lessons. Teacher is flexible in allowing my daughter to choose her music, in addition to the lesson books.

Miss Nicole is a great piano instructor. She teaches very well, and Ive learned a lot in her lessons. Shes easy to get along with and a generally great person overall.

My son has been taking drum lessons for 4 years now at JCs and looks forward to it each week. Joe is very involved in the community and donates a lot of his time bringing music out into the community. Staff is very professional and knowledgable. They make it fun for the kids. I love the neighborhood music store atmosphere, friendly staff. Theres a great selection of anything you could possibly need, if not in store, Joe can get it! Love this place!!

My daughter loves learning guitar at Rochester School of Music with her coach Jacob. For her, it is an amazing experience and she wants to keep doing it.

The crew at JC Drums is phenomenal, in each and every way! The teachers are incredibly patient and fun, and the staff is very supportive in helping with all the needs I’ve had. Overall, it is a great experience!

My daughter had fallen behind in band with her clarinet practice, but after just a few weeks with Miss Samantha her interest had been renewed! She’s a great teacher, and helped her greatly to get caught up to her peers.

We have been with JCs/Rochester School of music since my daughter was 6 years old started with kidzrock. She loved her experience with the keyboard so she continued taking piano under Ms. Nicole. She loves taking piano lessons with Ms. Nicole and it is great that she has added doing piano theory as well. Ms. Nicole is very flexible and adjusts her teaching style with the students. She keeps my daughter interested and eager to learn.

JCs is a great music school! The staff & teachers are very friendly. The Rock Show they held was so great being able to see all the students play. My son is really enjoying learning to play the drums!

We had our 5 year old boy at KidzRock class and was great!! It was always very relax and fun for the kids to learn, the teachers love for music really like us, and the final show was such a great experience for everyone.

JCs is a great place to learn music. We have been going since the past 8 years and my son enjoys the lessons and has become a good drummer.
