This Tops was always well stocked and the staff were nice, but the store felt dated (the lighting was dim and the tiles were dark beige). It made the store feel less clean, even though you could tell the staff cleaned. The product section especially felt dark with the darker floor in that section. It just didn’t feel welcoming, despite being a really decent store otherwise!

Very clean store. There are also a lot of self checkout cash registers.

Cannot shop here anymore. Been shopping here since early 1999. The last year, this store constantly smells of sewage gases... not what you want to smell in a grocery store. After my final night of buying rotten food I am writing this review. I think I am going to be sick from the one shrimp I just ate, with a long use by date left. DO NOT buy anything perishable from here. Fruit is always miss ripened. Meat is hit or miss and anything seafood is horrible. I cant imagine management knows about this stench. Cant even buy a small salad... the cucumbers are like cardboard. Basically... just dont buy anything here made by someone at Tops, and stringently check every package for expiration dates. I cant shop here anymore.

I went in here with my son to get some bread and cheese and he walked in first and ran straight out and said “Dad it’s so bad in there it smells so bad” and I checked it for myself and OH SWEET MAMA IT REEKS!! What is going on in there?? Is the bread and cheese expired?? I will be getting my bread and cheese from a different store for the time being!

Usually tops does a decent job but on my recent trip one of their stock People took my cart while I went to find something up an aisle and use the restroom, and started putting it my groceries back.

This is a review of the Market Fresh Cafe. If I didnt know any better I would swear that the cooks here were featured on Top Chef or something. Every single dish Ive had is absolutely amazing. Their potato salad - YUMMERS! Their rotisserie chickens are well seasoned. They even got me to start eating lemon chicken again. (In most places they taste like youre eating seasoned lysol!)TWO WORDS: BREAKFAST PIZZATheyve got the best b-fast pizza in the game right now. Better than Wegmans. Better than Salvatores. Better then anybody. HANDS DOWN.You want a fruit and veggie tray? Go get you one! You want some bagels? Go get you one. You want some croissants? Get some!Its all good.

It REEKS inside lately—what is going on? I go here all the time, but I’ll have to stop because the smell is actually unbearable. It’s concerning.

Ordered a fish fry and get it home to find theres no tartar sauce... So its back to the store. I explain to Customer Service what happened and they acted like it happens all the time and made an excuse that they were busy. When its all said and done it was 2 trips to the store, missed dinner with the family, and ended up with cold fish... Not to mention lots of frustration.

Stopped in today and saw turkeys priced at $0.48 per pound and decided to stock up. Purchased 4. When I reviewed my receipt I found one was rung up at full price. Went to the customer service desk for a refund.The manager that helped me argued with me that it was a limit of one per customer. Told her that is not what the sign said. She was very rude and condescending and argued with me. When I told her that if they post a price they must honor it she said they would go by what their circular says.I got my refund, but it was handled absolutely terribly. It is no surprise that Tops stores keep closing. Wegmans has much better customer service.I should add that the cashier that helped me was excellent. She couldnt have been friendlier or more personable. Thank you Kay Kay.

A sufficient grocery store-but this review is for Dawn at the service desk! I come here weekly to cash my paycheck and Dawn is always there with a smile on her face, handling everything with professionalism and joy! She really does make my day better and leaves a wonderful lasting impression-considering i see her for about 60 seconds! She is fast, efficient, and incredibly friendly. The rest of the workers at the service desk also do a great job-i just find myself in line hoping I get Dawn!!

Tops is a great market with everything youll need. Great place to shop. Handicapped parking and wide isles to navigate. Friendly very helpful staff and employee.

Very good. The Cherry here is much better than that in ALDI and Walmart. And price is lower than that in Wegmans. Love it.

Excellent supermarket in every respect, although I wish they had more vegetarian / vegan options. They have a great selection of products, good quality produce and a decent bakery. The cashier who served me was really nice too. I give this place full marks.

This is awful tops to shop at. If ever buying anything from carryout cafe make sure you watch them make your food because the staff sometimes doesnt wear gloves. Also the food at the wing bar sits out all night long and not sure how safe that is. Also if you do decide to shop at this location try going during the day as the night staff sucks. The overnight manager is not a very nice person. All around Id have to say this location always seems to be very dark and depressing looking. The lighting is dreary and the atmosphere is depressing and dusty and generally not too clean. The prices are outrageous probably double wegmans prices. The only thing I have good to say about this location and why i gave the 1 star is they do have GREAT breakfast pizza. The carryout cafe manager is great. She should be made the store manager as she seems to be the only manager in this location that seems to know what she is doing. Maybe a change in management might help this location do better.

I went to tops at around 1:50am to get panko breading and a few other small items. Half the store is blocked off so they can wax the floors. The guy waxing gave me a lecture when I went down one of the isles to get the 1 thing I specifically came for. When I asked the manager to grab it for me they said they couldnt. Not very good customer service. I truly dont care if your trying to wax the floor, is that worth losing customers? This is why these stores are going bankrupt.

Was in the store Wednesday night with my daughter and as soon as we started shopping we got accused of stealing meat and had the cops called on us!!!! The cops were very cool but I will be contacting my lawyer!!

The prices arent bad, theyre good if you have a tops card. The store is nice enough, but I didnt really like the fact that close to the entrance one could find products similar to the rest of the store, but more expensive because kosher or organic. That would be fine, if nearby one could find the similar, less expensive, not kosher items, but that is far from the case. To find them, one needs to go literally to the opposite side of the store, far from everything else.

Clean store...friendly efficient cashiers and always helpful staff. Shelves are well stocked and easy to find what youre looking for. Love this store!

Smells like actual sewage

This is the grossest grocery store Ive experienced in NYS. The staff is rude, inconsiderate, and incompetent. They do not want customers late night and will be awful towards you if you believe they are open 24 hours. Serious food poisoning risks throughout the store.

I love the vegetables and great selection of meats. I find that the prices are reasonable and it is helpful to have a Tops card. Good deals!

They have some stuff you cant find at other grocery stores, including Wegmans. This location is the best Tops in Rochester in my opinion. I like their lemon filled donuts and hot and ready chicken. For everyone complaining that the prices are high unless you have a bonus card, just ask the cashier if they have one you can use, they will scan one for you (they always do for me), or just sign up for one, its FREE and will only take a couple minutes

Quick in and out. Grocery Store. Customer service counter is usually crowded but very efficient. Professional staff. Fast food counter serves reasonably priced food but counter service closes around 4pm. Large variety of fresh vegetables and fruits. Male and female restrooms. Handicap accessible parking, handicap accessible entrance and electric shopping carts for handicapped. Fresh bakery and Citizen Bank on the premises. ATM available also. Security guard on premises.

This store is always clean and all employees that I have interacted with have been COURTEOUS,HELPFUL,KIND,AND ABOVE ALL HAVE EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS.

Not the best place to go if youre looking to save money, because tops focuses on quality, solid brands, and unique items. One huge plus is that this store is open all twenty-four hours of the day, and you can check out without the need for a human and awkward conversation.

Tops has been around for a long time. Its convenient, clean and the products are fresh. Since the remodel, it seems dark or dim inside. Maybe its the way the lighting is, especially in the produce dept.

I usually love ordering a breakfast pizza from here. They always question the name Christlesen but I never question the quality of the handwork.

Tops used to be decently priced, but as of lately prices have increased a lot. Most of the products that tops sells is available cheaper at other stores such as wegmans or walmart. Once in a while they do have bargains, but you have to catch them before the deal is over and prices go up again. Other than prices, the store is kept clean, shelves are stocked and employees are friendly and very helpful.

As most tops are they just hire rude, ignorant and judgmental emplyees that arent properly trained. Terribly managed and lack of information as to their own job functions.

Calling it Friendly is an insult. Though prices are reasonable, I have NEVER experienced friendly staff. They lack manners, grace, and sophistication.

Not as good as Wegmans. Tops prices are higher unless they are having a sale. They are much improved since having been purchased by Americans. They have upgraded the experience.

Great Supermarket with a wide variety of national Brands unlike Wegmans where your funneled into Wegmans branded food at least hear you have variety and choices. You must be aware of prices because tops can be a little more expensive by only items on sale

Well, I am the Jewish senior over 65 age but retired as the new shopper riding on the RTS buses and on ACCESS Bus Shuttles, I have heard that TOPS Supermarket in Brighton, N.Y. 14618 selling a general aisles of either frozen or dry kosher foods as I am looking to buy the kosher foods at best. Always looks high..the chyk never smiles, They has NO customer service skills....guess why theyre the night crew... This iscalso when they clean the store, so u will only have access to about 3-4 aisles...no note on door stating only 1door is open...figure it out I guess?! Just dont go after 11pm...then youre good!!👌

I enjoy shopping at this Tops Friendly Market in the morning after work. all the bakery items are warm and fresh, Less crowded and the employees are using their courtsey toward myself and other customers..great job.

The night manager at this store was completely rude and refused to assist me. I needed help finding an international calling card and this guy told me to come in the store and look for it myself. He cut me off and hung up on me.

Easy to find what I needed. And I was able to move checkout in a reasonably timely manner.

Ugh. Im not a huge fan of Tops in general, but this location is not great. Rude staff, they are always out of stock on things, all the produce always looks like its been sitting for days. This place is used mostly for quick beer runs, and thats about it.

Love the salad bar! Love the assortment of leafy greens. Plenty of choices for your lunch here. Store is clean, friendly staff.

A nice store, the problem is everything is more expensive here versus other leading grocery stores (Wegmans). Perhaps if I was a couponer I would have more success as they have a good variety of brands for products. As I dont have the time to coupon I find it annoying.

Conveniently located in a small plaza. I think Tops can be over priced. However if you grab a flyer on the way in, their sale items more than make up for the pricey items. I prefer Wegmans over Tops for fresh produce

Tops Friendly Market, I like shopping there its really the closest Market for me to shop, the prices are pricesey, but I like the sale they have when u buy the meat an get the other items free, they need to have someone around in the store more often to help the customers, But they do have nice cashiers, once they know u a few times its like u have known them for years,

Tops organic, specialty, diety restriction section is pretty impressive. They also have a Kosher section. Prices are slightly cheaper than Wegmans but product diversity is lacking.

This tops has the best dairy section in the area, worth the trip just for their yogurt selection.

Clean bathroom; good and varied products; self-checkout available; small sit-down area to eat.

I am not a fan of Tops to begin with, but this location has me baffled. It is more expensive than even other Tops stores. Not on everything. Just certain items. It usually smells in here, but that is a little better since they remodeled. It usually really stunk by the meat dept. But I digress. Once I was pricing my then brand of dog food, and Tops was more expensive than Walmart or Wegmans. They are also really slow here, especially at the service desk. Wegmans service desk is better staffed. Its not all bad. And I do go here for specialty items I cant get other places.

Its one of the better tops around - good for if youre tight on a dollar and one some really great sales - however their base prices are a bit more than wegmans. Meat isnt that bad but not great.
