Best selection of frames in Rochester, hands down. Myself and all of my kids are able to find something we like. Tons of kids frames to choose from and plenty of different sizes/styles for adults. We did the virtual exam which was awesome! I liked the new technology and quick painless way to do exams. Our tech/glasses person(?) Elizabeth was awesome. We were in a time crunch and she said “say no more” and took us right back. After all was said and done I spent for my whole family the same amount I would’ve spent on myself at mayo. Thanks Visionworks!!!

I have gone to this store for years and it was great. They have obviously changed the way they do business. They use remote technology for your exam with the doctor, which I have no problem with. But its impossible to call the local store. It goes to a central switchboard. They wont return calls. I ordered glasses and contacts, sent my mom to pick them up after my notification of them being ready. They couldnt find my order at all. Finally found what ended up being my glasses, but contacts werent there and it took another week to find them. I hope they re-think their business model. I wont go again.

Most of staff was extremely rude and unprofessional. The smaller lady with reddish hair was absolutely unbearably rude with her coworker who was trying help us, so we went elsewhere because when I asked for her manager she said she was one and pointed at the other rude lady.

Went to the Rochester store for a replacement frame. Luckily they had it in stock and sale.That’s where my luck ran out!The technician disassembled my broken frame and removed my lenses. After some time and some help from another technician she had the lenses in my new frame. I tried them on and they were quite blurry and I was unable to read fine print. I asked her if she put the right lenses in and she insisted she had. We tried adjusting the fit, that didn’t help. I asked again if she had put the in correctly again and she still insisted she had.I thought it was just me or the frames so I paid and left. On the way home it hit me that she had mistakenly put the left lense in the right frame and vice versa.I switched them at home and now I can see again.Nice work!

I came in today and completely misunderstood some information, and the technician was a great help and got my issues taken care of promptly and was a great help! I appreciate that things were handled so quickly, as I was in a hurry (on my way to work) especially when theyve been so busy lately from what Ive seen. Thank you!!!

I visited the Rochester MN location and had a great experience. They were very busy but seemed to be able to get people taken care of quickly. I was happy to see all of the cleaning taking place between clients despite the traffic. Every worker wore gloves and changed them often. They cleaned everything down to the pens after using them. There was about a 20 minute wait for my exam but that gave me time to pick out some glasses with Elizabeth who was great. The selection is a bit overwhelming but I told her what I wanted and she helped me find what a nice pair. She has helped me for years and really knows her stuff. I was nervous about the tele exam but Dr. Anderson was so sweet and you can tell truly cares about her patients. I definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for a good deal and safe way to get an eye exam.

I went to the Rochester, MN location recently and had a great experience. I can’t believe some of these reviews. Maybe I got different people but everyone I interacted with was awesome. Not only me tho I just got the vibe we were all there having fun. Chelsea was so kind and patient with me when I couldn’t decide. She gave me honest opinions and didn’t just try to sale me something expensive. They have a giant selection and the cheap ones are still quality. I’m looking forward to picking up my new specs!

Very grateful for the service we received. My daughter was leaving on vacation and was out of contacts. We went to the Rochester location only to find out that her subscription was expired. We where told that she had to have a new exam before we could buy more and that there was no openings that day for an exam. They manager Destiny overheard the conversation said she would check to see if they could squeeze her in and found a time for us to actually get in that day. We where able to get trials and the staff was super nice and gave us an extra set in case she lost or tore one while we where on vacation since they did not have boxes in store. My daughter was super happy that she was going to be able to get contacts for her first visit to the beach and not have to wear her glasses. Thank you so much for the great service and we will definitely be back to get glasses after our vacation.

Amber and Elizabeth were so helpful! They were short staffed and running around trying to assist their customers in a timely fashion. During my visit there was a man who became upset by having to wait while the two women helped everyone else, and tried to blame Amber for his wait, but she was very professional and patient. I always come to this location and am often helped by Elizabeth. I always have a wonderful experience here!

I seriously cannot believe this place. There was not one good thing I can say about this location. I have traveled all over the country, living in 22 states. Never have I encountered such a rude staff. They had little selection in frames, were disorganized, listened but did not hear what I said.I am appalled at the way I was treated at this location!When I got home, I called America’s Best where I was greeted with a smile, a hello and how may I help you. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, explaining everything to you in a manner in which you can understand.I would never recommend Vision Works to my worst enemy.Find a new team before you keep losing customers. Better yet, give them custom service training. University of Pacific offers great certification in customer service.I don’t give anyone a 1 star, nor a bad review. I understand customer service and how it feels when you’re greeted with a smile and a hello. Think about it, if you’re having a bad day and one person gives you a genuine smile... it can change your whole day. Being rude to a customer can create a snowball effect of bad publicity and low reviews.

Ive gone to this place for many years for vision screenings, glasses, and contacts. Recently Ive become very frustrated solely due to complications with scheduling an eye exam (should be the easiest part of the whole process). I scheduled an exam online and promptly showed up for my appointment only to be told there was a fluke in their online scheduling system and my time was double-booked. We rescheduled for next Wednesday. I received a text message reminder that it was actually scheduled for Thursday. I confirmed the appointment by text message. The night before my appointment, I get a voicemail saying I didnt confirm my appointment, they cancelled it, and made it available to someone else. The morning of the appointment, I received a text message saying we look forward to seeing you today. I am beyond annoyed that scheduling an eye exam has been this convoluted. Meanwhile I desperately need an eye exam as my vision has really worsened. Im giving two stars because historically I dont recall any issues with this location, but Im so bothered by the inability to confirm an appointment that I am going to look for eye care elsewhere.

This was mine and my sons first visit here in Feb/March 2021. I felt bad for the employees each time we had to come back. They were clearly understaffed and overbooked. Because of this they lacked in customer service. My son had to come back multiple times because he was getting contacts for the 1st time. I can handle that, but each time we had to wait at least 30 minutes before he was called back. The exam rooms were absolutely disgusting!! The base of the chairs had not been cleaned in a long time. My 13yo son even noticed it w/out me saying anything to him. When it came time to the contact class of putting them in and taking them out they didnt have enough trial pairs on hand. We ordered his contacts on March 3rd (early am) and they still havent shipped. (3/15/21) Once we were able to sit down with the staff and order our glasses and contacts they were very knowledgeable and friendly. I really do feel bad for them. They did do a phenomenal job at disinfecting! But everything else with this company has been awful. Not impressed! Everyone needs to go to Lens Crafters.

The staff is very disrespectful, unhelpful as well. Multiple times of going in and having terrible experiences. Tried to give them multiple chances but nothing changed. On the phone with them asking for my perception to be sent somewhere and the lady said that she would do it and hung up the phone, no have a nice day or bye, also she never did it and i had to call back. The second lady i got connected with i thought had said “What was the name of store you wanted to send it to” but instead she asked for my name, i replied and said the name of the optical and she said “that’s your name?” Just the lack of customer service and the workers having no respect is enough for me to never come back nor recommend this place to anyone!

We have been customers here for 5+ years and the service has significantly gone down hill, so badly that we will be finding a new eye doctor. A month ago, I stopped in to get my daughters glasses fixed and unfortunately they were unable to be fixed. She needed a new prescription, so we discussed waiting until January, when insurance would cover the exam and new glasses. They informed me that there would no longer be an in-person doctor (whom we loved) and all exams would be virtual. I decided to give it a shot and make the appointment. Today, I get a voicemail that she cant have the exam, she is too young for a virtual exam. I called them and was told that she isnt too young, she had no idea where that information came from. She informed me the problem is that our insurance wont cover a virtual exam and there is no longer an option for an in person exam. I wish this had been discussed a month ago when they knew I was waiting solely for insurance purposes. Now I will have to wait to make an appointment elsewhere. The woman on the phone was not even apologetic. Customer service has gotten terrible, you know longer have to option to see a doctor in person. I will take my services elsewhere

I love the doctor he made me feel welcomed and very comfortable during my exam. He reminds me of an ol time friend I use to have. The store seemed to be extremely busy and a couple customers were even being way rude to them. Which they had no reason to be. They managed it all quite well. I got the pair of glasses picked out n I am overall satisfied .

Terrible service!! The Doctor is the only reason I would ever go back he is great with my kids. The dark haired and skin gal was very nice trying to help but the other workers kept interrupting and the lady Daphanie was so rude and arrogant that we decided it was best leaving.

Finally get someone answer phone said he isn’t working with us any longer. Well why is he on your website..?! I had an appointment to pick out a pair of glasses at 12. By 12:30 I was rudely asked to move my mask up my nose when I was just looking in the mirror with a pair on briefly. Also asked by 3 different employees if I needed help, which I stated yes and none were able to help. They helped other people that came in after I arrived. I angrily ended up leaving, worst customer service Ive received in a while. Girl I told didnt seem to care at all either.

My experience was wonderful. They took my insurance and that covered almost the entire cost. Even amidst all of the sanitizing that the staff did, they were great at helping me pick out a frames that I absolutely love. Will keep coming back in the future.

I understand that Visionworks is probably bound by corporate regulations, but my time there was...a time. Here are the facts:-The first time I came post-covid, I was hustled away saying that I needed an appointment to come in to even look at glasses-When I came with my mom to pick out glasses, they wouldnt let her in (I was not informed of this regulation when I made my appointment). They made her wait outside, and they wouldnt even give her a chair to sit on. SHE ENDED UP SITTING ON THE FLOOR of the mall.-When I finally picked out my glasses, they told me that pair wouldnt work because of the size. Again, completely reasonable, but it wouldve saved a lot of time if they had told me what sizes were compatible with my prescription prior looking through the options.-After I had to find another pair of glasses (they did help me find a style I liked, and I appreciated it), they were very helpful and accommodating, and gave me a 40% discount (we had asked for this prior to shopping because the BOGO deal just didnt make sense for me; I dont need multiple pairs of glasses.)-Overall, they did get the job done (we will reassess when the glasses actually come), but it was a rough experience in terms of customer service.

Has been my regular eye place for the last few years. Experienced my first eye emergency this last weekend and saw online the only open availability was 5+ days away. When I called to see if they had anything sooner the women actually suggested a day AFTER my scheduled appointment. Was seen later that day at another clinic. Tried to call today to cancel my appointment as I keep getting email reminders, sat on hold for over 5 mins. So I guess they will be getting a no-show appointment tomorrow.

If I could I’ve this place and it’s employees a review below 0, I would. They got my prescription wrong THREE TIMES. They were extremely rude about it every time and told me I should just try to wear them for a few hours, my eyes would adjust. I’ve been wearing glasses for 18 years. Yes, they do need to adjust a little bit...NOT to the point where you literally can’t see out of them. They then fitted me for contacts. Great news..the contacts are to big for my eyes (all contacts fit different...I ended up looking it up cause I thought I was crazy) then to make things better, I called them and asked them to mail my prescriptions to me because I moved 2 hours away. They never did. 😡

If you want a thorough exam in a clean friendly environment this is the place for you.If you’re going to be a Karen and try not to wear your mask, just stay home.I went here for my exam (it’s appointment only and you can do it online) and was pleasantly surprised by all the precautions the employees and doctor were taking. They cleaned everything that got touched and they didnt use the same gloves with everyone like some places. They also made sure everyone had their masks on. It was hard to watch customers be so demeaning to employees just because they are obviously following policies. What’s even worse is that it didn’t faze them. The girl kept her cool, was polite and shrugged it off like she gets talked to like that everyday. Sad that this is the “new normal”. Sure it might be hard to choose new glasses with a mask on, but it was also nice to go shopping and not get Covid. And it was great to go into a store and feel safe.

Need my sons glasses fixed that we got at a Visionworks in cities. Called because online when looking for directions said need appointment but showed none for days and the rude lady said need appointment for everything nothing open today. I said he needs them it’s important!! She was rude and basically hung up on me!! My original purchase the staff and store was great very nice always helpful he is 6 and blind. I will never come to this store. We went to Eyemart they gladly helped us they have COVID rules also and handle them great took glasses had to get on the list and wait in my car until called was about 20 minutes. Excellent service and will be getting my money in the future since we moved.

Was in the store with my daughter six months ago and was great service doctor was great with our kids and the staff was helpful. Went in for myself (I have glaucoma so I see a specialist didn’t use them for exam)and nobody even said hello I was in the store over half hour before I walked out it was ridiculous four people working and just talking and one on her cell phone. The bigger guy who helped my daughter before and gave us good service was helping somebody already otherwise the store was empty.

Went in recently for an eye exam. The representative that greeted me at the door and walked me through the COVID process was amazing, she chatted with my daughter and was very pleasant! Dr. Miron was great, he showed me results and explained them more than any other provider Ive seen and was awesome with my 6 year old. Then it came to ordering glasses. The representative who helped me (different than the first one), worked on sizing and ordering my daughters while I was looking for frames for myself. When I got to the desk she had everything already completed and was ready for my card. I didnt realize until after that she added non-glare to her glasses without asking if I wanted it or explaining what it was/cost. I then saw her add the Elite Non-Glare to my sunglasses and she didnt say a word to me about it until I asked. She then couldnt explain why it was better than standard nor what my insurance would cover or wouldnt. When I asked she asked someone to tell her how to look it up but then never actually looked up that specific benefit.

Great experience, actually kinda surprised by all the bad comments... as far as covid stuff come on people it’s a standard practice where ever you go accept it and move on. Well I was in the store several customer tried to take of mask and yelled at staff because they didn’t like some new rules in order to come in the store me personally I appreciate the caution and stance the company and staff take to make sure that we the customers and they stay safeEven though this place is a retail store they are at the end of the day an EYE CLINIC and as such they take every precaution. The staff clean every frame desk work space after each person and thenchange gloves and wash handsEverything else was great they treat me with respect were helpful and kind the guy that helped me was knowledgeable funny and personable and the girl we got a 2nd opinion from was very helpful you can tell they could use more help my suggestion To people who come Here is have a little patience cause they are doing what they can to help everyone.Also show up a little early cause you have to check in and have a temp taken at the front and there is sometimes a line.

Filled out the online request four times and talked with corporate office several times because the store closed and I need my prescription. Nobody got it to me going on almost six weeks. Yesterday I call make sure the store is open they are so I go in and the manager was extremely rude. I will take my business elsewhere!!! Worst customer service experience that I have ever had! After not hearing about my order after 2 weeks I called to check on my glasses and found out they were never ordered and I was told I needed to come in again to show them what glasses I picked out because they dont have a record of what I ordered. I stood at the door for 30 minutes and neither employee acknowledged that I was waiting. When the woman finally did she said oh yah I heard you were coming and continued to assist her customers. After 5 more minutes I finally left. It was already 10 minutes after they were closed. I don t understand why it would have been so difficult to take 30 second time to set out the tray for me to show them the glasses that I picked so that I could have been on my way. Had I not called to check on my glasses would anyone have realized that my glasses were never ordered?

The Staff and Doctor are great!! My elderly grandma is very particular on what she wants and Destine and the other girls did a great job reassuring her selection and making suggestions, the doctor answered her many questions politely and was patient with her. This place was very busy but they all work together and we never felt rushed or neglected. We even got her bifocal glasses in a couple hour we had lunch down the hall and came back for them, was amazing service and saved me a lot of time not having to bring her back another day.

I had the quickest exam ever. I drive 50 minutes to get there. The first two pair I couldnt read my phone. I had a second exam and after 2 more weeks my glasses came back and like nothing had changed. My credit card was reimbursed and I still wear my 2 year old glasses which are better than the ones from visionworks.

The optometrist was wonderful, quickest exam I have ever had. Everything else was not pleasant. I completed paperwork online only to be told they didn’t have it. I had to do it again. When I went to pick up my glasses, the staff didn’t seem to care it they fit correctly. I asked for an adjustment on one pair and was told that was the best she could do. For the amount of money I spent there, I expected better service. Very disappointed. Will not go back.

Very helpful staff! I was in town visiting family and my lens fell out of my glasses. My sister and I were going to the mall so we stopped in. They fixed my glasses that I didnt even buy from them, no questions asked and didnt charge me anything. If I didnt live so far away I would definitely be back for my glasses next time!

The optometrist was very professional, honest, and detailed. This was not the type of optometrist that would suggest glasses for everyone, which earned our trust when we found out one of our kids needed glasses. Few frames were covered by our insurance, which would have been easier to find if they had a visible color code or tag of some sort as frames get moved around faster than they can rearrange the displays. Glasses arrived within a week. The staff was nice and patiently adjusted the frames for the best fit on our daughter when we went to pickup. ...and yes, shes doing better in school with glasses.

I was really impressed with the service there. The doctor did not try to upsell me bifocals when I came in concerned that I needed them. Often the worry with chains like this is that the doctor doesn’t really care and they’re just going to try to sell you expensive stuff. He did not at all. And I really appreciated that.

I always get my contacts online cause it’s cheaper I told Elizabeth before I seen the doctor. When I got done she told me the price of a year supply of my contacts as soon as I come out from the doctors office and I was shocked it was ten dollars cheaper and I got a fifty dollar rebate and free sunglasses. We are visiting the Mayo Clinic for a couple weeks, my glasses broke and I have terrible vision. One of the nurses suggested this place and said sometimes you can get them next day. So I went in with no appointment thinking I could get glasses, not realizing I have no copy of my prescription from my country. They got me in with the doctor in very little wait time and helped pick out glasses and picked them up a hour later. At pick up this weekend I tried giving the nice lady a tip but she said they don’t do that, just give us a shout out on google and tell your friends. I bought the nurse Jackie a coffee today and told her was a great recommendation.

I scheduled an appointment about a week ahead. Vision works called me and left a message stating they needed my insurance information. I called them and gave them the information. The next day they called again stating they need my insurance information. I told them I gave the information the day before, she found it in their system.I go to my appt and give them my name and the staff person rudely said We called you twice about your insurance information I stated I had called back twice and proceeded to give her my card. She looked at it and very flippantly said they are not a provider for that insurance. I stated vision works is on the insurance list. I said couldnt you have told me when getting the information on the phone. No apology at all!!!

My wife and I walked around for 15-20 minutes trying on frames without any acknowledgement. Not a hello. Not a let us know if you need help. 3 people behind the counter chit chatting. We left without anyone saying a word to us.

I decided to take my son to a different optical place in town bc of scheduling conflicts and when the place had to call to get his last vision results the person who answered the phone was rude and difficult. She wouldn’t just read the results only fax and the person calling for me asked if she couldn’t or wouldn’t and she said she wouldn’t. This is extremely rude behavior and uncalled for. I will not be retiring as a customer and that is for me or my son. The persons name is Destiney at the Apache Mall location.

The staff was amazing. I only had to wait long enough for me to fill out my paper work. I was then taken back for my exam. The Dr. was very thorough I had an exam for both glasses and contacts. I did have the optho picture done as well as having my eyes dilated. I was given reassurance on my eye health as well as new prescriptions. Following my exam the girls assisted me to pick out frames, I could not see well because my eyes were dilated so they had me try on several wrote down the numbers so I may check again when my contacts come in. (This was my choice). I appreciate the time and care everyone gave me.

Staff is very helpful and great selection of frames. Dr. Miron does a great exam and I loved not having to have my eyes dialated since I did the opto picture. I would have paid hundreds of dollars for the same exam at mayo. I will be back for sure.

When I first walked into the store, no one engaged me. When I eventually got down to two pairs to choose from I had to ask for someones opinion.I ordered my glasses 8th of March and they told me theyd be due on the 18th.On the 18th I drove to the store only to have one of the ladies shrug her shoulders and say sorry when they realized they didnt have them done yet.A few days later I called and looked for my glasses again and was then told that they had been sent back on the 15th!Finally on the 26th I got a all and my glasses where done. But when I went to pick them up, the shades where black when I had ordered brown...so here I am, on 6th of April, and still no shades... Pathetic! I will never use this store again!
