Unfortunately this establishment is not accessible, the very first thing I noticed is complete lack of a menu. I can only assume that the entire staff is fully fluent in ASL and a variety of other languages since the absence of written offerings is no where in sight causing quite a barrier in communication. When I asked about a menu I was audibly scoffed at and directed towards the bakery which still left my questions unanswered. It’s 2021 to knowingly and willingly limit your consumer base to a small number of older folks who wouldn’t give this a second thought and young consumers who find lack of accessibility quirky and fun I couldn’t disagree more and find this misstep quite frustrating and frankly unacceptable.
Sandwiches are ordered through the right side door as you look at the cafe on Gibbs. The soup is also next level and a great way to beat the winter months. Grateful to have this incredible space in the heart of Downtown. The soups reliably taste more like saltwater than like any of their ingredients. Hot chocolate is too milky, not enough chocolate. However, Id have given them five stars had I just not ordered those, so Ill probably keep it there.
Great local coffee shoppe. Wont be disappointed
I love Javas! They have the best coffee and the best people thank you Celine, Tracy and Donald you are these bestest ever!!!😘🤗
A great cafe at both locations in Rochester, you know youre going to get a high quality beverage wether it be coffee or tea. I would highly recommend that anyone go here even just to stop and grab coffee
Food, drink and ambiance are good. Staff is not friendly or accommodating to simple special requests. Say thank you to anyone working there and see if you get a response.
Cant imagine a Saturday morning without it. Such nice staff as well!
Excellent coffee with prompt service.
Really nice place for coffee while people watching!
Relaxing coffee spot at the market.
Hip coffee place during the day, secret bar by night. This place is awesome!
Great coffee, people, and atmosphere. 13/10
For all the love of 3rd and 4th wave coffee 2nd wave still holds a place on my palette and I havent found anyone who does it better in Rochester, just something about that oily dark roast, charred and carbony yet not burned.. ya
Best coffee at the market, nicest staff ever
Great coffee/espresso and very friendly baristas!!
Theres lots of different coffee options at the public market, but this one is the real deal. Javas is a unique experience of great coffee, unique environment, and friendly baristas. I go every Saturday, get my produce, then grab a sandwich from Flour City Bread and an americano from javas. The combination is magical. Come with cash, they dont accept cards.Fun anecdote about that last statement, Ive not once witnessed someone be turned away because they didnt have cash. Someone in line has always offered to pay for them or the barista offers. Its one of those strange and uplifting moments of life when people actually do nice things for each other and this place seems to be filled with it!
Great coffee, tea, and cold drinks.
Fast and solid caffeination.
Doors were open, but only serve on Saturdays.
Its a nice coffee shop
The original coffee roaster, Javas is the epic coffee house in Rochesters Public Marker.
