Our favorite coffee shop in Rochester. High on the hipster level.8 oz and 12 oz coffee drinks, so order accordingly.
Bravo! Accidentally stopped here because I figured I wouldnt support the big corps that day. Wowza am I glad I did. I may never stop thinking about that almond croissant. The guy making the food was SUPER nice and friendly. I love that everything was only sweetened just enough and they used high quality ingredients. If I come through Rochester again I will have to stop again.
I absolutely love this coffee shop! They have delicious food, specifically the quiche! The atmosphere is comforting and is the perfect spot for any plant lover! The coffee is always expertly brewed and always consistent. Something unique about this business is the fact that the actual roast their own coffee beans, guaranteeing a delicious cup of coffee everytime! If you want to check out the roaster, got the Flats location!!!
A wonderful coffee shop. The owners clearly pay attention to every little detail; the space is wonderful, the presentation delightful, and the coffee excellent.
Wonderful little coffee shop. My maple late was quite good complete with the art. Prices are reasonable. The tables are large and great for study or working on a computer. Plenty of power outlets. Seating is neatly sectioned off so that it is convenient both for focused work or hanging out with a group of people. Find parking just behind the building reserved for customers. The overhead music was just a touch loud but not terrible. All in all, they’ve definitely earned 5 stars in my book.
The coffee is better than average on most days. However, this morning there was a gentleman at the bar with long, curly hair who made the best latte I have literally ever had.... and we used to live in the Seattle area so thats a big compliment! The espresso was brewed to perfection. Smooth, smokey flavor. No bitterness to it. My biggest gripe is Fiddleheads doesnt have a 20oz option or the ability to order ahead... but if you get that guy with the long, curly red hair at the bar - all your gripes will immediately dissolve when you taste that espresso!
My friend and I had some hibiscus rose iced tea and a cardamom pastry and the quality was incredible. The baristas are so friendly and talented. Highly recommend for a bourgeois coffee shop visit.
The tomatoes were perfection with slices of cucumber. The farmers cheese on the salad was very creamy and Rich and the balsamic vinegar was a nice acidic touch to counter richness. My husband said the whiskey cream sauce was tasty. We also had a round cookie ball which was slightly chewy and slightly sweet and the blueberry scone was more of a breadier texture and just slightly sweet. The bad for me was that the bread for my grilled cheese had a bit of a burnt taste and my husbands chicken in the pasta dish was not flavorful or browned. Husband felt like it had been boiled or baked in the oven and tossed in last minute into the dish. As for the margarita drink it was not very sweet which is a downside for me, but it was not too strong of alcohol which is a positive for me. Overall definitely a place we would visit again, dishes very fresh, and use local ingredients. The location is great and I love all the windows as they provide a nice brightness to the place.
Came here for a second time for meeting with a colleague and ended up staying for dinner. The atmosphere is lovely and the staff are very accommodating and knowledgeable. I asked about vegetarian options (of which there weren’t a ton) and they graciously offered to whip me up a delicious seasonal dish with a wonderful flavor profile! The hot chocolate is yummy and can be made vegan with oak milk. Perfect for a cold Rochester day.
Great staff that were very knowledgeable past basic menu questions. Wonderful pastry and made my 2yo son feel happy to tag along with Dad!
Specially curated bites and phenomenal coffee and seasonal drinks. Syrups, add-ins and flavorings are all house made and amazing. Best coffee shop in Rochester!
Very nice third wave coffee place, the only one in Rochester. Has a garden house decor with great service. Its very apparent that all who work here are passionate and knowledgeable about their coffee. The place is adjoined/divided with Forager Brewery also. Quality roasted beans at a good price and a rotating selection through their coffee club subscription.
That banana cream cold brew was delicious. Ill be back for more
I adore this place everything about it is so cute and the staff are very friendly and the service fast
Lovely atmosphere and staff. Best scone I have had in the US.
This was a great stop to go before my meeting. The latte was delicious and so was their egg and Gouda sandwich. The service was fast and everything was very good! The vibe is cool as well, you can sit, hang, and do work, while eating and enjoying some of the local artwork they feature. Only issue I found was I had to park a little far (parking is tough so definitely go to the public lot across the street; don’t be like me and attempt street parking!).
This is my new favorite.the thai latte had a very subtle flavor of coconut followed by a burst of espresso that made you want to sip and then sip again just because it was never quite enough. the feeling you get when you walk in is of a very fresh warm spot where you immediately start to breathe deeply. you don’t have enough time to look at everything because you’re so busy being relaxed. fresh green beautiful plants white tile touches of leather and wood. everything i love.
Nicely decorated. Good selection of other things besides coffee if thats what you are looking for. I was there shortly after it opened and was surprised that they didnt have many things to eat.
Very good coffee. trust me.
Awesome coffee with hands down some of the best sandwiches in town. The soups are amazing, the croissant are incredible. I’ll probably post again or update this once I work my way thru the entire menu. Super friendly staff that make it a joy to go there.
My new favorite coffee shop! I love the atmosphere, the staff are very kind and welcoming. And of course, the coffee is fantastic!
Love the variety on the menu and the food was fantastic. They offer unique soups and delicious sandwiches. The environment is comfortable even on a warm day. We went on a cold day so it was nice to get inside and warm up. My boyfriend Kyle and I met up with my cousin and her husband here. We all were very happy with this location!
Big fan of local coffee connoisseurs
While cleaning up the patio, the clerk dumped my drink all over the ground and my feet while putting it in a to go cup. Didn’t offer to replace it or refund it. Not a great experience.
Best pastries in town!
For me the cofee was phenomenal! However it is a quantity vs quality thing that caused me to give a 4/5 star. For $6+ to recieve a twelve ounce large latte seems like a pretty steep price to pay.
The pumpkin spice latte with oat milk was delicious! They even gave us a sample of apple pie! So yummy!
Excellent service! Beautiful coffee shop! Delish espresso! Recommend!!!
Nice ambiance!
Best coffee and atmosphere in Rochester!
Super cute establishment with great coffee! Would highly recommend!
Edit: I understand that the course dinner is no longer available, but I have it on good authority that the sandwiches are excellent.Totally recommend the dinner. The food was local, fresh, and so rich. The food was delicious, totally eat the courses and the tasting menu. And the bartender made a drink just for us. Try the Hemingway. It was delicious. My sister always has coffee here and recommended it for dinner. James Beard award winning chef! Go here. Enjoy. Plan on following the chefs recommendations. It is an experience. Worth every moment.
Wow! What a great tuna sandwich and ice tea. Friendly service, great food, and a nice location. I liked the plant wall and wood mosaic. Parking was weird but Im from out of town so maybe I missed something. I highly recommend this place. If there was one small thing to complain about it was between my fiance and I we picky had one slice of cucumber on our two side salads! Ha! Nothing to write home about. The salads were great though!! Go. Now. What are you waiting for??
The cappuccino was excellent (5/5). The food service was horrible (1/5). We arrived after lunch, 1pm, and waited 45 min and 1/2 our party (4/9 people) still had no food. Most of our party had to leave. The food was pretty good (4/5). No refund was offered. The only partial saving grace on the service was an apology from the kitchen manager at the end. If we eat their again it will only be if we have no agenda afterwards.
Artisan coffee. Welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. Friendly staff. Its my favorite coffee shop and worth the wait.
Such a sweet and wonderful place to visit with friends and share a cup of joe. So much green in this place too it’s almost like the air was even more refreshing inside than outside! Delicious coffee treats and friendly staff.
Very nice decor inside. Definitely the “dude bro” spot in town that tries really hard for that singular clientele image but the coffee is actually pretty good.
Great food, inviting atmosphere. Really enjoyed the quiche. I could sit here all day. Owners were also so nice, friendly and helpful.
Friendliest place in the world. Great chai and pastries!
Excellent food and nutritious too! Amazing quiche- they always have a vegetarian option as well! They also have fresh squeezed juice and it’s delicious! Love the decor too!
Possibly the most beautiful coffee shop I have ever been in. Whoever designed their interior should win an award. I came here for the first time the other day and ordered a drip coffee and a scone. Both exceeded expectations. I had a quick chat with the barista and the owner and they were both really friendly. I plan on coming back often.
I recently moved to the area, and was so happy to find this place! Its an awesome coffee shop. Ive tried lattes, iced coffee, and the maple latte, and all were excellent. Everyone working there is also very friendly, and it just has a nice vibe. A great spot to get a little work done during the day. Its also not far off the bike trail, which is a plus.
Great service and the server that was working help us pick out the coffee that we purchased. I will definitely be returning to this amazing place. The best part is that it is really coffee and I think that people will really appreciate that part of this business.
The fern decor is great and I like the airy feel of the place. Their drinks are good and the food is better. Best grilled cheese ever!
LOVE their fresh-roast coffee beans. I am a coffee enthusiast who roasts my own coffee at home using an antique coffee roaster and hot coals. Fiddlehead is my source of inspiration for a great-tasting roast. I sometimes get my roasts to come out to match Fiddleheads quality of bouquet and flavor and love it when I do! But I have never had a batch of beans from Fiddlehead that has fallen short on aroma or flavor. They really have their craft dialed in tight!
So it is National Coffee Day and I am at my new favorite place!!My world just became round again!!😊☕
This atmosphere 🌿🌱☘️💚always a good time .
Great to find a local coffee shop that has top quality coffee. My only complaint is powder sugar on the scones - it gets all over the car and my clothes.
Amazing Rochester coffee shop
Great place to go for a hot drink and something sweet. The barista even made my daughter a tiny hot cocoa in the mug we brought! Very happy with the friendly service we received here.
Wonderful aesthetics! From winter blues to rainy days, walking in brightens up your day with the energetic staff to upbeat music. This is a Rochester gem with some of the best cocktails in town! Always my first stop when I come to town.
Best latte Ive ever had. Hands down best in town. I like the lush green environment and relaxing, fun atmosphere.
We were very disappointed to learn that they will no longer have croissants, the number one reason we used to go there for breakfast. Coffee is very good. Ambiance is super charming with big city vibe!
Awesome atmosphere. Great all times of the day. I stopped in for my morning cup of coffee and ended up returning for lunch. I tried the Big Mike sandwich and it was delicious.
Compared to other coffee shops in town not my favorite. Their coffee menu is somewhat limited too. The decorations are cool though! Would be a good place to study.
Farm fresh dishes, and really, really good coffee. The server at the bar was incredibly friendly and made me feel very welcome. The entire time I was dinning there was a line for coffee, and I definitely know why. The location is a little off the beaten path, but well worth the journey.
There is definitely something incredibly unique and special about Fiddlehead Coffee Company and the people who own and run it. Patrick, Sarah, Sam, Charlie....all very kind and amazing people. I’ve just recently discovered this place, and have had incredibly delicious types of coffee drinks there over the past month. It’s now my first choice for a great meeting spot! The coffee, the staff, the ambiance. This place is extraordinary.
Fiddlehead has such an ambience and the people here are real. Passion can bring you a long way, and that is what the people of Fiddlehead are made of. Their drinks are delicious, with locally sourced ingredients, and the atmosphere is warm. I love to get work done here. Couldnt recommend it enough.
I have only been to this coffee shop twice, but I love it. I ordered the cappuccino and the blueberry strata and both are amaaazing. The music is good, and there are plants everywhere which is so cute. Highly recommend visiting... and who doesnt like supporting local businesses??
Unique. Creative. Innovative. Heres a place where I really feel at home. I had a cappuccino that had foam and coffee so perfectly melded it was heavenly---made with love! Their chocolate is to die for, with other yummy treats, plenty of room, and Forager next door. My daughter who was a barista in the Cities loves their flavor and technique at Fiddlehead. The ambience is beautiful as well as comfy. Dont miss this place!
Delicious food, great atmosphere, and even better service! Patrick, one of the owners, went out of his way to accommodate dietary needs, which was very appreciated. Our Airbnb host recommended that we check them out and we were not disappointed.
Go here if you want to throw away your money. Their coffee to go comes in a single size. That’s not the worst part though. I paid $3.50 for a 12 oz black coffee! It be one thing If it was fantastic coffee but it was just your average run of the mill cup. The plants on the wall are the only redeeming quality of this place. My recommendation is to drive down the block and buy your coffee elsewhere.
First time I’ve ever had a latte made in a cocktail mixer and served in a beer glass, but I loved it! I didn’t have time to get much else, but the environment was gorgeous and peaceful. Also, they have plant based straws 💁🏻💁🏻
Coffee: We had a pour over, which was the first one they had made - have only been making espresso/milk-based coffees to date. Given that, my experience with the pour over does not reflect the quality of their product. Especially since we didn’t try an espresso/milk-based drink. However, the pour over was not impressive.Atmosphere: Fresh. Filled with light hues and lots of minty green, it felt refreshing just to enter the place.Food: Decent. The Tones Malone was overpriced - could make one at home for half the price. The parfait was tasty, though!Service: Open to conversation! They were very friendly to us out-of-towners and helped us find other great places in Rochester. Conclusion: Great atmosphere that can justify your visit. Don’t get your hopes up with all of their products, though.
The amazing people working there make a real effort to get to know you. High quality coffee and pastries. Beautiful decor. 10/10 recommend.
Fine place. Good coffee. Nice version 2.0. Please get a new sign. Its kind of a joke. Recommend just the word fiddlehead in neon lighting. Think the painting nighthawks. Do it right. Give the corner something to look at and the town to talk about further
A cute, local shop with a charmingly retro vibe. The menu and layout are clean and to the point. The coffee is stupendous, but if youre looking for Caribou styled syrup drizzled monstrosities look elsewhere.
Service was great. Staff was polite and skilled. The drinks were delicious!
Brilliant high-quality house coffee as well as espresso beverages, wonderful owners, good internet connection, and excellent decor. A great place to come and work or just hang out with friends. And the background music is fantastic too. Roch needed more places like this. Highly recommend!
I still dont know if its a restaurant or a coffee.. it needs more variety of drinks to be a coffee, and a more extensive menu to be a restaurant. It looks like a nice place but not what I was looking for
Trendy urban coffee shop. What youd expect from shops focusing on the barista experience as well as the coffee. A great place to have a cup after a long day
Great atmosphere with a fantastic coffee and food menu. I havent tried the bar offerings yet. I definitely will be back.
Amazing coffee, nice variety of tastey lattes and freshly roasted beans. Highly recommend this place!
Wonderful and friendly service. Cappuccino was great. Difficult to spot this coffee shop from outside. Would have driven past but for google maps.
Went here for lunch on a Saturday. Spent >$50 for family of four. The first problem was that the tables were all taken by people doing their work and nursing empty coffee mugs, so we were unable to sit together or even close to one another for that matter. The second problem was that the grain bowls were tepid at best, rendering the poached egg placed on top a slimy addition which had no chance of coagulating into a nice rich sauce. For what its worth, the food tasted okay but was overpriced in terms of quantity and quality. Wont be back.
So glad they’re open again. The new location is beautiful with even more to offer. They have a full bar and serve food. I’m already planning my next return, tonight for drinks, and tomorrow for breakfast. There’s a parking lot on the east side of the building.
Absolutely beautiful little coffeehouse. Its quiet with lots of good seating, the staff are very friendly, and the coffee is amazing. I wish there was a larger selection of baked goods, but the rest of it makes up for it. The mocha I had was delicious. Great spot to read and relax for a couple hours.
Still could use some developing on their coffee menu, but the staff is super nice and dedicated, the space has a very open calming vibe with all the greenery inside. Soups were really tasty.
This place is the bomb for a coffee shop! Love going here. The ambiance is wonderful, the coffee, tea and food is exceptional. Sarah and her staff are a real treat as well!
We were so happy to find this place while visiting family nearby! It was so good, we came back each day we were there to try a different drink. They were all delicious! Traditional drinks like iced coffee and lattes, plus some more non traditional drinks. Zero disappointment here. Great service, fun environment!
When purchasing a $6 small mile latte, I expect to receive a decent coffee. However, after up charging me for non-dairy milk, they informed me that they didn’t have any non dairy options. The barista then attempted to suggest other options on their menu instead of offering me a refund. I then asked for an americano with Cuban shots and he proceeded to condescendingly ask me if I knew what Cuban shots were and then tell me that they couldn’t do Cuban shots because it would damage the $25,000 espresso machine they use. I ended up with a cold press coffee that was definitely not worth $6 and the desire to never return.
