Lively and lovely coffee joint with unique drinks! I had their seasonal Sweater Weather coffee which has cream, cinnamon, and allspice with an apple slice. The barista suggested that I should dip the apple slice into the coffee, and thats what Ill suggest here as well. If you buy a bag of coffee, youll get a cup of drip coffee for free. Definitely come here!

The place gets packed pretty quickly, so it might be hard to get a table at times. They have live music on Friday nights. Absolutely great place!

Cheesecake is a valid reason to come to Dessert Oasis! I tried their Banana Nutella Cheesecake, and it was delicious! It was light in comparison to store bought ready cheesecakes. The banana was not overpowering the taste of the cheesecake; instead it complimented the Nutella top and drizzle.I also ordered it with the Honey Vanilla Latte. It was less on the sweet side from what I thought it would be (that is not a bad thing); the espresso in it is what I tasted most of. In terms of the honey vanilla flavoring, it was a good compliment to the cheesecake I ordered.

Open mic Monday was pretty great! The talent was entertaining and Jamal, the host, really made the night. The cheesecake options are yummy and the lattes are never too sweet. I always enjoy popping in here

We always love coming here, staff is amazing, desserts and drinks are outstanding. We enjoy the atmosphere and the vibe. Definitely recommend giving them a try. Chai Latte is our favorite

Horrible service! Incredibly rude! In the middle of June 2021, I visited the store for a cup of coffee to go, and they refused to serve me because I wouldn’t put a mask on, keeping in mind 90% of the people don’t wear a mask anymore and all their customers sitting there eating, talking and drinking with no mask on! They just permanently lost a good paying frequent customer. Ridiculous and rude beyond belief! Good luck to your failing business! Sidenote… I am fully vaccinated and carry the proof with me.

My husband and I just moved to the area and were in the market for a new coffee shop to call our home away from home. I’m incredibly picky with coffee, having come from Seattle with the finest coffee shops on every corner(coffee’s just a big deal there). The other coffee shop down the street was an utter let down; too commercial. I’m so glad we tried Dessert Oasis! Their honey cinnamon lates are the best, not too sweet. They also have the nicest Tiramisu cheesecake I’ve ever had, please never take that off the menu!COVID restrictions are frustrating for everyone but it’s nice to see a company actually care about the health of their staff. People lie about being vaccinated, paperwork can be faked. It’s not worth the risk. I hope to see the one hour restriction be lifted since it would be nice to relax a little longer but it’s fine the way it is right now.With a nice coffee shop only three minutes away from our home, that cheesecake won’t stand a chance.

Bustling coffeehouse during the Christmas week. Free WiFi, fair pricing, fast service, and heavy whipping cream (always important to me). Looks like live music happens here and the selection of jazz on the speakers while we visited definitely fit the upbeat vibe of the place. Good place!

First place Ive been to that has vegan options available, was very happy with that. The atmosphere is beautiful and very cozy. A great place to grab a cup of coffee with a friend or taken out your laptop and study. They have live music on most days usually later around 7:30 pm. Parking free on Sundays. Make sure to walk around the down town and check out other neat places.

Its great place in downtown Rochester, they have good coffee and the dessert here is amazing. I went Saturday evening there was live music, first guitar singer, then Jazz singer. Family friendly and date night also. Super cool people here

Been going to dessert oasis since they first started back at the cupcake station location. I’ve stopped coming here after 3 bad incidences. They have been very rude to me and my friends for multiple different reasons I do wonder if it was because we didn’t fit in and we are only teenagers. Either way, we were still quiet and we still paid just like everyone else so there has been no reason for their rudeness. Also, their coffee proportions have gotten awful. The small is literally so small that it doesn’t even fit in my cup holder properly and it was $6! I got a small mocha which typically runs about $4 for a medium. I also don’t like having to walk down the middle of place in order to buy my coffee. It always feels like I’m walking down the runway of judgement and that isn’t just how I feel all my friends and family feel the same way. Anyways, I started going to bean and leaf which is also downtown a little under a year ago. Much better prices and a way better atmosphere I go there so often I didn’t even have to tell them my order. Dessert oasis is not a monopoly there are tons of other local coffee shops that are way better if you’re coming from out of town.

Woman owner is just plain rude. Came up to us and said times up and time to go (after 40 min of being there and open tables for other individuals). I read another post and he said they do it to “limit exposure to their staff” which makes no sense. The staff aren’t even near us when we are sitting down and we see them for like a second? If I don’t get kicked out of a restaurant after 1 hour this cafe should not be kicking out people. Weird and rude.

Went in for the first time on the evening of St Patricks Day great coffee very nicely brewed and flavorful Christian was very knowledgeable and recommended his favorite coffee and it was great real nice place with tables to relax and have your coffee with Friends highly recommend checking this place out nice atmosphere and friendly employees

Ive met my boyfriend here 3 years ago and I always go on a rainy day for their mochas. I love the quiet atmosphere and the staff are always kind and have let me and my puppy stay out of the cold one snowstorm we got caught in. The designs from the foam always put a smile on my face 😊

Superb single-origin coffee brewed by the cup per a V60 pour over method. espresso drinks are made with fair trade house-roasted coffee by skilled baristas. special seasonal offerings available in addition to traditional coffee drinks. desserts and syrups are house-made, high quality, creative and delicious. staff is exceptional. space is very clean. stick around for chill vibes compliments of a great soundtrack and warm ambiance. the covered outdoor patio is not heated but comfortable and perfect for couples. you cannot go wrong with DOCR. no, laptops are not allowed after 6pm; there is live music performed most evenings by talented local artists.

I literally love this place BUT, their drink sizes are too small. I literally go other places around because of that.

Drove 30 minutes to Dessert Oasis. I wanted to drink some coffee, eat some dessert, and read the daily news on my laptop for about 30 min. Upon walking in at 8 pm, I was immediately approached by the owner and was told no laptops after 6 pm. I immediately drew the owners attention to two different tables who had laptops out and his response was they are wrapping things up. Two hours later? I use to come here 2-3 times a week. A Couple months ago, my wife and I were out to dinner with 4 different couples and I brought them all to Dessert Oasis for coffee and dessert. I have spent hundreds of dollars at this place. Unfortunately, due to this unpleasant experience, I will no longer return to Dessert Oasis. THEY DO NOT DESERVE MY BUSINESS, NOR DO THEY DESERVE MY FAMILYS BUSINESS.

This is our favorite coffeeshop. Its located on Main Street in Rochester and their coffee is amazing. We usually come here a couple weekends a month. The workers are very friendly and the coffee is very fresh. They grind the coffee beans right before they make your drink. Very nice place and atmosphere, one of the best places in downtown Rochester.

Im not a coffee aficionado by any means; all I need is something chocolatey and warm, so the dark chocolate mocha was perfect for me. Ive been a few times and never had a bad experience with staff. The atmosphere is genuinely perfect. Its cozy, I like the loud noise level (it weirdly helps me focus), and the cushioned chairs are super comfy. The reason for the one star loss is they are pretty strict about how long you can stay, which I totally understand. Youve gotta make your money and they are super busy with limited seating. I was planning to stay for 3 hours because my parking meter was that long and I had tons of work to do. I was stoked that they were open until 10pm because I get there after work around 5. But I was told, around 7, that laptops arent allowed after 6pm. (I appreciate the grace period >.

Dessert Oasis in general is a great place for coffee. However, I feel as if the downtown location has the best tasting espresso out of all of their locations. This is without a doubt the best coffee shop in the Rochester area though.

My long-time favorite!!! I always get a Kerouac (with oat milk since I cant have dairy). Never had a bad experience here, and Ive been many, many times!

Had a chai tea latte and it was delicious! Perfect cozy spot to come in from the cold and wind to have a warm up and interact with so really nice people!

Ordered a pour over Guatemalan roast. It was made very well and tasted great. The barista was very friendly and went the extra mile to bring my drink out to me even though he didn’t have to. Pour over was a little bit more expensive, but in my opinion, definitely worth the extra. Ordered it to go and he doubled my cups because it was hot.
