Simply the best experience ever in buying a vehicle. Chris Armstrong was very professional and very accommodating in finding the vehicle I was looking for. The Cross Sport R series is awesome. Fit and finish is exceptional. The vehicle is extremely quiet, and has every option conceivable. And the best part was the fact that he sales rep didn’t run back and forth to the finance manager playing games like other dealers. Simple, easy and straightforward. This is definitely not your grandmothers Volkswagen.

Bob Johnson Volkswagen which used to be dorsal seems to have some issues. I called and requested a quote on headlights for my Volkswagen twice and I have not received the call back. They may be good with service when you pull in but that would service over the phone. Very disappointing I am now taking my Volkswagen to a third-party service person to do both the oil change and the headlight replacement. Very sad

I brought my car in recently and was quoted $2000 for all brakes, all tires and wheel alignment. The car is only two years old so I brought it to a mechanic who told me theres NOTHING wrong with the car--the brakes are at their half life and the tires have about 1 year left. The noise I was hearing is from rust on the rotars. I will never bring my car here for service nor recommend this dealership, let alone buy a car from them again. Talk about taking advantage of people.

I need a seatbelt in my 2015 VW GTI. I work full-time and take care of my 8-month-old infant full-time. I wanted to avoid making multiple trips to the dealership because such trips require me to take time off of work and, because there is no mask mandate and infants cannot be masked or vaccinated, it requires me to sit outside the dealership while waiting for service. Accordingly, I called to ask that the parts be ordered. I provided the VIN and was assured that the part would be in (I even offered to pay for it ahead of time), I called later and confirmed that the part had come in. When I took my GTI in for service I waited with my infant in carrier for over an hour, in the sun, on a patio next to a dead bird. I had to change his diaper there. Finally, I was called and informed that the dealership did not actually have the part and that I would have to come back again later. I lost more than half a day of work to this chore and was given nothing in recompense and hardly even an apology.I also put a deposit on a new key from this same dealership--paying about $200--and was told that I would be called when it came in. I never received a call but eventually confirmed that a key came in. However, I have no time to go back to the dealership for either the seatbelt or the key (and I have to assume that the key will take at least two more trips). It seems Im out the $200, my lost wages, and I still need a new seatbelt and key. I would prefer to give a negative star rating, but that is not an option.Additionally, Ive now left many voicemails for various managers at Bob Johnson/Dorschel (there was some sort of merger but the signage is only half-changed) and have heard nothing back.

Absolute worse service we ever had buying a car. Our sales associate Jason George has been awful in helping us receive our car, that its taken over a week to get it. Additionally, it has been extremely difficult to get a hold of him or anyone from the dealership, especially a manager or someone who can actually help us. Will never purchase a car from this company ever again.

My service experience was terrible. I have had less than enjoyable experiences here before but continue to go back because of the convenience of the location. However I realize it’s no longer worth it.The service advisor was dismissive and could not answer my questions. He failed to tell me that the recall I came in for was not available yet until I came to pick up the car, despite our multiple interactions throughout the day. When he showed me the records there was an incorrect repair date listed for my car which he could not explain. On top of that he tried to advise me to buy overpriced breaks. This brought up a whole other issue because this shop replaced those same brakes one year and 5300 miles ago. I have gotten many second opinions since then and there’s no way brakes should only last 5300 miles, when before that they had lasted tens of thousands of miles. Giving them the benefit of the doubt that there is something else wrong with the car impacting the lifespan of those brakes, they didn’t catch this or bother to look. There was apparently a warranty on the brakes but he had to talk to the manager about it, who had to talk to VW about it and then never called me back. It’s clear to me that they don’t care about their customers they don’t have the best knowledge, they don’t have good record keeping and communication and they are more than willing to waste your time and your money.However the woman who booked my service appointment was very friendly and helpful and the only good part of this experience. I would actively not recommend Dorschel for any reason.

I recently purchased a Jetta from Dorschel Vw. Due to covid I made an appt. I was instantly greeted when my BF and I walked in. We spoke to the salesman Kevin for a few mins. It was freezing out and horrible weather. He had the car ready and cleaned off, heat blasting for me to test drive it. He made us feel very comfortable with the car buying process. No hesitation with him answering our questions. We went home and a couple days later went in to complete the paperwork. We are very happy with Dorschel.

The warranty is great and I love that they take care of the next 3 tire rotations, oil changes and the next 2 state inspections. My sales person Shane was excellent and professional. When buying used in the past, in other places, I typically found that there was up to $500, sometimes more, wiggle room in the listed price. This time, at this dealership, I was told that list price on the used, 2 year old car that I was interested in was not negotiable. I did receive more than expected for my trade, which partially made up for this no negotiate mentality, but likely would not have purchased a vehicle from this dealership if I had no car to trade in. Everything else in the transaction was smooth, no issues.

Took my 2014 VW Jetta to Dorschel VW for an inspection, They stated that I had two broken rear springs which needed to be replaced for $441.00. I refuted the fact. The service department did not take the time to show were the springs were broken and/or compare them to new ones. They just gave me my keys back. I take 3 VWs to them for service I guess I expected a little bit more.

Try their express oil change service. These guys will give you an oil change, vacuum your car and wash it for a low price. Friendly staff and helpful service. You can wait for your car about 45 minutes. They work with quality and quickness. I love their service.

Was told a 2010 vw routon needed new brakes and was told they looked original was quoted over 700 to replace all pads and rotors. I thought this was strange because last June the rears were done by my local shop and 2 years ago the fronts were done. I took it back to my local shop to get them replaced under warranty and they showed me that the pads had more then half the life left in the front and over 80% in the rear. I took pictures to prove dorschel is ripping people off. There is no excuse for this what so ever.

Today I brought my car to Dorschel Volkswagen to get a flat tire repaired. I dropped my car off at 7:15 am, spoke with the service department about how I needed the flat tire replaced. I was dropped off at my work by their friendly shuttle driver. At noon, I received a text from Dorschel that included a hyperlink which brought me to a list of additional recommended services that totaled approximately $ 1500-2000 dollars. It stated that I could refuse the additional services and that they would still complete the original service as discussed. I called to confirm that my car was ready at the end of the day. They said that it was and then forwarded my call to the technician who worked on my car and the call went straight to voicemail. I had to get a ride from work back to Dorschel (their shuttle keeps weird hours, stops at 4pm). When I arrived, I saw my car parked out front with the donut still on the car. It was a little after 6pm so no one from service was still there. The woman who was working the cashier’s desk was very busy fielding complaints from multiple customers. When it was my turn, she got me an invoice that said that I “refused all services” and my keys. She was kind and was trying her best to be helpful but she is not a service technician and no one left any message with her as to why they decided to not fix my tire as agreed upon. Dorschel Volkswagen wasted an entire day with my car for nothing and now I have to put a number of extra miles driving around on a donut, in search of competent professionals who are capable of fixing a flat tire.Edit:1. At no point did I refuse the agreed upon service. I only refused additional, unnecessary services.2. I received two emails from the service manager. He did not offer to help clear up any confusion or any other type of help.3. If you are going to use an online system for customers to determine how much additional services they want or dont want, it is imperative that your techs and service managers have the requisite reading comprehension to use the system properly.4. The repair or replacement of a flat tire is a common repair that is almost always less expensive than $1500. I will take my business elsewhere.

Its a wonder I didnt drive my sales person crazy, but he still takes my phone calls. I visited the dealership 4 different times--taking a test drive on the first three of those visits. Buying a vehicle can be extremely annoying and daunting but Mark made everything go super smooth and very painless. Gave me a faulty catalytic converter. Told me the warranty was good for a year, but they gave me a lemon and when it broke after 14 months they refused to cover it. Instead charging me first for a $350 oil change and replaced dipstick (no work seemed to actually have been done to the car at all) and then telling me sorry... Not their problem. This is NOT the first time Ive had issues with Dorschel, but it is definitely the last time I go near their store.

I dont think you can have a better experience buying a car than at Dorschel. Andreas Meyer is super knowledgeable and pressure free. I told him what I was looking for and he was able to find me several options without a problem. He followed up after the sale to see how everything was going with the new car. It was a refreshing experience, as he had lined up a number of cars for me to test drive with all of the options that I was looking for. He was very personable, and quick to answer my questions; yet honest, if he was uncertain of a particular answer, he inquired to get one. Had my key fob/ignition switch replaced under a recall and the place is really nice but they wanted to charge me for an hour (or maybe even 1-1/2, I cant remember) to swap out a door switch which literally take 15 minutes including mode the vehicle in and out of the garage. Also, no return on the part if I bought it and did it myself.

Collin helped us buy our new 2015 Sportwagen. He took the time to ensure that it was the right vehicle for us by asking us lots of questions before we even looked at a vehicle. We only had to deal with one person through the whole transaction. It was a great experience, and the car is great too.

Our GTI had engine problems on our family trip to Boston. The service department booked us in right away and had us diagnosed and in a rental vehicle within hours so we could resume our trip while they fixed our car. The experience of having a break down on another country wasn’t enjoyable but the service we received from this dealership has been exceptional so far.

Buying the car was a good experience, but do not go here if you are looking to trade in a car. The numbers that are given on the Dorschel website have nothing to do with what they will actually offer you for your trade-in. Take the number on the website and reduce it by about 2/3 or 3/4. I bought two cars at Dorschel and both times they screwed me over pretty good on the trade-in. I wanted the new car, and I was under pressure to get a new car from my wife, etc.... so I just bit the bullet and did the deal. But it left a bad taste in my mouth and its unlikely I would go back to Dorschel in the future.

By far the WORST experience I’ve ever had at a car dealership. I took my car to get a spare tire changed, my tires aligned and a general inspection. They quoted me around $230. Once the car was finished I went to sign for the work they had done and get my keys back, not knowing they had added a bunch of extra charges to my bill. When I went over to the lobby to pay, they informed me my bill was around $680. I argued, but they told me they could only bring it down to $500 “since I had already signed.” I feel extremely taken advantage of, as they exceeded their estimate by over twice the amount. Save your time and money and go anywhere else.

Very good service and a friendly personnel. They have a waiting room for you while they work on your vehicle. If it takes them more than a day to fix your car, they give you another car to drive during that period for absolutely no charge.

People are really nice, but not much reason to make an appointment. This is the second time this month where I spent 2 hours at the sealer for something that should be done in less than 1. Told up front both times it was only going to take 40 minutes.
