A nice place to buy RIT merchandise. The good are pretty expensive in my opinion but they are quite good. You find a lot of options from kids to alumni. I guess it’s worth visiting and checking out once to see if you might find something you like. But definitely pricey compared to other places.It also has a nice place to sit and read books of our choice. Has a star bucks inside of it. So, probably a nice place to grab some coffee and read a book!

My daughter attends school here, so the family needed to buy spirit wear. The clothing was all of high quality, but of course it was expensive. I bought a vest for my office since it gets cold, but it was $80. I’m ex-army and I showed my veterans I’d card and they gave me 10% off which I appreciated. This was our 2nd time here and both times were positive

Great campus store for all of you RIT gear and carries a good selection of stationary products. Note the Starbucks cafe is not open.

It is a book store for RIT. Not a normal Barnes and Noble. Had to go to a different location to find what I w a s looking for.

Honestly pretty mediocre. For a school book store theres a noticable lack of unique school pride merch from what Ive seen at other stores. The stationery supplies section is underwhelming and overpriced. Overall the store is kept very clean though!

This store is not open Saturday,Sunday or Monday. Families usually visit on a long weekend. I don’t understand being closed on the weekend.

Selection is a bit small for books. Some floor space dedicated to selling other retail products like clothing and makeup. Second floor selection primarily for RIT students. Lots of seating on second floor and plenty of seating in cafe. Cafe selection is broad. Clean and welcoming staff.

I cant get enough of any Barnes and Noble. But definitely, the cleanest by far! Although, it doesnt have another level of selections is okay because the stuff they have is enough to satisfy any book enthusiast!

Has a great selection of RIT products. I love Barnes & Noble, but the cashiers are super slow on this day. 2 cashiers working, long line, not calling for additional assistance. ☹️

Very limited inventory for my needs. Will not return but do the larger better prepared for all shopping publics needs safe then some!

This is my favourite place to chill at. I just go to B&N and check out the same old books and games, not sure why but it makes me feel great! Just love the vibe!

This book store has everything you need as a student or (in my case) parent. Really nice clothing and gift selection and plenty of additional school supplies.

Great selection for a visitor.

Called about being charged $155 and only getting $140 back when I was told I would get a full refund. I ended up being put on hold numerous times until I got to the store manager which went to voicemail. Eventually he called me back but was very rude and called me a liar. Worst customer service ever!

The staff is super helpful and nice. They have a good book selection and the textbooks are reasonably priced if you do not want to wait for amazon. The store itself is very nice, with a nice cafe on the side. They also have an awesome board games section.

This may look like your typical 2 story Barnes and Noble, but you would be incorrect. In truth, this store equally functions as a regular store as well as a school supply and merchandise store for RIT. The second floor has additional supplies as well as textbooks. The only downside to this store is that it does not come up on the B&N website. This means you cannot see if a product is in stock online. They do have a Starbucks in the corner of the first floor.

The atmosphere was very comfortable as I perused the books, largely due to the salesmans willingness to help me. I will definitely go back there when Im in Rochester. Thanks for the nice experience.

Decent selection of everything you would expect at a non college B&N. Staff was friendly, and was able to explain that they could not scan the B&N card with the registers they had, but that the discount was applied. This location is a bit odd that you have to drive down a bit tob access it as the entrance is not right by the building.

The manager, Peter, very helpful in resolving an issue with a coupon. I was very satisfied.

I have worked at this place for on campus job. The store will be going through renocvation this summer and hope it will serve customers even better. Moreover, the entire staff is really friendly if you work there. They have been carrying some good accessories recently with reasonable price as well (Although Amazon will always beat everyone with pricing!).

You can get all kinds of books here. Books you want, books you need & books you just wanna check out. There are comfy seats to check out the books & magazines you just want to read.The staff is quite friendly & knowledgeable if you cant find what you want. The prices are ok, i guess. Then again, look at what you want, have Amazon get you a price you can afford.

I always find things I love here. As well as finding great gifts. The store has a very open atmosphere and the people who work there are very friendly.

Besides functioning as a standard Barnes & Noble, this location is also services the nearby Rochester Institute of Technology campus. Students can buy books, supplies and lab items that have been coordinated with the universitys curriculum. Theres also a shuttle bus to/from campus. Very convenient.Prices are about what youd expect, but some are ridiculously low. I was especially surprised by how competitive their computer and tablet prices were. The Dell items also had additional discounts especially for students.

Great store with plenty of RIT class books and materials. Currently the upstairs art half is under construction and clearance. There is also a Starbucks & bathroom in the south west portion. Wheelchair accessible.

Has a large compliment of books, games, and collectibles. A little small for a B&N, but it has a lot.

Pretty good experience. They had everything I needed. Had to pick up a something for class and got what I needed. However, used/rental textbooks are WAY overpriced.

Not the ambience of a great bookstore. No music, empty shelves on corner departments. Very limited variety to kids books. Thought very helpful young seller who tried her best to propose kids books for ESL students and flashcards and other supporting material. She saved the day! Will try next time the store in Pittsford Plaza or downtown Rochester.

Stock is shrinking, but combination with university book store is nice. Unique stationary and at supplies. Cafe is small but good service.

Huge store filled with generic, ridiculously overpriced merchandise. Its the standard B&N gouging of students. Easy to see why the chain is near bankruptcy. Good riddance. 2 stars for pleasant employees.

The RIT Barnes & Noble is nice. It does not offer the selection as other stores; I assume this is because of an University affiliation. The staff are nice and helpful, and parking is typically easy to find a spot to park.

Went to NTID for a math competition and took group to bookstore enjoyed the large collection of books.

Love to visit the store when we visit our son at RIT, the staff is very knowledgeable and fun, the school spirit selection is phenomenal and they have lots of wonderful sales on their website when we can not make it locally...

Very nice inside. Plenty of great books. Just dont expect to be able to find everything you need, especially for a research project. The store is also highly centered around RIT and providing RIT students with textbooks, so its not as glorious for outsiders as other Barnes and Noble stores out there.

Its fine for buying RIT merch but definitely get your textbooks elsewhere if possible. The prices are always way higher at the bookstore.

Because this is also RITs bookstore, the selection of books you might expect upon pulling up to the massive building is a bit underwhelming. However, the atmosphere is calm and just like you might hope for a bookstore to be. Music choices were top notch; had to Shazam a few of them! 10/10 would recommend 👌🔥

I shop here frequently. I can usually either find the book Im looking for or get it ordered, but on those few occasions when I need to ask an employee on the floor or at the help desk for assistance, I am almost always put off by their brusque responses and bordering-on-rude (if not outright so) mannerisms. God forbid you need help in the YA section, where the employee most frequently present is both condescending and snide, like a male version of Delores Umbridge. The love of books keeps me returning, but I must muster the force and take my own sunshine in when shopping here, else I leave feeling like Ive just had tea with a Dementor.

The store is huge, the upper floor is dedicated to student textbooks and RIT merchandise while the lower floor is a typical Barnes & Noble including boardgames, playing cards and notepads as well as books.

Half this store is textbooks and RIT gear, so dont expect the full selection of books that a 2 story B&N would normally have. That said, they do have a decent Starbucks, small game, children, and fiction sections along with a lot of reading space.

Good prices and the staff is helpful. They can order any book that is needed, as well as the e- reader copy.

Insanely expensive but its on a college campus so what do you expect? Discount if there for open house at RIT.

Can be overpriced when it comes to art supplies. Shuttles only came once an hour so left our friend there. He isnt our friend anymore. 10/10 would abandon a friend again
