As a new car buyer the process went very smooth... I had researched what i wanted before i had arrived and laid out what I desired financial and they were able to help me out and get me a payment within my desired range. The staff was very friendly and open. There was only a little concerns that i had, one being the what paperwork (mail with address on it)should be brought in to get a loan. Overall good experience, have not been for maintenance yet, but will be in the future.

I just purchased my first brand new vehicle ever (2020 Ford Expedition) and cannot express how great this buying experience was. My Sales Consultant David V. was such a pleasure to work with and made sure the whole process went seamless from start to finish. It is not everyday that you work with a team that is so friendly and on point across the board, which makes the entire process that more efficient and enjoyable.
I usually don’t like to complain, but I do feel the need to share my experience. On Thursday the 18th I had gone in to this location to try and participate in the upgrade event. Now I know that, that’s mostly a way to get more people in and for them to get a little more business. That’s fine. My issue was, that I had gone in with very much full intentions in getting a Jeep Wrangler and the person that helped me out didn’t even give me a chance. He told me that it’s not possible to get what I wanted. That it’ll be too much in my monthly payment and to just stay with the car I had. I had a 2020 Jeep Compass at 6,000 miles. It was a lease and though I enjoyed it, it just wasn’t the car I wanted. Now I don’t remember his name, but the way that he talked to me and told me straight out that I don’t have a chance made me feel incredibly uncomfortable. I felt judge and honestly disrespected based on my appearance and my experience there was not enjoyable at all. At one point he said “it’s too much, and with you not putting a deposit down it’ll be way over $800 a month” he just assumed that I had nothing to put down. So I decided to call around. Turns out that he just didn’t want to put in the work.I went to Vision Chrysler Dodge in Penfield later that day, and by 7pm that night I had gone into a 72 month finance on a Jeep Wrangler 2021 Sport S. I put down a $5000 deposit and I am paying just a little more a month than I had been wanting originally but I got the car of my dreams. The people at Cortese didn’t even show me cars, or gave me options. I was never asked if I would want to test drive it or how high I was willing to go. He just flat out denied me. While at Vision Dodge my guy gave me the keys and told me to go off on my own and take all the time I needed/wanted. When I came back, you best bet I was ready to go higher than originally planned.Maybe Cortese needs to train their people to give everyone that walks in a chance and to not judge people based on appearances. Because maybe then they would have made that sale. I don’t plan on going there ever again. And that’s okay. I just wanted to share with you my experience and what other might be experiencing at this location.
DO NOT GO HERE FOR SERVICE! After having to take my car back a second time to fix the same warranty repair they didnt get right the first time, I noticed my glove box and center console had obviously been rummaged through. They were fixing a door seal and had no reason to be in either. Multiple small items were stolen (utility knife/seatbelt cutter, seat-crack flashlight, multitool, and a couple other misc. things). After I brought this to their attention, and hounded them for a call back, I called and reached the assistant manager 2 weeks later. I got the our policy says we are not responsible shpeel. They dont give two s**ts about their customers.
Horrible customer service and sales manager, he waists people’s time and very mean on the phone. Just your typical car salesman that doesn’t appreciate peoples precious time. If I were John Cortese I would reevaluate and make the process a better experience. The sales manager should have done more research and looked at all options before even going to the store. (like I said before even going to him) My wife wasted 2 hours and my time on the phone. Process is broken and sleazy
I had been to two other dealership prior to visiting Cortese. Lou was the dealer I dealt with. From start to finish, he and the financing guy (Darren) were phenomenal in making my new 18 Ford Escape a reality. Lou was attentive, and knowledgeable in crafting the perfect vehicle, putting together amenities desired and amenities needed while staying within the price range allowed in my budget. I highly recommend Cortese and Lou!
Unsatisfactory and disappointing. I exchanged texts with Danielle and scheduled for a test drive, but when I came in, the salesperson overseeing my visit (not Danielle) refused to let me test drive the car because I was a few months away from buying and said that I wasnt willing to commit now.How can I commit to a car before I test drive it, when Im considering a few different options? This is more true for the high performance cars Im looking at, which arent just to get me from A to B, but which are meant to be thrilling to drive.I feel like the salesperson wasnt even trying to sell me a car. Also, a little disrespectful of him to assume I may just be looking for a joyride when the truth is Ive been researching these cars for months and am ready to test drive some of them before I pick one model. But to be fair, he did a good job of answering my questions about the car buying process.

So, I am making this review about 6 months past my date of purchase to give a good idea of the vehicle I had gotten from this Cortese.I do want to start by saying that I do enjoy my vehicle, but the entire process of getting it and how we were treated was less than satisfactory. I bought a used 2011 Tahoe, I want to make the most honest review I can.I had gone in alone the first time to take a look, I did plan to buy but requested I came back a couple days later to allow my boyfriend to take a look at it before I signed any official papers. We had gone back and forth and I was still hesitant so we agreed for me to put down a deposit to hold the vehicle till I come back a couple days later. I was assured up and down that if I did not want the vehicle that I would get my full deposit back and the plates I had left from my old vehicle, also that they would not be inspecting or doing anything to it before I agreed to the purchase. Fast forward a day or so, the manager called and asked me to come in that day to sign papers (I already had made an appointment to come in the next day and he wasnt happy to hear that cause he was not going to be in that day.) We talked about financing over the phone again and I said I still wanted to get payments down and a warranty.We came the next day, The Tahoe was pulled up BUT this time registered and insured with my old plates on it. I did not sign an agreement to buy this yet, so I was confused and as stated before they said none of this would be done till I agree to buy and sign papers.My boyfriend said it needed brakes and tires, We were promptly told he was wrong and there was no reason to do them any sooner than needed cause of the environment so it would be a waste. They were cracking, the tread was ok but they needed to be changed soon due to the condition of the overall tire. Also the brakes were from it sitting too long. (Which, sure is possible but this wasnt that.)They did agree to do 4 tires but we were to do the brakes ourselves. I felt this was fair at the time. All while this was happening they were dodging the question of getting a warranty. I fully understand it is a older vehicle and it would be tricky to find one but they told me numerous times I wouldnt be driving away with one, they didnt have one, and to call my insurance company to get one. They did find a good warranty company thankfully.Signed paperwork(other manager), made a appointment for 2 weeks later to get tires put on and I was on my way.Before the appointment even happened my ABS, Traction control, and Stabilititrack lights kept going on and off, as well as a grinding sound from the wheel. I took a photo and sent it to my sales woman for my appointment coming up.Also, I was contacted by my sales woman asking if I did the brakes yet, which I had not. She then told me the Tahoe DID indeed need 2 tires and it was recommended the brakes all around to be replaced. Also there was a power steering line they didnt tell me about that needed to be replaced. All after I bought this.Took the SUV in, they did all the work listed above and fixed my 3rd row seat and rear defroster. They couldnt find the reason for the lights coming on so they didnt do anything for that (The wheel bearing has a ABS sensor on it. So...)2 weeks after I got it back, the front drivers side wheel bearing let go and was being held on by brake pads as I was driving home(Had to pull over and get towed). I called about week before this to ask if the wheel bearing needed to be fixed because when we checked it, it was loose. They said no, so I called my warranty company. Cortese never sent the paperwork over even tho I asked for it to be expedited, so the warranty company didnt even know who I was so I couldnt get this fixed. By the time the company got the paperwork it was the same say the wheel bearing came off.I am giving them 2 stars because they did redeem themselves a star by calling and finally telling me what needed to be done on the SUV. I would not recommend them and I am out of characters to keep going.

The dealer that sold me my car was amazing, I highly recommended Anna Moretti. Everyone else there was a nightmare. The workers are walking around without masks during a pandemic, they TEXT me when they need information from me and ask for reviews etc, and they messed up several of the documents needed for the sale of my car. Now it’s over a month since I got my car and I still have yet to receive my registration. Very disappointed.

If you are reading this... Please do yourself a favor and do not make a purchase with Cortese auto. I am still so upset with the way my family and I were treated and taken advantage of at the Henrietta location this evening. So I was driving along and all of a sudden my rearview mirror falls right off of the windshield glue and all. Now we had just purchased this brand new 2018 a few months back so there is no reason why the mirror should be coming off at all. After this we emailed the salesman that sold us the car. He told us that we could easily fix it ourselves. So we tried to without any luck and then contacted the dealership to set up an appointment. After explaining to the front desk what the whole situation was we were told it should only be about an hour and we could pick it up. We get a call from someone at Cortese who tells us we can pick up the car but its not fixed yet bc they have to send pics to ford. I said okay well I will come pick it up and when I got there to pick it up I found that not only is my mirror completely off and sitting in my passenger seat but there is a WHOLE CHUNK OF MY WINDSHIELD MISSING from where they had tried to pry the metal piece that holds the mirror off of the windshield. Now first of all when I brought the car to them my mirror was still up due to my attempt to fix it I had gotten the metal piece to stick on the windshield BUT... It was still LOSE AND SHAKING when I attached the mirror. so it needed to be fixed. They then tried to tell us that it was just like that when we brought it! Like are you seriously running a business this way ? This is not costumer service and that fact that I was called names by one of Corteses employees is just crazy. How is this tolerated?

My husband and I came in to upgrade a car, as my 2007 mustang had a good run. I was very pleased to deal with Anna—she was very kind, funny, very knowledgeable, and patient! Overall, this is the best car dealership I have been to. They will do what they can for their customers. Over the past few years, I have had some ups and downs with Cortese. With that said, since Jordan in service has been handling our account, I have had nothing but excellent service and a great experience. Jordan is pro-active, very honest and extremely responsive. Car issues suck, but I can honestly say Jordan has changed my perception of Cortese. Good job Jordan.
Went there with my wife twice. The first time we went to buy a Maserati and we were not treated as cordially as we as consumers deserve to be treated. We were patronized to the point that we ended up leaving. The second time we went to buy an MKZ thinking that it could just be that particular salesman. To our surprise this salesman was just as demeaning. It seems as though this is a widespread culture of total disregard for the people who spend their hard earned money at Cortese. As if that’s not enough, we made an appointment to buy the car and they sold the car 2 hrs. Before we got there. We traveled an hour and a half for nothin. We would never recommend this to anyone. Not even the drug pushers in the corner!!!! this place sux a big one!!

Victor Bay is by far the most efficient, kind, and talented sales person I have ever done with business with. His knowledge of the Ford Explorer was extremely advanced and made me feel more than comfortable leasing my new Ford Explorer. This Ford Explorer by far exceeds my previous vehicle, which was a BMW X5 that had more issues and repairs than I could count. I will forever buy or lease my vehicles only from Victor Bay and the Cortese team.
At every step of the way regarding this service visit, Cortese was pleasantly accommodating to my requests. First, I was leaving for the weekend prior to a Monday appointment at the dealership. As I would not be needing my vehicle during this trip, I asked if I could leave my vehicle over the weekend and Monday, and they accommodated me. When I returned from my trip, they gave me a loaner vehicle to use. Progress on the service and availability of the vehicle was relayed to me by text messages from service advisor Patrick Zimmerman. When I arrived to pick up my vehicle, I found the service was covered by warranty with no hassle. All things considered, a pleasant experience.

I needed to get my cars in for an inspection and routine service. I spoke with Darren and he set it up for first thing in the morning on two consecutive days. I took the cars in and they were done within an hour and I was on my way both days. I appreciate the efficiency and will tell my friends.
From the moment you walk in and see your name on the board, you feel welcome and important. Youll be greeted and deal with the same person throughout the process. The vehicle was priced very well, and the entire process went off without a hitch.
Took my car in for a routine NYS inspection and received honest feedback on it.It passed inspection without any additional repairs but I was informed that my brakes will need replacement sometime during the next year. No pressure to replace them now was given. In fact they told me there was no urgent need to do so but to simply be aware of what to look for when the time does come. I have run across so many other repair shops that are looking for the quick buck during these required inspections that it was refreshing to hear an honest appraisal of the situation.The entire service staff was pleasant to deal with and the car was ready at the time promised to me.I wont go any other place in the future for any repair needs.
I chatted online to make sure a promotional offer applied to a vehicle I was looking at. I was assured that it did, twice. I even called to verify. Of course when I went in they said it didnt apply to that model (which I had specifically asked about).I didnt have an hour to waste driving there and going in.This happened for one of two reasons:1. Untrained staff that didnt know how their own promotions worked2. Unethical staff which wants to get foot traffic at any cost.I will be strongly recommending people avoid Cortese Mitsubishi.Update: there manager that emails you after you go there asking for feedback... doesnt even respond to feedback emails.

Called for service on my car on 6/29/18 & spoke to Jacob took all my information and said would have a service person call me back to schedule a service time. I found that odd because typically they do it while you are on the phone. I never got a call back. Called back and the same person said they didnt have me in their system. I asked to speak to a manager and Gary gets on the phone and said the owner uses an outside call center and that I needed to speak to Lisa. Spoke to Lisa and they are booked out anyway ! Dont deal with this dealership they are awful

This was our first experience with the Cortese Auto Group but surely wont be our last. We worked with Anna Moretti and have nothing but great things to say about her and everyone else we met at the dealership. She made the buying process as easy as it possibly could be. In the end we received a good price on the new vehicle we purchased and a fair price on our trade in. I would definitely recommend giving them a shot at your business and Ill be recommending them and especially Anna to anyone I know looking for a new car or truck.
We purchased our 6th vehicle from Cortese Auto. We purchase about a vehicle-a-year for the 6 drivers we have in our family. We have always been treated fairly by our salesperson Burt Lyon and the rest of the Cortese staff. Burt now has a close relationship with me and my 3 college-age boys. He not only looks out for them as far as their vehicles are concerned, but also their studies and life. I have been happy dealing with Burt and the rest of the staff. I must say I have dealt with many car salesman and dealers over the last 25 plus years. This was the most pleasant and easy car buying experience Ive ever had. We never had to wait longer than 2 minutes for him to do his thing. (Whatever it is that car salesman do when they go talk with the manager). They actually let the car sell itself, no BS stuff, no back and forth offers, they explained the price and why, (came down in price a little) and that was it. Thank you Dylan Scorsone and Dave the finance manager you were both great to work with. I would not hesitate to recommend Cortese to anyone I know.

I do this simply because of the customer service program, Its Great. The team of Dan and Dan did everything possible to make this a positive experience for my wife and I. We drove one and half hours to work with them because of their honest way of dealing with us. My wife is a Librarian and research is kind of her thing, so it was a pleasant surprise when Dan and Dan were upfront and honest about a reasonable price for the vehicle and all possible rebates without haggling. I am a long term customer of the Cortese Lincoln, Ford and Jeep Dealerships. In addition i have referred many friends to the Cortese Auto Collection with happy results. If you cant find a vehicle you like, you simply arent test driving enough of them.
I went into Cortese to buy a new truck. I knew what I wanted when I walked in the door. I told them exactly what I wanted. I made it very clear and I reiterated myself many times throughout the transaction.I didnt learn until the day I went to pick up the truck that it had a different engine than the one I asked for. I was also lied to about the tow rating and the extended warranty. I tried to back out of the deal three times. The first two times, the salesman told me that it was too late. I had already paid for the truck and signed for the truck. The third time, I took it to the finance manager.The finance manager told me the same thing. The deal was done and their hands were tied. He told me that it was my fault and that I should have been better educated on the truck. I explained that I was very clear about what I wanted and that needing a V8 was number two on my list. I explained that I had bought the truck for work and that I had specific towing needs that this truck does not meet. He told me that since I added a tow hitch receive, the rating went up 1,600lbs. He refused to give me this in writing. He insulted me and interrupted me repeatedly before I finally had to stand up and walk away.Before I left the parking lot, I called in and asked to be put into contact with the owner. I was given an e-mail address. I sent him an email that afternoon and gave him a quick rundown of what I was dealing with. The following after I received a phone call from the regional manager on behalf of the owner. I told him I wanted to meet the owner face to face to express my concerns and find out if his staff was telling me the truth. I made an appointment to meet the owner, along with the regional manager for the following Friday.Friday came in and I went into Cortese to meet with them. The owner sat me down and asked me what the problem was. I explained the entire story, including all the times I had verified all of the equipment on the truck and the warranty. I showed him all the notes I had taken in my phone, since they wouldnt give me any of this in writing. Looking back, that should have been the first red flag. I showed him text message from the salesman and several examples of him blatantly lying to me. The owner admitted to me that the first two time I tried to back out of the deal, that was 100% within my rights and that it was not too late. Unfortunately, by the time we had this meeting, he said it WAS too late. He told me the best thing he could do for me would be to install some aftermarket equipment that would boost the tow rating up to what I needed. He said he would call me the following day after he speak to his service department.The next day, I get a call from the owner. He tells me that he was mistaken and that there was nothing he could do to improve the tow capacity. He said that he had no other options and the best thing he could do for me is offer my next vehicle at his cost.I didnt trust it, so I decided to call his bluff. I wasnt going to need a new vehicle anytime soon and even if I did, I wouldnt want to bring them the business. So I decided I would take advantage of the offer and replace my winter car. I went on their website and looked at a few used vehicles. I called him up and told him which ones I was interested in and he tried to sell me on the cheapest one. It was almost $10k and he offered me $600 off. I wanted to puke. Nothing but a bunch of con artists who completely screwed me out of $50k and then have the audacity to offer me $600 off of a used vehicle to make up for it.

He didnt pressure me and worked with me diligently over the course of several days to get to a price I was comfortable with. I appreciated the fact that he let me go home over the weekend, think about all my options, and let me come to some decisions without pressure or the usual car salesman pitch. Having had a great experience with Cortese two years ago when I leased my vehicle, it was an easy decision to go back now that my husband and I were ready to buy. For two straight days we worked with Joe Gatas and bothered him with every question under the sun. He was so incredibly helpful and understanding! Buying a brand new vehicle is such an investment and he was reassuring and caring throughout the entire process. For almost every question we had for Joe, we also had one for our finance manager, Chris who just as easily answered them and made himself available. Of course, we chose to buy over the Labor Day weekend when insurance companies and banks had limited hours and Joe and Chris worked tirelessly to help us get all of the information we needed despite this challenge. I can easily say that we will return to Cortese for every question/repair/purchase in the future and recommend that everyone else does the same! Just ask for Joe - he is great!
Test drove a used truck, was not advertised correctly, described as having a lcd screen radio only had a standard radio. Other options listed but never was shown and I didnt notice the switch for the adjustable pedals, had a truck with adjustable pedals so I gave a quick glance for the switch. Financing the truck was kind of sketchy was told my monthly payments would be so much with out even telling me what interest rate I would have. Worked for Pat Cortese awhile back, ford certified technician, was never treated like that when I bought the truck with adjustable pedals.

I have bought three cars from cortese ford and I will never go anywhere else after the amazing experience that I have had at this dealership. From start to finish you are taken care of and it really is a no pressure environment. The service department is top notch and gives you a no hassle assement I have never been pressured into fixing something they just tell me what they found and let me make an informed decision. The GM Ron will accommodate any reasonable request.
I had an oil change, tire rotation, NYS inspection, and recall all to be handled. They were able to do it all in a little over 40 minutes. I am really impressed and so very happy. I expected to be there for a while, and I really wasn’t. I had enough time to get breakfast at a nearby diner and that was it!
