I was able to get my car in, service completed, and at a very reasonable price. The service representative and the mechanics were professional and knowledgeable of what was needed for my vehicle. They included checks that many places not have done orWould have changed extra for.As an added bonus, i was able to shop in the grocery dept. while i was waiting. This saved me time and money.Thank you Walmart in Gates New York...

The lady that answered the call was helpful at the desk she helped me find where on the car it shows the recommended size of the tires needed for my car. Gave me a time frame of 2 hrs, since there was a line in front of me. My car was done in 1.5 hrs instead. Will come back for tire services for sure.

Location Chili storeBrought my car in for a simple tire patch (under warranty) and tire rotation. Waited a reasonable amount of time for it to get done. Got in my car,started it up and noticed it was loud. I immediately shut it off and turned my phones video recording on. went back in and told the mechanic about it. He came right out and listened to it and agreed it was loud and could have been their fault. Im still recording the entire time. The girl behind the counter noticed I was recording and stated it was against Walmart policy to record,I explained I wanted to make sure I had proof this was walmarts fault and I would like to have my car fixed. She then tells the manager,he said to stop recording or they would not continue to look at the car so I explained I would stand outside and record. Again telling him Im just covering myself. He then instructed the mechanic to pull out my car and he was done. I called the police for a report and the officer went in to talk to the manager when she came back she said they would look at the car if I deleted the video. I refused to delete them opting to call corporate instead. End result was they pulled my car over the plates and scraped the bottom resulting in tearing the flex pipe.cost of repair was $491.00. Walmart took responsibility for the mistake and made it right. Shout out to Michael the mechanic for being so awesome.

Pretty poor service with poor attitudes to boot. Went in to purchase 2 tires, caught a flat about an hour earlier, and I am told if Ill have to take them with me. I then asked if I could have someone in the shop put them on for me, as to avoid any mishaps doing it myself. The associate then said that it would be about a 4 hour wait. I said that was OK and if I could make an appointment. He then just stares at me, giving me a look like Im bothering him. I should add, the whole time this exchange is happening, hes on his phone texting or doing whatever it was he was doing. So I again ask, if I could make an appointment and he tells me that they are booked for the day.As someone who spent years in management, managing teams and training new individuals, I would have never hired someone like this to work for me. Dont know if he was just having a bad day, not happy with his pay, whatever the case, that was no way to treat a customer who was trying to give the company he worked for, business, and the company ends up losing business because their employees poor attitude.

They didnt balance tires once they installed them They also lost one of my Volvo wheel caps It cost me 20$ to replace it. Now i need to make another appointmemt somewhere else to get the wheels balanced. Never again!! Every time i give Walmart a chance they just Suck.

I had to take my car back after they replaced a leaky TPMS sensor because the tire started leaking even worse than before they fixed it. The woman who did my intake had the audacity to question whether my warrantee from Sams was valid, even though they accepted it without question two weeks earlier. Then she told me that they dont warrantee TPMS sensors, so for them to even look at it theyd have to charge me $15 and, if it turned out to be their fault wed work someting out.The issue ended up being a leak from the rim because they didnt mount the tire correctly when they replaced the sensor, but since the associate who checked me out was not part of the original conversation, I had to argue with her to get the charge waived.I had to provide the new TPMS sensor because they didnt stock one that was compatible with my vehicle, so I dont expect them to stand behind the part and Id have no problem paying a diagnostic fee if they determined that the new part was a lemon. But basic customer service says that when the customer comes back a short time after getting a repair, complaining that the problem you tried to fix has gotten worse, that you at least look at it to be sure you didnt screw it up.Our other vehicle is going to be due for new tires before too long. I know where I wont be getting them.

I know there are some rough reviews but, I can tell you that my experience was great. Michael, the auto service manager took the time to listen to my questions/needs and Im super happy. Yes, it did take over an hour to get my tires put on (ordered online) but, I didnt expect it to take 15 mins! I would definitely recommend this location and will definitely be going back. And yes, I would call ahead of time - dont just show up, expecting to get in.

I called before I ordered my tires online to find out how much it would be to have the tires put on my car and the man that answered the phone told me it would be $4 per tire. When my tires came in it was actually $12 per tire, but as I had already ordered them I went ahead with the install. Over 2 hours later the tires were on, but not correctly. The balance was clearly off. I took the car back there again and they supposedly corrected the problem. Wrong. They were still off. I took the car to the Hudson Ave Walmart and they told me that one of the tires was completely out of balance and that they had left the old weights on 2 of them. I will never go there again. After over 4 hours wasted on them trying to fix a problem it was not worth the discount on the tires.

Went for an oil change and they refused to use oil type whats on the engine 0-20 They wanted to use 5-30 because it was what their book says. They were also very rude including manager.

My daughter went there for an oil change and the person working the desk was extremely rude to her. I tried to call to inquire regarding if an appointment was needed or if we could just walk in, after 10 minutes of being put on hold and the phone just ringing, I finally hung up! Never would I go there!!

I went to this location instead of the location closest to my home thinking I would have a better experience. I arrived around 1:15 pm to purchase tires and have them installed. When I arrived, there were at least 4 cars in the bay. I asked how long the tire installation would take and the clerk informed me the process would take 3 hours. Although I was not happy with that response I chose to wait as I needed the tires. The clerk then asked if I had wheel locks and where was the key located. I informed the clerk where my wheel lock key was located After giving my contact information (I have an out of town cell phone number), I shopped in the store to kill time. At the 1 hour mark I returned to the waiting area and waited. No one approached me with any problems. At the 2.5 hour mark, I approaced the clerk and asked how much longer. He informed me that they had not started because they could not find wheel lock, nor could they call me because I had a long distance number! I was furious! The customer service at this location was horrible! I asked did it occur to them to page me or use a universal key to unlock wheel? I retrieved the wheel lock key and waited another hour to have procedure completed. The manager did offer me a discount to compensate for their incompetence. I will not visit this location again. The clerk acted like it was no big deal that he had dropped the ball. I ended up spending 5.5 hours having 2 tires installed.

For the second time this Walmart auto center was not open during posted hours. I called twice, no answer. When I arrived I was told they were closed an hour before what’s posted on the door and online. Super unprofessional!

I made an appointment to change 4 tires( my car is AWD and I had to change all of them). The receptionist told me that they have tires available for me and gave me an appointment for next day. when I went there, they said they only have three tires available. Waste of my an hour time, gas and mileage. Very disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend the services here.

When I arrived.... There was only one car ahead of me. They had only two bay doors open due to remodeling of the others. They also had 3 mechanics on hand. I was there for an oil change. I was told 45mins to an hour. I did a little shopping and came back in 1 hour to check on my car thinking they were all done or at least close to being done. They told me because of my newer model car they couldnt do the oil change I selected. I was fine with the price increase because of the synthetic blend they had to use. Then they had no oil filters and had to get one off the shelf which drove up the price a little more. To make an already long story short...... A 20-30 minute oil change turned into a 2.5 hour oil change. Basically, 3 mechanics 2 cars(mine and the car ahead of me which they were working on already when I got there) and 2.5 hour oil change. To top it off.... I had to wait to be buzzed out of the door.... As if I havent done enough waiting in there. Never again will I fo there for any cat service.

I have been to other walmart auto centers that were fantastic. This just isnt one of them.I went in at 8:30 a.m. to get a new set of tires, planning to be there until about 10-10:30 when I had to go to work. When I found out that the lady who was waiting since 7am (when they open) - her car had not even been brought into the garage yet. All she needed was ONE TIRE. I walked right out.Mind you this was AFTER being turned away the night before; I got there at 5 pm and they close at 7. I was fine to come back since they sounded busy, but it is crystal clear that the folks there just dont really GAF.Save yourself the aggravation. Find another walmart.
