Called up to get a alternator for my 07 Saturn Aura. Action did have my Alternator at a great price! The staff was friendly and helpful, especially the cashier Brandon. He even carried the part out to my car for me. I will definitely be back.

Trying to get my truck inspected last minute only to find the check engine light was not working and when we opened the panel the whole panel failed. Action Auto was very helpful and friendly in a pinch. We got the replacement panel and back to the inspection the same day.

I was recently in a fender bender, and the lovely staff there was extremely helpful even during their busy hours. Some of the kindest and most caring people in the auto business! I love this place and highly recommend it! Definitely recommend!

I placed a order for a a/c compressor they said they would have a used one in 24/hrs. They never contacted me & told me they had to order a new one and it would take 2 WEEKS before getting it. THEY ALSO CHARGED ME A EXTRA $100 because of this!! Also they haven’t even given me my Core Charge for returning my old A/C compressor after I replaced it with the one they ordered. THEY NEVER CALL BACK ALWAYS ACT TOO BUSY.. or maybe it’s jus towards certain individuals either way I WOULD LIKE BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE

Dont even bother overpriced overpriced overpriced x3.I needed a starter for a overhead cam Ford Taurus. They didnt have the part but could get it for a $100.00. I thought, Wow auto zone has a rebuilt for 99.00. Yeah,dont even think of this place! I called Northside and got the part $48.00 out the door. To Action AutoParts before penetration use KY and at least a reach around.

This 5 star review is for the customer service alone. I called for a part for for 30+ year old car and wasnt to hopeful of finding it and unfortunately they didnt have it. But the person on the phone was very nice and helpful answering my questions. Customer service 5 stars will definitely call if I need other parts in the future.

Worst Customer Experience Ever, They put me on Hold & never got back on the phone..

Hands down the most unprofessional experience I have ever had with a junk yard. Called to buy a subframe on a Friday. Was told they had it, but they do not deliver to Buffalo and are not open on the weekends. Offered to pay up front over the phone if needed, she said it wasn’t. Told the lady on the phone we would be there when they open at 8 am Monday morning to pick it up, she said it would be ready. One of my employees arrived Monday morning to find out they did not pull the subframe out of the car and the guy working said he would let him know when it was ready. Would have been really helpful information to have before we drove an hour to pick up a part. My employee called me to tell me what was going on, and then tried to call the office back to figure out what to do because he couldn’t sit around in Rochester all day waiting. The person in the office (who you can see from the parking lot) ignored the phone. I called myself after that and the guy picked up right away at 8:26 am. After telling them what the situation was, they apologized and said they would deliver the subframe to us in Buffalo Monday afternoon once it was removed from the car. At 2:05 pm, someone from the office called to ask me if we still needed it, I said yes, and they said they would try to get it to us today. No one showed up. Did not hear from them at all on Tuesday and I called at 4:10 pm to find out what was going on. I was told someone would be here with the subframe Wednesday at noon. At 1:30pm Wedneday I called to find out what was going on because it wasn’t here yet. She said the driver was on his way and it would be here in 40 minutes. Finally at 2:18 pm the driver showed up with it. This subframe is for a customer’s vehicle. That has now been sitting in my shop since Friday, waiting for a subframe that I should have had Monday morning.

Ive been calling junkyards all morning looking for an old hard to find part. Most of the shops I talked to were very friendly but not Action Auto Parts. When I told the woman what I was looking for she snapped that she told me yesterday... ironic considering I didnt start calling anyone until this AM. She then put me on hold just to come back and scold me some more and ask we why were even bothering to have this conversation. Thats a great question, why would I bother to do business with them. I certainly wont make the mistake of trying that ever again.

I was very pleased with the people and the service I received here. Im not from this area and was needing to replace two tires. They did that and the cost was very reasonable. Once I went to pay, their card machine was down. I had to go to the atm at the gas station next door. When I came in to pay they took an additional $5 off the bill because they said it wasnt my fault there machine was down and they knew that using an atm had a fee. So they covered the fee. I was very pleased with my experience today. I recommend others to consider using them if they need a set of used tires.

Spent an hour to go down and pick out the parts only to be quoted $75 for three small seat belt mounting bolts or $125 for the whole ratty seat belt assembly which was in poor shape. Found a bunch of new ones on line for less.

I have a GMC S-10 with a 350 small block. I went to Advanced to get a 10 inch cooling fan. After spending 45 min trying to teach the retard at the counter how to use a computer I left with no fan. Than I went to Action Auto. I walked in and told the nice gentleman at the counter what I was looking for. The attractive lady sitting at a desk to the left of him looked over and said, we have one of those. So I went in the back warehouse with a nice young man that was wearing glasses, and sure enough hanging on the rack with hundreds of other fans was the exact one I was looking for. Now that was impressive. How did she know that? Anyways the young man with glasses took the fan over to his work bench and plugged it in to show me that it worked and it did. I was in and out in less than 10 min. Friendly atmosphere and great service. Next time I will skip the retards at Advanced and go see the woman that knows at Action Auto. Great job team Action way to go.

Waited one hour and fifteen minutes just for two aluminum rims and there expensive and wasnt even the same still we have cost $108 for two rims.

Needed a passenger window for my Pontiac Vibe and they were the only ones that had one within 100 miles. I was in and out with my window in 10 minutes. They have a large inventory and there is a certified mechanic available after hours. This will be my new go-to spot for parts.

My son was on his way home from college for Thanksgiving and hit a pothole, which damaged a front rim on his car. I called Action Auto and they got him set up with a rim, and a used tire when they discovered his tire was punctured. Great service - thank you very much!

I was looking for a very hard-to-find part, which I could not find anywhere else in town. Julie worked very hard to find a supplier that had the part and did, a high quality part for a good cost. There was an issue with the supplier, but Julie went above and beyond to take care of it. I am very pleased- I didnt think it could be done. I would go back to Action.

I have owned a construction company most of my life and am by no means a gear head. My friend Jim, a long time auto mechanic was with me and assured me Action Auto Parts would have what I needed...but for me going to a used auto part scrap yard was a little intimidating. However the people at the desk were busy but courteous and quick to help as were the workers out on the lot.. Needless to say we found exactly what we needed after which we met the women who ran this operation. No wonder the staff was so helpful... their boss is Solid Gold. The kind of person who puts nothing before the customer! The tail gate we bought for my pick up was an excellent condition factory part; not some after market piece of junk. It was well worth what I paid for it and the service was excellent right down to the personable cashier.Thank You!They can also order new parts if you dont find what you are looking for!

So far they head everything in stock and if not it take one day to be delivered. Prices a little high on certain items but I understood because the part was limited.

Yesterday I ordered a part and waiting for a whole hour just for them to tell me it wont be ready until tomorrow. I thought that was an inconvenience then I call this morning and the guy there is rude and tells me $30 more than the price I got yesterday! Unbelievable

The problem with a rating system like this is that its mainly the disgruntled that leave feedback, and theyre less than 1%. The rest of us happy customers rush home to install the part they miraculously and affordably found for us. They are not perfect, but in the incredibly complicated world of used parts, they know better than anyone Ive seen the multiple factors involved with changing models and years. Its always my starting place and I rarely have to go anywhere else.

Had a rim split on a 98 explorer..needed a replacement immediately.The replacement was not pretty but was good enough to get me rolling again.

Ive used action a few times and was happy with the service except for the last time in april of 2014. i paid for a new part to come in and they told me it would be here in 1-2 days and it took 7 days. i was not happy about that but the prices are great and like i said that was the only time i had issues.

Called 9:30am for a part he said they had it I drove 60 miles to get it gave them 6hrs to make sure it was pulled for lady to come out and say they didn’t have it I said thanks for a phone call

Prices seem fine here but the service is simply terrible. They are very rude every time I go there, and have even rudely talked me out of a sale. Seems like a bad business strategy but maybe that is just me. If people here were more friendly I might consider buying here but they talk down to you consistently even though half the time it seems like they have no idea what they are talking about. This goes especially for the kid behind the counter with the glasses, he is very rude and short with you and doesnt seem to have a clue about cars even though he will try to put in his two cents. I will never go back here again I would rather get decent service elsewhere. Also if you need any sort of specialty item they will charge you outrageously so beware of that.

I bought used snow tires. It was in bad condition and the guy at the desk told me that i can go and try to put it on and if it doesnt workout well i can return and get my money back in full. So i took it to firestone and i asked them to analyze the tire before putting it on but i told them it was my own tire from last year, (so that their decision is unbiased or neutral). They told me that its best if i dont use the tire because it doesnt have enough traction (idk anything about cars). So i just decided you know what ill just buy new tires and keep them every year that way i know for sure they are new and well. So i went back to return the used tire back to action auto parts and they told me they arent going to return my money and the least they could do for me is give me scraps cash or whatever its called which would have been like 10 bucks. I was so upset because he told me i could go try it out and then return it full price. This is the second time they have eff me up. So yeah dont go here unless you have to!!

The woman I dealt with hung up on me twice in the middle of a sentence, answered the phone by saying yeah, and puts me on hold WHILE IM TALKING to an off the hook phone next to a radio....I will not use this business and will advise whoever I speak to about their business.You lost a customer for LIFE.Take a class on business while youre at it, you obviously have never worked anywhere besides a junk yard, b/c you NEVER treat a customer like that.

Disorganized is the one word I would use to sum up my experiences. Ive been to this yard for 3 different parts. The first part I got, I went in ordered the part, left added instructions to give me the mounting hardware, and then came back later and got my parts with no waiting. That part was great.Second time, had them tell me the part wasnt available, but it might be coming on a truck later in the week. Call back several days later and part is still unavailable. Cant complain - if they dont have it, they cant sell it.Third time - wanted a ignition module for my car was told they had it in stock. Paid for it and was told there would be a 20 minute wait. Told them I would come back at the end of the day to pick it up and when I get there I find out no one had pulled the part. Waited an hour and fifteen minutes just to have someone tell me theyd have to refund my money because someone in the back couldnt find the part. Called back today to ask if theyd made any progress (was asked to call back the day before) and was told their shop in syracuse has the part. Was also told that Id have to come back, pay again for the part, and then wait 3 days for it to come in.Though some of my experiences were ok, their policy of forcing the customer to pre-pay for parts is beginning to wear thin - especially when they screw up and then still insist I come in yet again to pay. I even offered to let them keep the money pending delivery the first time they offered a refund and was told that they may not ever be able to get the part. In the end, if you ask me, I would rather not spend time waiting uselessly for part. I would also rather not come in, pay, come back to get a refund, then come back to pay, then come back again 3 days later to pick up a part. Thats four freakin visits for one part! Theyre also located in a spot thats hard to get in/out of due to traffic.Sorry, but with customer service like that, Im not going back if I can avoid it.
