Bought a speed queen washer after returning a front loader from a different retailer 6 years ago. Speed Queen is the best way to go no problems well built machine. Purchase experience was a good one also returned couple days ago to purchase a garage ready refrigerator.

We recently built a new home and our builder recommended we purchase our appliances from Sargents Appliance in Rochester. To be honest, the experience we had at Sargents was hands down the smoothest out of everything we dealt with during the new build process. Nick R provided some of the best customer service we have ever experienced, and hes the reason wed come back to Sargents for our next appliance purchase. Due to the pandemic everything is pretty much on back order, but Nick did a great job constantly updating us on the status of our orders and went above and beyond to make sure that our appliances were delivered the moment they became available at their store. We are super happy with all of the appliances that Nick recommended to us - he made the selection process super easy and quick. Also, the installer that Nick set us up with (Ernie) was very professional, prompt, and did an excellent job with all of the installs. Overall, we were beyond pleased with our experience at Sargents and would highly recommend it to all. Thanks again Nick for all of your help!

I don’t usually post bad reviews but I am so angry. We wound up with Sargent appliances because our builder sent us there. Best Buy had always worked just fine, thank you very much. The first thing that happened was I turned on my stove to use it for the first time and, after a little while, I noticed black ash floating through the air everywhere. They had left a cardboard piece on the back of the fan which caught fire. They did unapologetically come and replace the stove. Cool cool. Then also within the first year, the dishwasher went out. The beer fridge had an issue. The freezer door handle is jenky and loose and we were told we could tighten it on our own. Ok ok. Don’t know how to do that but big deal, right? So long as the thing doesn’t fall off. Now apparently my refrigerator is going. Won’t hold the temp, loud noisy fan sound inside. I call sargent. Yes it is past warranty. But I’ve had this “high end” fridge for 4 years. I call sargent and the man gave me a number for a refrigerator repair place. Moral of this story…I have had several houses and several refrigerators and other appliances. I have never had as much trouble with appliances as I have with sargent. I see a lot of glowing reviews and that’s awesome. I really really wish I could say the same.

This company has been giving my Aunt the run around on her appliances. They arrived damaged and she has bee ghosted by multiple locations in trying to get answers. They tried to delete her reviews from Facebook and an associate by the name of Dave was unnecessarily rude to her.Attached is her review of the company and why we do NOT recommend working with Sargent appliance.

First negative review I have ever written. Beware of Henry, same experience as previous review. Over promise on delivery date by weeks, does not have decency to follow up. Leaves it up to customer to follow up on delivery, simply disrespectful. Did not go here for price, rather service and deeply disappointed.

Making purchases on line at the Rochester store with the assistance of our salesman, Nick, was a wonderful experience. The positivity continued right through the delivery and setup with Shawn and Joe. They were considerate and more than helpful. They were professional while being friendly.

We were sent by the builder to this place as they work together for a new construction.At the beginning it looked good, polite and helpful. Looking in detail, they didnt listen, sold the wrong equipment (we asked for induction range and got just a normal electric range, even though it was a written request). Installation was one defect part and two incomplete parts. We had to wait one week to get the washing machine serviced and running. We had to call several times to get the dishwasher and the freezer installation finished and the missing parts installed. They didnt really care after they delivered the parts even though delivery was incomplete.Now I see that they took the additional parts (like filter bypass for fridge) with them, which are supposed to stay. The device usage was not explained or instruction given. The stove is incorrectly placed and not straight.........Neither a customer oriented nor expertise driven.Better find a real place to spend multiple thousand dollar in appliances.

We would give a zero if we could. Over promise under deliver. They set a delivery date, no call no show. Lost 2 days of work and then they call and come in the evening. Henry did not even have the decency to call, I had to call them. Undependable, horrible experience.

Here is why we go to Sargents to buy our appliances...great customer service. My husband will not even entertain buying a major appliance anywhere else because we know we can count on Sargents whenever we need support on one of our appliances. Also, ask for Jeremy. We met Jeremy when he first hired in 5 years ago and was in training. We needed a new refrigerator and washer and dryer so we were his first customer. Just recently, we needed a new stove and guess who was there to help us? Jeremy is so well versed in the products. He does not try to sell you. He tells you the pros and cons of each model and asks you what it is you want and need. He also price matches your appliance to every other on the web so that you get the best price. He even came in $20.00 less on my stove than everywhere else. so these are a few of the reasons we buy all our major appliances at Sargents.

We purchased a full set of kitchen appliances from Sargent for a kitchen remodel last year. We shopped around and they were able to get us the best price. Despite an initial issue with the refrigerator not cooling in the first 24 hours, they handled it immediately and had another unit delivered within a day. We would recommend shopping with Sargent Appliance.

I bought a refrigerator and microwave with enclosure May 17, 2018. I paid to have them come and measure. I wanted quality appliances that would fit into my kitchen. I was worried that things wouldnt fit and I told the salesman if I had to remove cabinets I would go for a built in. Nothing fit. They delivered the appliances and when they couldnt make them work they left. My microwave in a box, my stainless steel enclosure dented (replaced immediately) and in a box and the installer dented the refrigerator door. It is October. I finally found someone to take a cupboard out and cut it down and to rebuild the microwave enclosure. I should have not trusted them and bought a built in. I went in today to schedule the door replacement and Patty told me I had to open and inspect the door before she would schedule the replacement. I asked about an extended warranty since 6 months have passed and although the refrigerator has been used even though it protruded into the room partially blocking a door, the microwave was in a box. I was told not to worry they would take care of me since it has only been a couple of months. I dont believe them at all. They said they would take care of me on the installation and didnt. 5 years ago I bought a double oven and they had a guy who put it in, and even built me a cookie sheet drawer out of the extra space since it was 6 inches shorter. That guy still works for them, but told me he doesnt do that kind of work anymore. For this kind of customer service I can order on line and save money.

Its no wonder to us that Sargent Appliance has been around forever. What a great place in Rochester to go and see so many varieties of appliances and even some great kitchen mock-ups.I walked in with many questions all of which were answered and beyond. A helpful team that was willing to put up with all my questions, give me printouts and get me out the door with a wonderful price.I highly recommend Sargent Appliance instead of the big box stores because youll get much more hands on assistance and information.

We felt as though we were interrupting their social time by asking about appliances, eventually some older lady asked if she could help and immediately chastised us for standing too close to her, although we were separated by a counter and we were on the x marks, we left and went to ABC Warehouse and spent $4209.00, obviously Sargents is not interested in servicing the local people ......avoid this store .....

This place is a complete disaster. I purchased a high end Kitchen Aid Dishwasher from Sargent Appliances. The day after the purchase we started to have issues. Sargent was no where to help. I had to take up the matter to Whirlpool for resolution. Three months ago, when I decided to visit Rochester Store again Sales persons were arrogant, cocky and rude. They did not even acknowledge our presence in the store. This incident was Sargents loss when I walked out of the store and went to ABC Warehouse, Shelby Township where I spend $3,000 for Kitchen appliances. I will choose ABC all day over Sargent. Stay away from this place.

Gee - try to get some help on this place it’s impossible. Came in specifically to look at speed queen as I “thought” my mind was made up that that’s the washer and dryer combo I wanted to purchase. Plenty of help, no one approached me. Took photos of the different machines, took the specs of the different machines, waited at the washing machines - no one asked if they could help me. I left and announced loudly “guess I’ll go someplace that wants to help me.” Still - they just looked at me! HELLO - what a disgusting way to treat customers! Very different from the Hall Road experience. Sorry you’re too busy to help me I don’t beg people to take my money

First let me start off by saying it will always pay off in the long run to avoid the big box stores and go with local business. Why? Because at the end of the day the same sale persons will be there 2 years later when you need help...and that was just our case.Two years ago my wife and I bought a new house and with that came the need to purchase all new appliances. After shopping around for some reason we decided to go with Best Buy just to save a few dollars. Appliances were ordered and scheduled for delivery on the day we were moving in. By about 5:00 PM moving day no one had shown up and we were getting s little worried so we decided to call and find out what was going on. After speaking to the manager of Best Buy we were told that a mistake was made in the delivery system and it would be about 2 weeks before they could come and were unable to do anything outside their normal process. This of course made us furious given the amount of money we had spent with them. Not to mention being in a new house with no appliances for two weeks.The next morning I called Sargent Appliance and explained to them what happened and asked if they could do anything to help us. I spoke with William, gave him the background on what happened, and what we were looking for. He said that they actually had the same models in stock and I should come in to see when they could get them out. I told him consider them sold and I would be right in. When I walked in the door and met William he let me know that everything was good, they are loading all the appliances on the delivery truck now, and they should be out with installers in a few hours. I signed some finance papers, thanked him religiously, and told him that we always come to him when we need appliances for the house. Everything was installed that day. Sargent and William basically saved our day. I called Best Buy and happily canceled a $7,000+ order even after they offered us a $1,500 gift card. I told them they will never see a dime of my money again.Lets fast forward now to 2014 and the story of our lemon refrigerator. Since we got the refrigerator (I wont mention the manufacturers name) we have had multiple issues with it. Right before this past Christmas (2014) we woke up to water on the floor and a refrigerator full of spoiled food. The unit completely failed and blew warm air all night. After speaking with the manufacturer and being told that it will be about a week until they can come out to repair....I had just had it. I went into Sargent that morning and saw William there. After a few years he still remembered me and listened while I explained to him what happened. Immediately he started to collect the repair history and documentation on all our purchases from the same manufacturer. He then got in contact with his rep to see what could be done to simply replace our fridge because of all the problems. After working and pushing on the manufacturer we were offered a different model fridge and had it to our house within a few days! The delivery guys showed up and had the old fridge out and the new one in its place within a few minutes. About an hour later an installer showed up to connect the water line and make sure everything was running like it should.The knowledge, professionalism, and customer service we received not only from William but also from the rest of the group at Sargent was great. It was their persistence to help us that got the job done. It will always pay off in the long run to develop a relationship with your local business like it did here!

Worst appliance company! Buyer beware they will oversell and under deliver. Dont fall for their service plan either. They will sell you extended service and when you call to use it the company tells you they dont service your area. We were without a refrigerator for over a month with no help from Sargent in a unit that was under extended warranty. Needless to say once we called ge they got it fixed by bypassing Sargent all together. Oh and their owner........just a rotten business person. Rude, and unappolagetic.

My husband and I went to Sargent after having a bad experience with Witbeck Applicance on Orchard Lake Road in West Bloomfield. We worked with Nick and he helped us choose a dryer that could be side-vented and installed as soon as possible. We bought it on Saturday, October 14, and it was delivered and installed on Tuesday, October 17th. Very good experience!
