Appliance Village has exceptional prices. Also, the salesman at the Rochester, MN store was super honest about what they could and couldnt deliver compared to other stores. Ive never dealt with a salesman like that anywhere else. Its obvious they dont work on commission; they just serve the customer. Based on my experience, I would absolutely buy from them. I highly recommend Appliance Village.

We moved to Rochester fairly recently. The built-in oven in the house we bought needed to be replaced. We went to Appliance Village and were treated really well. I found out that the new ovens are larger than the one we needed to replace. Appliance Village (Randy) hooked us up with a service that could install the new oven and deal with making the existing space big enough to fit the new oven (see subsequent review for Pike Design and Construction). I enjoyed doing business here and will definitely be back.

Terrible customer service. After 4 tries of trying to get us the correct vent hood liner, we went elsewhere. When my husband went in for a refund, one of the salespeople went off on him because we couldn’t wait any longer. My husband tried to explain that Appliance Village didn’t give us the correct size, and then tried to give us a used one that was dented and had grease on it, the guy just turned and walked away! Unbelievable that we were treated this way when it was their mistake. We needed this vent 2 weeks ago so our cabinet maker could build the hood cover, so NO we couldn’t wait another day. I can’t believe customers are treated this way.

Ive been a long time resident of this area and if you learn anything, its who is reputable. This place is. After saving a buck going somewhere else, Ive had to call in Appliance Village to fix whats broken or not installed correctly. That is how you get peace of mind. This time Ive gone directly to A.V.. Last time too.

I paid for new washer and dryer set.. Part cash and part credit card. Received washer dented and scratched. They agreed to refund $75 back. They insisted on refunding it back to my credit card which could take up to 10 days instead of issuing a check. I did also pay several hundred in cash but that fact was completely unacknowledged. Their customer service lacks courtesy and professionalism. All they seem to care about is getting your money. I will not recommend them to anyone. If it was up to me, I wouldn’t even give them 1 star.

Went in to buy a new dryer the gentleman who helped me recommend a refurbished one saying that it was better than the ones I was looking at and that he had the same dryer.well right after the warranty expired it stoped spinning. I paid to have the service man come and fix it. He stated that the belt had fallen off because a part was bent. However he didnt fix the problem. Now just after warranty on the repair work is up we have the same issue with the belt because the problem that caused the issue wasnt fixed to begin with. I must add that the part that was bent was not something that happened here. I have called the service department to see what they will do about it and all I got was that they have to call me back.He took my name and number but no other information and I am still waiting for the call. Ifbthey make it right and fix the issue I will change my rating but thos should have never happened to begin with. I should not have been sold a product that was already damaged. And when the issue was discovered it should have been fixed at no charge.

Needed obscure part for a discontinued dishwasher. While we did not find it, I appreciated the extra effort exerted by the parts department to try and find it.

I wouldnt give them even one star if that was an option. I called looking for a part for my washing machine. Brian answered the phone. He was rude, acted like my business was bothering him. Spoke down to me as if I had no knowledge of what Im looking for. Save yourself the grief and order your parts offline. A business like this doesnt need to be in operation.

I do not recommend purchasing any appliances from this store. Our brand new house had a stove, fridge and dishwasher that were bought from appliance village. We had issues with our fridge and appliance village attempted to fix it three separate times, but never resolved our issue. Then our dishwasher broke, and the motor “was terrible” yet wasn’t covered under warranty after living in the home for 12 months. As they were here assessing the dishwasher, the fridge made the noise that we had complained about for the last 12 months, and we were told there isn’t anything they could do about it since the warranty is 2 weeks past due. However, we have been complaining about the issue with the fridge prior to the warranty ending. I am very concerned how they do business and will never recommend their services to anyone. Extremely disappointed how we were treated when it came to our brand new appliances.

I sized down and finally bought a town home. However, I absolutely hated my dishwasher in the kitchen Whoever thought that putting utensils in the door was an idiot. You have to move over the bottom drawer every time you have some utensils to add. It was also an older model which wasnt taken good care of, so where did I go for a new dishwasher? I went to Appliance Village. They have a great website where I could see many of the dishwashers they can sell you. I then went into the store and spoke to Randy, who was very knowledgeable about dishwashers. He even suggested I could bring in pots and pans and dishes to try out some of them, that is to see how they fit, which apparently a lot of customers do. Well, after looking at a bunch and almost buying an interesting Paykel and Fisher dishwasher, I bought my Bosch dishwasher, the first stainless steel appliance I have ever purchased. I love it! It does an awesome job cleaning my dishes and even has a way to do a small load, should I want to do that. Thanks to Randy, I now only got a great dishwasher, but I got a great price on the dishwasher. I will be buying all of my appliances in the future from Randy at Appliance Village.

I liked Appliance Village. After buying a couple of appliances there, I decided I would do all my appliance purchasing there in the future. But then my Samsung washing machine broke. I had purchased it just 3 years ago in October. I waited a week and a half for somebody to come look at it and it was determined that the cost of repair would exceed the over $800 I spent on it 3 years ago. I bought it because Appliance Village had it in stock and it was supposed to be good quality. They recommended it. When it broke 3 years later and I paid about $100 for somebody from their store to look at it, their idea of standing behind their product was to give me a coupon for $25 off the purchase of another washing machine. No thank you! I will not give this business another dime towards any appliance ever again. I recommend that anyone looking to purchase an appliance here, do your research, and keep your expectations low. Maybe then you wont be disappointed like I was.

I needed a new filter for my water and ice maker for my fridge, I had no idea what kind of filter needed. But, by just emailing Randy the make of my fridge, the time frame of when the fridge was purchased, the location of the filter, and how the filter is removed, he was able to find a filter for me and deliver it to a meeting I have with him. If that is not first rate service, I dont know what is! I highly recommend using Appliance Village for your appliance needs!

Appliance village is a wonderful family owned local store with incredible service. We needed some parts replaced on our washer, however, it turned out that wasnt the full problem and we needed to have it replaced. I called them and even though the part had already been installed, they gave me in-store credit to be used. Highly recommend these guys over any of the big box stores.

Salesman was very informative and pointed out what was good and what was bad on various models. There prices are somewhat higher than the competition for the same product.

We try to keep the business that we can local. I tend to feel like local businesses care more about their customers and the products they are selling. We had a wonderful experience in the store but since we bought our appliances we have had nothing but problems. In the store we were told how amazing this stainless steel Maytag appliance package was (more then we had wanted to spend but we wanted quality). We got the fridge and then the microwave (we were planning on getting the oven and dish washer to match but that is 100% not happening anymore. we have had nothing but problems with the fridge - Appliance Village was nice enough to help us get these known problems and fix it even tho the one year warranty was up. But now the $400 microwave is not working, and big surprise the one year warranty is up and now no one will help us unless we spend the $80.00 charge to have someone come out and look at it, and then pay for it to get fixed. The Maytag appliance package is horrible. Its expensive and absolutely horrible. And the personal and caring experience I would hope to get when shopping local is just not happening here. Its just super disappointing to spend so much money on what you are told are hight quality appliances and then just literally have absolutely nothing but problems.

First time home buyers going in to buy our first appliance.We researched a lot ahead of time and knew the one we wanted.We showed the gentleman the microwave. Instead of trying to upsell me, he showed me a cheaper model that was very similar if we were looking to save money. We still went with the more expensive microwave, but it was nice to have an honest person suggest a cheaper alternative!In addition we had to order our microwave, it took 3 days to come in. When I came to pick it up, it took less than 2 minutes to get me paid and it in the car! There was no extra hassle, no signing your life away (which is the experience I had at Home Depot) and he assured me if anything was wrong, I could return it (Which I was not allowed to do at Home Depot).All in all, I recommend and I will be going back.

We just purchased a new LG washer/dryer from Appliance Village. The sales representative had incredible knowledge on all the products. The difference in product knowledge between staff here versus the box stores was night and day and the price was actually better at Appliance Village. The delivery crew did a fantastic job as well. Will be coming here again.

Our Saturday began miserably our faithful old washer released all its water on to our floor. It had been with us for 7 or 8 years and been through 3 moves so we thought it was time to die. On the recommendation from some friends, and our desire to buy locally we went to Appliance Village. We met an awesome sales guy, but I cant remember his name off hand, looks like he hit the gym frequently though. He got us the washer and dryer we wanted, even took time to go to the warehouse and help us load them up. Overall great experience from great local guys.

Awful customer service, if you don’t get your appliance here they will not help you at all. We purchased a washer at Best Buy and when it broke they told us to call the manufacturer (long story with Best Buy they told us we had warranty and sent Geek Squad our to our home but then said we didn’t have warranty but geek squad took parts of the machine apart) who set us up with Appliance Village. I set up an appointment and when no one showed up I called only to be told that they wouldn’t come unless someone would put the machine back together and very rudely told me (Brian or Ryan in service) to go back to the place I got the machine! For a local place I would expect better than this, very disappointed.

I have been using Appliance Village exclusively for years because their service and KNOWLEDGE cannot be beat. Top it off, theyre pricing is the same or better as those big box stores.

GE washer dryer highly recommended by sales. Bought GE washer &dryer 11/27/18. It was delivered 12/10/18. GE washer very noisy first time using it. Washer vibration is horrendous. GE Dryer squeaks and weve only had it 2 weeks. Appliance Village is going to charge us 25% ($450) to return when the product was bad immediately. I didnt know we would be forced to pay so much to return a defective product within 2 weeks of purchasing it.

Very helpful, local, will come to your house to fix it as long as your in town. Service men on site. Dont have to rely on a 1800, outsourced service company. 3yr warranty included in price. Inexpensive delivery and recycling charge to remove old appliance.

I spent $2600 on a new Maytag refrigerator about one year ago and have had nothing but problems with it... first some 3 way valve went out and it started making a horrible noise so loud it was waking me up at night, and it took them over a week to come out and look at it. Now the temp in the fridge stays warm and will not keep anything cool....and because I didnt buy an extended warranty Appliance Village pretty much told me its not there problem anymore. Nice customer service guys. I will definitely finish buying the rest of my kitchen appliances elsewhere. (Update) after posting this review, my sales rep Scott from Appliance Village reached out to me and also contacted Maytag about the issue and they agreed to pay for the repair since this was a known issue with this refrigerator. Thank you Scott for providing the great customer service!

I cant say much for their sales but I requested service for our gas range and was treated extremely rudely on the phone by a tech. He basically said that because I didnt buy it from them, he was unable to help me. In his words, That issue is between you and the place you bought, I cant help you. This is after Frigidaire specifically gave me their names as an authorized service dealer.

I wish I could give 0 stars, because this place deserves it. The salesman was very nice and knowledgeable, but after we purchased our new fridge on November 17th, it all went downhill from there. There was no communication about the delays that were occurring during the delivery from the factory (3 week delay and no update any of the weeks). There was no communication for delivery, I had to call to schedule it which I shouldn’t have to do. We received a call 30 minutes prior to delivery that it was on the way, I guess it was a good thing we were home. I will not purchasing anything from Appliance Village again and will be going elsewhere for my appliances in the future.EDIT: 2 weeks have gone by now after they said to contact them, and no response even after I took time out of my day to respond the day the comment was added. Shows the “dedication” they have to communication with customers.

Unfortunately, here’s another example of Rochester’s business model:July 30 2018: Peruse the floor...lots of people coming and going without any acknowledgement. Finally snagged an employee. Inquire as to stock (oh, not that one; oh, sorry we don’t have that one either; oh, well we have one but it’s already spoken for but let’s see if we can snag it and order another for them). Finally opted for a model which required an order. “It’ll be here in a week” (and invoice says it’ll be in on 8/8). They direct you to an employee who “contracts” for install for cash discount (nothing shady there, right?). Get everything ordered and they’ll call when it arrives.Aug 8, 2018: don’t hear a peep. Call them. First person says “well, uh, uhm, can I put you on hold?” Literally 5 minutes later, he comes back on “well our order guy isn’t here today so he’ll call you tomorrow”. Uhm, excuse me but do you have my dishwasher or not? “Well, it’s somewhere between here and there.” (Yea, sure, Timbuktu?). Fine, call me back.Aug 9, 2018: I get a call from original sales guy. “Hey, your dishwasher will be here NEXT Friday!” (He sounds excited about this amazing turnaround that’s only 10 days later than expected!). My reply: “let’s do this...give me a refund and cancel my order” (that you obviously gave to someone else like you originally tried to do for me on the sales floor). “Uh, uhm, okay we can do that.” Great, thanks. (Another call, “uhm, our machine doesn’t have any way of saving your information so you’ll have to come in and process the refund....FINE!).In sum, go elsewhere unless you want the runaround and lies. Not for me! And if you have my dishwasher, shame on you!Meanwhile, 8/10, go to competition, get same brand, similar model dishwasher IN STOCK and ready for install next Wednesday 8/15.

So disappointed in their customer service. Bought a refrigerator from them 2 years ago and had to replace the ice machine 13 months later. Now, 10 months later, its broken again, and they want NO PART in helping us. Suggested WE had to deal with manufacturer because they have no contact with them. The Appliance Village salesman STRONGLY recommended the refrigerator, they were happy to take our $1700 and now, they have no interest in helping in any way... Didnt even return my final call to the service department after promising to further look into it and call back. SO DISAPPOINTING and really BAD for (their) business. NEED to find a new appliance store which cares for its customers ... even after the sale!

These guys are fantastic.

Dryer belt broke over the weekend and after calling the store that I had purchased from, I tried here at my cousins suggestion. Not only did they have a new dryer belt in stock, they recommended the Whirlpool part instead because it was the same thing and $20 cheaper than the Samsung version I was looking for.

The worker helped by trying to solve a nonmecanical problem, to keep me from having to buy a new washer. Doesnt seem like they are out to get your money.
