This place is truly unique and awesome! If you are looking for something special or something to repurpose. We purchased an old shelf to make into a desk for my husband. We originally went looking for a door but noticed the prices here were a bit out of our price range. Note some items are priced high but you can find some great pieces. This is also a huge store it just seems to keep going and going.

WOW! Where to start! This place is huge! Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly, selection is amazing and always changing. My fiance and I needed a specific style of vintage door (no longer made) for a repair to our 1930s era house. After having no luck in the Buffalo NY area, we took a chance and drove to Rochester to see if we could find a door that was close enough. Imagine our delighted surprise to find that they had not something close to what we wanted, but exactly what we needed! They sell both original and reproduction materials in a well organized store. On a scale of 1 to 10, this place rates a 1000+!

What an awesome place! If you have an older place in need of some hard to find parts, or even just want to add some interesting details to a newer house, or just want to spend a few hours looking around at SO much cool stuff, this is the place! 👍🏻 Staff has always been friendly and helpful, too. Fun place to visit!

This place does not disappoint. Youll go in just to look and walk out with the perfect item for your project. Today was a door - we knew it was going to be an odd size we needed, or a solid door we could modify to fit the space. We found one not only in AMAZING shape, it was already cut to a size we coule use AND it had this beautiful ribbed glass. A quick wash and oil and she will be beautiful for years to come!

Love ReHouse! Always fun to browse their inventory of vintage finds. I recently remodeled my bathroom and found perfect molding that they cut for me. After cleaning it and painting it, it was a beautiful frame around my existing (huge!) mirror. I also found an awesome set of bathroom fixtures (knobs for hot, cold and waste). I had my handy man mount these to my bathroom door for robe/towel hooks! Thats what I love about this place, you can really have fun and be creative.

Extensive and eclectic selection of antique, old, or sometimes even modern architectural delights, from antique wood-fired stoves to clawfoot tubs, to hardwood doors and railings, mirrors, lighting, screens, way too much to list out here. Check them out, find that perfect something for your home, and keep these treasures out of the landfills.

This place is amazing. We spent a couple of hours walking around and getting ideas. We love the concept of recycling, reusing and celebrating history, Re-House embraces this wholly and beautifully. The store space is meticulously organized and displayed. My boyfriend owns his own business restoring and moving historical barns, he was incredibly impressed with the inventory and organization. The staff was ever present and knowledgeable, but not overbearing. My only request to the public is, if youre bringing young children in, please have them respect the items they can reach and touch. Watching two kids between 7 and 10 years of age beat on the piano while the parent dismissively walked around was frustrating. Perfect opportunity to teach our young ones the value of items we can reuse and re-love!

Most unique antique store around. I love going in here and seeing things that I used to see at my grandparents, brings back so many good memories. Sometimes youll even see some columns, a door, or a stairway from an old local building that had been remodeled. Its super cool being able tp add a piece of Rochester history into your home.

Review №35

While I Appreciate all the hard work it takes to collect and preserve that fantastic history of inventory, many items are not clearly marked and unfortunately the prices boarder between obscene and obnoxious. Sadly Id only go to look or to salvage ideas. Its a must see, but unfortunately, thats all. If you feel the need or are well off enough to drastically overpay for items you could also fine on Ebay, yard sales or on the side of the road you may want to just preserve your own time. Sadly a bitter sweet experience .

Weve been to Black Dog Salvage in Roanoke and I assure you that ReHouse has far better stuff at very favorable pricing. Clean and well-displayed. We found the ReHouse staff to be knowledgable and helpful but willingly gave us time by ourselves to debate a very large (for us) purchase. Yes, we bought it.
