Always thought this was a good place to pick up a needed hardware item. However, they do not adhere to the mask mandate set by the Governor during the pandemic to protect people, and have even put up a sign on the door advising its your discretion regarding wearing a mask. No employee or shopper wearing one except me at time of my visit. Very disappointed that Ace does not care more about their employees/customers health. I will not shop there at this time.

What a great small town store! Theyve got pretty much everything you need and someone to help you find it. Everything from threading pipe to seeding the lawn. Friendly help, Gomez is the paint EXPERT! I needed paint to match the kitchen cabinets, their knowledge and their machine did an awesome job, matched perfectly.

I can say Ive never had a bad experience at this location. They have almost anything a homeowner would need (and some contractors) for most repairs.A good place to go when you dont want to drive to another town and find a valve in a 3 acre store.

I went in to get some slats cut for a bed. Everyone was very helpful. I was in and out in less than 15 minutes, which gave me a little time to wander around looking at all of their spring decor.

Just visiting Rochelle and needed some items at the local hardware store, so I Googled and found ACE. I was very impressed with this location. Wide selection of items and very friendly staff, much better than the ACE in my hometown. I wanted to stay and browse more but had to run.

I found more stuff that I didnt know I needed. Went for dog food and bought more. Clean store, staff is friendly and very helpful. Ace is the Place still. Check them out.

I go here to deliver freight. I dont know too much about the store part if things, but they receiving guy is always nice, has very good customer service, and gets me unloaded quick.

Needed some phone accessories that my local facility didnt have. They called Rochelle for me, Rochelle put my items aside at the front desk, and I had smooth sailing once I got to the store. It was very close to closing time, so I didnt get a chance to look at everything there, but saw so many interesting items for sale that Im planning a return trip as soon as the roads are cleared of snow. This certainly seems to be a full service hardware store in every way.

Went in for an air compressor and Josh was a great help. Staff is knowledgeable and has always found what I needed, or pointed me in the right direction.

Great upgrades since it was converted from the old True Value. The building and property are significantly cleaner and more organized. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable. Nice selection of goods & products as well.

Moving into new home. They are close and handy. Daily visit is almost essential as I put things up. Help is usually very good.

The stuff WalMart doesnt have.Also, nuts and bolts laid out like a true hardware store.Glad they are there.

These people are awesome. I drive a truck and when you’re 1500 miles from home when something goes wrong, it can get stressful. Went into the Ace and the staff was very helpful helping me get the part I needed to keep rolling. Very professional yet personable. My hats off to all of them.

Its great to have a hardware store in town. May be a bit more expensive than some other box stores but they have a decent selection.

This place seemed to improve considerably coming under new ownership (and no longer being a Do It Best). The staff is much friendlier, the store is better organized, and they seem to have a good selection of things.Gomez in particular is an exceptional employee, always greeting me and seeing if I need help, and he already recognizes me after a trip or two there since they opened.Im surprised how often I come in here now, but they often have what I need, and the prices are usually reasonable.

Needed a riding mower, asap, and Ace Rochelle delivered! Same day service, better than waiting for Rockford, love my new Craftsman tight turn with steering wheel😎 Love shopping local hometown.

Im always happy to see new business pop up in Rochelle, there really arent enough to stay in town at times. I do hope this one lasts because Walmart really is a bit much to go to when you want a place specifically made for the tools youre searching for. Id definitely recommend stopping in.

I enjoyed shopping here since the staff are very helpful, and they know their products. The only drawback to this Ace is that they dont stock enough items; in this case, sheets of insulation for my rehab project werent available for sale.

This used to be a Do it Best before Ace bought them out. We always shopped there before Ace took over they had wonderful service and acceptable prices. We always bought our bottled water for our water cooler from them as well. When Ace took over they almost doubled the price of the bottled water and other items in the store. Then to make matters worse they changed water companies to make more money and went with Pure Flo water that is the most God awful tasting and smelling water. It tastes and smells like over chlorinated pool water. This stuff can not be good for a body. We will not be buying water from here anymore. It is worth it to drive 45 minutes for spring water for less cost even.

My go to place when in Rochelle for many construction jobs.

Prices are high, but if you need something quick and dont want to drive to DeKalb/Sycamore or Rockford this is the place to go. The staff are always very helpful.

Helpful workers and usually have what I need. A little over priced but better than driving to Dekalb or Rockford.

Three of the workers that I saw did not have a mask on.
