We drove here to look for a drink that we had in CA during our last visit, and we were blown away at the huge selection of alcoholic drinks they had. Literally like a child at a candy store. I am going to recommend this spot to all I know. Weβre not big on wine, but their beer and IPA, wheat ale selections are pretty good. Itβs definitely worth the drive and the toll (from NYC). Here are some pics of the place that I took during my time here.As for the customer service, really top level. We definitely looked a bit unsure of where to go and a gentleman came straight to us, helped us find the drinks we had put on the side and he led us directly to the right place. Then, the gentleman who held them to the side was helpful and kind. They definitely know how to work with people who want their drinks ππΎ. Thanks for a good time! We will be back!
Love this place. They always have the cheapest prices for branded wines. They also have affordable organic wine, which is a dinner staple for me. The management is super kind and friendly as well.

You need to know your wines, way too many selections. Gems are there, But you have to know in advance what you are going to buy. Staff will direct you to their special wines only.
Total Wine is great store, this is a Liquor superstore that has a bunch of different Liquors, Wines, ETC. The staff is also very helpful and its not far its about 20 minutes over the Tappan Zee/ Mario Cuomo Bridge.

Would have gotten 5 stars asked the Asian guy a question and he wasnt dealing with another customer he answered as if we were bothering him.. then we he did turn around he started following us. Was he racially profiling us felt like it even though my daughter shops here for her events
Ordered 4x cognac glasses and 1 was broken. First call I got on hold and was disconnected (seemed on purpose). Second call, I was transferred and now on hold for over 22 minutes; ended up calling on my other phone while on hold simultaneously and got a hold of someone after 9 minutes on that phoneβno help either; simply gave me a 855 area code number. Waste of extra money for shipping; will just eat the loss of money as this is not worth it. Shipping should just include the number for assistance instead of taking up time. Process is terrible, shipped from a store but store cannot assist at all (supposedly).
Had a nice associate that listened and more important, didnt hammer you on buying, his recommendations were good, well come back for another stocking run.
I usually have a great service when in there Im a very frequent customer, almost know the entire staff. Their is a new manager (not sure if new but I barely see him) was super rude. I had went left my I.D and came back I just asked if my stuff was in the register he rudely told me to go back and get the stuff again. I hate how they pick and choose on who to I.d I was with someone who had it and i said i will come back with mine and she was going to get hers, they didnt let her buy her stuff. Other than the inconvenience of today they are usually good.

Total wine is amazing, when you need advice on an item I love to talk to Marianne for spirits and Little John for wine. They never make me feel like I am uneducated, they talk to me like a friend, and always have the best recommendations - theyβve never steered me wrong! Also they make some of their own special barrel concoctions there that are amazing, and when the plague goes away you should take their classes. Just got confident enough to try to make my first Long Island Iced Tea and it was great - thanks guys!!!

I go to this place because of their selections, but they clearly need more training in customer service and stop nitpicking on who they want to I.D I was in with my mother she left her I.D and I had mine they literally didnβt let me buy my items because she didnβt have her I.D but I did and I was the one purchasing and I looked at the other register clearly kids that looked younger didnβt get asked to show their I.D and itβs not the first time I see some of the employees doing that. I usually have a good experience but the manager who was there on Sunday was super rude.

I highly recommend this place for a wide variety and great prices. I always seem to stumble upon hard to find bottles of liquor and/or wine and usually at exceptional price points. They offer discounts which come in handy when you want to buy in bulk. You are sure to be pleased.
Had a bad experience. I was summoned to a register and mid gait, a manager swooped in and put another customer right in front of me AND gave hum 10% off. I was completely ignored. No excuse me and no apology. I said something to the cashier but she said she had to defer to her manager. I said something to the manager and she apologized, not at all convincingly or sincerely. They have lost a customer. Just a little courtesy would have saved the really bad behavior.
I stopped in to Total Wine last week because I heard they carry a hard to find Bourbon called Penelope. I was in a bit of a rush and couldnt look around the whole store but WOW!! What an amazing selection of Bourbons!! I bought some Penelope and I plan to return soon to see what types of Cabs they carry. Incredible selection of beer, wines and spirits!
Great store for your needs. Variety for all. Big location and the staff are incredible. They are around to assist and re owned. Pre-covid they had great wine tasting classes. We learned so much about wine. Cant want for them to return!
This store is getting me through the pandemic. Endless selection and attentive staff who want to help you and recommend some new ideas. Great prices compared to local corner liquor stores. My last visit they recommended peanut butter whiskey - who knew!? I do wish they had a larger walk in refrigerator to store more beer/wines at cold temps.

Amazing wine selection but gets a low rating because while half their employees are helpful, the other half talk down to you and - instead of recommending their fave wines - tell you that your choice is bad, even if itβs your favorite! They need better customer service training. But otherwise amazing wine store.
This is a great place to buy ypur liquors, and if you dont know your wine just explain to the older host what tou like and you, for sure, wont regrat it!! This gentleman is unbelievable!! To bad i doni remember his name!!
Blown away by the selection and service here. Everyone was welcoming and helpful. The whiskey takes up an entire aisle with scotch on one side of it. Endless wine stores. Aisles of rum, tequila, specialty liquors. Theres an entire aisle of mixers as well. Found everything from quarter cask Laphroaig to green Chartreuse to St. Germaine, cassis, limoncello, and so much more. If you drink it, you will find it here.
This store had an amazing selection of wine and other spirits. Its like taking a Pennsylvania State store and multiplying it by 10. I would think that if you were looking for some particular wine and you couldnt find it there. It would most likely not exist. It seems like they have every type of wine that was ever made. If you want to find it go there.

I went there with a friend and was astounded by the level of customer service. They seem to have a great selection but Im not much of an alcohol drinker. The staff seems very knowledgeable and passionate about the products they sell.
I was told to check this place out and will definitely go back. I looked around and called I dont know how many places to find Herradura Ultra tequila and no one had it. Came into Total Wine, found it and picked two bottles of it up. Prices are reasonable and were comparable to the same online.

The size of the store is mind blowing. They had entire aisle of scotch, things that were rare and some Id never heard of.
First time visiting Total Wine and glad I did. They had the Smithwicks Red Ale I love. Very large selection of Wines and Beers. Prices are slightly better than at other stores. You end up saving more when buying in bulk.

I love this store. You can get lost here with all the options. My only complaint is that there are some wine sellers that can be a little pushy. Like, looking in your cart and telling you to buy something else. Let people ask for help instead of pressuring them and this would be 5 stars.

I used to shop in the River Edge store often because my office was close by. While I completely dislike their sorting of wine which is by varietal not country for everything but French and Italian wine, I have found many spectacular bottles. I have never liked one of the workers who tells people what they like instead of listening to what they like. I have witnessed him pulling a bottle of wine out of someones cart telling them you dont want this. On one visit I was looking for a special high end bottle >$250. He told me there are much better wines to choose. Frankly, if someone is buying a $250 bottle of wine, theres a good chance they know about wine.Last Fridays visit was awful. I drove over 20 miles to Total Wine to get a special bottle that their website said had many bottles in stock. Its not on the shelf so I ask this same above mentioned employee for help. He very rudely said they had none. When I told him about their website, he said that they have an inventory program problem. Never once did he apologize but only offered to sell me a different bottle. For the most part, the employees are very friendly and helpful. Its a shame that this rotten apple ruined my day. I think I will stick to some of the smaller shops that have better prices and service like Bottle King.

This is my go to store to get Crafthouse Cocktails which are almost impossible to find anywhere in Northern NJ except a few Total Wines and 1 Super Buy Rite and this store always has the biggest selection of them. While Im there I usually end up getting a bottle of Whisky as well. Prices are very competitive and the staff is always friendly and helpful.

This is my favorite wine store. I love the pick 6 program and some of the staff are just EXCELLENT. Tawfik has NEVER steered me wrong and Johns given me some pretty good ones as well. The manager tries, but he often tells you what HE likes versus recommended based on what YOU like. So just find Tawfik and youre welcome.
Awesome location; friend recommended it after I found it on website. Friendly and very helpful staff. Considering I went on the eve before Thanksgiving Day, place was not as packed as I though it may have been. Everything is organized and staff are above and beyond...I personally rate it a 10+.
So far, this is the only establishment (because calling it a store seems a little minimizing) Ive been to where you are highly likely to find any and every kind of wine and liquor youre looking for. If you cant find it here, you wont find it anywhere.

In a hectic rush for a last minute gift, Paul was incredibly helpful and knowledgable, demonstrating patience and some wonderful, realistic recommendations. This place is wine n liquor heaven. I come from Westchester at times when I have to purchase a big order. We have PJ in 207 but the knowledge all the reps pocess is what sets this apart. Every one is nice professional and helpful. Any budget any event they help you out. I also love the mix6 specials they permanently have. Any 6 bottles that qualify get 10 percent additional. It has parking huge selection dont know what else to say but go buy you wine beer and spirits here
4 out of 5 stars because they really tried to lock the door 7 minutes before closing. We convinced the security guard to let us in. And I got what I needed in time. The staff inside was super helpful even though they needed to open what I wanted with a key and it was the last minute. Love Total Wines. The price and extremely large selection are unbeatable!

Wowza!This place is amazing. If you are a wine lover you will NOT be disappointed. Imagine a grocery store except fill it with wine/spirits. If you love beer, again, you will not be disappointed. They even sell chocolate, and specialty glasses ( i.e., Moscow Mule Mugs). The prices are really good and the service is excellent. I had several workers approach and ask if I needed assistance. The person who helped me was so knowledgeable and pleasant. I simply love this place and Im coming from NY and paying an expensive toll!
Excellent selections, ordered online seemlessly. Very safe protocols and parking lot security directing traffic flow for easy pickup. It was madness the amount of people during the holidays in the parking lot but they were stocked and staffed to spread the spirit.

Total Wine is my go to place when my booze bugs call. I spent more than an hour wondering in there and was banned from dinner after I got home late. And the mobile app shows you where the bottles are located. Reviews and ratings in hand one can easily spend an hour there. More fun than malls.
