Last couple of times we have either called or visited the local store in Rio Grande City. We did not experience the awesome customer experience everyone here talks about. The Manager J.P. was not helpful at all if anything he was the opposite. My first attempt to do business with them I was looking for a exterior concrete sealer. I was not sure of the type of sealer to use, so I was asking J.P. for his suggestions . He was not helpful at all and didnt explain the product to me as a sales representative should of. It was obvious my questions were annoying him and he just wanted to hang up the phone. He further indicated that the product was not in stock and it would take 7 to 14 days to arrive. I said I rather drive to Mcallen and in about 45 minutes I could get my product. It was left at that and I just figured this guy was having a bad day.Today November 21, 2020, we have another project and my associate when in the store for materials. We were looking for paint because we were going to clean a metal beam that was rusted and paint afterwards. My associate indicated the Manager J. P. was there and he was not helpful at all. It seemed he had an attitude with the questions she was having about the product. When she decided to purchase the items she informed J.P. we had an account with them and would the special pricing be provided to us? He said NO, because the account was NOT opened in McAllen and we would have to travel to McAllen store to obtain special pricing.My associate called me and informed me about her experience. I told her I had also experienced difficulty with this same J.P. person in the past. I dont know if he just does not like WOMEN customers . I asked my male employees if they have issues with this J. P. person when they go to store and they all said NO. They indicated he goes out of his way to answer questions and help them with pricing and obtaining their products. I can only deduct that he has issues with female customers. He gets annoyed with them. If your a WOMEN. do not visit this location because your business is not welcomed.

They answered all my questions and help me out on the paint i was searching for and nice quality paint for very good prices.Thank you

Awesome personal! We went on a Sunday and got the professional help we needed for a shed were painting.

My contractor used this store for all the paint used in the construction of our house. It is approximately 7000 sq ft. The paint began to peel as soon as we moved in. We couldn’t grab a piece of toilet paper without touching the wall and affecting the coat. We couldn’t lean our broom handle against the wall without affecting the coat. If anything, even a bathroom towel was pressed against it, the paint would peel. A representative of this store came to inspect the paint job and agreed that we had received a “bad batch of paint” and assured me that the store would make it right. However, when my contractor went to the store to retrieve the paint, they flipped their script and refused to honor the warranty. This was a huge job and now my contractor is having to eat the cost of redoing the job. It is very disappointing when Sherwood Williams does not stand by their product or word.

I work here, so with that being said, its an awesome place to buy paint and anything else you might need for your painting projects!

This paint store employs people who know how to answer paint-related questions. The Walmart employee at their paint department did not know how to answer my paint questions.
