Sweet Fix made an awesome cake for our wedding just as we wanted. Yes, Sweet Fix made a SPAM can for our wedding cake topper. The can was cake too! Sweet Fix was very accommodating, we moved our wedding date 3 times because of Covid and we added more cake to the order as well. Thats Maggie, the cake designer standing next to the cake in the photo and a photo of the cake at the reception. TIP: Order more cake than you need. Your guests are gonna love it and youll want more for yourself!

Sweet Fix did an incredible job with the desserts for our wedding! They were easy to communicate with, flexible with so many changes related to COVID, and very reasonably priced. They were able to accommodate everything we asked for with flavors and dessert variety. They even made the macaroons with our wedding colors! We were impressed with how lovely they set up the table at the wedding and how wonderful everything tasted. We would go there any day for a sweet treat and would certainly recommend them to anyone planning a wedding around Richmond!

SO DELICOUS. Communication with the Sweet Fix team was a breeze—they were super responsive and accommodating to all our requests. Both of our wedding cakes were gluten-free and they were so tasty that nobody knew. All their flavors taste unique and their buttercreams have the perfect amount of sweetness, unlike some other places we tried. It was so hard to choose a flavor between all their delicious options that we had to do a second round of tasting. We’re so excited to go back and get Sweet Fix cupcakes on our anniversary!

We are so pleased to have chosen Sweet Fix to create the cake for our September 2020 wedding! Not only was the owner Amanda very personable, communicative, and easy to work with, the cake itself looked beautiful and tasted amazing. We wanted something simple and elegant in appearance, to allow for our florist to decorate with the same florals we used throughout the venue - the end result was perfect and exactly what we had in mind. We also appreciated the extensive flavor options, as well as the ability to set up multiple take-home tastings after the initial meeting at the bakery.One last note/rave - we originally had our wedding scheduled for April 2020, which had to be postponed due to COVID. Amanda was so understanding and flexible - she worked with us and our event coordinator to accommodate our new date without any issues. We are so grateful to have worked with such a fantastic team of vendors - we 100% recommend Sweet Fix, not only for the delicious/beautiful cake, but for the professionalism!

A wedding cake is one of the most fun parts when planning your wedding! We wanted a cake that represented us as a couple and also had little details highlighting both of our unique personalities and obviously a cake that tastes amazing! Amanda and her team were able to do this with ease! Even though our cake was so unique to us, with our anime and Harry Potter twists, Amanda and her team reassured us that this was right up their ally. Sweet fix was able to capture my husband and I on a cake. When guests saw our cake they all knew, “yup that’s Mitch and Lauren’s cake”. Even with all our personal touches and details Amanda still made our cake look elegant wedding cake! As much as we loved the aesthetics of the cake, it still need to taste incredible. Sweet fix has a variety of flavors and fun combinations we could choose for our cake. They made us an incredible cake with each tier featuring a different combination of flavors. Our guests could not get enough of that cake, and neither could we!! We’re so grateful to Amanda and the sweet fix team for what they did for us!!

Butter cream was over whipped and flavors were subpar, save your money please.

Sweet Fix made the cake for our June 2021 wedding and the experience was incredible from start to finish! Amanda and her team were so responsive, knowledgeable, and kind! We didnt have a solid plan coming into the tasting, but Amanda helped us get a better idea for what flavors and design ideas might fit our vision. The team also worked with us when our wedding plans changed due to COVID and they made sure we had everything we needed when we requested to pick up the cake ourselves. The design turned out better than we could have ever imagined and the cake itself was absolutely delicious--we were thrilled to share it with our family and friends! I reached out to Sweet Fix a couple months before my wedding after a nightmare with another bakery. Within days they had a sketch to me that described exactly what we discussed. Sweet Fix made this cake for me from inspiration to real life. My brother loves watches, so they made me a watch cake with my brothers nickname as the logo. It turn out perfect. We should have gotten a bigger cake because it didnt last long. It was a delicious red velvet cake with chocolate butter cream icing. It cost was $160 bucks and worth every penny.You must set an email account to order. It is a process, but for a great tasting specialty cake you cant go wrong with Sweet Fix.

Literally I do not have enough words to describe my experience from Sweet Fix. The customer service was exceptional and the creative work from the team there is unmatched. I showed them a vision I had for my boyfriend’s birthday cake and they exceeded my expectations. He loved the cake and it completely surprised him. After tasting cakes from several different bakeries for my wedding cake, I chose a cake from Sweet Fix. Almond cake, grand marnier buttercream and raspberry filling. The sample was wonderful.The actual cake was even tastier and looked beautiful. My husband and I wanted a simple design with sugared berries on top and Amanda delivered! She was willing to work with us on getting the cake to the restaurant, made sure the sugared berries would stay perfectly on the cake and included everything to box up the top tier for our first anniversary. We received lots of compliments on how delicious the cake was and how simple and classic it looked. Thank you Amanda for making our vision come to life and for creating such a delicious cake!

Amanda and her staff were professional and immensely helpful from the moment my wife and I contacted Sweet Fix RVA. We live in Florida, but our wedding was in Disputanta, VA. We called to set up a tasting on our visit prior to the wedding and Amanda continued to communicate with us up to the big day. I was impressed with all of the cake and icing flavors we tried during the tasting and it was difficult to select a few from them all. In the end we landed on two different cakes and icings for the wedding cake: banana cake with peanut butter buttercream and almond cake with vanilla buttercream. Additionally I had a groom’s cake with (my favorites): dark chocolate cake with coffee buttercream and caramel drizzle. This is the only cake I have a picture of and it was a fantastic design! Lego and STAR WARS have always been large parts of my life. Originally my wife thought I wanted a lightsaber battle between Lego Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader. I contacted Amanda in secret to create a Lego Han Solo and Leia Organa bride and groom. Amanda accommodated and my wife was pleasantly surprised by my design change.Thank you Amanda and Sweet Fix RVA!

Absolutely amazing! They made an amazing Mickey mouse with matching smush cake for my sons 1st birthday! It looked amazing and tasted just as good as it looked! Will book all my events that need cakes from they! Truely amazing!

I talked with Amanda about a cake that I wanted made for my husbands Promotion to SFC celebrations party. I sent a pic and said specifically what I wanted. After over 2 weeks of back and forth I wrote exact what I wanted and how big I wanted! I asked how much it would be for what I asked for! Instead of giving me a price of what I asked for. She instead told me she cant copy a cake or make it that big! Then why give me the option and not just tell me from the beginning ! She could have stated that she would make it as close as possible and add a splash of their own creative touch. Instead she wasted my time! Dont do business here!!

I absolutely love this bakery! I ordered a cake for my sons birthday and from start to finish, I was so pleased with how nice, professional and accommodating everyone was, especially Amanda. They exceeded my expectations with, not only the design of the cake, but the actual taste....best cake Ive ever had! You can tell they love what they do because their work is so clean and precise. I cant thank them enough for the outstanding job they did to make my sons day even more special. They have a customer for life!

Dont do business here! The response to my wife review was a lie. Amanda never stated that slots were filling up, or that they wouldnt be able to do a bigger cake. Just suggested smaller ones for our budget. Once we were willing to increase our budget, and asked for a bigger cake (the size we wanted was an option from the beginning) . My wife gave specific details to make the cake how I wanted it. Then we were told that they couldnt do the cake. Bad communication on there part. Annoyed and a total waist of time like my wife said.

I hired Amanda at Sweet Fix for our wedding cake, and I wanted to share my honest feedback with her and future brides looking for a cake artist. First of all, the good stuff: the flavor and decorations of the cake were fantastic. My guests and I were all very pleased with the flavors we chose, and the look of the cake was lovely. However, the reason I can only give 3 stars was actually around the business and experience of working with Amanda. One bit of feedback I hope they will take on is to offer event packages for the cake proposals. In my experience with all the other vendors I worked with for our wedding who were involved in food and beverage, we had packages that broke down the costs of what we were paying for, but didn’t nickel and dime every single little thing as separate charges. With Amanda at Sweet Fix, we kept receiving separate charges for the tasting (which was $20 for 4 very tiny cupcakes - barely enough to split with my spouse), for the design consultation, for specific details on the cake, etc. I am totally fine with compensating people for great work — but the way this was gone about left a bad taste in my mouth. It felt like I was being “nickel and dimed” over every little thing, instead of just paying for my wedding cake and all that comes with that process. Amanda was also extremely hard to get in touch with — I noticed when wedding season picked up, she got her assistant Kimberly to start responding for her, which was good, but only started shortly before our wedding. Finally, the last bit of feedback I would offer Amanda is around her attitude through emails. Several months before my wedding, we shifted the color scheme slightly and I requested to change the color of the fondant but keep the majority of the design the same. Her response was not very accommodating or open, and again brought up the fact that this would be an additional charge. Perhaps it would have gone better if she or her assistant just called me, because it could have been that her tone wasn’t coming across as intended - but I was emailing dozens of vendors for my wedding, and hers were markedly less warm and open than others’. So, all in all, overall the product was good, but the service left much to be desired.

Came in on a Thurs. Service is consistently good. The place has a great atmosphere.

Sweet fix did my dessert table and bride and groom cakes for my wedding. I can’t tell you how happy I was and my guests kept raving about the cupcakes and macaroons and our cake. Amanda is a genius and a guru when it comes to selected the perfect desserts for you...it was like she read my vision and was speaking my language without having to explain too much. My husband and I had two meetings with her and her creation was phenomenal. Also she is very prompt and very professional. I thank Sweet fix again for making my special day a memorable one.

I wanted to choose a cake for my wedding that didnt necessarily look good but something that tasted delicious. I did a cake tasting and everything tasted spectacular. So I decided to go with sweetfix . After the cake arrived and me and my husband cut into it, the cake was so dense and flavorless, I wasnt happy and neither were the guest. Im not sure what transpired here but it wasnt the same quality cake I had when I did the tasting. I promised everyone a delicious cake and I fell short on that promise. I would say they are a good choice but make sure the cake actually taste as good as the cupcake tasting.

Great flavors delicious and presentation was tempting. They have wide range of desserts options. I love this place. When I want to have any sweet than I usually go to this place. Nice place to visit and have a mouth watering sweet dish.

Being in the vendor industry I understand customer service, and my goodness, does Kim and her team express exceptional professionalism! She was very prompt on emailing me back every time and stayed on top of my order when I got busy brained. My husband and I had a very last minute military wedding. We need a small and simple but trendy art-like couples cake that went with our Art Gallery reception space. IT WAS PERFECT! We requested a reseed cup like flavor and it was TOO DIE FOR! Thank you so much ladies/gentleman for all of your hard work and making my day even more special. MWAH!!!

I fell in love with Sweet Fix over instagram over their diverse design abilities, which was only solidified after our first tasting. Their flavors are sensational, with a wide range of options to suit any taste bud. I went into it thinking I had to have one flavor but ordered another due to how delicious everything was, which is always a treat. I was sick of attending weddings where the cake was pretty enough but the flavor was lacking, and to this day people comment how good all of our cakes were, including the GF one. And the design, oh man. The sugar work on the florals were absolutely stunning, not many realized they were sugar and not real. Incredible attention to detail, easy to work with, professional, and responsive. Thank you for helping make my wedding perfect!

This is a review for the retail side. I boughy a caramel/chai mouse bomb for me and a coconut white chocolate pie and a banana Nutella cupcake for friends. My friends were so into the desserts that I had to wait until after they were finished to ask how they were and of course they raved about them!

First off the whole vibe this place gives off is amazing. Its super warm and inviting plus the staff is amazing. Both times Ive been to sweet fix they were closed, but they still let me in! Yesterday was 2 dollar cupcake Thursday and my oh my! I got a chunky monkey banana cupcake and a lavender cupcake. Best 4 dollars Ive spent all year. Ive never had either of those but both were super yummy and perfectly moist. I couldve eaten both cupcakes but what kind of monster would do that? So I decided to share and gave the lavender one to my girlfriend and I ate the chunky monkey. I was skeptical at first because when I think of lavender I never ever in a million years wouldve thunk it wouldve touched my soul like it did. 😩 Seriously some next level cupcakage going on. I dont know how they do it but it was pure magic. My girlfriend, who is a cupcake connisuer tried the lavender cupcake and was absolutely blown away not only by the beautiful presentation of it but the taste and smell of the cupcake. Stimulates all the senses! She even mentioned that it tasted better than Georgetown cupcakes. Thats Big Time! This is one of those cupcakes you gotta eat with a fork 🍴 slowly to basque in all of its glorious cupcakage. Love this place they will be around for a long time and Ill be a happy customer for a long time. Thank you Guys sooo much!
