Great ice cream flavors! they have seasonal flavors that you definitely have to check out. i got the sea turtle (i think that was the name) and the pumpkin. both were excellent

They had lots of good flavors and good service. It seems to be a popular place with lots of people coming in. I had the the cookie dough in the toddler size, which was plenty after a big meal at the Fat Dragon just down the street a block and a half. Very nice place for dessert.

Expansive array of flavors that change frequently, so theres always something new to try. Generous scoops make it a good value. Gelato is very rich, with a great, soft consistency.

Cool interior design gives a modern retro feel with tons of selection - lots of chocolate based flavors that did not disappoint. Got peanut butter chocolate and espresso chip that were rich and smooth. Open during covid and has an area out back to sit outside.

While in Richmond I decided after a hot day of visiting museums I desired an ice cream. This was just a short 15 min walk from where I was staying so.... OMG this ice cream is so good and located in a cool place too boot.I selected the small and was told that was two scoops so I could mix and match, which is always a bonus. Salted caramel and Ukrops rainbow cookie scoops were delivered.I recently discovered that Ukrops is the bakery in Richmond and so that was a no brainer. So good! Teh ice cream was rich on taste and creamy in texture just the way ice cream should be.I loved the ice cream scoop wall which was a nice touch to a cool place. Well worth a visit if you are in Richmond.

The atmosphere is great and a nice place to hang and chill around. Flavors are insanely delicious. Best one I’ve been too. I’ll come here for gelati ice cream :).

Apparently “the policy” of this Gelati Celesti location is to not give guests the option for a tip unless they specifically ask for it. I personally am not a fan of this policy. When I have visited this location or any other location in the Richmond area the staff is usually made up of a college aged group. Scooping ice cream is hard, gelato is harder. I’m sure this staff goes home every night with sore wrists. I watched a handful of guests on a busy Sunday evening walk away and ask their group if they had left a tip after their checks were closed. Give the customer the option!!

Very good tasty icecream is offered here, compared to other chain foods there ice cream is not that sugary but tasty. They offer small medium and large portions options, and large is $6.95 which has about 3 scoops or little more. One can choose one flavor or multiple. They also offer icecream Birthday cake and it looked yummy on the display. Plenty of seating inside but it was very cold due to AC on high so we were able go outside and sit on benches which they offer in the back. Very simple place. Nothing fancy and offering tasty icecream for all ages. They also have special price for kids cones $3.95 so it is very kids friendly place. Try it if in this area you wont be disappointed for sure. Location is visible from the main street and easily accessible and plenty of parking is available.

The ice cream is always a treat and a great either end of day or midday pick me up. But the staff are why we keep coming back. The manager Megan was so happy and positive and answered all of my wifes questions. The other staff were just as nice and they are the reason we will keep coming back.

Hands down the very best frozen cow secretion in area. The honey peanut butter cup is incredible. The lemon custard really captures lemon drops in ice cream but the just ask is what keeps us coming back again and again. The North Arthur Ashe location is our preferred location. Thanks you guys!

Nice place. Ice cream is really good. Best is being able to sample. Wife and kids love it. Close to Scotts Addition, so lots of places you can have dinner, see a movie or have a drink then hit this place up.

This place is SO GOOOOD. Whenever family comes into town we always take them here for ice cream. I love that they have their staple flavors and some that they always change up. So happy this spot is right in my neighborhood.

This is the newest location and it is so nice and clean inside! Its very big for an ice cream place so it can fit plenty of people. The ice cream and milkshakes are so good. They are very creamy and rich in flavor. They have a lot of flavors that are always there and also have rotating flavors that are always a hit. I tried the cinnamon baklava and it was amazing! It had big chunks of baklava in it. The red velvet Oreo was fantastic as well. They sell their pints so you can grab one to go. They also make pies and ice cream cakes for order. Samples are always good to try since they have so many flavors and they are totally ok with that. There are high chairs at this locations. The bathrooms are nice, but they dont have baby changing stations.

This store has one of the most incompetent staff or they don’t like asian people like me stopping by. Almost every time I am ignored!! If I am waiting for my turn to pay, or get ice-cream take my order, DONT overlook my position and work with the customer BEHIND me. And then give me an attitude when I voice my concern. This happens every time when I visit this store whether they are busy or not and today at 2:00 pm they were not busy. Train your staff better!!!!!!

It was good but had limited icecream. They were dowm an entire case of flavors. Also, I asked for a large cone and was given a medium. They were too busy for me to complain about it.

I will scream for this ice cream because it’s absolutely delicious!The scoops are generous and the price is just right. I ordered a small, which is 2 scoops, of Just Ask (Oreo/peanut butter/white chocolate base) and Peanut Butter. It was beyond incredible. The combination left me wanting more and more...and more it was that tasty. The only mistake I made was not getting the homemade waffle cone, they looked light and crispy. Honestly, Gelati Celesti could challenge any homemade ice cream shop on the East Coast for best ice cream - it is truly that good! 2021 update - THE ELVIS IS THE BEST FLAVOR ON THE PLANET.I also must highlight the friendly staff! They allowed me to sample any of my requested flavors and offered their favorite combinations (which made my decision that much harder, but necessary). At this location there is plenty of seating inside, so enjoy and relax!

I bought the Almond, chocolate chip, strawberry cup and just fell in love with it. reasonably priced for Ice cream. The place is really clean. Loved that there is a free drinking water in the place because I always drink water after ice cream for some reason. Employees are helpful and let you sample a flavor or two. Spacious shop with a lot of room for gatherings or late night ice cream cravings :)

Great ice cream, disappointing customer service. Another customer had their mask fall below their nose and the manager yelled at them telling them to keep your mask on the whole time youre in the store, buddy. The berating of the customer was completely invalid as the customer was following distance protocols. The vibe was majorly off.

The moment my family and I stepped into this shop, we were constantly berated by the staff. My dad has really bad eyesight and walked to see the menu and got yelled at. I touched their wall of ice cream scoopers and got yelled at even thought were was no sign saying to not touch. My dad got his ice cream and was looking at it and got yelled at not to eat in the store- which he wasn’t even going to do. My moms mask fell below her nose and she didn’t realise it and go firmly reprimanded. If their tone of voice was more kind, maybe I wouldn’t be leaving this review. They were just so rude.

Been eating their ice cream for over 25 years and Ive never tried a flavor that wasnt delicious. If youre a chocolate lover, be sure to get their Chocolate Decadence, and for any coffee lovers, you wont be disappointed with their several coffee flavors.

Tasty gelato. They do curbside pickup. I am not often a fan of cake batter type ice cream or chocolate ice cream but theirs is wonderful. Try chocolate decadence, its fudgy delicious and birthday cake is right up there.

I visited Gelati Celesti a while ago, but still think about the amazing ice cream I had! So good we had to come back multiple nights in a row, and our absolute favorite flavor was a mocha almond chip. Highly recommend— so delicious!

The gelato was 5 stars, the customer service a 1 star. The cashier and especially the man running what appeared to be the curbside pickup were very condescending and spoke loudly at me across the room.There was one group of 3 standing in the corner and my small group in the entire place. No one was ordering at the front after a few minutes of everyone standing around (very far from counter), so I made my way up to check out the selection. After I looked at the selection this man pops up out of no where and speaking to me and the other group behind me in a rude loud voice about us not crossing paths and only one group allowed at a time at the stand. Everyone is confused because we are all distanced from each other? Everyone is respecting the others space. He proceeded to QUESTION the other group if they all lived with MY group of friends?! Who asks stuff like that?? &Ironically, after the man and cashier go off on us, I receive my ice cream at an arm’s length from the girls serving the ice cream (they were kind) and made my payment to the cashier (who was rude) at even less than arm’s length.*the point is, if you are going to be ultra strict and condescending toward customer actions about distancing but don’t practice it yourself with the very same customer you reprimand, then expect to have a very frustrated customer! I am not upset about rules, however I do not appreciate being approached in a hostile manner, especially when spending money somewhere!**i have worked in restaurant/customer service for 10 yearsThis was my first time ever visiting this place, and I will not return again solely based on the experience I had.

We’ve always loved Gelati Celesti but today they took it to the next level! We ordered curbside online and when I called to say we were there for the trunk drop I asked if they could just put a tiny spoonful of vanilla in a cup so my baby could try ice cream for the first time. Yummy flavors! You can taste any flavor before you decide. The ice cream is rich, creamy, and full of flavor. My favorite is chocolate decadence, it is truly decadent and rich. Love that they have finally expanded and have several locations. A true local favorite. My family has been going to the original west end location for years. The staff are happy and friendly.

Im torn. I want to like their ice cream better than I do, but it always seems a little flaccid in its consistency. The flavors are good, the staff are great, the prices are reasonable, but the consistency of the ice cream always leaves me wanting.

Just really good ice cream. The texture is right inside of my wheelhouse. Combo chocolate decadence and salted caramel to take it to levels beyond. The best ice cream combo I have ever tasted and probably best you will ever taste.

Nice, chic, and chill ice cream spot a few exits up 95 from the city. A creative, modern renovation of a garage, with plenty of space and natural and modern lighting. Built-in spout for water thats very convenient. Good number of options to choose from. Not the best gelato youve ever had, but a good place to grab a cup/cone and enjoy. Definitely a friendly staff, as well! Will be back.

I normally object to hyperbolic statements, but I say without irony that this is the best ice cream in Richmond, maybe even Virginia. And I like ice cream. A lot. Huge variety of flavors, with new & seasonal ones added regularly. Options for those with lactose issues or wanting vegan options. And conveniently located in Scotts Addition across from the movie theater. A Richmond staple for 30+ years - and for good reason.

The Ice cream in this store are really good. There is a part-timer who is very kind and has a good personality. Most of staff is well trained. Also, the atmosphere is really cool. store is well designated and clean. Will visit again in the future.
