We have been to this store a few times and the only person who was not rude to us was a young man at the deli. All the other times we have gone, the cashier ; sometimes an elderly gentleman and tonight a younger lady, act like their customers are such bother . Tonight we bought a few items. When the cashier did not offer us a bag, my husband politely asked for one. She stuffed our purchase in the bag and slammed it on the counter . No thank you, no have a good evening. All she said was “next customer “There is another store in the opposite corner and I will only go to this store when that one is closed. Do not shop here unless you absolutely have no other choice!

Great deli

As a local business owner here in Richmond, I’ve been purchasing small items in this shop for the last year. I am in in dismay of how the young male employee in the shop treated me as a customer on the morning of 5/29/20. As I was carefully grabbing some drinks out of the cooler while having to navigate the pallets on the floor, the employee approached me and threatened that “I would be paying for the glass if I broke it.” After telling him he might want to be more mindful of his words with customers, he told me I can go somewhere else. No problem!PS: Never had an issue with the older man who is most likely the owner of this store and who was not present this morning, as he’s always been friendly. The young lady at the register was also helpful, but you may want to reconsider who your other staff members are when they’re directly impacting your bottom line and causing the loss of regular customers.

Great service at both counters and a good selection of groceries and cold drinks. The sandwiches are very good.

I have purchased many sandwiches from Boars Head Deli. On my latest purchase I called in my order and ordered the Brickyard Cove sandwich. I order this sandwich the same all the time. This time, after requesting sliced sourdough bread I received a sourdough roll. When I went back in to have it corrected, I was treated most rudely. I was told by the person who did not take my order that I had ordered a roll when that isnt the case. I said no less than 5 times I wanted SLICED sourdough bread. I was told they would give me the bread I could remake my own sandwich. When I requested that they put the insides of my sandwich on the new bread I couldnt believe how I was treated. Ben is quite possibly the rudest person in the store. I dont recommend this deli as I have been treated rudely most of the time. The sandwiches are good but not worth the price. I am giving a one star rating due completely to the rudeness of one employee, Ben.

Lady working register is rude and not friendly

Friendly folks at this convenience store/deli. The sandwiches are pretty good, and theyve got some Mediterranean food as well (dolmas, great hummus, etc). Decent selection of wine, beer, and liquor, plus all the things youd expect at a convenience store. Produce selection is very limited and of variable quality, but very convenient if you just ran out of limes or need a zucchini stat. Theyre steadily making this place nicer too. You can eat your sandwich at one of their outside tables, or cross the street to the triangle park.

This is a great little market. They have lots of specialty & gourmet items that you wont find anywhere else. They also have a great Boars Head Deli Counter that makes really great sandwiches. If youre ever in Pt. Richmond I suggest stopping by this little market and grab a quick hard to find drink and a few other goodies too.

Food stamps are not taken here; very disappointing for lower income people. A lot of items dont have prices on them. Some of the checkers literally stare at you until youre done shopping.

Most of the items in the store were not priced and the ones that I found a price tag on or asked the staff about turned out to be much more expensive than the given pricing. As a customer I have a basic expectation of knowing the prices before I buy - or at least to get the true price when I ask the staff.

I come here for their excellent sandwiches. I highly recommend the Point Richmond special. Wide selection of beverages chips candy Etc.

The sandwiches are the best in thearea. The area is nice and there are other great places around. You can take a stroll while you eat or takea seat in front and enjoy the peace.

Good selection of fresh and organic produce, healthy drinks, freshly baked pastries (if you get there in time) friendly, patient staff. A local gem in downtown Pt Richmond. Oops. The preceding statements refer to the Santa Fe Market diagonally opposite PRM. PRM has delicious deli items, including store made deviled eggs and friendly, attentive staff. Both are great resources for after swimming carryout snacks.

Can find things here you wont see at other markets. The Deli is hit and miss, its popular, only because of the refinery. Was having a gold run until I had bad chicken salad. I called to let them know it had gone bad, and their reponse simply was ok . I didnt want anything in return, just to inform them not to sell it. Then they said I dont know what you want me to do about it, sometimes it goes bad . So yeah I avoid the Deli now and grab an its - it.

Its a cheap store. Its convenient to stop there before going to the beach.
