Such a great space, like the other reviews say this place has a really warm and inviting atmosphere. RVA Light is nonprofit coffee shop and a recovery safe space. People can bring in their AA chips and receive a free cup of coffee. On top of that they offer weekly free meals. Such a great cause and such friendly staff. The barista working seemed genuinely interested in my well being and we had a very nice conversation.

This coffee shop is so welcoming, and the price for a cup of coffee is about half that at Starbucks! Better yet is the vibe you get when you walk in! There’s a huge chalkboard on the right from floor to ceiling where events are posted, and one look at it tells you that this place exists for so much more than providing a hot cup of coffee. The staff is really happy to see each person who comes in. Instead of being wrapped up in their own little worlds, they look for ways to be a part of the community and help others out! Sometimes you just need a cup of coffee, and sometimes you just need a real friend.....There’s always something exciting going on here - open mic night, baked goodies, so much more, and it’s right on the bus line!

Great friendly atmosphere, R.V.A.Light is striving to bring people in the community up, they have many great programs dealing with recovery and job related training, helping people that may be down on their luck back up on their feet and help train them to sustain gainful and long term independence and also have religious study groups and activities !!! Overall great people and great community also some of the best coffee in metro area!!!

Peaceful atmosphere great coffee. Friendly staff. Also they offer groups daily at 10 am womens group is on Tuesday N.A. on Saturdays...overcomers group etc. They offer lunch sometimes to help the homeless. This is a Christian run establishment and they care about thier patrons.
