The ice cream doesnt taste like authentic Italian Gelato. I think Rays Frozen Custard tastes better, costs less, and gives you more. The customer service leaves much to be desired and the employees didnt seem to take allergies very seriously.

Had a wonderful experience walking into the Frost Gelato this afternoon and was greeted with taste samples. Was excited to see the combo hot chocolate milk cup with gelato filling. It was super rich and more then I could eat but perfectly made and presented. The store was full so we had to sit outside but was happily given waters after sitting down and checked on by a staff member. Very positive and respectful people working here.

Amazing Gelato and friendly staff. Employee greeted us and asked if we wanted any free samples. Explained all of their options and sizes to us. Offered a taste of the flavor I ordered to make sure I liked it. Gelato was delicious and flavorful. Employee walked out with a tray of water and offered us some while we ate. Nice atmosphere with videos showing how their Gelato is made. Watched them help a lot of guest kindly and patiently every time. Would recommend to anyone looking for a great treat.

A great place for gelato. They have some tasty flavors— from classic, creamy gelato to sorbet. I like how they had a marshmallow flavor and a Nutella flavor. Their milkshakes are delicious— I enjoyed the combination of the dark chocolate and cherry Merlot gelato for the milkshake I had.If you check-in on Yelp you get a free piece of chocolate-covered ice cream truffle in the flavor of your choice* (*out of the ones they have available for those ice cream truffles). The place is small and it can get crowded sometimes, yet the gelato is definitely worth trying.

This was the first time ever that I went to Short Pump Mall after moving from Philly to Glen Allen. I went here about 3 weeks to a month ago and started to write my review but never finished until now.This was my first time trying authentic gelato. All the flavors were nice and had so many DELICIOUS flavors I couldnt choose which one I wanted. There sorbets were out of this world and there normal Gelato were very rich and creamy. I also was AMAZED by the great service from Felicity, Reeshi, and Shaan. They were three nice young employees who helped me and my large family.

Nothing like lemon gelato on a hot day! So refreshingly good.Loved the selection. Service was friendly and fast. I will definitely be back.There is another gelateria in the area whose gelato doesnt taste like this. Not sure how you can mess it up, but this is the real deal. Lemon is supposed to be WHITE, not yellow. ;)

This review is going to be short and sweet.. This place is phenomenal! The Gelato are some of the best Ive ever had. My wife and I had the Chocolate Hazelnut and it quickly became one of our favorite flavors. They have a nice selection of dairy free sorbets, too, for vegans and people who are dairy intolerant. Their customer service is also outstanding. I could have probably stood there and tried every flavor without feeling pressured into making a final decision. The location is perfect, so if youre in Short Pump Town Center, check this place out!

The place is so pretty and the icecream looked good so I tried it one day. Got a tiny cup that cost like $5 (overpriced) with the classic oreo icecream and it was just so bland and nothing special. I was really disappointed, not going to be spending my money there ever again.

Too expensive. Its just ice cream to me. If you really like ice cream, you should try it.

My favorite gelato place from AZ is now in VA!! Now I dont have to move back west. Seriously, Frost is on the Top 3 Reason to Move Back to Phoenix list. The displays are beautiful and the taste matches it 100%. Flavors change periodically. Its gets really fun around fall. Try it, its addicting!

Very good. Quick service even when busy. Prices are a bit higher than some other gelato shops but the quality for some flavors can justify the price difference.

If you are in the Short Pump area and are looking for authentic and cream GELATO you must try out Frost. There is no other comparison in Richmond. I met the manager and the gelato is made in the back of their store daily and has no eggs or butter and way less fat than ice cream. This isn’t ice cream this is gelato! A much creamier version with less fat. I’m SOLD....If you haven’t been you need to go!

I have come to this gelato shop several times in Short Pump mall and it never disappoints! They have SO many different flavors... seriously the possibilities are endless. The presentation and aesthetics are incredible. I have never been to Italy, but this is what I imagine authentic gelato must take like. I have recommended this place to all my friends and will definitely be coming back. I also had the pleasure of speaking to the owner once and he is so passionate about the gelato and was so friendly and pleasant to talk to. A common misconception is that many other ice cream shops, such as Gelati Celesti, sell gelato, but they actually sell ice cream. There are very few gelato shops in Richmond. If you want real authentic gelato, this is your place!

I found the Gelato to be pretty bland tasting and quite over priced for how much you get.

Soooooo good! Was visiting this area over the weekend and glad I tried it! Flavors so rich, gelato so creamy, and the employees and customer service were exceptional! I loved how many flavors there were to choose from. My favorite was the toasted marshmallow and the lotus cookie 😋

Would like to see the price decrease. across the street at celeati the price is about a dollar cheaper. Still, tasty flavors and quality is great. It should be 4.50 for 2 scoops.

Go to destination for gelato. Fresh made gelato with amazing presentation and flavor to match. They also offer a wide range of sorbets, bon bons, gelato cakes, and gelato themed beverages. Try out the different flavors and find combos to refresh the palette without the bloat and sluggishness with having ice cream.The owner was onsite during my second visit and took a lot of time to describe the techniques, discuss the machines, the process, and his vision. He cares so much about the details, the process, and his people. The passion truly shows through their collective work and the amazing gelato.
