I needed an aftermarket backup cam installed in my mini. The Mini Cooper dealership recommended Audio One and said they provided great after market installs. My experience was fantastic. Very helpful and knowledgeable. I went to a few places prior and no one wanted to attempt the install claiming it was too challenging but I was able to get in and out here with no problem. 100% recommend for quality of work as well as for the great customer service.

Audio one did great with my new tint on my impala. It looks awesome!Anthony at the front desk was very helpful. He mentioned ceramic tint which I had no idea what it was at the time. He did not put any pressure into using it which is surprising from usual. He basically just mentioned check it out and let me know. After doing my own research ceramic was the way to go and I am glad I did. They also managed to work this into there already busy schedule and finished it the next day before 4pm as I requested. Thanks Audio one! Going to tell all my friends about you guys.

I had an issue with my car radio not turning off, and no other shop seemed to be able to help me without charging me an obscene amount. Audio One was able to help me no problem, even though they had never seen this before! Super kind and welcoming, fast service, no fluff. One visit and I’ve become a loyal customer!

First off, walk inside and no one is around. Someone comes in, ignores me, and walks back out. I had to loudly ask for service and these kids come in all non-chalet and don’t even know anything about what I’m asking so they get someone else for me. This place really tried to charge around $350 for an amp installation. What a joke. Take your service elsewhere, they are scammers.

Audio One has the most kind and helpful workers around. You tell them what you need done and they do it right. They work very quickly and always do it 100%. They installed my car play in less than two days and also uninstalled it when i needed to put it in a new car... they are the best!!!

Installed a system myself. Was running into issues getting it to work. Took it up to Audio One on Easter Saturday. Tanner the tech took the time to find and fix the issue quickly. Amd even went the extra step to adjust the levels to perfection. Highly recommend these guys for any issues you might be having getting your system to not only work but thump down the road!

I paid $487 for installation for what, kept my car for 3 days & when I picked my car up. My door was cracked open, my stuff that I had in my trunk was thrown in my back seat & speaker box was not place in my trunk properly. Went to move my speaker box around the next day & my wires on the box came apart, I had to re-do my wires & crimped them down tight myself. Did not have this problem years ago when Donnie was running the place. Was going back to get truck done, but will not be going back. Look for a better place to go, just know that I was piss.

Very informative but also pricey $$$...

I spoke with Anthony on Monday regarding pricing to install a remote start in my Kia optima he told me that the pricing started at $99 depending upon what I chose. I asked him a direct question and his response was it shouldnt be more than a couple of hundred dollars so I drove 94 miles to Richmond VA from where I live only to meet someone else who quoted me a price of $450, a total waste of time, beware of these individuals..... Most establishments will give you clear and direct pricing not these people, save yourself the waste of time and look elsewhere,

I highly recommend using this store for any of your car AV needs, I purchased an aftermarket radio off of a website, I was going to attempt to install it myself but found after a day of trying it was too difficult for me to do myself, I was concerned that getting a shop installation was going to be expensive but found that this shop does installs for exceptionally lower than other shops do, so I took my car in and they were able to install the radio the day I arrived in just a few hours and did a great job on installing it, later on I was interested in getting a subwoofer for my car as well, I have very little knowledge of subwoofers and I planned on just going to their shop to get an estimate and a little educated on the topic, yet they were able to find me everything I needed for a great price and despite being near closing and busy they were able to install the sub the same day in just around 2 hours, three install was very clean and I am extremely satisfied.

Went to Audio One and the guy said lets go take a look & fixed it for free on the spot!...took 3 minutes and their awesome!

I was convinced by the lead man or manager Anthony that I was getting a great deal with them installing a touch screen stereo that I had purchased on-line. I want to explain the entire episode but its a long story. In short, when spending $550.00 for the installation of a stereo only, the customer service there leaves a lot to be desired. I left there feeling like s__t. I have no problem with the work itself. The customer service was horrible. Anthony was great but when I get my vehicle back, I expect everything to be back where it was when when I gave it to you. I cared more about that than the installation because its the SMALL THINGS THAT MAKE THE BIGGEST DIFFERENCE!!!

Installed exactly what I asked for. Prices were very reasonable. Took time to make sure I knew exactly what I was buying beforehand and helped me navigate my new head unit after install. Work was very professional looking. I felt very welcome in the store. Very good experience.

I had a backup camera installed on my car there 3 years ago. When I had a problem, I took it back. They were very accommodating and did a great job getting it back on track without having to spend a fortune. Friendly staff.

Recently had a new audio system placed in my Hyundai Elantra so that it included a backup camera. Trying to figure out what I really wanted was the hard part. I found the staff at Audio One to be the most knowledgeable and helpful in my decision making. The job was done without any problems and the new system looks just like it was factory installed. I am extremely pleased with my new backup camera and really do use it all the time. The sound system is incredible and actually much better than my original. Each time I went back for help in using it, KC and Anthony greeted me warmly and were more than willing to take time to again show me details on how it worked. Think I got it now! I couldnt have been more pleased with their service and would highly recommend them to anyone.

I had a head unit installed. They kept the spare parts for it, and setup the radio wrong. I have a standard speaker setup and they set it to network. Which sounded terrible and caused the front speakers to have very low tiny sounding audio.After I did some research, I found out that I needed to factory reset it. From there I could change it from network to standard.Now I have good sound, but I am disappointed about my missing spare parts (screws and metal sleeve). I can no longer resell or properly move the radio in the future.The guy at the counter was very nice

Do not do business with these people! 100% untrustworthy! There is another car audio place less than a mile up the road. They will try to convince you that their prices are inflated due to being a brick and mortar store. Tried to sell me two fuse holders at roughly 300% mark up from anywhere else you can purchase it, and tried to sell me some CCA wire claiming that it was pure copper. You have been warned. Just go somewhere else.

Went in to replace blown back door speakers. Salesmen constantly tried to oversell me on equipment I did not want. Stressed to salesman that I was looking for clarity. I was not interested in a boom box for base at all, but they still added one. The big box takes up too much space in trunk. My purchase sounds worse than my original factory speakers. Had to end up vacuuming car myself and clean out pieces of cut wire left behind. Also had to return several times to have back seat secured (was left unattached) and adjust sound. Now I have to spend more money to alleviate the rattling sound from the base box and get the quality sound I had again. Will not return for any future services . Totally unhappy with my purchase.

Well worth the wait.Took my 2012 sonata for installation with subwoofer . Excellent customer service . Genuine, honest people and work. Highly recommend to anyone who needs installation work . Went in to get some speaker baffles for my 94 Miata, since the aftermarket speakers didnt have the waterproofing that the factory ones did. The guys inside were extremely helpful, and since they were out of boxed baffles in my size, they took down their display baffles and sold them to me, sacrificing their display for me. I was impressed. Very impressed.

Best customer service ever! Nick helped me. pick out a really nice stereo for my car that has Apple CarPlay. After the work was finished, I was sooo excited. It looked beautiful. Very OEM like. However, when I put my car in reverse, I noticed my backup camera wasn’t acting right. Nick came back outside, (I didn’t ask him too, he just noticed that something was wrong). He then apologized, and said that he would order a part to fix it. Once the part came in, Nick’s team fixed the issue and now my stereo works beautifully.The work was done great, but the customer service is what makes Audio One 5 stars. Nick explained everything to me: the good and the bad. If I have any stereo needs, I would definitely come back to Audio One.

Took my 2005 Volvo XC90 to these guys and they did an outstanding job, with amazing customer service.

Poor service.

I told an old car in to see about upgrading the existing stereo. Rather than sell me on doing a lot (new speakers, receiver, amps, etc.) they told me to just try upgrading the speakers first. The sound improved enough from just that suggestion that I didnt need to do the rest. They will actually sit in your car and listen to what you have before giving you a sales pitch. You might buy products cheaper on Amazon but you wont get their expertise or advice. Wish more businesses operated like theirs. Ill be back.

They installed audio system great they also made sure that I was satisfied with the music that I was looking for and the staff there are so awesome they make you feel like you are at home the sales Manager is knowledgeable about their products .What I like most of all they had what I was looking for in my budget.

Review for Audio OneI took my 2008 Hyundai Veracruz to them for a problem with a battery drain that neither Pearson Hyundai or West Broad Hyundai was able to diagnose correctly or repair. They took the time to do diagnostic testing to be sure that it was an issue with the factory radio as I found in an online article about the Veracruz shown below….I am the original owner of a 2008 Veracruz and I have similar experience. The car had 3 batteries in my first 3 years of ownership. The first two were OEM batteries which I put the blame on. The dealer refused to pay the full price for the third battery. So, I bought an InterState battery instead. The problem persists. It had battery drainage problem since the first day I owned the car. Six years later, with 55000 miles on the odometer, the problem remains. The car would fail to start every now and then. I always keep a set of jumper cable in the trunk just in case which I have used in many occasions. Thanks, OZ, for pinpointing the issue. A couple of weeks ago, I removed the fuse for stereo system. It’s labeled Audio 2 on the fuse diagram. I have had no issue starting the car since. I miss my radio/CD player/clock/temperature display. But I’m glad that my car would start every time now. It is a known design problem. Hyundai should come up for a fix and pay for the repair. This is probably the last Hyundai that I’ll buy. The Veracruz has spent more time in the shop than my Honda with 200000 miles which I’m also the original owner.They replaced the factory radio with a new one and I have not had the problem since them. They were easy to work with, seemed to really care about finding the problem and fixing it and making sure it was the correct fix. I probably had 5 conversations with them about it while trying to figure out what was going on and taking it to dealerships leading up to when I actually took it to them and never got the feeling they didn’t have time or were getting impatient about me bringing it in.. First rate customer service and repair work. They even called the next day to see if the car continued to start.

I called them looking for an AUX adapter for my Alpine head unit. The gentleman answered the phone with an attitude right off the bat. I explained what I was looking for and he asked me for the model number of my head unit, as I was looking for the model number he got really snappy at me and I proceeded to hang up on him. If this is the service I get with a phone call that lasted no longer than 1 minute, I cant imagine going to the shop. I will never shop with them ever and will tell everyone I know to go somewhere else.

Terrible service Donnie sold me the wrong tires for my truck so I was only able to get about 15,000 miles out of the 8 ply tires when 10 ply tires should have been used but I guess they profit more putting 8 ply on there and assured me it would be ok when I noticed it. Then after I confronted them about it he said he would try to work something out and call me the next day,but never called.I even called and left another message tried to let them make it rite but no response so took my business elsewhere. Might as well of thrown 1200.00 dollars in the trash. Never again!!

I told them to put a trunk sub enclosure in my car. They guys (plural) couldnt figure out why it wouldnt fit. To their dismay, I told them they needed to remove the moldings in the trunk before they started. They refused to do that sort of thing. When we fired up the subs, there sounded like there was a pile of nuts and bolts hanging out under the enclosure because there was. I picked the car up the next day, the shop had lost the cable I use to pluck in my iphone, and refused to buy a new one or deduct a portion of my bill. The ppl are rude, it cost me $400 to have them run a few wires and scratch up the mouldings in my trunk so bad I now need to replace them. Do not listen to the bs they spoon feed you when you arrive. Get a quote over the phone and remember who you talked to if youre determined to use audio one.RIP OFF!!

Ask to speak to Josh Pike he is great with helping if you are not sure what direction you want to go. I went to audio one 4/20/2016 and got my car back on 4/23/2016. I got everything done on my dodge challenger from the car deck, tweeters in the front dash to the subwoofers in the trunk. I had a lot of questions but Josh Pike had a answer for every question and had great ideas. Even when it came to the rims I got there as well. There prices are great. Josh Pike and Will Smith did a great job on my car custom trunk design. I never seen some many people who love and is very passionate about there work. You will feel great getting your car done here they dont rush you I the store. Josh took his time and let me hear the different in all the door 5.25 and rear 6X9s. So I could get a feel of what sound I wanted in my car. The subwoofers JL W6 hits great in my car. I have to say this was the best money I ever spent. Rims, tweeters, door and rear speakers, subwoofers and car deck. A great one stop shop. I spent over $8,000 in this shop in one visit and it was worth every penny.

I have had numerous systems purchased and installed at 90% of every car audio store in the Richmond area. Audio One stands alone in professionalism, product quality and value, honesty of your final end cost, and quality/timely installs. I will never use another store again. Dave, the MGR., listened to what I wanted/needed, made excellent suggestions, but did not press them on me, and gave me a honest estimate on the install. I went w/ my factory head unit to an Apline PDX4.150 pushing four component speakers(JL c-230s) and a Alpine mono 500 watt rms sub amp ( you have to settle for that as I cant recall the exact model!! ) pushing a single JL 12w6? in a sealed inclosure. Dave made the recommendation the w/ my four channel running w/ so many watts that I should replace the factory speaker wire. I did am am VERY happy. The system came to the exact dollar of the estimate, was installed timely ( okay maybe it took a bit long than expected, however, they were replacing all the factory speaker wiring. My system rocks! I have had it now for almost a year and there has beenzero ( count em zero ) problems. I would completely recommend this store to a friend.

Gave them a radio to install and they did so. But the end product of their service was horrible. They didnt test the radio to see if any any of it worked: bluetooth, iPod cable, subwoofer output, etc. The sight of the wiring was horrible-- why leave useless wires channeled from the radio to my amp that are no longer being used? Very unprofessional look.The bluetooth calling didnt work when I first tried it. They pulled it around back and said the cable was pulled from the radio just a tad. They fixed it and now 2 months later its out again. Bu the BIGGEST problem is that theres a shortage somewhere in my car since they worked on it! I cant turn my music up without the radio going into what I believe is Safe Mode. Then they threaten me with extra charges, when they shouldve known this problem existed upon initial installation. Not before and not 1 day down the road. RIGHT THEN. This issue especially with the horrible layout of what little wires are shown, is a clear example of horrible technical expertise. I can only imagine how horrible my wires look behind the radio. Smh.DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE
